Hi! My name is Christina and I have been on a healing journey, discovering how to love life again after leaving a toxic marriage with a drug addict, who also had narcissistic tendencies. This podcast is about learning how to love your life again after heartbreak and trauma. We will talk about making the choice to stay or leave, rediscovering who you are, and reclaiming your worth. Also, it is about taking back control of your life. Ultimately, finding joy and peace in the midst of life’s struggles. As God intended, we will go on a journey from surviving to thriving. I started this podcast because I felt incredibly alone on my journey, I struggled for a long time with deciding on when the right time to leave was and once I did, I thought now what. I was just surviving, barely hanging on thinking there had to be more to life than this. So I went on a journey, healing my body, mind, and spirit. Now, I want to share that journey with you, to help you on your healing journey, help you feel not so alone, and help you find the right tools for you to love your life again.
Before you dive in — every week I send A Moment to Exhale, a short note with one real story and one small tool you can actually use, so healing doesn't feel like one more thing you have to figure out alone. Join at breathofrenewal.com/exhale.
What if the fact that you can't remember the last time something felt fun isn't a small thing — it's information?
In this episode, Christina shares a personal pattern she's been caught in: setting intentions around fun, falling back into old routines, and what she's finally learned about why that cycle isn't failure. Drawing from a real moment in an advanced facilitation call and a somatic experiencing session, she explores why fun doesn't just reappear after a hard season — and why your nervous system may actually be the thing standing in the way.
If you've done the work, healed, rebuilt, and something still feels flat, this episode is for you.
Christina closes with a gentle somatic practice to help your body remember what fun even feels like.

Loving an Addict: When Enabling Feels Like Devotion
In this deeply personal episode, I open up about what it actually means to love someone with an addiction — and the quiet, gradual way that love can cause you to disappear. I break down the difference between devotion and self-abandonment, explain enabling and codependency without shame or clinical labels, and share some raw moments from my own story I haven't told this directly before.
This one's for the woman who has given everything trying to love someone back to life — and is finally ready to turn some of that love back toward herself.
What You'll Hear
🌿 Why enabling almost never feels like enabling while you're in it
🌿 The real difference between devotion and self-abandonment
🌿 What codependency actually is — without the shame or the clinical language
🌿 One small, somatic way to start choosing yourself again

What happens when your faith is the very thing making it hardest to choose yourself?
In this deeply personal episode, Christina — breathwork facilitator, somatic coach, and host of Loving Your Life Again — walks through one of the most tender and complex tensions women of faith face: staying in a difficult marriage because of God, vows, and the fear of what leaving means about who you are.
Christina shares her own story — a cross-country move on blind faith, a near-fatal car accident, and the night she cried out to God and finally heard something back — alongside a powerful reframe of the scripture that kept so many women (including herself) stuck. She also names what no one talks about: that leaving doesn't make it stop hurting, that your body keeps score long after the situation changes, and that "just pray harder" without the real work is spiritual bypassing.

You walk into a room and you already know. Before anyone says a word. Before he even fully walks through the door. Your body has already adjusted — softer voice, different topic, a joke you don't find funny, just to test the temperature.
This episode is for the woman who has been doing this invisible, exhausting work for so long she doesn't even realize she's still doing it — even if she's already left.
In this episode, we talk about hypervigilance — what it actually is, why your body learned to do it, and why "just relax" was never going to work. We also go into what real peace actually feels like versus the external peace you've been manufacturing to keep everything calm on the outside.

Maybe you don't even have a word for what's happening yet — just a quiet question running underneath everything: is it me? Or maybe you already know the word "gaslighting," and you're still not sure what to actually do with it.
In this episode, Christina opens up about what gaslighting really feels like from the inside — not the textbook definition, but the slow, quiet erosion of trusting yourself. The minimizing. The blame-shifting. The moments your own memory gets talked right out of you. And what happens when faith or addiction gets tangled into the mix, too.

