In this podcast we talk with Pitt students working on unique and impactful projects across disciplines—from history and philosophy to better understanding how our bodies fight disease. Our guests tell us about their journey at Pitt, but also provide our listeners with firsthand advice about how they can pursue research and scholarship at Pitt and succeed in their own journey.
Brett and Josh talk with Dominique Vickers and Stephanie Washington, both Pitt alums. Both guests discuss their successful application and preparation for the Fulbright Scholarship which they both won for Spain. Dominique is currently on her Fulbright in Ourense, Spain. Stephanie has already completed her Fulbright in Spain and is currently attending the University of Chicago's Medical School.
Brett and Josh talk with Pitt alum Monica Merante. Monica, who also worked for Pitt Honors as a receptionist, discusses her successful application and preparation for the Fulbright Scholarship, which she used to teach English in Malaysia.

My name is Brett Say, director of research and creative programs here in Pitt Honors. And I'm joined by my cohost, Josh Cannon, scholar-mentor for the Honors College and just all around nice guy. What's up, Josh?
Josh Cannon: Hey, Brett, thank you for that introduction. I am one of the four scholar-mentors that the Honors College has. And what we do is we split this massive menu catalog of scholarships up and specialize in our own little quadrant.
Brett Say: Yeah, it's a pretty cool resource that really not too many places have.
