Enuff Z'Nuff, pronounced "enough's enough", is an American hard rock band from Blue Island, Illinois. Founded by singer Donnie Vie and bassist Chip Z'Nuff (born Gregory Rybarski), this Chicago area band is best known for their charting singles "Fly High Michelle" and "New Thing". Enuff Z'Nuff has continually recorded and toured throughout their career of more than 25 years, releasing 12 studio albums and a total of 19 CDs to date. Their songs have been recorded by several other musicians, some of which include Paul Gilbert, The Wildhearts, and Nelson. The band has a fan-base around the world which includes radio personality Howard Stern.
Ft.Danger Danger, Vain, Alice Cooper. Danger Danger is an American glam metal/hard rock band, formed in 1987 in Queens, New York. Despite enjoying moderate success in the U.S. with their debut album Danger Danger, the band vanished from the radar due to legal problems and changes in its line-up. Vain is an American heavy metal band from San Francisco Bay Area, California, formed in 1986. As of 2011, the lineup consists of Davy Vain (lead vocals), Jamie Scott (guitar), Danny West (guitar), Ashley Mitchell (bass) and Louie Senor (drums). After recording a demo, Davy Vain founded Vain in 1986, adding Scott, West, Mitchell and drummer Tom Rickard to the lineup. They signed with Island Records in 1988, before releasing their debut album the following year, titled No Respect, which peaked at number 154 on the Billboard 200. Though they recorded a second album, Vain were released by Island in 1991, with West and Rickard departing the same year. Following the addition of both Shawn Rorie and former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler, Vain renamed themselves Road Crew. However, they also disbanded in 1991. The band reformed in 1993 and go through a number of lineup changes for the release of their next two studio albums. By 2005, Scott and West had returned to the band, while Rickard would rejoin them in 2009 (before departing again the following year). To date, Vain have released six studio albums; No Respect (1989); Move On It (1993); Fade (1995); On The Line (2005); All Those Strangers (2010), and Enough Rope (2011). Alice Cooper (born Vincent Damon Furnier; February 4, 1948) is an American rock singer, songwriter, and musician whose career spans six decades. With a stage show that features guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood, boa constrictors, and baby dolls, he is considered by fans and peers alike to be "The Godfather of Shock Rock"; Cooper has drawn equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock to pioneer a grandly theatrical and macabre brand of rock designed to shock.
Ft. Sleeze Beeze, Roxx, Whitesnake. Sleeze Beez are a glam metal band formed in 1987 in The Netherlands. They released four studio albums and one live album over a nine-year career before disbanding in 1996. Roxx Gang was a band formed in St. Petersburg, Florida in 1982. They were fronted by Kevin Steele, who formed the band along with guitarist Eric Carrell. The band garnered record company attention in 1987 with their Love 'Em and Leave 'Em demo. They recorded their debut album Things You've Never Done Before on Virgin Records from which they released two singles "No Easy Way Out" and "Scratch My Back" with their lineup now consisting of Steele, Jeff Taylor Blanchard (guitar), Wade Hayes (guitar), Roby "Strychnine" Strine (bass), and David James Blackshire (drums). It was produced by Beau Hill and went on to sell a quarter million copies worldwide. This version of the band broke up in 1991 due to infighting and record company issues. Steele then formed a new version of the band along with Roby Strine, guitarist Dallas Perkins and drummer Andy James. Later drummer Tommy Weder and guitarist Stacey Blades replaced James and Perkins. Strine left in 1994 and was replaced by Dorian Sage. The band released its first album since Things You've Never Done Before called The Voodoo You Love and went on to release several more albums in the late 1990s. The band added guitarist Jeff Vitolo and bassist Vinnie Granese replaced Sage. Soon after Roxx Gang created a blues/rock alter-ego "The Mojo Gurus". Blades left citing "musical differences" after which evolution into The Mojo Gurus became permanent. In 2006 two of their songs off of the Things You've Never Done Before album, 'Ball 'N Chain' and 'No Easy Way Out,' were featured in the THQ game Saints Row. Whitesnake are a British rock band, founded in 1978 by David Coverdale after his departure from his previous band, Deep Purple. Their early material has been compared by critics to Deep Purple, but they slowly began moving for a more commercially accessible hard rock style. By the turn of the decade, the band's commercial fortunes changed and they released a string of UK top 10 albums, Ready an' Willing (1980), Come an' Get It (1981), Saints & Sinners (1982) and Slide It In (1984), the latter of which was their first to chart in the US and eventually went 2x platinum. The band's 1987 self-titled album was their most commercially successful worldwide, and contained two major US hits, "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love", reaching number one and two on the Hot 100. In 1988, Whitesnake was nominated for the Brit Award for Best British Group.Slip of the Tongue (1989), was also a success, reaching the top 10 in the US and UK, and receiving a 2x platinum US certification. The band split up shortly after this release, but had a reunion in 1994, and released a one-off studio album, Restless Heart (1997). Whitesnake officially reformed in 2002 and have been touring together since, releasing two studio albums, Good to Be Bad (2008) and Forevermore (2011). In 2005, Whitesnake was named the 85th greatest hard rock band of all time by VH1.

Accept is a German heavy metal band from the town of Solingen, originally assembled by former vocalist Udo Dirkschneider, guitarist Wolf Hoffmann and bassist Peter Baltes. Their beginnings can be traced back to the late 1960s. The band played an important role in the development of speed metal, being part of the German heavy metal scene, which emerged in the early to mid-1980s. Following their disbandment in 1997 and short-lived reunion in 2005, Accept reunited again in 2009 with former T.T. Quick frontman Mark Tornillo replacing Dirkschneider and released their two highest charting albums to date, Blood of the Nations and Stalingrad.

