Mormons are known for being happy, friendly, and taking the phrase “killing with kindness” to a new level. The host of The Salty Saint is like a rare unicorn amongst Mormons as he embraces his salty and cynical perspective that has been shaped by a life of hardships, triumphs, and really cool training/experiences from working for the government. The host of The Salty Saint has gone from a broken, severely depressed and anxiety ridden teenage drop-out with an 8th grade education and broken family, to graduating top if his class and working as an Intel officer and federal agent.

Being a salty #mormon can be a lonely place. Sitting by yourself at the church potluck is like being the chubby awkward kid at prom standing against the wall. At the same time it has its perks, like fewer visitors in your home. The Salty Saint isn’t afraid to critically examine Mormon culture with the hope that a difference can be made one #LDS congregation at a time.
