Welcome to the Journey to June podcast, I'm your host, Wendy Posillico, former pro athlete, single mom, transitional mindset coach, and the founder of Live Your June. This podcast is all about being intentional, disrupting your norm, instigating your soul, and creating a bold, unique imprint that leaves a mark on future generations.
So in this show, I'm going to bring you stories from people I have met on my path to living my June.
People who chart the course live extraordinary lives. Humans who take the harder road to follow their inner wisdom, who pave the way and use their unique imprint to push their limits and motivate generations that stand the test of time. So here we go. Join me as I help you inspire to find your uniqueness and take you on your journey to June.
This week on Journey to June I'm talking to Adam DeVon Miller, founder and CEO of Good Game Foundation, a nonprofit that connects athletes to purpose beyond the game they play. Adam played wide receiver at Wabash College and was the first in his family to go to college — football was the thing that opened that door for him.
But this conversation isn't really about football. It's about what happened after. A service trip to post-Katrina New Orleans cracked open a much bigger question for Adam: what does the game actually mean once the scoreboard disappears?
We talk about the two-a-days that taught him he could push further than he thought, the Kevin Love essay that cracked something open in him years later, and why he believes every athlete is carrying a story worth more than any box score.
This one is about building an identity the game can't take from you — and what it costs when you wait too long to start.

This week I sit down with Olympian, coach, and father of three Roberto Mandje, and what struck me most wasn't the résumé — it was how he talks about being stronger than he ever gave himself credit for.
Roberto grew up between Barcelona, West Africa, and the U.S., raised by a single mother who never once told him what he couldn't do, and he carried that into a twelve-year running career that peaked at the 2004 Athens Olympics, lining up in the 1500m next to the very runner whose poster hung on his bedroom wall.
In this episode, we talk about what it actually feels like to stand at that start line, what running alone in the woods still teaches him that a desk never will, and how becoming a father — and, more recently, walking away from the organization he'd spent a decade helping build — forced him to ask what he's actually building his life toward now.
This one is about identity that doesn't collapse when the structure around it changes, and about what it means to leave every place, and every person, a little better than you found it.

This week I sat down with Abiola Wabara — a former pro basketball player, national champion, and now the founder of Globall Life, a platform built to help athletes navigate life after sport.
In this episode, we get into her childhood in Italy as the daughter of Nigerian parents, the culture shock of trading Rome for Waco, Texas, and the ten-year pro career that followed.
But the real conversation starts after the ball stops bouncing — when Abiola describes googling her own master's degree because she had no idea what to do with it, driving Uber with her resume in the passenger seat, and the panic attacks she didn't even recognize as panic attacks.
This is a conversation about what happens when the structure that built you disappears, and what it actually takes to build a new one. Abiola's answer might surprise you: it starts with letting go of your ego.

This week on Journey to June, I sat down with Jill Muhe — a former Division I and professional beach volleyball player who spent a decade grinding on the AVP tour before becoming an athletic trainer, a college head coach, and now a career consultant for athletes navigating life after sport.
Jill and I talk about growing up playing basketball with the boys, the identity crash that comes with retiring (more than once), and a reframe that stopped me in my tracks: athletes don't lose their drive when sport ends, they lose the ecosystem that was quietly supporting it the whole time.
We get into what actually happens to a high performer who's grinding without a coach, a team, or anyone celebrating the small wins, and why the real question isn't "why did you play" but "why did you stay." If you've ever felt like your motivation disappeared overnight, this conversation will help you understand what really happened — and how to rebuild.

This week on Journey to June, I sat down with Amy Pierre-Russo. Amy spent a decade in HR before becoming a life and business coach, and she built something she calls Hustle to Harmony.
Instead of the scale — which just makes you feel like you're failing the second one side gets heavier — she thinks of it as a pie. You only get 100%. Some seasons work takes 60, some seasons your kid needs 60. That's not imbalance. That's just life.
We went deep into her own story too. Amy lost her mom when she was six, and was raised by her dad, who made the choice not to bring anyone else into the house full-time. I asked her what that absence taught her, and what it's like now raising her own son knowing what that gap felt like as a kid.
We talked about the guilt of leaving for work trips, the small rituals that make it easier, and this idea of surrender — that you don't have to make peace with hard choices, you just have to give yourself grace around them.
This one stayed with me. If you've ever felt like you're failing at the "balance" thing, I think you'll feel a little lighter after this.

