Well hello! Yes it has been a while but we come back with an important episode surrounding men's mental health.
In this episode, I sit down with Richard who has kindly shared his story and experience with depression in the hope that we can bring more awareness to men's mental health.
The conversation is already starting to open up and I hope that by hearing Richard's story, more men will feel comfortable about opening up and sharing their own stories to combat this archetype that 'men don't share feelings' or 'men don't cry'.
If you enjoy this episode or relate to Richard's story, please share the podcast with someone who may also benefit and start your own conversation around mental health.

Oh my goodness the excitement is quite literally bursting out of me!! I can’t wait for you to listen to this episode with the beautiful Amani Fancy!!
Amani is an ex solo and pair figure skater, she is 2x British National Champion and has represented the United Kingdom in the Youth Olympics, European Championships and World Championships. She was also on Dancing on Ice Germany and won her second season! She has first class honours in Criminology and is now working for a company based in Washington DC as a business development manager! Do I need to go on? She is incredible and her story is even more amazing!
We sat down and discussed the highs and lows of a career in figure skating with all of its blessings as well as all the hardships that come with it! The full episode is split into 2 parts so this is part 2.
If you haven't listened to part 1 yet, I would recommend listening to that part before starting this one, because let me tell you, it’s juicy 👀
I think I can also speak for Amani when I say that we poured our hearts into this conversation and I hope that you learn something, take inspiration, motivation and you can be part of the change that needs to happen within the ice skating industry.
I hope you enjoy and please please share!😍

Welcome back gorgeous people.
This episode is one of my favourites because it is something that is quite fresh for me and the issue is so common and somewhat relatable.
Having said that, it could be triggering for some, so this is your official TRIGGER WARNING. This episode talks about body image, disordered eating, and my experience around how I viewed my body and how I thought about food, so if you are sensitive to this topic and you feel as though it might trigger you, don't listen to it.
Follow me on @crea.tingspace on instagram and we can have a chat about it instead!
If you did listen to it, I hope you enjoyed it and if you did, please rate and review this podcast, it would mean a lot to me. Share it with your friends too!

In this weeks episode, I sit down with the wonderful Mikayla Jai to talk about the Law of Attraction, Manifesting and raising your vibration. Mikayla is so sweet and knowledgable on this topic. I loved learning more about using to the law of attraction to achieve your goals and desires! Learning and putting the Law of Attraction into practice is something that everyone can try, even if you are not necessarily 'spiritual'. In this episode, you will learn about what the Law of Attraction is, how to manifest, and how to TRUST when you are in that 'in between' period where you have taken all the actions but you are waiting for the Universe to do its part! I hope you love this episode just as much as I do! If you did, please share with your friends, rate and review the podcast!

Here is another episode from the 'My story' series. In this episode, I talk about the physical struggles I experienced after I stopped figure skating and after my 'post athlete depression'. I explain in detail how one issue led to another and how I figured everything out. I find these episodes really important because when I was trying to research and find what was wrong with me, I would have definitely benefitted from an episode like this to shed light not only on what all these health issues could be, but also to demonstrate the consequences stress has on your body.
If you want to to listen to the other parts of my story from when I started skating, to when I stopped, check out the other episodes!
I hope this episode helps you in some way, if not only to get to know me better!

February's book: 'Why I am no longer talking to white people about race' by Reni Eddo-Lodge
I personally LOVED this book. It was so informative and interesting. I definitely learnt a lot and am so grateful that Reni didn't stop talking to white people about race.
In this episode I review the book and discuss the quotes and passages that I found powerful, interesting and poignant. I talk in particular about white people's ignorance, white privilege, and feminism. I would highly recommend this book!

In this episode, I sit down with the beautiful Haily Montgomery, an integrative nutrition health coach to talk about emotional eating, disordered eating and diets. We dug into why fast and restrictive diets are not the answer to weight loss and how they can even be harmful long term, for your body. Haily also explained how emotional eating isn't just about what you eat but also how you view yourself and what emotional state you are in. In this mini episode, I am reviewing my Book Club pick for January, "Be The Change" by the wonderful Gina Martin. Gina is a writer and activist who successfully campaigned to make upskirting illegal in England and Wales. Her book is a guide to becoming an activist and campaigning for change. Her book is very inspiring and definitely worth a read!
For February's Book Club pick, I have chosen "Why I am no longer talking to white people about race" by Reni Eddo-Lodge. Reni is an inspiring writer and journalist who focusses primarily on feminism and structural racism.
If you have read any of these books, please let me know what you think. I would love to have a chat with you in instagram @crea.tingspace !

This is episode 2 of the "My story" series. I explain what it was like to stop the sport that I had done and loved for over 12 years. I explain how I lost my purpose, lost my confidence and developed an issue with exercise and food. It was a very difficult time for me but I got through it through the discovery of tools like journaling, yoga, reading and reflecting.
I hope this episode is helpful for those who have gone through a similar experience. I would love to know your stories! Send me a DM on @crea.tingspace!

Hey there! Welcome back to another episode. In this latest episode, I talk to you about my experience with yeast overgrowth, yeast intolerance and Candida. (They are all the same thing pretty much, just with different names.)
I suffered from yeast overgrowth for about 2 years, but at the time I didn't know about other issues I had, so they may have made the yeast intolerance worse.
In this episode, I go through all the symptoms, what may have caused it and more importantly, how to cure it. There is (in my opinion) a definite lack of research and information online and when you are going through crazy symptoms and have no idea why, it can be really frustrating, hence why I have done this episode. Past little ol' Nia would definitely have wanted an episode like this that would have given her a bit more information about what was really going on.
DISCLAIMER I am not a nutritionist nor a doctor. The information I give in the episode is from my own experience and research.
Anti fungal treatments I mentioned in the episode. (Please consult with a practitioner before taking any treatments, even if they are natural)
Nano Silver by the make 'The Health Factory'
Oregano Oil
Liver support supplements I mentioned:
Chlorella
Milk Thistle (Not actually milk/dairy)
Broccoli sprout extract supplements
I hope you enjoyed this episode and I hope it was helpful for those who suspect or are suffering from either Yeast intolerance, Yeast overgrowth or Candida.

Wow this one is a goodie. I sit down and chat with my mum about what it was like to look after a full time athlete and the commitment it required as a whole family. She also describes how she got into designing figure skating costumes and how she dealt with seeing me lose my purpose after stopping skating.
We talk in depth about the athlete routine we had and what it takes to stay healthy, happy and get that trophy!

I mostly talk about the physical and health struggles that comes with being an athlete. I will invite other retired skaters to talk about the mental side of being an athlete and then retiring because it is worth a whole new episode in itself.
