Never underestimate the power of a moment. The impact of the choices we make today can have a ripple effect that could last for generations. Whether God is calling you to your Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, or to the ends of the earth; our obedience is more important than our comfort.
Who cares? He does! And how!!! Jesus cares for you in a very specific way. It is both passionate and purposeful, personal and powerful. He cares every day, eternally. Never ending. Always available.
We are ALL about God and People! Yes, ALL! Not just the parts we like or find comfortable, but about YOU! He created you with a spirit, soul, and a body, and accepts all those different parts of you. He is a God that cares!
In this message, we will look at the story of Elijah because he loved ALL of God and God loved ALL of Elijah.
Jesus made provision to ensure you’re never alone. He needed to go, so He could truly stay, leaving His Spirit to fill and form us. Holy Spirit wants to accomplish many things, but there’s one thing He is truly after. It has everything to do with Jehovah Tsidkenu.

Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus. This birth set in motion both awesome miracles and awful suffering. Although Jesus was God Himself, He experienced life on earth in all its human facets. The name Immanuel, God with us, has real meaning when we see Jesus in both the awesome and the awful.
Life is not always fair. Interestingly, when life is unfair in our favour, we tend to not make a big deal out of it. When life isn't unfair in our favour, that's when we get aggravated.
Jesus' culture has an interesting approach to fairness. The Parable of the Generous Landowner unpacks it all.
I would have probably titled this parable "The Parable of the Lame Excuses", rather than "The Great Banquet". Both titles apply. The latter reveals God's end game. He always wins.

When the Israelites were traveling though the dessert, God provided Bread from Heaven; manna. Every day, they had to collect this manna so they would be fed and nourished. God wanted them to not put their trust in the manna itself but in the fact that God provided.
Jesus compared Himself to this manna, He is the Bread of Life. He is the only food that really satisfies and sustains. We can feed on Him in our hearts, everyday!

One word written across all of Scripture is SALVATION. God’s plan is one of restoration. But what is our part in this plan? Salvation is a free gift because of Christ’s sacrifice.