Paul Daniel "Ace" Frehley (/ˈfreɪli/; born April 27, 1951) is an American musician best known as the former lead guitarist and founding member of the rock band Kiss. He took on the persona of the "Spaceman" or "Space Ace", and played with the group from its inception in 1973 until his departure in 1982. After leaving Kiss, Frehley embarked on a solo career, which was put on hold when he rejoined Kiss in 1996 for a highly successful reunion tour. His second tenure with Kiss lasted until 2002, when he left at the conclusion of what was purported to be the band's Farewell Tour. His latest album Anomaly, was released on September 15, 2009. Guitar World magazine ranked him 14th Greatest Metal Guitarist of All Time. In a 2009 interview with Rock N Roll Experience Magazine, Ace stated, "I'm an Anomaly, I'm an un-schooled musician, I don't know how to read music, but I'm one of the most famous guitar players in the world, so go figure."
Ft. Twisted Sister, Dokken, Skid Row. Twisted Sister is an American heavy metal band from Long Island, New York. Musically, the band implements elements of traditional heavy metal bands such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest along with a driving style that is similar to AC/DC. While the band members' famously cross-dressed appearance might seem to link them with the 1980s glam metal movement, Twisted Sister's aggressive musical style was coupled with a more grotesque use of makeup and women's clothing resulting in a product quite distinct from the more hedonistic androgyny of glam metal groups like Mötley Crüe and Poison. Often mistaken as glam metal for their image, the band often aren't recgonized as glam metal[3] and the band considers the "glam metal" tag to be inappropriate. Twisted Sister are also ranked No.73 in VH1's 100 greatest artists of hard rock. Although the band was formed by guitarist Jay Jay French in December 1972, all of their songs were written by Dee Snider from 1976 onward. Snider remarked to David Letterman that the proposed name for the band was "This" but was rejected for fear of fans saying "This sucks". He describes Twisted Sister as "Slade meets Sex Pistols". Twisted Sister's most well-known hits include "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock", both popularized in the USA by regular airplay on MTV in the 1980s. Many of the band's songs explore themes of parent vs. child conflicts and criticisms of the educational system. Dokken is an American heavy metal band formed in 1976. They split up in 1989 but reformed four years later. The group accumulated numerous charting singles and has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. The band was nominated for a Grammy in 1989. Dokken was composed of founder Don Dokken on vocals, George Lynch on lead guitar, Juan Croucier on bass and Mick Brown on drums. In 1983 Croucier left Dokken in order to join Ratt and was replaced by Jeff Pilson. Currently only Dokken and Brown remain from the original line-up. After several personnel changes on guitar Dokken's attorney Jon Levin stepped in to fill the role in 2004. In 2001 Barry Sparks replaced Jeff Pilson on bass. In 2009, Sean McNabb (formerly of Great White and Quiet Riot fame) replaced Barry Sparks on bass guitar. Skid Row is an American heavy metal band, formed in 1986 in Toms River, New Jersey. They were very successful in the late 1980s and early 1990s, with their first three multi-platinum albums. In their years of greatest success the band consisted of Sebastian Bach (vocals), Dave "The Snake" Sabo (guitar), Scotti Hill (guitar), Rachel Bolan (bass) and Rob Affuso (drums). Anthony Martin Harford (born 19 April 1957), better known by his stage name Tony Martin, is a heavy metal vocalist best known for his work with Black Sabbath from 1987 to 1990 and again from 1993 to 1997. Martin was the band's second longest serving vocalist after Ozzy Osbourne. Martin has since been involved in many other projects (such as the Tony Martin Band, M3, The Alliance, Misha Calvin, The Cage, Giuntini Project, Phenomena's Psychofantasy album). Despite performing almost exclusively as a vocalist, Martin is a multi-instrumentalist, stating in an interview that he plays guitar, bass, drums, violin, keyboards, harmonica, bagpipes, and pan pipes. On his 2005 solo album Scream, Martin performed vocals, bass, drums, violin and additional guitar parts. Michael Willy Schenker (born 10 January 1955, Sarstedt, Lower Saxony) is a German rock guitarist, best known for his tenure in UFO, in addition to his solo band. He first rose to fame as an early member of the Scorpions, then achieved fame in the mid-1970s as the lead guitar player for UFO. Since leaving UFO in 1978, he has been leading the Michael Schenker Group in various incarnations. He has rejoined UFO three times, producing an album each time. He is the younger brother of Rudolf Schenker, who is still a guitarist with the Scorpions. His career has had many ups and downs, partly due to a long history of alcoholism and personal problems; still, Schenker continues to perform and record and to maintain a following, and is called a legendary figure in the history of metal guitar.