Five years of Live Your June. One conversation with the girl it's named after.
In this episode, I sit down with my daughter Josephine June — now 13 — to reflect on what it's actually been like watching me build this movement. What shifted. What she absorbed. What she hopes comes next.
We recorded this the week of the Fourth of July. My dad's favorite holiday. It felt right.

This week on Journey to June, I'm joined by Megan Hayward, a former Division One basketball player, mom of five, and founder of TAG (Temporary Assistance Guru), a staffing platform she built from the ground up at 24 years old. But that's not really where this episode starts.
We started with what it means to let your kid sit in hard. Megan and her husband — a former Jacksonville Jaguar and Denver Bronco — have raised athletes who've had to face that moment: am I going to quit, or am I going to see what I'm made of? One son is at West Point. Another is getting Division One offers. The path wasn't straight for any of them, and that's exactly the point.
Then Megan went somewhere I rarely go on this podcast. She shared the story of surviving an abusive relationship in college — one that produced her son Israel and ultimately the force that broke her free. What she said about raising him, about not pretending his father never existed, about the safe spaces we have to create for our kids — I'll be thinking about that for a long time.
We also talked about what ethical leadership actually looks like in business, ownership as a core value, and the shopping cart test she gave her entire team. Her company TAG sits at the intersection of the gig economy and traditional staffing — solving a problem nobody else was solving with integrity.

Nine years ago, I said yes to a weekend I couldn't fully explain — three days with Bo Eason, before Live Your June existed, before I had language for what I was even looking for. This year, I said yes to the same experience again, but this time I brought Josi along.
In this episode, Josi turns the mic around and asks me why it mattered, and then I turn it back on her: what has her own version of that room given her at 13 that took me decades to find.
We talk through what it means to live as a player instead of a fan in your own life and why confidence isn't something you believe, it's something you physically stand in.
We also get into Roger Love, the voice coach who's worked with everyone from Selena Gomez to Tom Brady, and a moment with LPGA golfer Lorena Ochoa that first showed me what "professional" actually looks like in practice.
What surfaces by the end isn't really about that one weekend. It's me and my daughter comparing notes nine years apart, and me admitting out loud that she's more clear at 13 than I was at 45.
The episode closes the way it opened: asking what room you've been circling, and whether you're willing to walk in without knowing where it leads.

Five years ago I launched Live Your June at 50 with no roadmap, no business plan, and no idea what I was doing. What I didn't know then is that the business was never the point. Who I was becoming was.
In this episode I'm sharing the five lessons that have shaped the last five years — not the highlight reel version, but the real one. The rhythms that built me. The rooms that stretched me. The people who carried me when I couldn't carry myself. The seasons I almost quit and didn't. And the moment I realized the vehicle always changes — but the becoming never ends.
If you've ever been told you weren't ready, that it was unrealistic, that you were crazy for trying — this one's for you.
Subscribe, leave a review, and share this with someone who needs to hear it. Every movement grows one conversation at a time.
Be intentional. Disrupt your norm. Instigate your soul. Because who you're becoming matters.
What happens when you grow up performing for everyone but yourself?
Aly Breathe grew up in Russia chasing a promise she made to her dad at six years old — to stand on an Olympic podium. That promise drove everything: the dancing, the swimming, the gymnastics, the tennis, the exhaustion. On the outside, she was doing it all. On the inside, she didn't even know she was allowed to have her own opinion.
In this conversation, we go into the real cost of that kind of pressure — on the body, on identity, on the way we eat, the way we speak, the way we move through the world. Aly shares her own path from performing-for-approval to what she now calls embodied coaching — the difference between understanding something intellectually and actually letting it go at a cellular level.
Aly's work is the kind that gets rid of chronic pain, restores sleep, and yes — helps people get pregnant. The results sound wild until you understand why they happen.

In this final episode of the Olympic Series, I reflect on what it meant to start chasing a dream when I was 10 years old — long before I understood the pressure, sacrifice, identity, and uncertainty that would come with it.
After sitting down with Olympians, elite athletes, and high performers throughout this series, one thing became clear to me: performance can shape you, but it can’t fully define you.
This conversation is about identity under pressure, borrowed belief, resilience, the environments that shape us, and what happens when the thing you built your life around changes or disappears.

