In this episode, I cover the topic of balancing rest, joy and work in the busy summer season. Our most important, non-urgent needs—like rest and meaningful connection—often get squeezed out of our busy schedules. That’s why a summer protocol can be so helpful. It is a way to budget your summer energy with intention.
The formula for a vibrant summer is creating space for Rest, Joy AND Work.
How can you do this for the rest of summer?
Create a weekly chart with 3- 5 boxes per day (adjust for your energy levels). Choose colors for rest, responsibility, and relationships. Fill in a few boxes with time for each important area of life.
Life happens! Allow blank spots so you can pivot if needed.
Start with just the next 2 days if a week feels overwhelming. Decide your energy allocation ahead of time and stick to it. Check in daily and move your energy blocks to where it feels right.

This week on the podcast, listen in on a conversation I had with fellow life coach Shelly Groom about faith and the journey to living authentic, abundant lives. Living a vibrant, abundant life starts with embracing your true self.
Here are 3 key takeaways:
Abundance is real: Faith can encourage us to live authentically and abundantly.
Community matters: It is powerful to connect with others who see our potential and hold space for us to grow. Whether through group coaching, spiritual groups, or friendships-it is worth the time to find people to do life with.
Live Loved: Coaching communities can help all of us love, encourage, and “hold space” for others, helping them recognize and nurture their inner potential.

This week on the podcast, I am sharing a conversation with a fellow life coach, Lizzie Merritt. We discuss tools to live with more self-compassion, awareness, and fulfillment.
Whether it’s overcoming people-pleasing, breaking unhelpful patterns, or learning to accept your unique wiring, life coaching can help anyone seeking lasting change.
3 highlights from our conversation:
Self-awareness is transformational: Understanding why we think, feel, and act the way we do (through tools like the Enneagram or self-reflection) helps us have more grace for ourselves and compassion for others. Noticing our patterns is always the first step.
Behavior follows identity: Sustainable change doesn’t start with shifting actions. When you begin to see yourself as someone worthy, capable, and enough—your actions naturally align. Start on the inside with noticing your thoughts, feelings, values, and identity.
Rest is an important tool: True growth and health mean creating space for rest. Without it, we keep repeating old patterns and using coping mechanisms that don’t serve us or could even hurt us and our relationships.
Living a vibrant life isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being curious, getting honest about what’s really going on beneath the surface, and learning to celebrate the whole, unique you.

In this episode, I’m sharing my thoughts on the book “Everybody Always” by Bob Goff, a bestseller from 2018 that challenges readers to radically love others—especially difficult people and those with differing viewpoints. A topic never more relevant than now!
If you had to summarize the entire Bible in one word, it’s love. If we believe we are who God says we are—loved, valued, and capable—then loving “everybody always” flows authentically from us.
Here are 3 key takeaways:
Love with Boundaries: Love isn’t about being a doormat or accepting harm. It’s about sharing your energy to help people see their value, while also practicing healthy boundaries.
Start with Self-Awareness and Receiving Love: We become capable of healthy authentic love for others by first believing and accepting God’s love for ourselves. You can’t pour from an empty cup.
Extend Grace to All:: Loving beyond your circle means extending grace even to those who are difficult to love. It’s not easy, but it’s possible! Sometimes, start with loving someone for just 30 seconds at a time.
Let’s be people who choose love over everything else.