The classic lineup as signed to Geffen Records in 1986, consisted of vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler. Today, Axl Rose is the only remaining original member, in a lineup that comprises Use Your Illusion–era keyboardist Dizzy Reed, lead guitarists DJ Ashba and Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, lead and rhythm guitarist Richard Fortus, bassist Tommy Stinson, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardist Chris Pitman. The band released six studio albums, accumulating sales of more than 100 million records worldwide, including shipments of 45 million in the United States, making them one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time. Saul Hudson (born July 23, 1965), better known by his stage name Slash, is a British-American musician and songwriter. He is best known as the former lead guitarist of the American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, with whom he achieved worldwide success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. During his later years with Guns N' Roses, Slash formed the side project Slash's Snakepit. He then co-founded the supergroup Velvet Revolver, which re-established him as a mainstream performer in the mid to late 2000s. Slash has since released two solo albums, Slash (2010), featuring an all-star roster of guest musicians, and Apocalyptic Love (2012), recorded with singer/guitarist Myles Kennedy, along with rhythm section Brent Fitz and Todd Kerns, known on the album as The Conspirators. Slash has received critical acclaim as a guitarist. Time named him runner-up on their list of "The 10 Best Electric Guitar Players" in 2009, while Rolling Stone placed him at No. 65 on their list of "The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" in 2011. In 2012, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, along with other members of Guns N' Roses. Bon Jovi is an American rock band from Sayreville, New Jersey. Formed in 1983, Bon Jovi consists of lead singer and namesake Jon Bon Jovi (John Francis Bongiovi, Jr.), guitarist Richie Sambora, bassist Hugh McDonald, keyboardist David Bryan, and drummer Tico Torres. The band's lineup has remained mostly static during its history, the only exception being the 1994 dismissal of bass player Alec John Such. In 1986, Bon Jovi achieved widespread global recognition with their third album, Slippery When Wet. The band's fourth album, New Jersey was equally successful in 1988, and between 1986—1995, Bon Jovi had 13 U.S. Top 40 hits, including four number-one songs on the Billboard Hot 100: "You Give Love a Bad Name", "Livin' on a Prayer", "Bad Medicine", and "I'll Be There for You". The band released several albums in the late 1980s and gained airplay on MTV with music videos for songs like "Once Bitten, Twice Shy". The band reached their peak popularity with the album ...Twice Shy in 1989. The band continued to release new material into the 1990s, although none of their material charted in the United States. In 2003, the band made headlines when The Station nightclub fire led to the deaths of 100 people in West Warwick, Rhode Island, including the band's guitarist Ty Longley, who had been a member of Jack Russell's solo band. In 2011 the band split with Jack Russell forming "Great White Featuring Jack Russell" and Terry Ilous fronted Great White. As of August 2007, Great White sold over 8 million records worldwide. uiet Riot is an American heavy metal band, best known for their hit singles "Metal Health" and "Cum On Feel the Noize." The band was founded in 1973 by guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni under the original name Mach 1, before changing the name to Little Women and finally Quiet Riot in May 1975. The band's name was inspired by a conversation with Rick Parfitt of the British band Status Quo, in which Parfitt said he'd like to name a band "Quite Right",[1] and his thick English accent made it sound like he was saying "Quiet Riot". The original line-up featured Rhoads and Garni with lead vocalist Kevin DuBrow and drummer Drew Forsyth. Their current lineup features no original members from the Randy Rhoads era, and consists of lead vocalist Scott Vokoun, drummer Frankie Banali, bassist Chuck Wright and guitarist Alex Grossi. They are ranked at No. 100 on VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.
Ft.Cinderella,Def Leppard, Kingdome Come. Cinderella is an American glam metal band from Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania. They emerged in the mid-1980s with a series of multi-platinum albums and hit singles whose music videos received heavy MTV rotation. They were famous for being a glam metal band, but then shifted over towards a more hard rock/blues-rock sound. By the mid-1990s, the band's popularity declined severely due to personal setbacks, break-ups, and changes in the music industry. Nonetheless, after a hiatus the band reunited and is still active at present. The band has sold 15 million albums worldwide, according to Tom Keifer's official website. Def Leppard are an English rock band formed in 1977 in Sheffield as part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. Since 1992, the band has consisted of Rick Savage (bass, backing vocals), Joe Elliott (lead vocals), Rick Allen (drums, backing vocals), Phil Collen (guitar, backing vocals), and Vivian Campbell (guitar, backing vocals). This is the band's longest-standing line-up. The band's strongest commercial success came between the early 1980s and the early 1990s. Their 1981 album High 'n' Dry was produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange, who helped them begin to define their style, and the album's stand out track "Bringin' On the Heartbreak" became one of the first metal videos played on MTV in 1982. The band's next studio album Pyromania in 1983, with the lead single "Photograph", turned Def Leppard into a household name. In 2003, the album ranked number 384 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Kingdom Come is a hard rock band fronted by Hamburg-born vocalist Lenny Wolf. The group's first album, Kingdom Come is to date the band's most internationally popular and biggest selling recording. The band currently consists of an entirely German line-up.

Slaughter is an American hard rock band formed in Las Vegas, Nevada by lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Mark Slaughter and bassist Dana Strum. The band reached stardom in 1990 with their first album Stick It to Ya, which spawned several hit singles including "Up All Night", "Spend My Life", "Mad About You" and "Fly to the Angels". The album reached double platinum status in the United States. The band remains a steady act in national tours, mainly in the Rock Never Stops Tour which features several bands of the same era.
Vains of Jenna were a glam metal/hard rock band formed in Falkenberg, Sweden during January 2005. They later moved to Los Angeles, California, though most of the band members now reside back in Sweden. On January 26, 2012, the band confirmed on Facebook and MySpace that they had "mutually and amicably" decided to disband.
