Millions of dollars in critical contraceptives and HIV supplies for poor nations are now closer to destruction than distribution, as Trump’s MAGA administration blocks lifesaving aid.

Lawyers and organizations like the American Constitutional Society and Public Citizen are pushing back—challenging Trump’s power grabs and giving voice to citizens seeking justice.

Trump’s unauthorized deployment of the National Guard to Los Angeles—overriding both Governor Newsom and Mayor Bass—is a dangerous violation of state rights, provoking peaceful protest and civil unrest.

  1. Voter Suppression by Executive Order:

Trump’s latest executive order aims to strip voting rights, enforce surveillance, and punish states defending fair elections. Fortunately, legal injunctions are halting some provisions—for now.

  1. A Chilling Warning for 2026:

As David Frum writes in The Atlantic, Trump’s actions in Los Angeles may be a “dress rehearsal” for stealing the next election. Peaceful protest is now met with militarized force, and the threat of martial law looms.

Episode Highlights:

· "Kamala Harris didn’t just debate Trump—she dismantled him."

This debate was more than a political contest; it was a turning point. Harris commanded the stage, exposing Trump’s weaknesses while maintaining her poise and focus.

· "In a stunning display of leadership, Harris delivered a masterclass in how to confront chaos with calm."

From fact-checking Trump’s falsehoods to addressing key issues like abortion and democracy, Harris didn’t flinch—she outmaneuvered Trump at every turn.

· "Donald Trump was left floundering as Harris controlled the narrative, keeping him on the defensive throughout the night."

Rather than presenting a coherent vision for the future, Trump relitigated his past, giving Harris the space to drive home her vision for America.

· "‘You’re not running against Joe Biden, you’re running against me,’ Harris reminded Trump—and it became clear she was the real opponent he wasn’t prepared for."

Harris’s presence dominated the evening, showing that she’s ready to lead with clarity and decisiveness.

· "63% of viewers agreed—Kamala Harris won this debate, leaving Trump with no choice but to resort to old, tired tactics that failed to land."

Scientific polls painted a clear picture: Harris emerged victorious, and Trump’s inability to handle the pressure only further solidified her standing.

· "This debate was a clash between the future and the past, between a leader with a vision and a former president stuck in old grievances."

Harris offered a pathway forward, while Trump clung to his familiar playbook of division and fear. The choice could not be clearer.

White Privilege Feeds Racism

Summary Points of the Podcast:

“Racism is a systematic process that oppresses persons of color to provide advantage to Caucasians. It is embedded in every aspect of our society. It feeds the other ISMs that are just as detrimental to our country as racism.” Dr. Jackalyn has read this statement over and over again in the thousands of articles she has read over 50 years. In this podcast you will have examples that will exemplify systemic racism. She will address the denial of white people that do not want to face the reality of what happens in our country. You will have ideas that will fortify you desire to help lessen and someday rid the U.S. of these ISMs.

Rev. Al Sharpton had powerful and heartfelt statementsafter George Floyds death. He shows how African Americans have had Floyd’s experience with this statement: “When I stood at the spot (where George Floyd died) the reason it got to me is that George Floyd’s story has been the story of Black Forks for over 401 years. What happened to Floyd happens every day in this country, in education, in health services and in every area of American life. It is time to stand up in George’s name and say get your knee of our necks!” You will find more statements from Rev. Sharpton in this podcast.

Dr. Jackalyn provides excerpts from Peggy McIntosh’s article, White Privilege: Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack. See what you find from McIntosh’s comment “I have come to see white privilege as an invisible package of unearned assets which I can count on cashing in each day, but about which I was ‘meant’ to remain oblivious.” You will have a clear example of what this means after listening to Podcast 57.

Social Justice Supports Diversity And Our Democratic Process For All Citizens

Summary Points of the Podcast:

Do you know people in our country that are fear based and support the passage of laws that support only Caucasians. Through this podcast you will have a much greater understanding of their internal process, which gives you a chance to see how you may be able to talk with them or not. We need to be willing to talk with people that do not recognize white domination, whiteprivilege and white immunity, and how it affects all people in America. Hate comes from fear and distorted views of what is real.

Hear Dr. Jackalyn’s story about how she learned aboutdiscrimination and its impact on different races, genders, the LGBTQ+ community and other groups. Ask yourself where you learned about these groups and what you were taught by your parents. Is their conflict between you and your parents? Define for yourself how your values impact your view of other groupsor the experiences you have had in the U.S.

Consider what Dr. Jackalyn’s five values are, and how shelives them daily. What are your five values and when do live them and when do you not live them? Values determine what we believe about diversity, equity and inclusion. List your values then define your values. Through those definitionsof your values and how you live your values you will clearly see how you support our democracy and when you do not support our democratic process.

Determine what you feel when you think about the lifeexperiences you have had. Realize what these experiences have provided you to see how you vote, who you support and what you want to know about the people you elect to represent you in your state elections or nationally.

