Hearts of Fire International was birthed from two Divine questions: “Who heals My healers?” and “Who strengthens My generals? We have aspired to respond gracefully, not just with words, but by following Jesus’ example in scripture: what we see Him do, we join Him in doing (Jn. 5:19); what we hear Him say, we amplify by speaking (Mat. 10:27). More than a podcast, “Sparks from God’s Heart” is a living chronicle to ignite the hearts of all ministers with fresh fire by sharing the things we have seen and heard (Acts 4:20). Our words and teachings flow from an Apostolic/Prophetic Five-Fold Ministry anointing with one purpose: to equip you, His saints, to grow and operate fully in your ministry and callings (Eph. 4:11-12). If there was ever a time when we as Americans felt the compelling need for our nation, founded two and a half centuries ago solidly on faith in Christ, to repent and rededicate itself to the Lord, it is surely now! But the Scriptures are clear that God’s judgement which leads to repentance does not begin with the world, but with us, His people (1 Pet. 4:17; 2 Chron. 7:14). It’s time for the Church to repent! We must lead our nations by example!
Therefore, it was no coincidence that the Lord sent Melanie Sherrer all the way from Florida to Southern California to bring us a powerful life-changing message at the same time as an historic national prayer gathering called, “Rededicate 250: A National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving” was taking place with thousands gathered on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Thousands more participated via television and live stream. It was a unified call to pray, worship, repent, and rededicate the nation (and the Church) back to God.

This is the second in a new series of messages entitled “BOOTCAMP for GENERALS!” “Generals” is a term for believers who are maturing in their callings and growing in their giftings as spiritual leaders in the Body of Christ and in the secular world.
In Part 2 of this teaching on DELIVERANCE, we focus on the source of the real power needed to set free and deliver the captives by breaking demonic strongholds and defeating all the power of the devil himself. The ultimate source of this miraculous spiritual power is IDENTITY—knowing WHO you are in Christ. Remember, when Jesus came out of the water of John’s baptism to begin His ministry, immediately His Father established His IDENTITY as the Son of God. Jesus spent the next forty days in the wilderness being tested by the devil to see if he could somehow dilute this power and steal His IDENTITY. The devil failed and Jesus won by knowing beyond all doubt WHO HE IS IN GOD! YOU will always win by knowing WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST!

This is the first of a new series of messages called “BOOTCAMP for GENERALS!” We are thankful The Lord called us to heal and minister to new and young believers, but then the day came when He asked us, “Who heals the healers and who ministers to my leaders and generals?” He is now reminding us that the time is short, and it’s time to impart everything we have to heal and build strong spiritual foundation in everyone we touch so they (YOU) can go forth and impart to others.
When we examine how Jesus began His ministry of healing and building foundation in those He touched, we notice He continually met spiritual opposition from the devil. So, we strongly believe the place for us to join with Him in receiving ministry that we can impart to others is to become not only experienced, but extremely comfortable in waging spiritual warfare against the devil and his demonic forces of evil. This kind of warfare is called “DELIVERANCE,” and begins by knowing WHO you are in Christ, as well as knowing the AUTHORITY He has given you over the devil.
You may have received deliverance or ministered healing and deliverance to others previously, but The Lord has given us all unique wisdom and experience. Therefore, we encourage you to be open to receive all The Lord has given us to impart to YOU today.

In the beginning, the enemy didn’t waste any time entering the Garden of Eden to tempt God’s first children into believing they could “be like God,” their Father, through disobedience and their own human effort. This desire to “be like God” has been in every child of Adam since, manifesting itself outwardly in a human phenomenon we call “perfectionism.” Millions of people, including Christians, are affected by these frustrating and exhausting symptoms of “perfectionism,” but have little or no idea how to be set free.
In this study, we explore not only the human PROBLEM of perfectionism, but the spiritual SOLUTION, based on the Bible and our own personal experience, as well. Be encouraged—like every other problem we encounter in life, Jesus is the answer to them all!