Have you ever made the decision to change your life…
only to find yourself slipping back into the same patterns?
You know what you want.
You’ve made the choice.
And yet something inside you keeps pulling you back to what’s familiar.
In this episode, Christina continues the Capacity and Choice series by exploring why real change often feels harder than we expect.
It’s not because you lack discipline.
It’s because your nervous system may not yet have the capacity to hold the life you’re trying to build.
Through a personal story about a powerful weekend of integration, Christina shares what it looks like to slow down, listen to the body, and allow real expansion to happen.
This conversation breaks down the difference between pushing for growth and building the nervous system capacity to sustain it.
In This Episode• What “capacity” actually means in nervous system work
• Why implementation often falls apart even when you know what you want
• How survival patterns like overworking can become subtle forms of numbing
• Why growth happens in layers, not all at once
• What titration means and why expansion must happen in small doses
• The role of rest and integration in real transformation
Key TakeawayGrowth doesn’t happen by forcing change.
Capacity grows when we pace ourselves, allow integration, and gently expand what our nervous system can safely hold.
Sometimes the most powerful step forward is creating space for your body to process.

Have you ever felt like you're working really hard… but nothing is actually moving forward?
Like you're busy, exhausted, doing all the things — yet somehow every day feels the same.
In this episode, Christina shares a moment from her own journey when everything suddenly felt like Groundhog Day. The effort was there, but the clarity and momentum felt stuck.
Instead of pushing harder, she began asking a different question:
What if nothing is wrong… and something deeper is actually shifting?
This episode explores what many people call ego death — or what Christina calls cocoon season — the space between who you used to be and who you're becoming.
Christina shares how identity shifts affect the nervous system, why overworking and perfectionism often resurface during growth, and how building capacity and choice helps you move forward.
If you've ever questioned your path, your purpose, or whether you're doing enough… this conversation is for you.
In This Episode• Why growth can feel like Groundhog Day
• What "ego death" actually means
• Why Christina calls it cocoon season
• How identity shifts affect the nervous system
• Why overworking often returns during expansion
• The role of capacity and choice in real change

Until next time — one day, one moment, one breath at a time back to loving your life. 🤍
This episode is more personal than most…
Because I realized something recently:
I’ve been teaching self-trust…
I’ve been guiding women back into their bodies…
I’ve been holding space for healing…
But I’ve never fully shared where my own self-trust journey truly began.
And it didn’t start when I found breathwork.
It started ten years ago.
In 2016, I felt an undeniable call to move back to Virginia — even though I had no job, no home, and no real plan. I trusted the pull anyway.
About a month later, I was in a head-on collision.
Coma.
Multiple surgeries.
Wheelchair for four months.
Loss of independence overnight.
And in the middle of that breaking…
I was faced with a choice.
Stay in victimhood…
Or decide what my “new normal” would be.
That moment — lying in a hospital bed, stripped of everything familiar — was the true beginning of my self-trust journey.
In this episode, I share:
• The intuitive call that led me to move
• The accident and recovery that changed everything
• The identity unraveling that followed
• How survival patterns shaped my life and relationships
• Why mindset work alone wasn’t enough for healing
• How breathwork became the bridge back to my body
• The difference between top-down and bottom-up healing
This conversation is about more than my story.
It’s about the moments in life that break us open…
And the power we reclaim when we choose to rebuild instead of remain stuck.
If you’ve ever felt disconnected from yourself…
If you’ve been surviving instead of living…
If you’re craving a way to release what your body has been holding…
You’re not alone.
And there is a path back to yourself — breath by breath.

Until next time — one day, one moment, one breath at a time back to loving your life. 🤍
In this week’s episode, we’re continuing the conversation around self-trust and boundaries — but from the financial lens.
Because financial leadership isn’t just about spreadsheets…
It’s about identity.
It’s about who you believe yourself to be when you look at your money.
Inside this episode, I’m sharing in real time — messy, honest, and unfiltered — what it’s looked like to step into a new identity while building deeper financial self-trust.
We talk about the tension that happens when the old version of you is shedding… while the new version is still integrating.
And how that shows up in:
• Avoiding your numbers
• Over-investing from fear
• Undercharging for your work
• Overextending your time and energy
• Questioning your financial leadership
I also share personal reflections around:
— Investing from expansion vs. FOMO
— Listening to your body’s financial yes + no
— Generational money stories
— The link between nervous system safety and financial decisions
And from the practical CFO lens, we start grounding this work in the numbers — beginning with:
• Understanding your Profit & Loss
• The difference between net income vs. cash flow
• Why separating business + personal finances matters
• Using your numbers to build clarity instead of fear
Because financial self-trust is built piece by piece — not overnight.