This podcast will assist you in clarifying your own story. When you know your story, it increases your confidence in yourself to stand firm and support what you believe to be equitable to all the diverse groups of our country. As you tell your story then you will encourage the other person totell their story. When talking about values, it is much easier to have meaningful discussion, and it is hard to argue about values or a person’s story.

Factual Data of Actions Taken in the United States today

Summary Points of the Podcast:

I gave you multiple ways that Trump and MAGA Republicansare attempting to brainwash people in the U.S. and through those efforts our democratic process is being eroded. Specific groups in our country are being minimized and discriminated against. Every day some new discriminatory actions is being taken by them. This podcast gives examples of what is happening to protect voting rights, eradicate poverty, decarcerating Black and Brown people,Dismantling white supremacy, and Fighting back against hate.

Spearheading actions requires us to know about the historical basis of Trump and MAGA Republicans actions, which I include in this podcast, and gave you important information in Podcast 48 through 53 about the misuse of Critical Race Theory. Today, we need to understand the grandfather clause, the Alabama literacy tests and other Jim Crow laws, since similar tactics are being used by them to eliminate groups of citizens from being ableto vote. You have a chance to hear about the actions by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) to restore full power to the Voting Rights Act.

Finally, you will hear how the SPLC is using their OurLearning for Justice Program to push back against the states mandating censorship in public schools. We need to stop Trump and MAGA Republicans from creating a culture of intimidation for teachers and students across our country.

How to Fight CRT Critics and Laws They Are Passing

Summary Points of the Podcast:

It is clear from Podcast 48 to 53 that there is no article written that professes a theory or foundation of beliefs that triggered the passage of anti-CRT laws. After hearing the story about the Fox news interview with someone who had no knowledge or experience with CRT it is easy to trace the inappropriate actions to Trump and his staff member. There was no legitimate study of CRT by them, and its use to justify attacks of CRT, banning books, attack transgender kids and their parent and “woke” people and organizations.

I did discover a conservative institute that puts out articles that are highly criticized by law journals, and subject matter experts. Some of the criticisms are use of anecdotal information, inflated rhetoric, misrepresentation, no empirically based measures, and evasive methods of argument.

In the article by the Southern Poverty Law Center lawyer, Robert Kim, you will learn what exactly are the anti-CRT laws, which he says, “do not have much to do with critical race theory.” He goes through states to allow each of us to understand what these laws focus on. I have provided his statements about states, and what the 1619 Project is and the reasons it was established after 400 years of slavery. Hear the story about the White Lion ship and how 1619 needs to be the founding day of America not 1620.

I found Kim’s section on “Can I still discuss and teach issues pertaining to racism or sexism in schools or staff trainings” informative, and a significant opportunity to know what to ask and how to clarify these anti-CRT laws. His section on “Are the anti CRT laws legal” gave clear statements about the reason that so many of these laws are now being addressed in state and federal courts. Kim’s statements are valuable to show you how teachers and trainers can take stands against the language of anti-CRT legislation.

You will have a chance to hear the reason that Republican women are speaking out about Trump, and standing up for democracy rather than the Republican party.

The Truth About Critical Race Theory and How It Shows Up In a Classroom

Summary Points of the Podcast:

In podcasts 48, 49, 50 and 51, I give different information about the fight over Critical Race Theory (CRT) and how it has been misused. If you understand CRT and how the republicans are misusing it, you will have a much better chance inany discussion to destroy their stance on CRT.

I have spent over 50 years of my professional career working toward equity for all races. By taking the time to delve into CRT, I have a much greater understanding of what is happening politically in our country. Many republicans have no clue what Trump and others have done to falsify CRT. Sadly, they are so invested in protecting their perceived live style that they do not see the harmthey do every day. You will find data that shows how legal institutions, federal and state courts are scrutinizing these “law bans” on history, education, etc. It may take time; however, the truth about how these bans are an effort to push back racial equality and undermine our democracy society will be named.

Stephen Sawchuk’s article entitled “What is Critical Race Theory and Why is it Under attack” has very revealing facts about historical discrimination in the U.S. The decision of Republicans onadding children in schools K-12 was another lie that has created volatility, and hides their purpose of spreading their extreme conservative ideology.

My reasons for creating these podcasts on CRT was a way I could address my concerns of the systematic efforts to reverse the racial collaboration of changes that can help us find ways to address racism and many other issues. Sawchuk provides you an answer to “Does critical race theory say all white people are racist? Isn’t that racists, too?” Republicans use this question to create anger and fear in their supporters.

Sawchuk’s clear statements that “critical race theory is not being taught in K-12, since CRT is written in academic language or published in journals not easily accessibleto K-12 teachers.” He says that the laws that ban something are too vague, possibly unconstitutional since they impermissibly restrict free speech. He then provides you the reasons that these laws must be addressed, since theylimit instruction in any schools where republican dominated states have bans.