Forming the band in the mid-1980s, Vinnie Vincent recruited bassist Dana Strum, who had served as a talent scout in L.A., recruiting band members for the likes of Ozzy Osbourne. Because he had found both Jake E. Lee and the late Randy Rhoads for Ozzy Osbourne, Paul Stanley had contacted Osbourne to inquire about where he found the guitarists, and was given Strum's name. Unable to find anyone KISS considered to be on Vincent's level, Strum decided to find Vincent himself in hopes of working together. Bobby Rock came on board as the drummer. With the nucleus of the band completed, the band searched for a lead vocalist. Former Journey singer Robert Fleischman provided vocals on Vinnie Vincent Invasion's self-titled debut album. The record included primarily the style of glam metal, with much of it re-worked versions of demos Vincent recorded in 1982 with former New England members Hirsch Gardner, Gary Shea, and Jimmy Waldo as Warrior, with Vincent essentially replacing John Fannon as guitarist and vocalist. Warrior disbanded when Vincent was selected to be a member of KISS. Fleischman exited the band during a contract dispute and a video was produced for the song "Boyz Are Gonna Rock" with new vocalist Mark Slaughter lipsyncing over Fleischman's vocal track. With Slaughter now on board, the band released their second album, All Systems Go in May 1988. The album featured one of the group's best-known hits, "Ashes to Ashes," and "Love Kills," which appeared on the A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master soundtrack. Later in 1988, the band was released from their contract with Chrysalis Records. Having grown annoyed with what they perceived to be Vincent's domination of the project, Slaughter and Strum left to form the band Slaughter, which would go on to have success. Bobby Rock has played as a touring drummer for Slaughter, but was not in the initial line-up. After Vinnie Vincent Invasion broke up, he briefly joined Nitro, later Nelson, and then went on to play as a session musician with other bands. Subsequent to the band's release from their Chrysalis contract and the resultant split of Slaughter and Strum to form Slaughter, Vincent reunited with original Vinnie Vincent Invasion vocalist Robert Fleischman and recorded the unreleased album Pyro Messiah (aka Guitars From Hell). Andre LaBelle, (drummer from 1989 to 1992), along with Fleischman, formed a new band "The Sky" in 2011. A tribute album entitled KISS MY ANKH: A Tribute To Vinnie Vincent was released by SplitScreen Entertainment on August 27, 2008. The album consists of new recordings of songs from Vincent's careers with KISS and Vinnie Vincent Invasion. Featured artists include Steve Brown of Trixter, Troy Patrick Farrell of White Lion, T.J. Racer of Nitro, Sheldon Tarsha of Adler's Appetite, Chris Caffery of Savatage and Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Ryan Roxie from the Alice Cooper band and rock and roll comic C.C. Banana, who performs a parody of the KISS song "Unholy" (rewritten as a roast of Danger Danger vocalist Ted Poley).
The band was a prominent target in the mid-1980s of the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC) led by Tipper Gore, who at the time was wife of then-Senator Al Gore (D-TN), an organization that pushed for warning labels on recorded music. The band immortalized its fight with the PMRC on the song "Harder, Faster" from their 1987 live album, Live...In the Raw. "I Wanna Be Somebody" is the most notorious single from W.A.S.P.'s debut album. and It was ranked at No. 84 in VH1's 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs of All Time. In October 2007, W.A.S.P. embarked on The Crimson Idol Tour, to celebrate that album's 15th anniversary. It is the first time that the album, often regarded to be among the band's finest work, was performed in full from start to finish. The tour kicked off in Greece, in Thessaloniki at the Principal Club Theater on October 26, 2007. Blackie Lawless remains the only member from the original line-up. They released their most recent album in November 2009, entitled Babylon. On September 21, 2012, the band celebrated the 30th anniversary of their first ever live show by kicking off a world tour at The Forum in London. The set for the tour was split into three sections: songs from the first four albums, a cut-down rendition of the Crimson Idol performance and a final segment for newer material.
W.A.S.P. is an American heavy metal band formed in 1982. They emerged from the same Los Angeles scene that spawned Mötley Crüe, Ratt, Quiet Riot and others. The band's popularity peaked in the 1980s, yet they continue to record and tour, making them one of the most enduring of the West Coast heavy metal bands. W.A.S.P. gained notoriety for their shock rock themed image, lyrics and live performances. They have sold over 12 million copies of their albums.
Neil signed a solo deal with Warner Brothers for $4 million. He received a $2 million advance on his first record. Neil sued Mötley Crüe for 25% of their future profits and $5 million in damages for being fired. In 1992, Neil released his first single. He stated that the song was written in twenty minutes with his friends Jack Blades and Tommy Shaw. The single "You're Invited (But Your Friend Can't Come)" was featured on the Encino Man soundtrack. Neil made a video for the song that featured a cameo by Pauly Shore. The video does not feature guitarist Steve Stevens as Stevens was hired after the song and video had been released. Stevens re-recorded the song for Neil's first solo album. Neil performed the song live on the MTV Movie Awards. Exposed, was Neil's first solo album and was released in 1993. The album debuted at #13 on the Billboard charts. The album featured Stevens, who subsequently played all bass and guitar tracks on "Exposed", Dave Marshall, Robbie Crane, and Vik Foxx. The band eventually went on tour, opening for Van Halen.
In February 1992, Mötley Crüe parted ways with Vince Neil. Neil had taken up Indy racing a few years earlier, often turning up at celebrity races. Neil enjoyed the sport so much that he eventually formed Vince Neil Racing. He was racing in the Indy Lights open wheel developmental series at the time. Neil retired from racing in 1992 after crashing his car during a race in Long Beach after the third lap.
Neil was born in Hollywood, California to Odie and Shirley Wharton. He has Mexican ancestry on his mother's side and Native American ancestry on his father's. During the 1960s, his family moved around Southern California from Inglewood to Watts, before finally settling in Glendora, attending Sunflower Intermediate School and later Royal Oak High School. As well as having an interest in music while a teenager, Neil was also interested in surfing, basketball, baseball, football and wrestling.
Tuff is an American glam metal band formed in 1985 in Phoenix, Arizona, by guitarist Jorge DeSaint and bassist Todd Chase. The band was completed with the arrival of drummer Michael Lean and vocalist Terry Fox, who left the band shortly afterwards to pursue an ice skating career. With replacement vocalist Jim Gillette, the band recorded a four-track EP entitled Knock Yourself Out. However, Gillette soon departed to form Nitro and was replaced by Stevie Rachelle.