Jarrod Shoemaker spent years competing at the highest level of sport — Olympian, World Championship competitor, World Series winner — but this conversation went far beyond results.
What stood out to me most was how honest he was about pressure, identity, and the mental side of performing when expectations rise.
We talked about the moment he realized he was holding himself back by thinking too much… and how one conversation after a race changed everything. We talked about trusting preparation, the anxiety that comes with elite performance, learning how to adapt, and the difference between approaching success vs. avoiding failure.
But what I loved most was hearing how he still chases growth today — not through medals, but through adventure racing, connection, challenge, and being fully present without the noise of the world constantly pulling at him.

In this episode, I sit down with Olympian and author Cassidy Krug, who competed in the 2012 Olympic Games in diving and is the author of Resurface. Cassidy shares her journey from growing up in a family of diving coaches to performing on the world’s biggest stage—and what it took internally to get there.
We go beyond performance and into the real work behind it. Cassidy opens up about the pressure, the fear, and the moment she realized she had to change how she related to it in order to compete freely. From shaking on the diving board in her first international meet to standing at the Olympics without fear, her story reveals what it actually means to train your response under pressure.
But what makes this conversation different is what came after. When Cassidy retired, she found herself trying to recreate the same “one thing at the center” structure in her career—only to realize it didn’t bring the same fulfillment. That shift led her to explore identity in a deeper way, expanding beyond a single role into writing, motherhood, and a more multi-dimensional life.
This episode is about more than the Olympics. It’s about what happens when you’ve built your life around one thing—and how you begin to redefine yourself when that chapter ends.

Next week on the Olympic Interview Series I'm talking to Cassidy Krug—a 2012 Olympian in springboard diving.
After that conversation, I kept coming back to one thing—she’s still performing at a high level, but there’s a lightness in how she shows up. And it made me realize something I’ve been seeing in my own life and in the people I work with:
We don’t struggle because we care too much. We struggle because we’ve tied our identity to the outcome.
In this episode, I unpack that shift. From what it actually means to “train for pressure” to how this shows up not just in performance, but in leadership and parenting, and what I’m learning in real time with Josi about letting go of control and stepping into leadership instead.
As you listen, I want you to ask yourself: Where am I trying to control the outcome… instead of preparing for it?
If this resonates, I’d love to hear from you—DM me “CLARITY” and let’s talk about what’s really going on underneath.

There’s a version of success we all chase—the one that looks incredible from the outside. Making the team. Reaching the Olympics. Getting there. But what happens when that moment doesn’t give you what you thought it would?
In this episode, Cal Bouchard— a former Team Canada basketball player who competed in the 2000 Sydney Olympics and now works as a leadership coach— takes us inside the reality of chasing something for over a decade—only to feel lost when it’s over.
This episode is about the pressure we place on ourselves, the moments we miss because we’re so focused on getting it right, and the courage it takes to come back—not to prove something, but to experience it differently.

I hear a lot of people talking about what it takes to get somewhere—the work, the sacrifice, the commitment—but almost no one talks about what happens after.
In this solo episode, I step into the space that follows the end of something you built your life around: The silence, the loss of structure, the moment when performance is gone and identity is left exposed. At some point, we all face a transition where who we’ve been no longer fits, and there’s nothing clearly waiting on the other side.
I share my own experience of walking away from golf, feeling lost, and confronting the question most people avoid: who am I without the thing?

What happens when the thing you’ve built your entire life around… ends?
In this episode, I sit down with Gabriel—an Olympian who did what most people spend their lives chasing. He committed fully, stayed in it, and reached the highest level.
But what stood out most wasn’t just what it took to get there…
It was what happened after.
We talk about identity, pressure, and the reality no one prepares you for—when the structure, the goal, and the version of yourself you’ve known for years is suddenly gone.
This conversation isn’t about performance.
It’s about who you are when the thing that defined you… no longer does.

This week on Journey to June, I’m talking about a moment I don’t think gets enough attention—the one right before things start to work. The moment where there’s no proof, no clarity, and nothing around you confirming that you’re on the right path.
This episode is part of my Olympic Series, where I’ve been sitting down with elite athletes and unpacking what actually happens beneath performance. One of the clearest patterns I’ve seen across every Olympian I’ve spoken to is this: they all take action before it makes sense.
In this episode, I share how this has shown up in my own life—choosing golf at 30 and becoming a mother on my own—decisions that didn’t make sense on paper but felt undeniable. I also break down that internal pull—the idea or feeling that keeps coming up—and how our nervous system reacts to it with fear and uncertainty. This isn’t just about mindset; it’s about learning to move even when it feels uncomfortable and unfamiliar.
If this resonates, I also wrote a deeper breakdown in my Substack, where I walk through how to actually take that step when you don’t have the full plan. Check out the full post below.