An article published “EXPLAIN: The Truth About Critical Race Theory and How it Shows Up in Your Child’s Classroom is enlightening. There are multiple resources in this article so no one could question the legitimacy of the statements being made. Again, Ed post Staff that wrote this article refutesrepublican statements: “Critical race theory itself is not being taught in K-12 schools (unless you’re talking about some very advanced students). These advanced students are academically functioning at a college level. He provides you with a disturbing fact: “School funding inequities persist; predominatelywhite district districts receive $23 billion more in funding than districts serving students of color.” You will definitely want to know more facts that are documented and referenced in this article described in my podcast 52.

Finding What CRT Does to Help Us Read History and Its Relations to the Present

Knowing what the founders of Critical Race Theory (CRT) like Kimberle Williams Crenshaw, a law professor at the U.C.L.A. School of Law and Columbia Law School along with many other original writers will allow you to know what CRT really said and how it is being used today. “Critical Race Theory is a method that takes the lived experience of racism seriously, using history and social reality to explain how racism operates in American Law and culture, toward the end of eliminating the harmful effects of racism and bringing about a just and healthy world for all.”

You will learn from this podcast how CRT provides the framework as a way to help the United States live up to its own ideals, or as a model for thinking about the big, daunting problems that affect everyone on this planet. Professor Matsuda said, “We have a serious problem that requires big, structural changes; otherwise, we are dooming future generations to catastrophe. Our inability to think structurally, with a sense of mutual care, is dooming us—whether the problem is racism, or climate disaster, or world peace.

Many scholars from all fields see the advantage of using CRT to transform the United States challenges. So, what is stopping us from using CRT to make the changes. Trump and the MAGA republicans used “well-worn racist stereotypes by castigating Black Lives Matter protesters as ‘thugs’ and falsely accused them of violent attacks on police and private property.” Sadly, One of Trump’s staffersheard an interview on Tucker Carlson’s show on Fox News with a man who had no knowledge of Critical Race Theory; however, he made comments about what was being taught in executive trainings in corporation. His statements were false; however, Trump took this interview and used it to deflect public attention away from racism and to galvanize conservative Americans. They created a campaign thatwe see the results today in states dominated by republican legislatures. When you hear what CRT is, you will be able to identify their distortions, and I think you will know that these actions are a blatant effort to gain political supporters. It is definitely not for the betterment of all Americans, and it is negatively impacting our educational system.

The fascinating thing is Trump and his supporters’ actions literally show us how the bans support the view of Critical Race Theory that racism is inherent in the law, legal instructions and social structures of our society. Their actions show how they are a threat to our democratic process and our democracy.

My reasons for creating these podcasts on CRT was a way I could address my concerns of the systematic efforts to reverse the racial collaboration of changes that can help us find ways to address racism and many other issues.

Factual Data and Stories that Provide Experience and Understanding of CRT Summary Points of the Podcast:

I decided to go to videos so I could possibly connect more with each of you that would be willing to follow me on this journey of addressing Hot Topics Bold Talk. You will find facts and stories that show you what is happening in our country. I will admit that I had not studied Critical Race Theory (CRT) like I needed to. I can clearly see what Trump and MAGA Republicans are doing to take actions to avoid the discussions of race and racism, gender and sexism, LGBTQ+ and heterosexism, etc. I have a much clearer picture of what has happened to us in America and how republicans that support Trump are doing everything they can to turn back racial progress.

I think it is amazing how many Americans cannot separate their individual identity as Americans from the social institutions that govern us—these people see themselves as the system. The tragedy is they interpret calling social institutions racist as calling them racist personally. Sadly, they have brought into their false narrative that the U.S. is an equitable democracy. You and I know that America is still not great for everyone.

What has been the impact of the efforts to roll back racial progress? Become disturbed by these actions and realize that this is a horrible idea and does injustice to our kids. Teachers not being able to talk about race/racism, and gender/sexism puts a chilling effect on what educators are willing to discuss in the classroom and provide cover for those who are not comfortable hearing or telling the truth about the history and state of race relations in the U.S.

As you have a better understanding of Critical Race Theory (CRT), you will be able to identify the distortions and uses of the CRT. One of the resources I use in this podcast will show you how the opponents’ narratives about CRT are a gross exaggeration of the theoretical framework.

I decided to take podcast 49 from last week and make a video of it. (You can watch it on Spotify HERE.) You will find other facts from scholars and legal experts about what Critical Race Theory Is. This podcast also gives part of the history and the basis of fear that is being used by the republican party to create their base of white people that fear the changes that have been happening in our country. Be assured that what you have seen or read about since the civil rights movement was an effort to bring forth CRT theorist ideas to have a country that supports a greater society and one that is the best for all Americans.

I invite you to answer the polling questions and let me know how you feel about what I am presenting. Let me know if there are other subjects you would like me to address with my podcast Hot Topic Bold Talk.
