We are seeing despair more and more in men today. Seeing that men fall into despair when they become confused about who they are and what they are supposed to do in this life.
Despair - the complete loss or absence of hope. Lose or be without hope.
We know as men we have all been there! There have been many times in our life where we became confused and doubted everything.
So how do we get stuck? How do we get here? And how do we get out?

I am sorry guys but we are creating our own confusion by listening to all the voices out there that bombard our lives every day.
Instead of listening to all the voices out there telling us how to live our lives as men, we need to be the voices that are contributing to the lives of men.
God is the opposite of confusion which is - The opposite of confusion is certainty and order which brings peace. How do we combat confusion:

When confused understand it's not from God.

Accept where you are right now.

Take a deep breath. (I don't know what to do and that's ok)

Focus on what you know.

Be patient.

Many of the men that we have been talking to lately seem to be struggling with a lot of the same things. Confusion and lack of confidence, especially when it comes to decision making and hearing from God.
It is more difficult when those around you question a lot of the beliefs or decisions men are making.
With all the information in our world bombarding us every day, peoples opinions seem to matter more than truth, and the attack on men and masculinity is the highest it has ever been.

Richard attended a Basic event in January 2023, then came back for Becoming a King in April. He explains how he had the head knowledge of who God was, but needed it to get to his heart. In his searching during the retreats he found ways he can cultivate that heart knowledge. “I was wood in a fire pit that had been burned a long time ago. There was plenty of fuel still there, but no heat. Basic ignited that fire again.” Listen in as he explains how that fire is burning inside of him now.