Each of the five Human Design energy types (Manifestor, Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector, Reflector) has distinct energy patterns and communication styles.
By understanding what feels satisfying or frustrating (for Generators, for example) or what brings peace or anger (for Manifestors), individuals can better align their actions and communication, leading to more fulfillment and less wasted energy.
Manifestors are initiators—others feel their presence before they speak.
Communication: Clear, direct informing is essential. Manifestors should not assume others understand their actions; proactive communication prevents confusion or alienation.
Alignment Check: Notice if you feel peaceful (in alignment) or enraged (out of alignment).
Generators “move things along” and can work extensively when energized.
Communication: Authenticity matters. Generators should listen to their gut (the sacral response)—making sounds like “uh-huh” or “uh-uh” can help clarify true desires and satisfaction.
Alignment Check: Notice feelings of satisfaction (in alignment) versus frustration (out of alignment).
Manifesting Generators are the hybrid of generator and manifestor. They are fast, nonlinear, and enjoy juggling multiple interests and projects.
Communication: Share enthusiasm without overwhelming others with the full scope of your excitement. Hone in on what truly lights you up and communicate that succinctly.
Alignment Check: Similar to generators, attending to gut responses ensures decisions stay true to your energy.
Projectors “see” others deeply and often offer wise counsel.
Communication: Wait for invitations before sharing insights—unsolicited advice may be wasted or even resented. Invitations ensure that energy is well-received.
Alignment Check: Are your insights being invited and appreciated? Use this as your barometer.
Reflectors are the rarest type; open and reflective, sampling the energy of everyone around them.
Communication: Take your time (even up to a month) to process and respond. There is no need to provide immediate answers.
Alignment Check: Are you honoring your need for time and not succumbing to pressure for quick responses?

In this episode, I’m focusing on relationships, using the Enneagram to understand the 9 different core motivations that drive our behavior.
Identifying our core fears and desires can foster greater compassion in personal and professional relationships. As we notice what is driving our behaviors—even when we’re not consciously aware —we can create a tool box to support us, including exercises for self-reflection.
Noticing and understanding your own—and others’—core motivations can open up new possibilities for empathy, collaboration, and personal growth.

This week on the podcast, I am re-sharing an episode on the Enneagram, highlighting how it shapes the way we think, feel, and do life—especially during times of stress. It is such a powerful tool for self-awareness. .
We each process life differently—through our body, heart, or mind. These are called Centers of Intelligence. We each use all three, but one is our primary way to process life's experiences.
Here are 3 key takeaways:
Types 8, 9, & 1: Experience and process life somatically through the body. Emotions like anger serve as important signals, helping us identify when boundaries are crossed. Notice the difference between healthy anger and unhelpful rage or contempt.
Types 2, 3, & 4: Live life through feelings. Learn to distinguish between guilt (a signal to reflect on actions) and shame (a harmful belief that “I am wrong”). Self-awareness helps us access the truth of our value and maintain healthy boundaries in relationships.
Types 5, 6, & 7: Engage life through thinking and strategizing. The central challenge here is catastrophizing—imagining worst-case scenarios. Fear serves a purpose, but learning to focus on “what’s the best that could happen?” can rewrite our patterns.
The gift of self-awareness is understanding why we think, feel, and act the way we do—then putting loving boundaries in place.By using the Enneagram, we can see that everyone operates from their own core motivations and patterns. This insight allows compassion for ourselves and others, encourages healthy boundaries, and supports living a more vibrant, purpose-filled life.

The Working Genius is a powerful self awareness tool that can transform both your personal and your work life.
In today’s podcast, I focus on the underlying motivations behind each Working Genius, they WHY behind WHAT each genius craves or desires, and what things “crush them”.
Everyone, regardless of their genius, craves to be seen, understood, and wanted.
When you understand what specific things you crave and what crushes you, you can not only better identify your geniuses but also use that information to have more agency in your life - to work more productively, improve work and personal relationships, and avoid burnout.
Understanding what motivations are behind each genius is vital to be able to use this information to improve your life and your relationships.

Does meal planning ever feel daunting to you? Does it leave you in a state of decision fatigue or dread? In this episode, listen in on a conversation I had with Jenny Cheifetz, The Flirty Vegan.
We explore the mental load so many women carry when it comes to meal planning, the power of giving ourselves grace, and practical strategies for simplifying food without sacrificing nutrition or joy.
Whether you’re curious about plant-based living, looking for ways to streamline your own meal routines, or simply wanting permission to ditch perfection for good, this episode offers relatable stories, tangible tips, and a gentle reminder that “good enough” really is enough.
Here are three key takeaways:
Give Yourself Grace: Let go of perfectionism and redefine what “enough” looks like, especially when it comes to everyday tasks like cooking. Sometimes, dinner really can be as simple as toast and an apple!
Find Your Shortcuts and Systems: Batch cooking, simple appliances- like a rice cooker and air fryer, and having a stocked pantry save time and reduce decision fatigue.
Honor Your Energy and Preferences: When you tune into your own likes and dislikes around things like meal prep and cleanup, you can create routines that actually fuel you instead of drain you.