After many years of counseling and ministering to Christians, I believe we have discovered Satan's top “device” of taking what the Apostle Paul called, “advantage over us” (2 Cor. 2:11). Satan is still using that same “device” on us that he used some 6000 years ago to gain advantage over the first couple in the Garden of Eden. While he may try to disguise it outwardly to confuse us, inwardly Satan's purpose has always been to create DOUBT in GOD’S UNCONDITIONAL LOVE for His children.
I can’t tell you the number of born-again, spirit-filled Christians we have met who are wrestling with a myriad of physical and spiritual problems, not because they doubt that God loves the world, but because of doubt that GOD LOVES THEM personally and unconditionally. When YOU carry feelings of unworthiness, due to past or present sins, mistakes, failures, circumstances, or disappointments, you are giving Satan easy advantage over YOU by disconnecting yourself from the greatest source of power for good in the universe—GOD’S UNCONDITIONAL LOVE for YOU!

Psalm 42 is one of the most heartfelt and personal psalms David ever wrote. It came out of a time when he faced not only overwhelming problems, but betrayal from the very people closest to him—his own family. There is something about this psalm that speaks deeply to everyone who has been in a dark season where you can’t seem to find your way out.
David experienced the OVERWHELMING, but he learned how to OVERCOME in the LORD, and so will you! Imagine this: just as David’s son, Absalom, was heading to battle to kill his father and take his kingdom from him, God intervened in an amazing way. Absalom’s life and prideful scheme was snatched from him as he was pulled from his mule, when his head and hair became tangled in the branches of a tree. Wait until you hear all the prophetic revelation the Lord is speaking through this story!
He has given us an encouraging prophetic message for every believer feeling OVERCOME by OVERWHELMING problems. This revelation has changed our life, and we believe it will forever change the way you OVERCOME the OVERWHELMING in your life, today and in the future!

Isaiah prophesied the coming Messiah would be called “Immanuel.” Seven centuries later, Matthew began the New Testament by quoting Isaiah and giving us with the meaning of “Immanuel” as “God WITH us!” Then Mark concluded his Gospel with this final statement: “And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working WITH them…”
The Lord has been speaking to us about the critical importance of understanding that Jesus the Messiah came to earth to be “God WITH US!” He has been speaking to us about what this really means. This revelation has changed the way we think about how God works with WITH us, and how we work WITH God. We believe it will change the way you think as well!

Rather than beginning the New Year with a BANG, 2025 began with FIRE! On January 7, when the Eaton and the Palisades Fires, erupted in Southern California, they quickly became the second and fifth most destructive wildfires in California history, destroying over 17,000 structures, and claiming at least 29 lives. During their hellish reign, every news media outlet was inundated around the clock with more Breaking News on WHAT was happening. But I remember there was virtually nothing being reported spiritually on WHY this was happening. I found the silence from pastors, preachers, and even prophets to be deafening! So, as a minister for over forty years, I decided to pray and ask the Lord for answers concerning these fires. For several months I have written down the things I believe I’ve heard Him say. At this point, the results are a THREE-PART TEACHING, beginning with an INTRODUCTION, followed by teaching on “WIND,” and then on “FIRE.” I can tell you the Lord has a lot of very unique and valuable insight for us on this timely subject. With the sheer number of recent breaking news stories of wildfires, floods, landslides, tornadoes, earthquakes, and other natural disasters, I’m convinced as Christians, we need better understanding of God’s role in these events, so we can bring real Truth to ourselves and others.
Recently, while watching the evening news, I (Steve) learned of a 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28, 2025, that brought widespread death and destruction. The newscast featured a shocking live video of the collapse of a 33-story building in Bangkok, Thailand. Within two minutes, that huge skyscraper became a pile of rubble before our eyes. As I watched in horror, the Lord spoke to me that the problem was not the structure, but the foundation upon which it was built.

The Bible speaks a lot about “REST” to a world filled with striving and busyness to earn approval from God and men. We begin our study with the assertion that Biblical “REST,” is much more than a good night’s sleep! Megan does research on how we can better support patients and their families through the challenging process of walking through terminal illness and the grief that follows. She was asked to speak at the GeekWire 2022 Summit, which brings together engineers, entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators to discuss the future of business and technology. Surprisingly, Megan spoke to them about how to fight against burnout; how to find hope and resilience in the face of challenging times and circumstances. They loved it. We live in a divided world. Everyone has an opinion, yet there seems to be little or no agreement on anything. And now that we have social media, the variety and sheer number of opposing thoughts we and our children encounter daily has increased exponentially. The Apostle Paul also lived in a divided world, yet he carried a message from God that was so powerful, he was able to shift the narrative of his day from “what we believe,” to “WHO we believe,” and His name is Jesus! The good news is that as Christians, we carry that same message. It’s called the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it still has the same power to bring peace into a mind, as well as a world filled with confusion.
