In this solo episode, Terry reflects on the shifts that come with different seasons of life and how easily we can miss the quiet gifts that change brings when we’re holding too tightly to plans, expectations, or checklists. Through personal stories and gentle insight, she shares what it looks like to slow down, stay present, and listen to the inner voice that already knows what truly matters.
This conversation is an invitation to reconnect with your values, honor what brings you joy and energy, and trust that when something feels forced or out of alignment, it may simply not be the right timing. As we close out 2025 and look toward 2026, Terry offers a grounded reminder: clarity comes from stillness, purpose flows from values, and everything you’re seeking already lives within you.
In this episode, you’ll explore:

In this conversation, Terry and Debbie explore why so many midlife women live like they’re “being chased by a bear”—constantly proving, performing, and pushing—and how somatic practices can gently teach the body it’s safe again. You’ll learn practical ways to calm the amygdala, reconnect with your feminine receiving energy, and move from overthinking to embodied wisdom so you can feel whole, loved, and present.
Key takeaways:
Simple practices mentioned:
Most midlife women—knowingly or unknowingly—have lived in survival mode for decades. The constant pushing, proving, and carrying everything for everyone else takes its toll. Over time, these patterns of responsibility and unprocessed trauma become stored in the body, leaving us exhausted, overwhelmed, and disconnected from who we truly are.
As a somatic healer, Debbie helps midlife women reconnect with their bodies and gently release what no longer serves them—creating space to expand into more: more love, joy, health, freedom, and abundance.
Her signature program, The Body Awakening, guides women through the first step out of survival mode and into embodied safety, self-awareness, and calm.

Great Quotes:
(00:03:40) It usually has to do with remembering and coming home to our soul, who we always were and who we were always meant to be.
(00:09:07) It's not that I'm going to agree with what happened, but that way I get my power back, I get my soul, my life force back fully. And you're right, it's not going to affect this other person by not forgiving. Yes, but it gives me all my life force back to where I can now use that to move forward and learn from whatever happened. And that's the reason to do it.
(00:11:17) Feel it. Feel it so deeply. And it just hurts and hurts and hurts. Because if you're fully feeling it, you can be dealing with it. Don't cheat that it's. Feel, deal to heal.
(00:19:18) Be love, serve love, make a difference.

Communication is the key to building meaningful relationships, and it's something we all want to be better at. But how do we become great communicators? Noreen Daley, Chair of the Department of Communication Studies at Northern Caribbean University, has been in the area of communication for 20 years and shares her three steps to improving connections.
Firstly, be comfortable in your own skin. Embrace who you are and be confident in your abilities. When you are comfortable with yourself, you are more likely to be authentic and genuine when communicating with others.
Secondly, always be willing to grow. Communication is a skill that can always be improved upon, so be open to learning and growing. Seek out opportunities to develop your communication skills, such as taking courses or attending workshops.
Lastly, be open to constructive criticism. We all have blind spots when it comes to our communication, and having people in our lives who can provide honest feedback is crucial. Be open to criticism and use it as an opportunity to improve.
Noreen's passion for communication stems from her father's encouragement to speak up and be comfortable being herself. She sees communication as her life's calling and believes that it is integral to empowering young people. Daly also shares her podcast, "Making it Last," where she discusses various topics related to communication. As a communication coach, she offers one-on-one coaching in both oral and written communication.
So, if you want to become a better communicator, remember to be comfortable in your own skin, always be willing to grow, and be open to constructive criticism. And don't forget to be kinder to yourself and others, as it can make the world a better place.