An identity built early can feel like certainty—until it’s taken away.
In this episode, Kaitlyn Kynast — a U.S. National Team rower and Stanford alum with her sights set on the 2028 Olympics — shares what happens when a young athlete loses the path she thought she was on.
Concussions, isolation, and being pulled out of the very environment that once defined her forced a shift she didn’t choose. But instead of sitting in that loss, she did what high performers are wired to do—she found another lane and went all in.
Kaitlyn went on to row at Stanford, compete at the highest level, and ultimately earn her place on the U.S. National Team. But this conversation isn’t about accolades—it’s about the identity underneath them. How it forms, how it gets challenged, and how quickly high performers move to rebuild when the original plan falls apart.

Not the wins. Not the highlight reel. But what it feels like when you’ve spent years chasing something… and you’re no longer sure if you want to keep going.
Tom shares the reality of building a life around a dream that doesn’t have a clear path, balancing work, relationships, and relentless pursuit—and what happens when the identity tied to that pursuit starts to feel heavy.

This week on the Journey to June Olympic Interview Series, I sat down with U.S. National Team rower Cedar Cunningham to explore what it really looks like to follow something that doesn’t come with a clear path. From walking onto a college team during COVID to moving across the country without a plan, Cedar shares how trusting a quiet internal pull led him into elite performance.
In this conversation, we go deeper than the story. We talk about what it means when your identity becomes tied to what you do, the hidden cost of chasing something at the highest level, and how purpose can both drive you and challenge you. Cedar opens up about the discipline, uncertainty, and mindset it takes to stay committed when there are no guarantees.

This week on our Journey to June Olympic Interview Series, I brought back former Princeton rower and coach Madeline Davis Tully for a deeper conversation about the belief systems that shape elite athletes.
Madeline first appeared on the podcast sharing her journey through collegiate rowing and coaching. In this episode, she returns to dive deeper into the mindset behind high performance—what it takes to move from college athletics into the national team environment and how belief is built along the way.
Contrary to the myth that elite athletes always possess unwavering confidence, Madeline explains how belief is often built through experience, trust in teammates, and learning to stay committed even when doubt creeps in. Drawing from her own experience competing at the national level and coaching athletes who have gone on to race at the Olympic level, she shares what separates athletes who continue rising from those who stall.

We talk about the mindset required to compete at the highest level, the intensity of the Olympic selection process, and what it truly felt like to represent the United States at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Kristin also shares the powerful team culture and belief that helped the U.S. Women’s National Team come together to win gold.

The Games may be over. But the mindset? That’s what we’re here for.
We’re kicking off the Journey to June Olympic Series with Erin Aldrich-Shean — Olympian, dual-sport athlete, and one of the most honest voices you’ll hear about what it really takes.
Erin competed in the 2000 Summer Olympics as a high jumper. She dreamed of the Olympics at six years old. She missed the team at 18. Four years later, she made it.
But here’s the part you don’t see on TV: She hit burnout. Her body shut down. She gained weight before the Games. She was exhausted physically and emotionally. And after the Closing Ceremonies? She went home and slept for months.
This series is about what happens under the surface — the mindset, the unraveling, the rebuilding.
The medals are shiny. The identity work is real.

This week on Journey to June, I’m sharing a solo reflection on belief—what it really means to trust yourself when life doesn’t go the way you planned.
I share about being in a season of healing and forced slowing, and why belief isn’t confidence, motivation, or results. It’s a quiet, internal commitment to who you are becoming, even when there’s no evidence yet.
This episode is for anyone feeling tested, uncertain, or disconnected from their momentum, and needing a reminder that your identity is not defined by circumstance.
🚨 And stay tuned! Over the next few weeks, we’re rolling into an Olympic Series on the podcast, exploring the inner world of elite athletes, identity under pressure, and who you become on and beyond the Olympic path.

In this episode of Journey to June, I sat down with Rachel Pesso, Creative Director and Founder of RP Creative, for a conversation about identity, alignment, and what happens when your brand no longer reflects the depth of who you are—or the work you’re here to do.
Rachel works with founders and visionary leaders at pivotal growth moments, when something feels off but they can’t always name it yet. We talk about how misalignment often shows up quietly first, why branding from identity matters more than branding from performance, and how clarity comes from slowing down and telling the truth about who you’ve become.
If you’ve ever felt like you’ve outgrown your website, your messaging, or the way you show up publicly, this episode is an invitation to pause, listen, and realign. Because alignment isn’t a rebrand—it’s a return.