Saying no isn’t just about boundaries
It’s about self-trust.
In this episode, Christina continues the monthly theme of Self-Trust & Boundaries by exploring what it really means to learn how to say no — emotionally, somatically, and relationally.
Because for many women, saying yes when they mean no isn’t a personality trait…
It’s a survival response.
Through personal stories and nervous system insight, Christina unpacks the patterns of people-pleasing, fawning, and over-giving — and how these learned behaviors disconnect us from your voice, energy, and truth.
This conversation is both compassionate and empowering — offering awareness without shame, and hope for what becomes possible when self-trust begins to rebuild.
In This Episode, We Explore
• What people-pleasing actually is (and why it forms)
• The “chameleon effect” — shape-shifting for acceptance
• How emotional sensitivity + empathy play a role
• Fawning as a nervous system survival response
• Why keeping the peace can disconnect you from yourself
• Where over-giving shows up in work, parenting, and business
• The difference between giving from overflow vs obligation
• Resentment as a somatic boundary signal
• First attempts at saying no (and why they feel shaky)
• Why “No is a complete sentence” can feel revolutionary
• The body’s signals when you abandon your truth
Key Takeaway
People-pleasing, fawning, and over-giving aren’t flaws.
They’re survival strategies.
And self-trust is rebuilt when you begin honoring your body’s no — even in small moments.

Financial self-trust doesn’t just impact your bank account — it impacts how you lead, decide, and feel building your business.
In this Supported Life (Money) episode, Christina continues the conversation from earlier this week — moving from personal self-trust into financial self-trust.
Because many women don’t just question relationships…
They question their financial decisions too.
This episode explores why distrust shows up around money — not only from personal experience, but from generational and systemic conditioning.
It wasn’t that long ago that women couldn’t open bank accounts or access credit independently — and those imprints still live in our nervous systems today.
Blending somatic awareness with practical leadership, Christina reframes financial data not as judgment, but as information — a story showing where your business has been, where it stands, and where it’s heading.
In This Episode, We Explore:
• Why women distrust financial decisions
• Survival patterns + money leadership
• Generational and historical conditioning
• Epigenetics + inherited fear responses
• The “fleas in a jar” conditioning metaphor
• Reading financial data as business story
• Emotional reaction vs informed leadership
• CFO-style interpretation of numbers
• The three-legged stool: You, Money, People
• First steps to rebuilding financial trust
Key Takeaway
Financial trust isn’t built through perfect decisions — but through learning to lead yourself with data, awareness, and self-compassion.

Self-trust doesn’t disappear overnight.
It erodes slowly — through survival patterns, people-pleasing, codependency, and years of putting everyone else’s needs before your own.
For many women, the realization comes when they find themselves questioning everything — their decisions, their intuition, their voice.
In this episode, Christina opens an honest, compassionate conversation about rebuilding trust in yourself after living in survival mode.
Because self-distrust isn’t a personal failure.
It’s an adaptive response.
Through personal reflection and somatic insight, she explores how self-trust is repaired — not through force or mindset alone — but through micro-moments of honoring your body, needs, and boundaries.
In this episode, we explore:
• How survival patterns erode self-trust
• Intuition vs. hypervigilance
• What self-distrust looks like in daily decisions
• People-pleasing and codependency patterns
• Boundaries as internal safety
• Nervous system healing and trust
• How self-trust shows up in the body
• Micro-moments that begin repair
A key reminder:
Self-trust isn’t rebuilt in giant leaps.
It’s rebuilt every time you:
• Listen to your body
• Follow through on your needs
• Hold a boundary
• Choose not to abandon yourself
Small moments create deep repair.

