Summit Murray, TNE writer, sits down with Taylor Pratt, associate director of the Baptist Collegiate Ministries, and Peyton Pratt, frequent teacher and one-on-one discipler in the organization, to talk about the upcoming Slime Fest and Lipscomb Legacy Scholarship. The Slime Fest is a fundraising event that raises money for the Lipscomb Legacy Scholarship, which is received by one student per year.
The Lipscomb Legacy Scholarship honors the late Deb Lipscomb, wife of the former director of the BCM, Bob Lipscomb. The Lipscombs were passionate about enabling students to go on overseas missions, so the scholarship is aimed toward that goal.

Kelten Weaver, TNE advertising manager, sits down with Melanie Giang, American Indigenous Business Leaders president, and Leighton Bearpaw, AIBL vice president, to discuss opportunities through indigenous connections. Along with an open-minded atmosphere, AIBL members work to encourage support throughout the uncertainty and challenges of college.
AIBL also provides an environment of learning alongside networking for members on and off campus. Both Giang and Bearpaw are currently working on building connections to introduce and encourage support to local indigenous youth.

Peyton Hudson sits down with Daniel Stout, Broken Arrow senior and star of the upcoming NSU Theatre production of “The Aliens,”to talk about the show, Daniel’s thoughts on performing and more.
Stout plays KJ, a burnt-out musician discussing music and poetry with his friend Jasper. The Aliens is written by Annie Baker and directed by Scott Pursley, associate professor and technical director of the NSU Theatre program.

The Talon has recently closed submissions for the semester. On its seventh year of publication, the students in charge of the Talon work diligently to market, edit and create the next issue.
Thomas is part of the current publication class and is in charge of marketing. Murphy heads the publication class and assists students in the process of their first journal.