A sleaze metal band that at times beat bands such as Motley Crue at their own game, however disinterest caused this trashy rock band to disband with little fanfare. Guitarist Takashi "Jam" O'Hashi had reached stardom in his home country of Japan while wearing traditional Kabuki makeup in the band Seiki Matsu. But he had his eye on American acclaim, and together with his bassist friend Yasuhiro "Butch" Hatae they headed to Los Angeles. It was there that they spotted a band called Merri Hoax, and more importantly their singer, Joel Ellis. The persistence of O'Hashi and Hatae won Ellis over, and with the addition of his drumming band mate Randy Meers, Cats In Boots was born. They recorded a demo and then went off to Japan where O'Hashi's name and rock magazines helped push the album to #1 on the independent charts on it's way to selling over 10,000 copies. The first major label release, Kicked & Klawed featured some re-recorded versions of songs of the East Meets West demo and shot to #3 on the Japanese charts, unfortunately success was limited elsewhere. Their fate was sealed when they were dropped from their record label and Ellis left to form Heavy Bones (a band that included Quiet Riot and W.A.S.P. drummer Frankie Banali). An album of unreleased songs would resurface several years after the band disintegrated. Several members reunited in 2003 for a mini-tour in Japan, so future material is not out of the question.
Despite being considered a New York City band, STAR STAR originally formed in Los Angeles. The bands original Los Angeles line up would break away prior to the debut album. Mid way through recording the "Go Go Girls In Love" album STAR STAR returned to NYC and inducted guitarist Kane Dailey (later replaced by Jay Hening). Although Darcy Drash performed drums on the record Deon Molyneux would take over once the sessions were complete. Signing to the Roadrunner label STAR STAR took a nine month period to record the second album ("The Love Drag Years") with producers Neil Kernon, Earle Mankey and Richard Gottehrer across studios in New York, Los Angeles and New England. A dark period followed when singer Johnnie Holliday suffered a serious car accident in Greece, undergoing a number of major surgeries the following years. Further major blows were struck when guitarist Jay Henning committed suicide and drummer Deon died from cancer two years later. Original STAR STAR members Johnnie & Weeds are now joined by drummer Chris and singer "Trashette" Fiona Tzavara. A live album was due to be released but is indefinitely delayed due to some legal issues. 2012 marked Star Star's return to the studio to record a new CD containing 18 songs.

Silent Rage formed in 1985 with founding members EJ Curse, Jesse Damon and Mark Hawkins. The band is known for their signature songwriting style of blending melody with hard-driving rock. Silent Rage remains unique from other 80’s bands by having Jesse Damon share the lead vocal duties with Hawkins and Curse. In 1987 they teamed up with Producer/Artist PAUL SABU for their first critically acclaimed CD, “SHATTERED HEARTS”. Silent Rage, appeared on three different albums simultaneously that year. The Motion Picture Soundtrack for “Million Dollar Mystery” and the KNAC Compilation CD “Ten Best From The West”. "Shattered Hearts" went on to be #1 on the European Import Charts. In 1988 GENE SIMMONS signed them to Simmons Records/RCA and drummer Brian James Fox (White Tiger) joined the Band. For SR's 2nd release, Paul Sabu and Gene Simmons were chosen to lend their production skills. In 1989 they released “DON’T TOUCH ME THERE” to rave reviews. That too, reached #1 on European Import Charts. The song “REBEL WITH A CAUSE” was released as a single and video, and debuted on MTV's “Head Banger's Ball“. Next, the Band toured with BLACK SABBATH for the "Headless Cross" tour. In the early 90’s, Silent Rage continued touring and writing. They also wrote & performed with other projects, EJ with Doro Pesch and Jesse with Kiss. Unfortunately, the Grunge scene eventually forced them into hiatus. In 2000 Silent Rage re-united to sign a new record deal and added Rodney Pino on drums. They reissued their first two CD's in 2001 and released their third new CD, "Still Alive" in 2002. "Still Alive" was produced by BOB EZRIN (Kiss, Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper) and Co-Produced by KEVIN BEAMISH (R.E.O. Speedwagon, Y&T) and Silent Rage. They made their 1st UK appearance at the Z Rock festival. In 2007 Silent Rage signed a new record deal with Frontiers Records for their 4th CD, "FOUR LETTER WORD". It was released in 2008 and produced By Gilby Clarke . The material continued to mesh melody with metal and big memorable choruses. It also features some very special guests performances by Bruce Kulick (KISS), Bobby Blotzer (Ratt), Gilby Clarke (Guns N Roses), Dilana (Rockstar Supernova) and even their former drummer Brian James Fox. In 2009 Retrospect Records re-issued a newly re-mastered version of the “Shattered Hearts” CD. Rage recorded a brand new bonus track “Sole Survivor” and once again was lucky enough to have Paul Sabu produce. Silent Rage also performed at one of the US’s largest 80’s music festivals “ROCKLAHOMA 2009” and briefly toured Europe. 2011: Silent Rage has endured for more than a quarter of a century of hard rock Heaven and Hell. Although, the band members may have ventured out with Jesse Damon’s three solo CD releases and EJ Curse’s bass duties with Doro Pesch, White Lion & Gilby Clarke, Silent Rage remains the major part of their musical lives. They are Rebels With A Cause. They are Still Alive. They will touch you, shatter your heart and rock you hard for another 25 years!
In 1987 Chameleon Music Group released a full album size Picture Disc Single of "Rebel with a Cause" from Silent Rage. The other song on the disc was "Some Kind of Woman". These picture discs were released in two colors Blue and white!
