"To progress again, man must remake himself. And he cannot remake himself without suffering. For he is both the marble and the sculptor. In order to uncover his true visage he must shatter his own substance with heavy blows of his hammer." - Alexis Carrel
Jack talks about how you can remove your emotions from your day to day so that you can minimize the work-related speed bumps.
Jack gives you three things you can do at this very moment to reset the standard you have set for yourself.
Jack explains how the bad days are sometimes the most pivotal and important times in your career and how they can make or break you. How the trying times should show you whether you need to quit and move on or press through. And when you are able to truly find success when pressing through those trying times. (TLDR: Face your shortcomings often to make them your strengths)
Jack talks about how to constantly increase your bandwidth while discovering what it means to work hard.
Today Jack actually talks about coffee. On this episode tune in to get a brief rundown on the current opinion on synthetic coffee and what Jack believes to be the more clear solution.
Jack explains the lessons he's learned in purchasing Maiden that has allowed him to own a Specialty Coffee Roastery.
Jack tells you why it's important to immediately answer an email while navigating the difficult task of not sounding like a complete tool like most hosts nowadays.
My husband (John) and I wake up every morning and bring our coffee out to our living room couch and sit and talk for hours. EVERY morning. It never gets old & we never run out of coffee topics to talk to. love him so much. #Elongetsit #thesoulsofmyenemieswillperishinaneternalfire #thisismarriage #wedeservethis

Happy (belated) National Coffee Day! On this weeks episode these three fine young gentlemen take a stab at some fun coffee facts to celebrate the holidays! After all is said and done John, Jack, and Dave rely on past high school experiences to provide you all with content! You think it's bad now? Oh you just wait until they run out of high school stories and have to make real, lasting memories in the present! Maybe even get out of their comfort zone of their current 9-5 schedules just so they can have more to talk about on this podcast. Woof! Maybe they'll read a book or two so their thoughts and words can be more coherent in order to provide episodes that last longer than 20 minutes. That'll be the day. So tune in to this weeks episode and maybe dm John on instagram to get off his rear-end and start promoting this a little bit more!

Why does Anchor remove all of your written info on the episode after you decide to edit the audio? I had an entire description laid out for this episode and then I realized I forgot to insert an advertisement in this episode so that I can make a total of 30 cents. 30 CENTS (1 play = 1 penny)! Granted it would take me all of 10 minutes to rewrite the description for the second time but that isn't the point! I need a reason to make my listeners feel guilty for skipping over our advertisements and now I have found one! I have turned lemons into lemonade and thus will most likely be making a 10% higher profit on this episode! Now THATS how you run a business. So press on RGCP listeners, never let the MAN get you down.
Jack, Dave, and John also drink Rook coffee this episode in keeping with the theme of exhaustion and existential dread.

After another blatant misfire from the Really Good Coffee boys, everyone settles into a second recording for today's episode. Jack has still not figured out a solution to this recording issue and can't manage to get this priority into his thick, hair-receded skull. Moral may be low and tensions may be high, but nothing can stop this freight train fueled by 5 espresso shots and the power of friendship. Be there be square.

Does anybody actually read the description? No seriously I am genuinely curious if anyone actually takes the time to read these for every episode. This is now the 11th time I am doing this and maybe it's the existential marxist in me speaking but sometimes it feels as if this is just another thing being sent into the endless void never to be seen again with the potential to be stumbled upon by a random listener from a distant country wondering why they have been scrolling on their phone aimlessly for the past few hours and how they even got to where they are now. I just hope this is the indicator that changes their mind so they can finally shut their phone off and go do something with their lives. I mean the amount of dopamine that they have just been injecting into their brain from the last few hours is probably the amount we should normally be getting in a week. Go for a walk or go meditate. Just do something in silence with no distractions for once. Sit with your thoughts and try to have an in depth idea that doesn't take you ten seconds to explain fully. Enjoy!

Quick one today! After receiving a lovely notice during the finalizing moments of a normal 45 minute episode, Jack was delighted to see a notice pop up stating that the computers "disk was too slow"! So once He and John realized that all the data from the original episode was non-existent and never again to be heard for the rest of eternity, they buckled down and got back to work on this masterpiece that you are currently listening to. Isn't that wonderful?!
