Richard and Jon Adams are genuine legends at Leamington FC. The two played many many games and scored a load of goals. They are both utter barnpots and in an interview recorded last year during deepest darkest COVID we have finally managed to pluck out over an hour of useable content. The remaining content has been disposed of safely in the appropriate containers. Join Vince and Pete for an hour or so of fun.

Recorded around the new year, deep into lockdown, Vince and Pete caught up with The Brakes Scout Luke Fogarty.

Luke has some great stories from his time involved in football from a youth at Aston Villa, via the armed forces to becoming good friends with Paul Holleran.

Also Pete endulges himself on his beloved Wimbledon as Luke's father was part of the Wimbledon FC setup in the 80s with Dave Bassett.

Enjoy.

On the 1st July 2021 the Brakes Trust had a meeting and Graham Moody of the Leamington FC board dropped in to answer some questions with regards to the new season, membership and ticketing queries and a number of other topics. The attendance was good and lots of questions were asked. Heres a tidied up and edited account and we apologise on behalf of everyone's favourite PA - Graham Hobbins - for any coughing I couldn’t edit out (i got most of it). He has now learned of what a mute button does.

Shaun Cashmore and Matt Delaney have been providing the commentary on Leamington FC games for a while now and have been the voice through the pandemic for fans who could only watch on streaming. Pete tries to hold back on finding out that Matt has MKfranchise roots, Vince holds them apart.. oh my, it all kicks off, blood everywhere, its a shocker.

This was recorded with the season still in full swing: yes, we have been a little lazy getting these out.

Recorded in lockdown 1, we finally got around to editing the James 'Jimmy' Husband interview. We are blaming our COVID jabs which made us a little bit barmy, Baz turned into what doctors are describing as a human grapefruit, Steve Wharton started to eat his tupperware collection, Vince was last seen running into Crackley woods shouting about 'those darned shrews' and Peter ingested a family of nearby owls. Paul was unavailable for comment.

Anyways, we are all okay now so sit back in the wingback, kick off the vans, twizzle some treacle over your favourite tart and enjoy this latest episode. We have some more interviews coming soon.

Nick Leek and Scott Hanna join Pete and Vince to talk about their roles as Leamington FC Media Camera persons. With the anniversay of The New Windmill Ground not seeing any supporters, these lads have been crucial in bringing visuals for the quarantined masses to enjoy. Hear their dramatic stories on this award winning* podcast.

*technically we awarded ourselves an award with a nice chocolate cake and a heavy bottled stout.

Its almost the end of a tough year, so the BrakesCast Corporation's many many employees thought it would be nice to give you a little treat. The first Jason Cadden interview possibly in 10 years.

Sit back into that armchair, find yourself some eggnog, put on a jaunty hat and place it at a fun angle on your noggin, unleash the wolverine into the garden and take in some great memories of the past at the New Windmill Ground.

Richard Edy, the Secretary of Leamington FC, joins Steve 'Geordie' Wharton and Baz 'Baz Facts' Gill to talk all sorts of stuff. Weirdly the guys avoid any questions about those olden days when we met Richard's childhood sweethearts Gillingham FC in the cup and barely make reference out of Spurs's inevitable forthcoming collapse.

Listen intently as Richard reveals the dark secrets of the club: what pants does Hollers really wear, is Jim Scott actually Scottish and is Debbie's sweet hut really a front for international gun running.

Adam Knight, of the Round Table, takes time out of his honorable quests of the Grail to drop in and talk good times with Vince Merlin Taylor, and Barry Guinevere Gill.

Steve and Pete are nowhere to be seen, possibly being chased away by the Jabberwocky.

You thought we'd all run off and joined the circus, well.. technically that was true but we decided that due to circuses having no animals; Bazza, Vince and Steve dressing up as a balancing penguin act was no longer the fun they had envisioned. Paul was largely unhappy in his new role as a firebreathing Gnu and Pete kept falling off the trapeze pretending to be a chimp.

It's goal machine Mr. Luke Corbett this episode. Pull the drapes all the way down, visit the fridge for a cold lemon, light up your hookah pipe and enjoy an hour of reminiscing with Worcester's finest.

WE HAVE FIXTURES. It may be happening, people.. football is possibly back soon. We might actually be allowed to play football in the National League North, despite everyone else on the planet being allowed to do so, us elite non-league types have been kept back as we are elite.. ELITE. YES. When Jack Edwards boots the ball straight off the pitch trying to emulate his hero Zidane, that's ELITE football.

Join the male identifying humans - Pete, Baz, Vince and Steve to hear them chew the information cud on our opponents in October and allow your senses to endure the topical seasoning of our 'expertise'.

Captain Jack Edwards is our latest interview on the BrakesCast. Listen to his tales of glory, his recollections of epicness and that's just his dad and grandad.

Pull back the pouffe from under the coffee table, place the kazoo to one side for now and keep it away from your pet ocelot, grab a cheap can of sainsburys lager from the fridge and settle back for some further ear delectations.