SILENT RAGE went on hiatus for some time, although never stopping the music. E.J. and MARK played as well as continue to play in a 3 piece cover band called BAND-X. JESSE DAMON pursued his solo work as well as continuing to write with KISS including tracks on their "Psycho Circus" album. JESSE has recorded 3 solo albums, "The Hand That Rocks", "Nothin' Else Matters" & "Rebel Within". EJ Curse played bass for Doro Pesch's 1st solo effort after leaving "Warlock" & sometimes performs live with Gilby Clarke (Guns & roses, Supernova)... With the bands motto ...“It’s always been about being on stage and at arms distance with our fans”. They are obvious fans of good ol' rock and roll. As SR continues to perform at venues of late such as CLUB VODKA in Hollywood (www.ClubVodka.com), The GALAXY THEATRE with Dokken, The KEYCLUB with JACKYL and again with L.A. GUNS, and all around the rest of the world including the Z-ROCK Festivals in England and Germany.
Shotgun Messiah were a glam metal band originally from Sweden; they crossed over to industrial rock music during the early 1990s. In 2012, Zinny J. Zan and Stixx reunited to celebrate Shotgun Messiah's legacy as Shotgun. Sweden Rock Magazine has named Shotgun Messiah #38 on their "The Best Rock Bands Of Sweden Ever" list. The band originally went under the name "Kingpin" while in Sweden, recording the album Welcome To Bop City; the line-up featured Zinny J. Zan (vocals), Tim Skold (going by "Tim Tim") (bass), Harry K. Cody (guitar) and Pekka "Stixx" Ollinen (drums). This would become the original line-up of Shotgun Messiah as the band changed their name and relocated to Hollywood, California. The album they released under the "Kingpin" name was re-recorded and released as Shotgun Messiah's self-titled debut album, Shotgun Messiah. The style of this album was glam metal typical of early 1980s American bands such as Mötley Crüe and Ratt.
Pride of Lions is a melodic rock group fronted by former Survivor guitarist/keyboardist Jim Peterik and vocalist Toby Hitchcock. Formed in 2003, the group, according to Peterik is "my vision of the best elements of the great melodic rock era of the 80’s, updated with more modern production sounds."
The full breadth of the human experience is Rock's palette, of course -- in his music and also beyond. He's become active in humanitarian and philanthropic concerts, working with organizations such as Operation Finally Home, which builds houses for disabled returning veterans, establishing the Kid Rock Foundation to help fund various projects and initiatives around the country, and raising $1 million for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. There was also his pre-election "Americans" video with actor Sean Penn, which delivered the message "Don't let politics divide us. Thinking differently. It's what made this country great."
"I'm fortunate; I have the means and the resources to go beyond the music and all the rock 'n' roll hype and everything and do some good work," Rock notes. "I want to do stuff that does fit me, and I want to do stuff that absolutely doesn't fit -- just do stuff that's different, with the music and with everything that comes along with it."
Rock also gets deep into some characters on REBEL SOUL, starting with "Mr. Rock n Roll," a dynamic production piece that doubles as a history lesson, or what Rock calls "a journey through music." "It's just saying how soulless records are now, so how about this -- right in your face," Rock explains. "This guy's dad was a roadie for REO Speedwagon in the 70s and his mom was a high-priced call girl in Hollywood, and he was a product of that. That's why he's got eyeliner on and a big sequined suit. It's a Captain Fantastic, Ziggy Stardust kind of thing." Then there's "Cucci Galore," a return to rap-rock roots with hot tubs, leopard-skinned Lamborghinis, edible bikinis, a slinky guitar line, Public Enemy's Flavor Flav on board for quality control -- and yet another Rock persona, Bobby Shazam.
Robert James Ritchie (born January 17, 1971), known by his stage name Kid Rock, is an American musician and actor. He is most popularly known for his first commercial success, the 1998 studio album Devil Without a Cause, which sold 13 million albums worldwide. He is a five time Grammy Award nominee and has sold 23.5 million albums in the U.S. and 27.5 million worldwide. He was Soundscan's number one selling male solo musician of the 2000s, selling 17.6 million albums; he was 17th overall for the decade. Born in Romeo, Michigan, Rock was a rapper and hip hop performer with 5 releases between 1990 and 1997, including a reissue and an EP. After signing a recording contract with Atlantic Records in 1998, he gained commercial success in the rap-rock genre behind the singles Bawitdaba, Cowboy and Only God Knows Why (the latter foreshadowing his move into country rock). After Devil's success in 2000, he released The History of Rock, a compilation of remixed and remastered versions of songs from previous albums as well as the hit rock single, "American Bad Ass". Rock's follow-up records became more rock-, country-, and blues-oriented, starting with 2001's Cocky. His collaboration with Sheryl Crow on the song "Picture" was his first country hit and biggest pop hit in the US to date charting at No. 4 on the Hot 100.[1] After 2003's Kid Rock and 2006's Live Trucker sales declined from the previous releases, he then released Rock n Roll Jesus in 2007. This will end his contract with Atlantic and he will likely restart his Top Dog Label. Kid Rock released his entire Atlantic Records catalog to iTunes in January 2013, with the exception "Racing Father Time EP". Three of the albums recharted on the Billboard 200. "Devil Without A Cause (No 61), "Rock N Roll Jesus" (No 142) and "Cocky" (No 160). His old hits also re-entered the charts on the Rock Digital Songs Chart. They included " All Summer Long" (No 16), "Cowboy" (No 19), "Bawitdaba" (No 21), "Picture" (No 22), "Only God Knows Why" (No 25) and "American Bad Ass" (No 47). "All Summer Long charted at No 18 and " Picture" charted at No 26 on the Hot Digital Country sales chart as well. "Cocky" has remained on the Billboard 200 album charts since Kid Rock's album became available digitally.