This week on Journey to June, Ed Lubowicki is back for Part 2 of our conversation. If you missed Part 1, be sure to go back and listen!
In this episode, we shift from research to personal journey. Ed shares his story as a Division I lacrosse player at Notre Dame, the pressure and discipline that shaped him, and the abrupt ending that left little space for reflection. We talk about what happens when athletes, and high performers, move forward without ever processing what shaped them.
This conversation explores identity beyond sport, the cost of ignoring the body’s signals, and why reflection isn’t something we “figure out later” — it’s a muscle we build.

This week on Journey to June, I sat down with Ed Lubowicki, a leadership coach, former Division I athlete, and someone who has spent years studying what really happens when high performers hit transition points. Not the glossy ones. The messy, identity-shaking ones.
After nearly a decade leading complex performance and people initiatives at Deloitte, Ed launched a private advisory practice to work with leaders, athletes, and teams navigating pressure, change, and the uncomfortable space between who they were and who they’re becoming.
Ed has interviewed nearly 400 individuals, from Olympians to youth coaches, exploring how mindset, identity, and accountability shape fulfillment and performance. He’s currently completing a Master’s in Organizational Dynamics at University of Pennsylvania, with a focus on athlete transition, leadership, and identity.
Ed doesn’t offer quick fixes. He offers presence, reflection, and the courage to stay in the work long enough to let it change you.
If you’re in a season of transition, or sensing one ahead, this episode is for you.

This week on Journey to June, I’m joined by Hattie Kaplan—a senior at Truckee High School, youth leader, and one of my youth coaching clients who continues to inspire me.
Hattie is the founder of Gains for Girls, a wellness and strength club created to help young women feel confident in their bodies and connected in community. After traveling to Tanzania and witnessing the realities of period poverty, she felt called to do more.
That calling became Miles That Matter—a student-led 5K and community festival supporting girls’ empowerment and menstrual health education. At just 17, Hattie organized the entire event herself, raising over $14,000 and supporting more than 700 girls through her partnership with CouldYou? Cup.
In this episode, we talk about courage, leadership, trusting your inner pull, and what’s possible when you stop waiting for permission and start listening to who you are.
This conversation is a reminder that purpose doesn’t have an age requirement.

On this week’s episode of Journey to June, I’m joined by my favorite co-host—my daughter, Josi June—for our third annual year-end reflection.
This has become one of our favorite traditions. A pause. A breath. A moment to look back before moving forward.
In this conversation, Josi reflects on her year—especially stepping into volleyball when she wasn’t confident, wasn’t experienced, and didn’t know how far it could go. We talk about what it feels like to be bad at something publicly… and what happens when effort, belief, and consistency begin to shift that story.
We also dive into choosing courage over comfort—whether that’s homeschooling, changing environments, starting something new, or walking away from what feels safe to listen to what’s calling you.
I share my own reflections on returning to Tahoe, building Live Your June in a deeper way, working with coaches who challenged me internally and externally, and hosting our first Mother–Daughter retreat—a moment that reminded me why this work matters and why it’s my responsibility to keep sharing it.
We close with intention:
What ceiling are you ready to break?
Who are you becoming in 2026?
And what might be possible if you stopped worrying about what others think?
Take a listen. Reflect alongside us. And ask yourself what your next version is asking for.

This was an episode that needed to happen.
In this conversation, I sit down with my dear friend and longtime sounding board, Christi Nix Bloomer—executive coach, former Big 4 consultant, and someone I’ve shared an ongoing, agenda-less call with for the last five years.
What started as a simple check-in turned into a powerful conversation about boundaries, people-pleasing, and learning to pause before saying yes. We talk about tuning into the body, honoring energy, and shifting from constant doing to asking a deeper question: Who am I becoming?
If you’ve been feeling stretched thin, disconnected, or exhausted by trying to do it all, this episode is an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and lead yourself from the inside out.

This week on Journey to June, I sat down with Dane Miklaus for a real and honest conversation about doing life differently.
Dane is the Founder of WORK Training Studios and the CEO and Founder of MacroManaged, an AI consulting agency helping business owners reclaim time and freedom. In this episode, we move beyond titles and into identity, leadership, and what it means to keep showing up when life gets hard.
We talk about fatherhood, grief, perspective, and the power of gratitude during seasons of loss and transition. Dane shares how awareness, language, and self-empathy have shaped the way he leads, parents, and lives with intention.
This episode is a reminder that we don’t know what others are carrying—and that kindness, presence, and perspective matter more than we think.