Until next time — one day, one moment, one breath at a time back to loving your life. 🤍
Coming fresh off a two-day live event, Christina records this episode in real-time integration — reflecting on the connection between nervous system safety, identity, structure… and money.
Inspired by the metaphor of water — flow, resistance, grip, and softening — this conversation bridges inner capacity work with the practical reality of business finances.
Because your numbers are not separate from your nervous system.
They’re part of the story you’re living and building.
In this episode, Christina continues the conversation from earlier this week — moving from safety and capacity into a grounded exploration of how to engage with your finances without shame, pressure, or overwhelm.
Rather than focusing on systems or bookkeeping steps, this episode centers on awareness, orientation, and direction.
You’ll explore how financial data functions the way a CFO presents it to stakeholders — not as judgment, but as a narrative explaining where a business has been, where it stands, and where it’s heading.
In this episode, we explore:
• Nervous system responses around money
• Why numbers are information, not identity
• How financials reflect business direction
• The link between your vision and your data
• How to read the story your numbers tell
• Why awareness allows real-time adjustment
You’ll also hear the visual of the three-legged stool — the core supports of a sustainable business:
• You — energy, leadership, capacity
• Money — cash flow, sustainability, profit
• People — clients, audience, impact
When one leg weakens, the structure wobbles.
This episode isn’t about perfection or mastery.
It’s about building the capacity to look — so you can consciously write the next chapter of your business story.

In January, we focused on safety — what it feels like in the body, how to recognize when you’re surviving instead of truly living, and why change isn’t simple even when you know something isn’t serving you anymore.
But once safety begins to return, a new question often arises:
Now what?
In this episode of Loving Your Life Again, Christina explores what comes after safety — capacity — and how learning to support yourself changes everything.
You’ll hear a real-life story about travel delays, shifting plans, and choosing safety over forcing, and how those moments mirror what happens inside our nervous systems when we stop pushing and start listening.
This episode is an invitation to rethink structure — not as pressure or control, but as something that can hold you, support you, and help you grow.

So many women think their money struggles are about discipline, willpower, or “not being good with numbers.”
Most of the time, they’re not.
They’re about safety.
In this episode of Loving Your Life Again, Christina continues the conversation about the nervous system and brings it into a very real, very practical place: your relationship with your money and your numbers.
You’ll explore why looking at your finances can trigger overwhelm, shutdown, or control — and why that doesn’t mean you’re bad at money. It means your nervous system learned that money wasn’t safe.
Christina breaks down the two most common survival responses around money:
Both are protective strategies. Neither means you’re broken.
You’ll also hear why:
This episode includes a gentle check-in to meet yourself where you are, without shame or pressure, and to help you identify the next kind, supportive step forward.
If you’ve ever felt:
This episode will help you understand why — and how to begin creating clarity in a way your nervous system can actually sustain.

So many women think they’re anxious, broken, or “too much.”
But often, they’re not.
They’re braced.
In this deeply grounding episode of Loving Your Life Again, Christina explores what nervous system bracing really is — what it looks like in real life, why so many of us don’t realize we’re doing it, and what it costs us over time.
Using the movie Alice, Darling as a mirror — and weaving in her own lived experience — Christina shows how bracing develops in emotionally unsafe relationships and environments, and how it slowly leads to isolation, shrinking, and losing yourself.
Bracing isn’t a mindset problem.
It’s a safety problem.
In this episode, you’ll learn:

This episode will help you understand why — and where real healing begins.
You don’t heal bracing by thinking differently.
You heal it by experiencing safety in your body.

If even thinking about looking at your numbers makes your chest tighten, you’re not bad at money — your nervous system doesn’t feel safe yet.
In this practical, compassionate episode of Loving Your Life Again, Christina walks you through how to get your numbers ready for tax season, why separating personal and business finances is the first and most important financial boundary, and how to create a simple system you can actually maintain.
With over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance — and a trauma-informed, somatic approach to nervous system regulation — Christina bridges the gap between practical money management and emotional safety.

Christina also shares stories from her work with clients who felt overwhelmed, behind, or afraid to look at their numbers — and how clarity often brings relief, not more shame.

Christina also shares a powerful personal story about trying to “set boundaries” in an unsafe relationship — and the moment she realized that boundaries aren’t just words or agreements… they’re something your body has to be able to hold.