L.A. Guns entered the studio for their seventh album in early 2002 with veteran producer Andy Johns, who had worked with the likes of Led Zeppelin and Van Halen , to record "Waking the Dead". The album was released in late 2002 and garnered L.A. Guns some of the best reviews the band had ever received. It was also when Tracii Guns decided to quit the band to do "Brides Of Destruction" with Nikki Sixx. That same year, L.A. Guns acquired Stacey Blades to handle the guitar slot. Blades had been around the L.A. music scene for many years recording and playing lead guitar in both Roxx Gang, Supercool & S.M.A.C.K. He fit the bill perfectly, coming from the same school of rock that L.A. Guns are from. When the US tour to support "Waking the Dead" ended, Tracii announced that he was "officially" leaving L.A. Guns. The band continued to tour despite his untimely departure. After a 2003 world tour to support "Waking the Dead", L.A. Guns went into the studio in January of 2004 to record "Rips the Covers Off" with producer Andy Johns. This was a collection of 70's rock songs. Once again, the band went on a full world tour to support the new CD. In May of 2005, L.A. Guns began work on "Tales from the Strip" with Andy Johns again producing. The "Tales" CD was released August 2005. Reviews were great with many saying it was some of the best music out today. L.A. Guns hooked up with WASP for an early summer through September tour. In early 2006, L.A. Guns did some local L.A. shows and recorded them for a new live CD. This new live CD, "Loud and Dangerous", was released late August 2006 with the band again supporting it with a world tour. In Early 2007 long time Bassist Adam Hamilton decided to do song writing and producing full time. The guys acquired Hollywood Veteran Scotty Griffin, but in Mid 2009 Griffin left the band to do a residency in Las Vegas. Kenny Kweens from Beautiful Creatures quickly came aboard as the new bass guitarist. 2011 sparked the triumphant return of Scotty Griffin on Bass. In November 2011 the band signed their latest record deal with Cleopatra Records, releasing their tenth studio album "Hollywood Forever" in June 2012. The album was produced once again by veteran music producer, Andy Johns. The new record debuted at #25 on the Billboard Rock charts with the title track "Hollywood Forever", and it was considered one of the best Hard Rock albums of 2012 by fans and critics alike, proving once again that L.A. Guns were on top of their game with additional tracks "You Better Not Love Me" and "Sweet Mystery". In December 2012, guitarist Stacey Blades announced his departure after serving the band for almost ten years, to follow a different musical direction. In January 2013, the talented guitarist Michael Grant - frontman of his own band, EndeverafteR - crossed paths with singer Phil Lewis. His dynamic performance complimented Guns’ raw rock n’ roll energy, and he hit the ground running as the new lead guitarist. With more than 25 years' worth of noteworthy material, the band have proved to be true warriors of the 80's genre and are geared to tear it up across the world giving audiences the high octane Rock-n-Roll that is L.A. Guns.
L.A. Guns got their start on Los Angeles' Sunset Strip. The band was formed in 1986 and signed with Polygram Records in 1987, recording their first album that summer. This first album, titled "L.A. Guns", went on to sell 750,000 copies and earned the band its first gold album award. Tours with AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Def Leppard followed. A compilation of the videos made from this first album also earned the band a gold video award. L.A. Guns went into the studio to record their second album, "Cocked and Loaded", in the spring of 1989. It was a hit right away with the release of "Rip and Tear" as the first single and video. "Never Enough" and "The Ballad of Jayne" followed, pushing album sales over 1,000,000 and earning the band its first platinum record award. The video compilation from this album earned the band its second gold video award. A successful world tour followed. The band's third album, "Hollywood Vampires", was recorded in the fall of 1990. With the release of "Kiss My Love Goodbye" as the first single and video, and another successful world tour, the album went on to sell 700,000 copies and earned the band its third gold album award. The band went back into the studio in 1994 to start work on their next album "Vicious Circle". It was released in early 1995 and was followed by another successful world tour. Between 1996 and 1999, the band's members branched out recording and working on outside projects. In late 1999, L.A. Guns went into the studio to record a greatest hits package titled "Black Beauties" that also included five new songs written for the album. The band toured with Poison, Ratt, and others throughout the summer of 2000. In 2001, the band released its sixth studio album, "Man in the Moon". The band also changed Bass Guitarists with Adam Hamilton joining the band. A successful world tour followed. The reviews of the album were great and the band was determined to follow this up with an even stronger set of songs for the next release.
Crashdïet (often stylized as CRASHDÏET) are a Swedish glam metal band from Stockholm. They have released four albums: 2005's Rest in Sleaze, 2007's The Unattractive Revolution, 2010s Generation Wild and 2013's The Savage Playground
A leading force in the Swedish "sleaze rock" scene of the 2000s — a revival of the glam metal (or hair metal) of the 1980s, but with a more pronounced punk element, often rawer in sound and raunchier in style — CRASHDÏET formed in 2000, taking inspiration from Skid Row, Guns N' Roses, Kiss, W.A.S.P., and G.G. Allin, and vowing to bring back the big shows and big songs of "unpredictable and dangerous" rock & roll.
The band was originally formed in 2000. Taking influence from Kiss, Mötley Crüe, Skid Row, Guns N' Roses, and Hanoi Rocks, Crashdïet built up a cult following with the release of their first demos, several of which were released on their official website via download. In 2002, the band split up, and vocalist Dave Lepard reformed the band with members from the current lineup,[1] while the old members went to play in Repugnant and SubVision. In 2003 Crashdiet released their first self titled EP, though only 500 copies were pressed. In 2004 they got signed to Universal Records after people in the staff saw the band drinking outside a liquor store and was impressed by their Rock n' Roll image. In 2005, the band released their debut album, Rest in Sleaze, and embarked on a Swedish tour in the fall of 2005 to support the album. The album did well overall (debuted at No. 12 on the Swedish album chart) although they were not especially famous outside of Sweden. The band also played at Download Festival in the United Kingdom in 2005, to support the album.[3] The album debuted at No. 12 on the Swedish album chart and Four singles were produced from that album, including "Riot in Everyone", "Breakin' the Chainz", "Knokk 'Em Down" and "It's a Miracle". On January 20, 2006, vocalist Dave Lepard committed suicide at the age of 25, after a bout of depression during which he hid from family and friends. After the death of Lepard, the band decided to end the band and said in an official statement that: ''Crashdïet will definitely not continue as a band. The band consisted of four people and now one of them has left us.'' Several months later they decided to start the band up again after getting support from the Lepard family and fans all over the world, they announced the following statement via their website: ''We feel that we want to carry on the Crashdïet legacy, which will keep Dave's spirit alive for a long long time.. It would be a shame NOT to spread the message across the whole world and let them know what real music should sound like!''
