Domantis Sabonis Returns to Indiana Sabonis was back in town, and it was a bittersweet moment for Pacers fans. He was a fan favorite in Indiana, but he was traded for Tyrese Halliburton who has been a great addition to the team. Despite the trade, it was great to see Sabonis back in Indiana.
Battle of the Centers: Myles Turner vs Domantis Sabonis In this game, we saw a battle of the centers between Myles Turner and Sabonis. Both players showed why they were worth their contracts with impressive performances. Turner had 14 points, 13 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 steals, and 1 assist, while Sabonis had 15 points, 16 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal, and 6 assists. It was a great battle between two former teammates and we'll be keeping an eye on their future matchups.
Tyrese Halliburton Shines Tyrese Halliburton also had a great game with 10 points, 9 assists, and 3 steals. He had an impressive plus-18 on the plus/minus and continues to prove why he was worth the trade for Sabonis.
Good Officiating The officials also had a good game, with the over and back call on Buddy Heild being overturned and a rookie move of an 8-second violation by Nimbhard. These calls helped keep the game close and exciting.
In conclusion, this game was a great display of what the Pacers are capable of. With several key contributors and a close, hard-fought battle, this win was just what the Pacers needed to break their losing streak. The Final Word: Recap of the Pacers vs Lakers Game
Hello and welcome to The Final Word, your one-stop source for all things related to the Pacers. I'm your host, Rahj, and today we'll be recapping the exciting 112-111 loss against the Lakers.
First of all, there were many takeaways from this game. One of the most dynamic plays of the night came from Isaiah Jackson, who put on an impressive display of athleticism with his put-back. Another player who got the crowd excited was Tyrese Haliburton, who showed off his flashy moves and quick thinking. Despite their best efforts, the Pacers ultimately fell short by just one point.
Speaking of Tyrese Haliburton, the rookie guard was on fire in this game. He scored 11 points in the first quarter and proved how much he was missed during his 12-game absence. Haliburton's presence in the lineup has a monumental impact on the Pacers. With him starting, the team's chemistry improves, and the second unit is elevated. He ended the game with a total of 26 points.
Myles Turner also had a strong performance in this game, shooting with confidence and determination. He looked like a completely different player, finally reaching the potential that fans have been hoping to see for years. Although he's not as physical as Domantas Sabonis, Turner can still mix it up and get dirty when he needs to. This will likely extend his career. Turner ended the game with 20 points.
The moment we've all been waiting for finally arrived as Daniel Theis made his debut with the Pacers. He was substituted in for Turner in the game, over Smith, Jackson, and Goga, which raises the question of how the other players feel about this decision. Despite the excitement surrounding his debut, Theis's performance was underwhelming. He scored 0 points and had the lowest plus/minus on the team with a score of -12, making one wonder if he should have received more playing time.
The future looks bright for the Pacers with Andrew Nimbhard and Benedict Mathurin named to the Rising Stars team, and Tyrese Halliburton named as an All-Star reserve. This shows the development and growth of the team, as last year Chris Duarte was the only Pacer involved in the All-Star Weekend.
One of the highlights of the game was the jump ball between TJ McConnell and Anthony Davis. The height difference between the two players was hilarious, with McConnell barely reaching 6 feet while Davis stands at 7 feet tall. Despite the difference, McConnell still had a good sense of humor about it and the look on his face was priceless.
The Pacers ended the game with a 12 of 22 performance from beyond the three-point line and a total of 67 points in the first half. Myles Turner had a great first half with 14 points and 9 rebounds, while the team had a field goal percentage of 59% and scored 15 fast break points.
Although the first half of the game was promising, the Lakers fought their way back into the game and ultimately secured the win. Despite the loss, Tyrese Haliburton continued to impress with his phenomenal passes. The Pacers organization and fan base are lucky to have him on their side.
The question remains, what does this Pacers team need to start winning games by a larger margin? Some fans have speculated a return of Paul George, and while he remains a favorite player for many, the team is still in need of answers.

I'm glad we have a player like this because I don't think we've ever had one as showy and entertaining to watch! Of all the Pacers this season, Mathurin has attempted the most free throws. He appears to be missing more rim finishes than I'd like to see, so I'd like to see him improve there. He and Tyrese appear to like working as a team very much. At halftime, Aaron Nesmith makes a layup at the buzzer! In the paint, Cleveland scored 38 points. Only 22 points by the Pacers in the paint. The Pacers were losing at the break. The Pacers would be foolish to deal Buddy Hield. Buddy made 5 out of 5 three-point attempts. The third quarter of the game results in the dismissal of Rick Carlyle. Cheap shots by Jaret Allen to the head with Chris Duarte. Myles Turner made some accurate and timely three-pointers. He has been playing with a lot more self-assurance and assurance. Things changed throughout the fourth quarter. Without the starters, it was awful. Jaret Allen was boozed up by Aaron Nesmith!