In this episode, we’re talking about why people stay in relationships that hurt — even when, on some level, they know something isn’t right.

In today’s episode of Loving Your Life Again, we’re starting the year with one simple but powerful focus: safety first.
You don’t need to become someone new.
You didn’t fail at healing.
You adapted to what felt safest at the time.

In this episode, I explain (in very simple language):
This is a grounding, gentle conversation for anyone who feels tired of surviving and ready to begin coming home to themselves — at a pace that actually feels safe.

As we close out the year, many of us feel the pull to push harder, do more, and prepare for what’s next. But what if the most powerful thing you could do right now… is pause?
In this episode of Loving Your Life Again, Christina shares an honest reflection on what happens when healing and personal growth become too serious — and how the body gently calls us back to joy.
Drawing from her own experience completing a major season of work, Christina explores how easy it is to slip into productivity mode and quietly abandon self-care without realizing it. Through breathwork and somatic awareness, she reconnects with the truth that release doesn’t require understanding — the body already knows how to let go.
This episode is especially timely as we move through the final New Moon of the year in Sagittarius, a moment that invites big-picture reflection, truth-telling, and intention setting for the year ahead. Energetically, we’re also closing a cycle of deep shedding and preparing to step into a season of forward momentum — making it essential to release what no longer belongs before moving ahead.
Rather than forcing clarity or breakthroughs, Christina reminds us that joy, safety, and presence are practices — not rewards we earn later.
If you’ve been feeling tired, serious, disconnected, or stuck in survival mode, this episode offers a gentle reframe and an embodied invitation to come back home to yourself.

This episode is all about the Law of Opposites and how the universe uses contrast to help you choose your next level.
In this raw, honest, deeply human episode, Christina shares a real-time story about traveling that started out smooth, effortless, and magical… until the trip home. What unfolded became a powerful lesson in trust, nervous system regulation, and choosing alignment even when everything goes sideways.
Inside this episode, you’ll hear:
✨ What the Law of Opposites actually is
— and why it shows up every time you’re expanding, manifesting, or stepping into a new chapter.
✨ How the universe uses challenges to calibrate your next level
— not to punish you, but to help you consciously choose who you want to be.
✨ A real-life story of divine timing
— including a tight layover, a potential missed flight, and a “just-in-time” miracle that revealed exactly how supported you truly are.
✨ How old trauma patterns get activated in moments of stress
— and how to regulate your nervous system so you don’t collapse back into fear, panic, or overthinking.
✨ What it means to trust the unseen
— even when your mind wants to spiral or assume the worst.
✨ A gentle reminder:
Your reaction in the moment of contrast is your declaration to the universe about what you truly want.
This episode is for women healing from survival mode, recovering from toxic relationships, navigating emotional triggers, and learning how to trust themselves — and God — again.

In this episode of Loving Your Life Again, Christina Sommers shares a raw, unfiltered message that’s been rising in her since her recent retreat and breathwork circle: we are no longer here to play small.
Christina opens up about her personal journey — walking away from an abusive relationship, surviving a head-on collision, and unraveling the stories that once silenced her voice and power. She reflects on what it means to find true safety in your body, and why safety is the foundation for reclaiming your voice, your choice, and your power.
This episode is part story, part declaration, and part embodied practice. Christina guides you through a short somatic exercise and breathwork practice to help you feel safe in your own body, regulate your nervous system, and remember your inner strength.
If you’ve ever felt like you’ve been shrinking, hiding, or holding back, this conversation is your reminder that you are meant for more. You have permission to choose differently — to break free from the chains of your past and step boldly into freedom, sovereignty, and joy.

Most of us were never taught how to feel.
We were told things like:
“Stop crying or I’ll give you something to cry about.”
“You’re fine.”
“Don’t be so sensitive.”
So we learned to stuff down our emotions, loop through the stories in our minds, and disconnect from our bodies. The result? Explosions, shutdowns, or even dis-ease from years of suppressing what was never meant to be held inside.
But here’s the truth: in order to feel better, we have to become better feelers.
In this short and powerful episode, I share:
✨ You don’t have to fix the feeling. You just have to feel it.