About Amy Jordan:
Amy is an award-winning author, keynote speaker, fitness expert, and choreographer. She was a dancer and her dream was to dance professionally and tour the world and even be a rockstar (except she can’t sing). She also has had type 1 diabetes since the age of 4. Compounded by an eating disorder that caused her to become legally blind at age 21 where she had to stop driving. Unfortunately, her dance career stopped before it started.
At 39, the unimaginable happened. She was crossing the street in New York City and was hit and run over by a New York City express bus. Amy was literally hit by a bus, pinned under the tire and her right leg was crushed, and nearly amputated. 20 surgeries later it has been rebuilt and she was told she may never walk again. While pinned under that bus tire, Amy made a determination in her own heart. “If I survive the night, there will be a Victory Dance.”
On June 15, 2017, Amy literally danced again onstage with her professional company The Victory Dance Project and now has an award-winning book ‘Dance Because You Can.’ She is even more grateful her journey back to the stage has become an Internationally Acclaimed Documentary Feature film.
Amy was raised in West Palm Beach, FL. She is also the Founder and Artistic Director of The Victory Dance Project, a professional dance company on a mission to ‘Make the Impossible Possible with the Power of Movement’.

How would humanizing business and igniting human potential change the world? Lonnie Mayne knows how to unlock that kind of potential! He's the author of the book "Red Shoes Living". Discover how bringing everyone to the table, holding others accountable to the best versions of themselves, and treating every interaction as an opportunity will have you standing out like a pair of red shoes. Kindness and respect can lift us all toward better outcomes. Ignite YOUR human potential!
About Lonnie Mayne:
"When I was just a kid, I remember hearing the cheers for my pro-wrestling dad rise from the stands. But every time he stepped out of the ring, he’d shake off his Moondog Mayne persona to connect with his fans on a human level. That has always stuck with me.
After he passed away, I spent my summers traveling with my uncle who was a CEO “turnaround guy” and my personal business mentor. I sat in meetings with him and watched him get the best out of others by treating them like people first and employees or customers second.
Over the last few decades, I’ve been a technology executive and before that an executive navigating mergers and acquisitions. During the most challenging times, I have often asked myself: “How can I turn this noise down and develop the full potential of our people and our organization?”
I knew there had to be a more respectful way to have tough conversations, handle company changes, and build team trust and resilience. A more inspired way to get others showing up every day, feeling excited to get to work. A more personalized way to serve our customers and stand out from our competitors...
And I also knew where these changes would have to start: Not with the company, but with the leaders building and inspiring our company culture."

You may have recently seen her in the new Lume deodorant commercial. ( You can talk to her about that later if you’re comfortable talking about washing certain body parts)
Molly finds a way to authentically combine her delightfully quirky sense of humor and performing skills with her tragic story in order to bring heart and humor to every television appearance, keynote speech, or podcast episode.
You can find Molly running, biking, hiking, or skiing the amazing trails in Park City, UT where she has lived for 18 years. She is married to Vic Jackson, an attorney who puts up with her crazy antics as is the mother to three insanely powerful tiny humans.

My interview with podcaster, entrepreneur, Executive Lucie Quigley will help you identify how to find and use your courage, especially during the darkest days of your life. Her story to open up the conversation to make people feel inclusive started with her journey back in 2017.
Lucie was going through a dark time, feeling alone and lost, hitting rock bottom. She didn’t want to give up on herself, so she asked the universe to give her one thing that would pull her out of this dark place. The answer was simple but profound. She started journaling that day and every day since. It led to small changes; each change gave her the courage to take the next step, and the rollercoaster podcast was born.
Lucie describes courage as something that changes over time. You might see it as a weakness in you and courage in others. At first, it feels uncomfortable and fearful. Each time you step out of your comfort zone, you begin to get used to it and find the courage to do it again. She explains that not every courageous step works out, but it does create resilience. Her latest project is the Necture Growth Network. A platform for personal growth & development. There is no charge to join and connect to thought leaders and seekers of personal growth.
About Lucie:
Transcending personal crises fueled Lucie's desire to connect with and empower other women - a passion she pursues as host of The Roller Coaster podcast, and founder of Necture Growth Network, a revolutionary platform for personal growth and development. Lucie lives in Nova Scotia with her husband Jeff with whom she has two adult sons, Liam and Ethan.
