So I recorded the whole process of drawing a mandarin using colored pencils just to see if I can have a career of recording video processes hahaha but I failed badly. First I have an arm/stand that I mounted on the table but I wasn't able to mount it properly because it's a clip-on and there isn't much space at the edge of the table to clip onto just because there's a metal bar that holds it.. So the arm that holds my phone is very wobbly.
I didn't know the table shaking was too noticeable in the video until I was half-way so I ended up changing the angles and the mounting as well, but still wobbles a lot for some reason. Whatever, I just finished the video and drawing anyway.
In the video you can see the changes in angles lol so that was one of the problems.
Another problem that I had was the video-editing. Everything was smooth until the export part. For some reason the color changed A LOT when exporting and I tried a lot of solutions I found on Youtube but they didn't work. So I had to re-do all the color adjustments on the video just so I can export it properly. I've never experienced this problem before but it might be because I used iPhone to film this and I usually use a camera for videos. Besides, it's been years already since I've done any video recording + editing in Premiere Pro so I kinda forgot a lot of things.
At the same time drawing while recording is so annoying anyway. I didn't even have a proper lighting to begin with and I was just relying on the window light lol. So yeah... I guess I'll just stick to photo process with my traditional drawings and stuff and just do a recording with my digital paintings as they're easier. :P

Ever since getting my iPad, I started doing digital planners using the Goodnotes 5 app. I've been watching some videos about it too and I really find it therapeutic hearing the writing sounds, especially the ipads with a paper-like screen protector or any matte protectors. It gives the ipad some friction so you'll be able to write as if you're writing on a paper and not on a glass/screen.
I decided to give recording a try and it's also like an ASMR thing (although the mic is not as sensitive) but yeah in the video you will hear how it sounds like with a paper-like (not the brand) protector. It really sounds like paper haha.
Also the planner template was bought on Etsy. All you had to do was import the template on Goodnotes 5 and you're good to go!
Anyway I hope you find this video relaxing as how I find it to be. Of course the ones I wrote on the schedule aren't actually 100% followed hahah but it made me remember them easily so I don't forget them for the rest of the week.

White nails are always my go-to when I want to feel luxurious. Even just some solid white nails make me feel pure. Haha. This time though, I used some glitters and the rhinestones that I have and the result was showing some goddess vibes!
Process
I still used the nail tips/extensions like the recent ones. I find it really easy although with my recent experiment, it peels off fast. :/ I'm okay with it tho! Any designs that I like to be on my nails can be easily removed when I want to replace it and if I want to make it last longer, I will just use polygels. :D
I used a nail file to make the surface of that plastic rough so the base gel can grip in it stronger. I find this a crucial process since I've noticed in my previous ones that the fake nails get peeled off from the base gel and not the base gel peeling off from my natural nail.
After using the base gel as the "glue", I cured it and shaped/cut the nails the way I like. I can't wear too long nails at the moment.
Then comes the painting of the nails.
I used a holographic powder and smudged it on top of the white nail (left). It gave it another layer of some holographic shiny ''glitter''. On the right side, I then tapped some silver glitters on top of the middle nail finger. This silver is also holographic-ish so they look good together!
Here's a close up of the powder's effect on the white nail. It also has a different effect/look if you put it on top of a black nail but that's for another time.
I glued the rhinestones using the transparent gel but I believe you can also use some nail glue or something. I just like using gels to place them there cos you can still do some adjustments or move them around and they will be fine until you cure it under the UV light. It's so fun to put these stones there cos it feels like you're decorating jewelry haha.
After finishing the design, I then put a top coat on top of it.
Final look
The nails just looks so good with my moonstone ring! 😍
Do you like it?
Maybe I'll do a red-themed luxury nails next!

This is the timelapse video of Void. I used an old photo as a reference which can be seen here as well. Like I said in the other post, this was quite random and I had no plan with it beforehand. I like the process and the result. :D

Here's the time-lapse of the work "I Never Finish Anything". There were 4 figures and took me some time to finish them. xD
The sketching part was traced to the photograph that I have cos no point trying to sketch it freehand so it wasn't shown. The problem is that after the sketching, I thought I was recording but was too late to realize that I actually wasn't. So the video started after the coloring part. :/
And yeah before I paint anything, I also make studies and take a pic of my own reference and edit them together so I'll know how they'll look like once they are painted. That has been my process ever since I started serious paintings.
I hope you enjoy watching it even without music. :p

Here's the timelapse of The Unworthy. There's so much satisfaction with seeing your work come to life little by little. I mean, even in all timelapse in general and not just my work. It's more satisfying in digital tho cos you won't see any hands covering the work so it's very much clear.
It was fun making this while recording and I'm glad I can do both with ease!

This was one of the sessions in the art workshop last month. The workshop was supposed to have 8 sessions (3 sessions for dry media, 2 sessions for watercolor, 3 sessions for acrylic on canvas) but due to the COVID-19 crisis, the workshop had to be cut short. This was during the 5th session. @spintwister was the lead teacher for the workshop and I was the assistant. There were 6 kids and 2 adult students.
Music used is by Ross Bugden titled "Weightless". Awesome musician.

I recorded some clips when I painted doodles on my painting "We're Awake When You're Asleep" and so here it is! These are just random clips so they aren't planned and I just compiled them into one video. This might trigger the perfectionists though, or those easily annoyed because I used little medium for my paint, which means, the paint isn't runny. Most of the time they are dry, which was the effect that I was aiming for.
Background music: 'Bedtime Stories' by Ross Bugden. I came across his channel earlier when I was browsing for background music and I must say he is a young musical genius! He allows the use of his music for any purpose as long as they are credited. Amazing artist... really. Among the music artists that I find since 2013, I could say he's the best. Pretty coincidence that the title of his music that I used in this video is about sleep - which was the concept of the painting as well. lol. Do check him out!

A time-lapse of this painting that I uploaded a month ago. I just realized I haven't uploaded the process yet. So...
The video is longer than usual because I didn't record it continuously. I guess no matter how long you record a time-lapse, iPhones automatically make it a 30-sec time-lapse. In this case, I just merged them all.

This is a quick painting study that I made on Procreate. This will be a major work that I will be doing in the next couple of weeks. I usually do lots of studies before painting the actual major works (in oil). For small works, I usually don't care much lol.

Time-lapse of Gumball painting. Lol the evolution of the gumball. From yellow with blue stripes to that. I kinda got pissed that's why I just made it look like it's dripping or something. I love the colors of this one tho! :D

The last painting from the Dream Series. This is my favorite from the series and I loved the process. You could tell by the details that I made here lol. I hope you enjoy seeing the process.

Time-lapse for this painting! This is my least favorite for the Dream series lol but the series won't be completed without it.
Bessie is my teddy bear that I bought in a mall before. He's always beside me in bed that's why he's a companion when I sleep.

Painting time-lapse for this one! I kinda slowed it down so you'll see what's happening unlike other videos where the videos are mostly 30 seconds lol. I need to figure out how to adjust them on iPhone soon instead of editing them manually in Premiere Pro. :p
Here's the result:

A time-lapse of my painting Sweet Dreams. A color palette I believe I haven't used before, and I like it. I'm enjoying the black and white version of me as well.
The finished piece:

A time-lapse for this painting. And yes, I still use that paper with dried paint as a palette. I don't want to use a wooden/plastic palette because I'm too lazy to clean up. So I just use disposables.
