In the third episode of our second season on Back Passt X Balestier Khalsa, we interview Balestier's latest foreign signings, Fabian Kwok & Mukundan Maran.

We start with an ice-breaker for both players. This week marks the return of co-host, Resident Young Man, Kelvinpal and we are joined in the show by a Japanese guest, Kimiya Shibazaki and Pathma Raj from the Jom United podcast.

In the first part, we find out from Shibazaki the reaction of the Japanese public to Japan's first-ever qualification to the 1998 World Cup and then four years, what the build-up was like and the attention the Japanese national team got from the public leading to the 2002 World Cup which they hosted.

This week we speak to a member of the Balestier Khalsa Women's team, Syafiqah Peer who was recently called up for the Singapore National Women's Team and the head coach of the Balestier Khalsa Women's team and the assistant coach of the Singapore National Women's Team, Ratna Suffian.

This week we speak to three players that were called up for the senior (Ho Wai Loon) and U21 (Aidil Johari & Ryan Praveen) Singapore national teams during the recent international break in September 2022.

We first find out about their reaction to being called up for the national team. In the case of Wai Loon, it was his first call-up since 2018 so we find out what the differences were between then and now and if he found any familiar faces from back then. In the case of Aidil and Ryan, we find out how they settled into the squad and what the takeaway is for all three players from their international duty.

Next, we look forward to the game this Sunday against Lion City Sailors and we ask Wai Loon, after his experience with the national team dominated by Sailors players, how much are they looking forward to facing them. We ask Ryan on what he thinks he needs to do to break into the starting 11. We ask Aidil if the current head coach would give young players more chances to play after seeing players like him make the breakthrough in the first team this season.

We ask Wai Loon as one of the team captains and best players in the team how he plans to motivate the team going into the final stretch of the games this season and we jokingly asked if he picked out any weakness of his national team-mates playing for Sailors to pass on to his head coach.

This week we speak to members of the Balestier Khalsa FC's e-sports team, Yaseer Ismail, Muhd Syakir "Kun" and Phirkhan. 

We start by reflecting on "Kun"'s experience in the SEA Games, catching up on what Phirkhan has been up to in e-sports since we last spoke to him and asking Yaseer what is upcoming for the Balestier Khalsa e-sports team.