This week, I’m going raw and unfiltered.
I’ve been deep in the work of remembering — the kind that has nothing to do with your mind and everything to do with your body.
Because here’s the truth: you can’t think your way home. You have to feel your way there.
In this episode, I’m breaking down:
This isn’t a fluffy “just breathe” conversation. It’s a call to reclaim the parts of you that have been silenced, shut down, or shoved into the background.
And if you’re ready to take this from conversation to embodiment, my Breath of Renewal Monthly Circle is happening this Sunday, August 17th @ 3:00 PM ET.
This is your invitation to gather with women from all walks of life, breathe as one, release what’s been heavy, and remember who you are.

Heartbreak hurts—but it can also be the doorway to something beautiful.
In this episode of Loving Your Life Again, I’m joined Diane Beck, who is an Intuitive Alignment Coach and creator of Soul Signal Mapping™, the core method behind her transformational program Healing Heartbreaks. She helps high-functioning women heal the emotional root of their pain, reconnect with unconscious wisdom, and realign their lives from the inside out - so they can feel whole, powerful, and fully themselves.
Her work isn’t only about mindset or a surface-level coaching. She guides women through heartbreak as a portal and a way in to true transformation - using the nervous system and unconscious signals as a map back to deep clarity and intuition, self-trust, and feminine leadership. The result? Strong feminine women who attract aligned relationships, lead with wisdom, and become the matriarchs of the next generation - not from performance, but from truth.
At the heart of her work is a simple truth:
If you don’t transmute your pain, you transmit it.
Now is the time to come home to who you really are.
We talk about:
If you’re ready to release old wounds and rediscover your power, this episode is for you.

Have you ever felt like you were holding someone else’s frustration and calling it your own?
In this week’s episode, I’m peeling back the layers on something I’ve been deeply feeling this season: frustration.
Not just the everyday kind, but the deeper kind—the frustration that comes from misalignment, unspoken boundaries, old trauma responses, and nervous system patterns that we didn’t choose… but that are still running the show.

The Gentle Path to Transformation: Embracing Softness in Healing
In this episode of 'Loving Your Life Again,' host Christina, a trauma-informed coach and breathwork facilitator, discusses the misconception that transformation and healing must be intense and painful. She delves into the belief that growth requires collapse and emphasizes that true healing can be gentle, slow, and even joyful. Christina explores how over-efforting and spiritual bypassing can be counterproductive and highlights the importance of integrating mind and body through practices like breathwork and somatic coaching. She encourages listeners to stay present, embrace discomfort, and approach their healing journey with compassion and safety.

Welcome to Loving Your Life Again—the podcast for heart-centered women ready to break free from survival mode and step into a life of confidence, clarity, and abundance.
I’m Christina, and I know firsthand what it’s like to feel trapped—whether in a toxic relationship, emotional overwhelm, or the weight of past trauma. After leaving my marriage to a drug-addicted narcissist, I felt lost, disconnected from myself, and unsure of what was next. I struggled to trust myself, and my nervous system was stuck in fight-or-flight.
But I refused to let that be my story. I went on a healing journey—learning to regulate my nervous system, reclaim my worth, and rebuild my life from the inside out. Along the way, I integrated my background as an accountant with my deep passion for healing, becoming a trauma-informed breathwork facilitator and coach. Now, I help heart-centered solopreneurs heal their money story, regulate their nervous system, and build thriving, aligned businesses with ease.
Each week on this podcast, we’ll explore financial clarity, nervous system healing, and the deep inner work needed to step into true abundance. Whether you’re navigating burnout, money stress, or fear of stepping into your power, you’ll find the mindset shifts, strategies, and support you need to reclaim your life.
You are not alone. You are worthy of abundance, peace, and joy. It’s time to love your life again.

In this episode of Loving Your Life Again, we dive into the subtle ways we try to force our healing and why that can actually slow us down. I share a personal experience from a breathwork session where I caught myself trying to force safety—and what happened when I chose to simply allow instead.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing all the right things but still feel stuck, this episode is for you. Healing isn’t about pushing through—it’s about trusting the process.
Key Takeaways:
✨ Healing isn’t linear—it’s a layered journey that keeps evolving.
✨ Forcing healing can create resistance instead of progress.
✨ Your body already knows how to heal—trust its wisdom.
✨ Allowing your feelings means being present, not controlling the process.
✨ When you let go of control, you create space for deeper healing.