In this week's Journey to June episode, I sat down with former U.S. Olympian and dual-sport All-American Erin Aldrich-Shean, whose journey is a powerful example of what it means to rise, reinvent, and tell the truth about your own story. Erin shares how a childhood dream led her to the Olympic stage, how the transition out of sport became the hardest chapter of her life, and how she rebuilt her identity one decision at a time.
She also opens up about the complicated relationship with a former coach that shaped years of her early career—and the courage it took, nearly two decades later, to finally speak up. Her healing, paired with her grit, now fuels the work she does as an executive and career coach helping people navigate transitions with clarity and confidence.

This week on Journey to June, I sat down with Jamey Cummings— Senior Partner at JM Search, former U.S. Navy SEAL Officer, and someone I instantly connected with the first night we met through The Post community.
Jamey has spent nearly 20 years helping companies build world-class leadership teams… but the roots of his leadership style started long before the boardroom. From growing up in small-town Iowa with high standards and a coach-dad, to wrestling at the Naval Academy, to surviving BUD/S and serving nine years as a SEAL, Jamey’s story is a masterclass in discipline, humility, and servant leadership.
What struck me most about this conversation is the balance Jamey holds: disciplined and driven… yet deeply thoughtful, humble, and committed to growing. His story is such a powerful reminder that leadership isn’t about being the loudest voice in the room—it’s about clarity, service, and the courage to keep evolving.
If you are a parent, a founder, a coach, or someone trying to raise the bar for yourself and others, this episode will hit home.

This week on Journey to June, we're back with our mother-daughter mini-series! This one comes to you straight from the chaos of real life— tired, a little cranky, Christmas lights half-hung, cousins in town, and both of us trying to get it together the night before Thanksgiving. It's real, it's raw, it's life.
In this episode, we catch you up on the last month and a half — volleyball nerves, open mics, homeschooling, our first mother–daughter retreat, and the real behind-the-scenes moments that don’t usually make the podcast.
This episode is imperfect, honest, funny, tender, and full of gratitude — exactly how the night before Thanksgiving usually feels.
We’re grateful for you, this community, and the way you show up for this journey with us!
Happy Thanksgiving 🍁💛

This week on Journey to June, I sat down with Dr. Maureen “Moe” Gibbons — physician, entrepreneur, and author of Freedom to SHIFT.
In this conversation, we go deep into something so many high achievers silently carry: overload — the mental ticker tape that never stops. Dr. Mo shares her powerful turning point, the moment her bandwidth opened, and how it sparked the movement she’s building today.
We also talk about the messy middle of entrepreneurship, losing friends, building the wrong team, learning leadership the hard way, and why “allow” is her word for 2026.

This week, we’re revisiting a conversation that changed countless lives back in 2020, and remains even more relevant today.
During the height of the pandemic, I sat down with my friend and scientist Dr. John Sottery for a raw, practical, deeply empowering conversation about sleep, immunity, stress, and the fundamentals of health we can control when the world feels uncontrollable.
This was recorded during lockdown, when we were all navigating fear, uncertainty, and disruption, but the tools John shared are timeless. And with so many people stretched thin, exhausted, and trying to rebuild habits that support their energy… this episode is too good not to bring back.
Sleep is one of the Variables I teach at Live Your June—the fundamental basics that change everything: mindset, mood, energy, confidence, performance, and resilience.
If your child is struggling with fatigue, inconsistency, confidence, or overwhelm—it's rarely a mindset problem. It’s biology. It’s the missing Variables.

This week on Journey to June, I sat down with Katrina Vailes — fitness and wellness coach, mom of two, and the powerhouse behind The Glow Up Gang. Katrina’s story is one of reinvention, resilience, and rediscovering self-worth through discipline and grace.
We first met on a sunrise hike in Kelowna — she had driven nearly four hours in the dark with her kids just to be there. That’s Katrina in a nutshell: devoted, determined, and all in for growth.
In this episode, we dive into her journey from athlete to kinesiology graduate to single mom and entrepreneur. She opens up about the insecurities that once held her back, the defining moment that pushed her to finally step into her purpose, and the lessons she’s learned about motherhood, self-worth, and healing after divorce.

