Sisters Rebecca and Catherine Dixon founded Rebcat Creations in 2020. While they have a legacy of musical theatre dating back to the late '80s, they wholeheartedly embrace the freedom and democracy that comes with digital technology. We hope you enjoy listening and let us know what you think.

Rudderless is a monologue written by Scott Davenport, read by Philip Rainford and produced by Rebcat Creations.
In this moving monologue, we follow Robert, a disenchanted office worker who feels lost and adrift in a sea of people.
He seeks a treasure island that promises happiness but is constantly knocked off course by unexpected obstacles and setbacks.
Despite this, he tries to keep going but eventually finds himself drowning in the vortex of his job. With job loss, he feels like his ship has broken apart, but he manages to find his rudder and steer himself towards a safe port.
It is a powerful metaphor for many's daily struggles in search of life direction and the importance of resilience, perseverance, and hope.

Children often hear words that adults use, and don't really understand what they mean and need to use their intuition and skills of observation.
Take Daniel, who is the hero of this short story a curious boy who wonders how he will manage to persuade his busy parents to get him a pet.
under the age of ten.
Written and narrated by Rebecca Dixon, she draws on her deep experience of teaching young children and fully understands how children learn from metaphors and the stories they hear.

NEWSWORTHY AUDIO STORY
Newsworthy is a new audio story series from Rebcat Creations written over Spring Summer 2022 and rehearsed and recorded in January and February of 2022. It involves 15 actors and a backstage crew of 4. The story series was written, rehearsed and recorded online with an international cast across several continents. It is Rebcat Creation's most ambitious project to date.
Newsworthy is a story about media wars, relationships, careers and life choices in a post-modernist world, set in contemporary London. The main characters from each news channel are ambitious to get their voices heard and win the hearts and minds of the great British public.
One channel represents innovative, grassroots investigative journalism. The other channel, equipped with big budgets and slick production values, focuses on boosting ratings with a news-lite, entertainment-centric approach. Which one wins?
The story explores universal themes of enthusiasm and cynicism, new careers and job loss, youth and ageing, loyalty and betrayal, plain-speaking and obfuscation, friendships and false friends - all with a light hearted, comedic tone.