On this week's episode I dive into the importance of Gut Health within the Healing Journey with Jennifer Tabrizi.
Jennifer is a fitness + gut health coach for women. Years ago she faced a life-changing diagnosis of Crohn's disease + almost lost her colon. This situation pretty much forced Jennifer into taking better care of her health. Through fitness, nutrition, and yoga, Jennifer was able to help her body heal, and has now been in remission from Crohn's for 7+ years. After going through this experience, Jennifer felt called to teach other women how they too could enhance their lives through the modalities that helped her. Jennifer's mission is to help other women see that anything is possible when it comes to healing + good health.
Three key pillars for holistic healing from the inside out includes nutrition, movement and mind - through yoga, meditation and energetically creating space to heal the body.
Share with us your key takeaway or one thing you can begin implementing today.

On this weeks conversation, I have a deep conversation with Nilzara Rivera. We dive deep into the conversation regarding our faith journey, love for God and healing.
Meet Nilzara Rivera, a Trauma-Informed Intuitive Healer, Transformational Coach, and Light Language Practitioner. Nilzara has a passionate connection to God, which has helped to explore and fine-tune her skills in distant energy healing, healing meditations, and light language. Her real, raw, yet loving approach creates a safe space where people are empowered to heal and unLayer the bullshit holding them back from being their unique expression of God.
In addition, Nilzara is a domestic violence survivor and advocate, has a degree in Applied Behavioral Science, is an international bestselling author, and has her Reiki 1, Life Coach, Health Coach, and Anger Management Coach Certifications.
But what best positioned Nilzara to be a healer and transformational coach was her decision to heal the emotional wounds that hindered her from prioritizing herself. She knows the exhaustion and pain that comes from living a life where her identity and self-worth rely on meeting the needs of others while neglecting her wants, needs, and desires. Nilzara now focuses on living a life of divine alignment.

In this episode, I reflect on the conversation I had with Reese regarding overcoming trauma holistically.
Trauma is a complex topic, not to be minimized. It impacts the body and mind, and the importance of a holistic approach to healing. I shared a bit of my personal journey of healing and the various tools I have found helpful, including breathwork, journaling, and therapy.
Healing is not your purpose, there is no timeframe on healing, it is a journey of which it is important to acknowledge your progress, being resourceful, and continuing to improve.

Overcoming Trauma Holistically, is that even possible...
In this episode, I have a conversation with Reese who is an indigenous medicine woman and author using her training to help others overcome trauma holistically.
Reese and I discuss:
1. What trauma is, as well as explore what it is not
2. Holistic, exploring what this actually means; it is more than just natural. It is working with the entire body, including the mind, emotions, spirituality, the physical body, diet and self care.
3. Overcoming and healing takes deep work, using tools like breathwork, art therapy, music, talk, journaling or writing things down to remember.
4. There is HOPE!
5. Learn to laugh
6. Recovery - it is mostly possible
7. Building your own toolbox.
You can find Reese at @traumaToBliss on all platforms.

Following up on the conversation from last week, I wanted to share my thoughts and how I got started in my meditation practice.
Looking at it first from a Biblical Perspective, we look at some verses that speak to meditation. They include:
Praying is talking to God and meditating is listening.
Meditation encourages you to turn inward, listen to yourself, and heal the areas that need love.
Meditation is a practice, the more you do it the easier and more rewarding it will become.

