Casady School
Located in Oklahoma City, Casady School is a PreK-12, independent, college preparatory Episcopal day school committed to deeper-level learning. We strive instill in our students the skills and knowledge to pursue a life of balance, purpose, and joy.

Karen Carter Towles, is a fixture on the Casady campus. Although Mrs. Towles officially retired from teaching after 30 years in Primary Division, she is now working part-time as the Montessori Coordinator for the School and will be helping up to four teachers get their Montessori certification this year.
Mrs. Towles graduated from Casady in 1965 and went to OU and graduated from OCU. She began her career in banking where she spent 13 years. When she left the banking industry after her children were born, she was a Vice President overseeing operations functions and customer service.
Since Mrs. Towles and her husband Chris are both Casady graduates, they knew Casady was the only place for their children, Katie who was Class of 2000 and Clay who was Class of 2003. Mrs. Towles volunteered in Primary as a parent and loved it so
much that she began teaching soon after Clay finished in Primary. Besides receiving her Montessori certificate and teaching here, she also taught Montessori classes at OCU for seven years and was an Examiner and Observer and still does volunteer
work with OCU.

Max Weitzenhoffer is a well-recognized patron of the arts. As Chairman of Nimax Theatres, he owns six theaters in the teeming arts district of the West End in London, England. His extensive career involves roles as Chairman of the University of Oklahoma Regents, President and Chief Executive Officer of Seminole Manufacturing Company, and Visiting Professor of Musical Theater at OU. Max earned Tony Awards for the revival of Dracula, and best musical for The Will Roger Follies. In 1994, he was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. Max holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from OU. Max is married and has two children, both of whom graduated from Casady, Nikki in 2020 and Owen in 2021.
Max came to Casady School as a seventh grader in 1951 and graduated in 1957. Casady Theatre was the highlight of his time here. His most famous role was in “Angel Street” also known as “Gaslight.” He played the role done by Joseph Cotton in the film and Gregory Peck on the stage.
This episode is a recording of the Celebration of Progress event for the Loeffler Primary Division's Expansion and Renovation. It took place in the Nichols Activity Center on Casady's campus and was attended by a number of the project's supporters and developers.
Head of School Nathan L. Sheldon opens the 2022-2023 school year with a Chapel Talk reflecting on the founding of Casady School and looking to the future year of celebration as the entire community celebrates its 75th anniversary.
Bishop Poulson Reed addresses the Class of 2022 and their families during the School's annual Baccalaureate service held in the Chapel of St. Edward the Confessor.

Each year, Casady's welcomes a guest speaker to graduation to challenge the School's graduating class to new heights and successes in lives. In 2022, Casady welcomes alumnus Ben May, Class of 1968, back to campus. He spoke of his own time as a Casady student and the lessons he learned both as a student and an almnus.

Each year, Casady's graduating class selects a fellow classmate to give a speech to their families, the School's faculty and staff, and each other. At the Graduation for the Class of 2022, Abby Fakhoury was chosen by her peers to give the address. Abby encourages her classmates to be unabashedly fearless and proud of themselves while remaining kind, considerate, and humble.

Elaine Paul '85 is the Chief Financial Officer for Lyft and has a wealth of experience in finance for the entertainment and technology industries. Before Lyft, Elaine was CFO and VP of Finance at Amazon Studios, CFO at Hulu, and Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Development at the Walt Disney Company. Elaine was the 2019 recipient of Casady's Distinguished Graduate Award.
In this episode, Elaine reflects on her years at Casady and how her schooling developed her into a lifelong learner, which she believes is crucial for anyone in the 21st century.

Patrick Wert graduated from Casady in 2009 and continued to Boston University to study hospitality while working in restaurants. From there his career trajectory propelled him to New York City, workin in various roles at Eleven Madison Park and discovering a passion for wine. Now, Patrick serves as Regional Beverage Manager for Major Foods Group in Miami, FL, where he is involved with opening a series of restaurants.

For many families the Casady Community is a shared legacy among multiple generations who have all made the journeyed around Casady Lake before launching into their lives. Travis '05, George '07, and Marie '09 all share the Cyclone experience with their father, Steve '78.
In this episode, Travis and George join their father to talk about their individual and shared journeys from graduation to now, what it's like raising a Cyclone, and the strength and presence Casady can have in a families everyday routine.

Carleigh Berryman '15 is an international virtual reality and healthcare expert. She has been a featured speaker at conferences across the U.S. and abroad and will be a featured author in the upcoming book Applied Virtual Reality in Healthcare: Case Studies and Perspectives. Most notably, Carleigh is recognized for her work as the CEO & Founder of Viva Vita, a start-up that has delivered virtual reality to thousands of seniors across the United States for better mental health and quality of life.

Isaiah Levingston '17 had a remarkable career as a Casady Cyclone and served as a leader on the School's volleyball, basketball, and track teams. Isaiah continued on from Casady to become an athlete on the University of Oklahoma's track team and most recently competed in the Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon for a shot to compete at the Tokyo Olympics.