Is there a new football season in sight, maybe. Just maybe.

With new signings picking up we catch up with our official Goalkeeper Jake 'the cat in his email' Weaver. And Simeon Maye who is speaking with us from quarantine after a quiet trip abroad to a well known spanish destination that might sound like a SEAT.

Add to that the usual update stuff from the club. It's a packed action-tastic episode.

Courtney Romello Baker-Richardson joins the lads for a nice long chat about his explosive time at Leamington, and his career before and after the Brakes where he eventually departed to sign a professional contract for Swansea City for three seasons.

Grab your BBQ, cook up some lovely sausages, fill your flagon with the finest Warwickshire Ale, move the cat to a safe position.. then pump up the stereo and sit back for some fun tales, saucy language and great memories.

Marc Weissenberger joins Steve and Baz to talk all things Leamington FC and some of his favourite musical numbers. Marc gives us his favourite game by mentioning 5 of them and of course justifies the reason for his public exposure at Woodford.

Sit back with a mug of chopped olives, pull the spiders from your hair and caress a nearby pigeon for 30 minutes of good old fashioned chat and trying to understand what Steve is actually saying. No subtitles available.

Paul Edwards is still missing, and we sent Steve Wharton out to find him but now sadly all contact with both has been lost. Likely the pair are trapped in some Boris Johnson lockdown hellscape near Hinckley.

Never mind, BrakesCast listeners - Pete Davis, Baz Gill and Vincent Pennyworth Taylor have been having a chat about a few things: The Leamington FC 'Boost Your Club' fundraiser, new Stands, an FSA survey and.. okay, it doesn't sound enthralling does it.. but maybe an exclusive interview with our new signing Mr. Lance Smith could cheer up the mood.

The hosts (minus Paul, who was attending a very sensitive meeting about being let out of Leicester (where we think he lives) because he left his house to buy a multipack of Caramel Wafers, got caught by the police and is now in LOCKDOWN) are having a chat about all things Leamington FC: news, ground updates and any stuff we can find to talk about. Especially signings, which we believe is now at 2. A striker and a defender. The defender, Kyle Morrison joins us for a quick chat about signing for the Brakes this summer. Will we ever get to see him play? Who knows.

The legend of all legends. The only Brakes player since 2000 to get a testimonial. The man who scored our first goal. He invented the iPhone, the Ferrari, the pot plant at homebase. He's untouchable in the feats of incredulity that we may or may not have just made up.

Its Josh Blake.

Left back, mainly, but occasionally played up front for us and scored 187 goals in 405 appearances.

Listen to the many tales and appreciate the legend that was - that is.

A long time ago in a part of Royal Leamington Spa not so far away, David Hucker stepped through the hallowed entrance of the Windmill Ground and his name was etched onto some shares, and he had a fundamental effect on the history of Leamington FC.

Feed the pets, remove your favourite cuban from the humidor, put on a comfortable pair of slacks, kick off the slippers and listen up. This is history.

"He swears when he wants, he swears when he wants..." he also talks when he wants, and he talks for a long time! We had to hack this one up in the editing, but we think it's an absolute belter. Liam tells some utterly brilliant stories and was a delight to talk to.

Sit back, grab a beaker of your favourite juice, maybe don your smoking jacket, recline into your Chesterfield sofa and take it all in. Then do it all again.

He was working as waitress in a Cocktail bar, but still had time to speak to the Brakes cast crew. He’s still not very good at Darts and lives next to daredevil Motorcyclist.

It's the second Desert Island Brakes Discs episode with Andrew Calcutt 'aka' Boris.

Another Leamington FC legend from back-in-the-day joins us on the Brakes Cast to talk butchery, going on holiday at the wrong time, playing sunday football when he shouldn't and all sorts of other chicanery.

For those youngsters listening, Baz Shearsby was a midfielder and occasional goalkeeper who added a silky touch to our play before we even had a set of floodlights. Local lad who lived the dream.

Thanks to everyone who has downloaded episodes of the podcast, we are glad you are enjoying it.

Welcome to Episode 4 of the Brakes Cast. Yes, we've made it this far!

Joining us this week is another legend of the New Windmill Ground, none other than Richard Batchelor himself. The hard working, tough tackling, goal scoring midfielder. Not yet departed for good, you never know when he might be back again.

Welcome to the 2nd episode of The Brakes Cast. An unofficial production and completely unaffiliated to anything official of Leamington Football Club. However, we are just humble fans of the Brakes and thought it be fun to start a podcast talking about the last 20 years since restarting in the year 2000.

In this Brakescast we catch up with Joe Magunda who had to leave the finery of Royal Leamington Spa and learn all about football for Leicester City and England before fulfilling his destiny at the Brakes - before we booted him out.. we love him dearly.

This first episode we catch up with Jonny Burgess and reminisce about that first game, his career amongst all sorts of football fun.