This week we dive deep into a conversation about meditation with Rain Elizabeth Stickney.
Rain Elizabeth is a spiritual counselor and meditation teacher in private practice who has been offering her services of presence and healing for over 15 years. Beginning in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, she now lives on the east coast moving from pandemic online offerings back into in-person sessions and groups. Rain holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with special studies in Biofeedback and Somatics. She also has a Master's degree in East West Psychology with a Certificate in Expressive Arts Consulting and Education. Her life work is the continual integration of the four pillars of human experience: body, mind, heart, and spirit. Rain's favorite spiritual tradition is Advaita Vedanta, and she has explored many others as well. Resting in presence, she loves hiking through her 52 acres of wild land, adventuring with her son, and cuddling up with her life partner as they all learn and grow together over time. Her unique offering is based in compassion for all that is.
In this episode we discuss:
1. What meditation is and the spectrum of meditation available depending on what you are looking to use meditation for.
2. How to get started in a meditation practice
3. The healing benefits of meditation, especially when it comes to healing trauma
4. How long it is suggested one meditates for
5. The importance of support and how to find it within your meditation journey
6. And that meditation is a very personal journey
Be sure to listen all the way to the end, where Rain Elizabeth will lead us through a short, but powerful meditation.

Following up on last week's conversation about journaling, I will share with you how I actively used journaling on my journey.
It helped me see clearly when it was time to go in two ways:
1. I would free-write about events, occurrences, and all the things that would later cause me to feel like I was going crazy. Another term for this is gaslighting.
2. I would note all the different ways in which I was trying to make my marriage work and the outcomes of them.
After leaving it helped to process all the emotions.
In talking about Gaslighting, the information provided came from:
https://www.thehotline.org/resources/what-is-gaslighting
If you need immediate help, go to their website to chat, call 1-800-799-7233, or text "START" to 88788
Journaling is an amazing tool, if you missed the last episode be sure to go listen to hear where we discussed things like you don’t have time to not journal, it is a safe place to talk to God, figure out life, explore, rant and celebrate, it frees space for your heart, mind, and body, and so much more. Make sure, if you missed it, you go back and check it out.
So, have you tried journaling yet? What are your thoughts? Do you see it making a difference? Do you need more guidance? Let me know, I want to hear from you:

To further expand upon last week's episode, in this episode, we discuss in greater detail the topic of manifestation and how it can be used in your healing journey.
Manifestation has become a buzzword in recent years, despite the fact that the concept has been around for as long as anyone can remember. It's had different names, it's been seen in various cultures and religions.

Hello, my friends!
Today, we are welcoming guest, Ashlee Hoelck. Ashlee Hoelck lives in Texas with her husband and 2 sons. She homeschools and they have daily adventures exploring nature with friends. Because of her drastic transformation with the help of coaches where she healed 12 years of chronic physical pain caused by the emotional trauma of an abusive relationship- she found her life purpose. She started her business, Phoenix Rize Coaching with the mission of helping women who’ve endured toxic relationships to rebuild their self-worth, heal trauma, and confidently create the life they deserve..
In our conversation, we go through Ashlee's healing journey and how manifestation played an integral role in her healing process.
Remember, everyone’s journey is going to look different. There is no wrong way, except for not starting. There are so many options out there, the key is to try various ones until you find the options that resonate with you. With that, I want to refer to mental health support specifically. When healing trauma, it may be beneficial to utilize a mental health professional to guide you in the process. Each person’s healing journey looks different, so what works for one person may or may not work for you. Don’t dismiss any options without giving them a try.
Manifestation is more than just thinking and envisioning your way to all the things you want. Manifestation is actually a powerful tool that can be used in the healing process.
You are not alone in your journey. You cannot change the past, only how you will handle the present, and you are worthy to love the life you live. Finally, healing is possible
I am grateful you decided to go on this journey with me! Please remember you are not alone, feel free to contact me, all contact information is in the notes below.
I love to hear your feedback, what you like, what don’t you like, or what topics you would like to hear about.

In this episode, we discuss all things about surrendering.
What surrendering is and what it isn't.
I offer some practical steps you can take on your surrendering journey, and it's just that, a journey. Similar to a muscle that needs to be worked.
Some thoughts to remember, when you think you've surrendered, surrender some more. And obstacles are detours in the right direction. Everything in life is happening for you and not to you.

After the last episode discussing overthinking, God laid it on my heart to offer a prayer of surrender.
We dug a little bit more into what it looks like to surrender.
God already knows our hearts; we can surrender it all to Him by looking at Psalm 139.
We then closed in a prayer of surrender.