This week on Journey to June, I am once again joined by Josi June to kick off the New Year. As we enter a new year, it's natural to feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. It's a time for reflection, setting intentions, and embracing the possibilities that lie ahead. In this episode, we reflect on more lessons from 2023 and share our goals for 2024.
We also discuss a family tradition that holds deep meaning for us—the annual visit to the cemetery to honor the memory of my late father, Joe Jr. We reflect on the quote engraved on his bench, which reminds us of the importance of connecting with others and the impact we can have on their lives. We also explore the concept of carrying on someone's essence even without having known them personally. Josi, who never had the chance to meet her Grampy, shares her impressions of him based on stories and family anecdotes. His imprint lives on through her and everyone who knew him.
This is the core message of our podcast and the Live Your June movement. We believe that each individual has a unique essence and a responsibility to live authentically and share their spark with the world.

This week, I am joined by my wonderful sister-in-law, Tracy Poscillico. Tracy is a mom of five and currently living an unconventional lifestyle: her family lives in both the U.S. and Brazil throughout the year. Living in between countries, her kids are being raised to be bilingual, culturally aware, adaptable, and—perhaps most importantly—comfortable with discomfort. It’s not easy to go against the grain, but Tracy and her family are able to take it in stride with the support of the memory of their baby girl Whitney, who passed away from a rare form of pediatric cancer at only a year old. The importance of making a positive impact and being okay with the abnormal are lessons Tracy and I have learned from Whitney, who lived her life full of smiles and continues to touch people’s lives in many ways. The Whit Whit Walk, an annual walk established by Tracy and her family that fundraises for and spreads awareness of pediatric cancer, is one of the ways Whitney has left her mark. Another way is through the pediatric cancer research Tracy is involved in, which is making an astonishing effort to prevent childhood cancer from cutting other lives short. In this episode, we talk about dealing with difficult situations, walking the harder path, and living true to yourself, even if your truth is abnormal.

This week, I spoke to the wonderful Rhona Bowles Kamar, who is the executive director of Feed Louisville. What started as a small pandemic exercise, Feed Louisville has now turned into an impressive campaign that has partnered with almost 16 restaurants to provide meals to thousands of people who need them. Though she is a chef by qualification, Rhona now thrives in the work that she does in solidarity with the community (it is not a charity). And I agree. When Rhona talks about what the organization has accomplished in its 3 years, you only see humanity and solidarity.
I met Rhona in 2017, when she was going through a really difficult time in her life. In this episode, Rhona and I talk about her journey from the woman I met back in 2017, to the woman she is today – a true Soulstigator in every sense of the word.

This week, on Journey to June, I spoke to our longtime family friend and Tony Award-winning Broadway Producer, Kathleen “Kit” Seidel. I have known Kit for so long, but her story of resilience, being a late bloomer, getting sober, starting over and her journey to discovering her passion, absolutely blows my mind. From taking that first leap of faith and moving to New York, to making that decision to not drink another drop of alcohol.
Kathleen “Kit” Seidel is a former community activist and two-time Tony Award winning Producer behind a lot of Al Pacino’s work on Broadway, Beautiful: The Carol King Story and Hair. She is a recovering alcoholic, who celebrated 36 years of sobriety in May this year. She is also the Executive Producer of The Warm Season (2023), which is directed by her son, Adam Seidel. The movie is currently being shown at film festivals, and has won the “Festival Director’s Award” at the 2023 Boston SciFi Film Festival and the “Best Cinematography Award” at the 2023 Santa Fe Film Festival. The film also received the ReFrame Stamp for Gender Balanced Production, for being inclusive before and behind the camera.

My guest this week is the born performer Elizabeth Brockwell, who loves everything about the performing arts just as much as she loves teaching it. As someone who has always loved performing, Elizabeth learned to overcome her struggles that come with not being a conventional performer, to pave her own path... that led her to her love for teaching. As someone who recognizes the struggles of being a unique performer, she distills all her years of experience for her students (like Josi) to benefit from, and helps them find their voice so that they can achieve their dreams. Today, Elizabeth is not just an acclaimed performance director and choreographer, she is also a well-loved mentor to her students.