Pretty Boy Floyd is a glam metal band from Hollywood, California formed in 1987. They are most famous for their 1989 debut album Leather Boyz With Electric Toyz and the two singles from it; "Rock and Roll (Is Gonna Set the Night on Fire)" and "I Wanna Be With You". The band broke up in 1991, but reformed in 1995 releasing several new records since that time, and continue to the present. After rehearsing and playing a few shows on the sunset strip, Pretty Boy Floyd got their big break at MCA Records. Their debut album named Leather Boyz with Electric Toyz was released in 1989 and produced by producer Howard Benson. Two singles, and accompanying promotional videos were released from the album; "Rock and Roll (Is Gonna Set the Night on Fire)" and "I Wanna Be With You", which gained rotation on MTV. They were also having success in Europe at the time, by being the cover subject of hard rock magazine Kerrang! on December 16, 1989. Pretty Boy Floyd became embroiled in a dispute over the copyright of their band name, with a Canadian band also called Pretty Boy Floyd. The Canadian group released their debut Bullets and Lipstik the same year, but after a negotiated settlement agreed to surrender use of the name. Their music featured on two movie soundtracks, first the demo version of "48 Hours" was included on the 1989 The Karate Kid, Part III film. Two years later the previously unreleased "Slam Dunk" was released on the Ellen Barkin movie Switch soundtrack. However, by that time MCA Records had dropped the band.
Britny Fox formed in 1986 in Philadelphia. The band was originally fronted by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist "Dizzy" Dean Davidson. The band also featured Billy Childs on bass, former Cinderella guitarist Michael Kelly Smith on lead guitar and former Cinderella drummer Tony Destra on drums. The idea for the band's name was inspired by Davidson, who named the band in honor of a Welsh ancestor. They were described on one of their best hits albums as "trashy Victorian glam", and sported an attitude only rivaled by AC/DC. Thanks to their connections to Cinderella, the band was able to secure a major recording contract. However, just as things were beginning to look bright for the band, they soon dimmed. Tony Destra was killed in a car accident. Facing a tour, the band recruited drummer, John DiTeodoro (Johnny Dee), who had been the drummer for the band Waysted. The band released a demo in 1986 titled In America, which drummer Tony Destra played on, and a demo in 1987 titled Rock Is Gonna Fight, which drummer Adam West played on. The band's self-titled debut album, released in 1988, was one of the most successful premieres of the 1988–89 season, selling more than one million copies and bringing more than 625,000 fans to their 130+ shows. They also won Metal Edge Magazine's 1988 Reader's Choice Award for Best New Band. After the release of the band's second album in 1989, Boys in Heat, Davidson departed, and formed the band Blackeyed Susan. He was replaced by Las Vegas native Tommy Paris aka Don Jillson formerly of the band Jillson. Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde and Poison drummer Rikki Rockett guested on the band's third album, Bite Down Hard, which was released in 1991. However, the popularity of glam metal was on a decline around the time of the album's release due to the rising popularity of the alternative rock/grunge movement.[citation needed] Britny Fox disbanded in 1992 for various reasons. Michael Kelly Smith was previously in an early version of fellow Philadelphia band Cinderella until his dismissal, and later Tony Destra also played with them. Drummer Adam West, formerly of Tangier, played for Britny Fox briefly between the time of Tony Destra and Johnny Dee. Britny Fox reunited in 2000 with the same line-up before their disbandment, and released a fourth studio album, Springhead Motorshark, in 2003. The band toured the US and Europe in 2007 and 2008. Guitarist Tommy Krash and former White Lion drummer Greg D'Angelo was supposed to join at that time, but he broke his foot during rehearsal and was replaced with Henry Now. As of 2007, Britny Fox reformed under original bassist Billy Childs. The other current and former members are lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Jamie Fletcher, lead guitarist Greg Polcari, and drummer Henry Now. Bassist Billy Childs had a minor but billed role in the horror film Incest Death Squad (2009). Childs is currently playing bass in the North American Led Zeppelin tribute band Get The Led Out, "The American Led Zeppelin". In 2010, "Dizzy" Dean Davidson unsuccessfully attempted to reunite the surviving members of the original line-up.
L.A. Guns is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1983. As of 2013, the lineup consists of Phil Lewis (vocals), Michael Grant (guitar), Scott Griffin (bass) and Steve Riley (drums, percussion). The first incarnation of the group was formed, by Tracii Guns, in 1983 but disbanded in 1985 following its merger with fellow Los Angeles group Hollywood Rose, becoming the first lineup of Guns N' Roses. The same year, the group was reformed by Guns and singer Paul Black adding Mick Cripps and Nickey Alexander. Black would soon be replaced by former Girl singer Phil Lewis while former Faster Pussycat bassist Kelly Nickels was added to the group. Later, Alexander would be replaced by former W.A.S.P. drummer Steve Riley with this being known as the "classic lineup" of L.A. Guns. They achieved moderate chart success in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
