In this episode, Georgie, Ollie and Sam discuss how the story of the Bible extends beyond Jesus' work on earth. They begin by talking about God's plan for all of creation and how that is realised in the book of Acts. Together, they then unpack the significance of the Jewish festival of Pentecost and how that helps us understand the events of that upper room. After that they talk about the reason for the gift of tongues accompanying that event. They explore one possible interpretation of the wine language in the passage. Finally they dig into the content of Peter's sermon.

In this episode, Nia, Ollie and Sam explore the significance of Jesus' death, resurrection and ascension. Together, they celebrate a traditional Passover meal live to explore the significance of what Jesus did on that fateful night. After eating their fill, they examine closely every aspect of Jesus' trial. The gravity of the accusations as well as Jesus' innocence in it all. A sombre discussion of the realities of the cross ensues. Finally, they celebrate the risen Jesus and what it means for us that Jesus ascended from the grave and then to the right hand of God.

In this episode, Georgie, Marcus and Sam learn all about the ethical demands of God's kingdom. First up, they have an illuminating discussion on the relationship between the law of the old testament and God's grace. They particularly focus on the sabbath and all of the significance to be found there. After that, they uncover the grace that Jesus is bringing through his beatitudes. Next up they launch into Jesus' challenging teachings around enemy love. Finally, they think deeply about the good and the bad fruit that Jesus talks about.

In this episode, Marcus, Ollie and Sam go deep on the nature of the Kingdom of God as Jesus describes it in his ministry. The gang looks first at parables and why Jesus might use them to teach. Having grasped this concept, they move on to the parables in this section of Jesus' teaching. They see how the parable of the persistent widow shows us God's heart. Then the collection of stories that follow teach the gang that the kingdom is coming to surprising people.

After that, Jesus' exorcisms shine a light on the kingdom of darkness that Jesus saw himself overthrowing. Then, they discuss the theme of abundance in God's kingdom. The story of the man with leprosy reveals What God's kingdom means for those who are unclean. Finally, they discuss what it means for Jesus to forgive sins outside of the temple.

In this episode, Sam, Marcus and Nia explore the baptism of Jesus and his testing in the wilderness. The crew begin by summarizing the birth narratives in Luke. Then they jump right into the passage for the week. Jumping out of the passage, they dwell on John the baptist's ministry. From there, they look into the baptism of Jesus and how it explains the genealogy that follows. Finally, they compare Jesus' experience in the wilderness with that of Israel.

In this episode, Sam, Georgie and Nia pull apart Jesus' announcement of the kingdom of God in Luke's gospel. Firstly, they retell the story of the old testament and its cliffhanger that leads us to Jesus. After that, they read Luke 4:14-22 together. Following that is a discussion of the relationship between the four gospels. Then they dive into the relationship between our passage and Mark 1:14-15. They delve into the quotation from Isaiah 61 in its original context. Finally, the role of the synagogue in this passage is examined.