In this week's episode, business owner and musicologist, Alice Cotter joins us (in the midst of a blizzard) to share her own journey to “Finding Meaning and Fulfillment Beyond The Job Market.” With her deep passion for learning and music, she created an opportunity for herself at the top university Princeton. She shares her experience of expectations, the pressures of pursuing the highest studies of music, and studying alongside some of the best in her field.
This is a conversation for pre-college, college students, post-college grads, and parents that will help you understand that there is not only one path you can take. Alice encourages us all to be open because all the little moments are leading us somewhere magical. In a music world where everyone thought she should go in one direction, she went with her own instinct and gave herself permission to live her life with creativity and imagination. Alice took a leap of faith and opened her own music school in the small town of Truckee in North Tahoe.
And how lucky we were to meet this lovely woman to teach Josi in an arena she loves so much, music. There is just something so magical about someone who is not only an incredible teacher in their craft, but also brings their incredible light to the experience. Once I knew my podcast was in the works, I knew I had to have her on to dig deeper into her journey, work, and wisdom. Alice reminds us all, “We don't need others' permission to live a life with creativity and imagination.”

This week's conversation is with Shannon Sedlacek, a coach who shares her incredible journey of the golden threads of her life pivots. Shannon began as an extreme athlete who thrived on competition and challenge to be her very best. She found that same thrill in the courtroom as a litigation attorney. Yet, after seven years of an amazing-looking life on the outside, being financially free and engaged to her fiancé, she realized that her inner voice was whispering something else in her ear. Sometimes, the life you worked so hard for and pictured isn't always the feeling you thought you were looking for. After injuring herself falling off a ladder, Shannon found herself at a crossroads.
In this episode, she shares the story of her clean slate, quitting her career, letting go of her fiancé, and stating that she might be gay, all in one moment. The ladder actually became her next step in a very male-dominant arena where she became the first woman lieutenant firefighter in their station. Both the court and ladder taught her skills that enable her to be the incredible coach that she is. She walks the walk and is a pure example of what it means to be a Soulstigator. You won't want to miss this one. The wisdom from life play to slowing down in her cave to recover and finding her answers is just a bit of wisdom from this amazing woman making her mark.
After the conversation, like most of my conversations with Shannon, I take a good look at what I am resisting and where I can put a little more cave time in to dig deeper into what is speaking to me. Listen and you will experience the same.

This week’s conversation is with Ben Van Treese, elite water skier, avid rock climber, passionate outdoorsman, and elite fitness trainer.
He is always pushing his edge in the mountains and has a deep passion for shifting how people train and view strength.
We discuss the importance of longevity as an athlete and why it's important to train with someone who understands where the client is in their journey of fitness and aging.
His refreshing approach to training ageless athletes rests on three principles: 1. Evidence-Based Training 2. Train to Last, Not to Break 3. Advertage at every age
I love his philosophy around training and truly who he is as an individual. He leads with his whole heart.
Ben, in his chill way, is paving a path for those who want to play for years beyond.---- Join the Soulstigator Movement!

This week, we are honored and humbled to share a very special episode featuring a remarkable woman, Eileen Rosenthal.
Eileen is a life time educator with deep knowledge that she has gathered throughout her 81 years on this planet, or as she says, her “81 revolutions around the sun.” At a young age, Eileen was an only child and felt very alone, yet she was extremely driven to fill her emptiness. In time, Eileen learned from reading stories and being part of communities where she began to imagine what was possible for her.
60 years of marriage, she has dedicated her life to her family and now passionately and intentionally shares her wisdom with her grandkids. “Exposure is our responsibility as grandparents.”
I love learning from older generations and seeing the world throw their eyes and Eileen is no different. It’s amazing that I met this beautiful human just months ago, but have learned quickly about her fascinating story and how she sees the world. Her lively, authentic perspective on relationships and life is one I cherish and hope you do too.
Eileen's insight and wisdom is worth a listen. “LIVE THE QUESTION. The answer will show up.” ---- Join the Soulstigator Movement! Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/liveyourjune/

Our first interview is with Golf Hall of Fame legend Betsy King! She is a class act who is just as good off the course than she is on it.
Betsy devoted decades of her life to become one of the best women golfers of all time, winning 34 LPGA tours and 6 majors. If you’re a part of the Live Your June community, you know I’m obsessed with learning how the best in their arena did it, so I wanted to dive deeper into how Betsy's golf journey started and evolved.
In this conversation, we begin by getting a clearer picture of what it was like for Betsy in her younger years playing golf. She tells me about how she was on her own for the most part and had to learn to be self motivated, which is much different than it is today. We talk about how she found her love for golf, how she navigated the challenges in her pursuit to be a pro golfer, and what kind of legacy she'd like to leave behind. Learn more about the person behind the athlete, what calmed her down during times of chaos, her guiding principles, and everything she learned on her Journey to June.