In this episode, my guest Joann Yorkston and I talk about small actions that create magical winter days. From outdoor walks (even in the rain or snow!) to cozy scarves and daily rituals, we can choose to embrace the winter season, not just endure it.
Here are a few takeaways:
Intentionally seek joy in routines: Whether it’s wearing a favorite scarf, lighting a candle in the morning, or stacking your habits for an easier day, small choices can make winter (and life) feel special.
Nature heals, even on the bad weather days: Getting outside every day—even for 10 minutes—can be transformative. It’s not about perfect weather, but about noticing the beauty, breathing fresh air, and letting the outdoors reset your mindset.
You are worth the investment: Whether it’s buying outdoor gear you LOVE, carving out quiet moments for yourself, or building community through shared activities, remember: you’re worth the time, energy, and self-care that create a vibrant life in EVERY season

In this episode, I am sharing a conversation I had with Sarah Swift about how she chooses to appreciate—rather than just endure—the winter season.
Sarah has learned to welcome winter by carving out intentional moments and finding joy in each day, and remembering that life isn’t a race all year long—there’s time enough for everything that matters. And slowing down, especially in the winter, aligns with seasonal rhythms, which is how we are meant to live!
Here are three takeaways:
Mindset is Everything: Look for small joys in every day—regardless of the season. Whether it’s appreciating freshly fallen snow or savoring a slow cup of coffee, choosing to focus on little moments of happiness can totally transform our experience of the colder months.
Healthy Habits: Don’t let winter be an excuse to put your well-being on hold. Movement (like walking outside—even in the Wisconsin chill!) and muscle toning happened as she learned to adjust her routines, layer up, and create inviting spaces in her home.
Refresh Your Space, Refresh Your Mind: Winter is the perfect time to tackle projects inside your home, from deep cleaning to adding special touches to your favorite spaces. Start small with one meaningful area (maybe your bathroom or office) . Don't feel like you need to declutter your whole house at once!

In this episode, I’m reflecting on the Danish concept of Hygge- a powerful approach to embracing coziness, comfort, and well-being through the dark cold winter. By being intentional about creating habits that work for you, you can transform your experience of the deep winter months.
3 Key Takeaways:
Intentional Self-Awareness that aligns with the current season: Notice where you are- mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually—and ask yourself what you need more of THIS season. Small shifts can spark big changes.
Simple Comforts Matter: From soft blankets and lighting to favorite hobbies and engaging your senses, find rituals that make daily life genuinely cozy and joyful.
Community & Connection: Hygge isn’t just about your environment—it’s about people. Reach out to those who energize and inspire you, and intentionally create moments to connect.
What is your next step? A new cozy light, heartfelt message to a friend, or dedicating time to a favorite hobby. Your well-being is worth it!

Being super busy isn’t the only path to success!
Are you ready to ditch frenetic energy and step into your vibrant, purpose-filled life? In this episode, I explore a powerful approach to productivity that’s not about hustle, multi-tasking or overwhelm, but rather about alignment, intention, and true self-awareness. Let’s all make decisions from a place of peace and love for our future selves.
Here are 3 key takeaways:
Self-awareness is the foundation.
Understanding where your energy and time are going, and making intentional choices, changes everything. Take a pause, breathe, and notice what truly drives your decisions.
Aligned actions matter more than volume of actions.
Not every “yes” serves your best energy or purpose. Focus on what feels intentional, and allow yourself to say no when needed.
Design your environment and routines for peace.
Whether it’s calming music, meaningful colors, or grounding rituals, the cues around you influence your productivity and your sense of calm. Implement small, repeated practices that genuinely serve your energy.

Do you feel the “New Year, New Me” energy fading? You’re not alone! By mid-January, most people have already set aside their resolutions. This week on the Live A Vibrant Life Podcast, I’m inviting you to rethink goal setting—and discover a kinder, more realistic path to achieving your dreams.
Let Go of January Pressure: Goals don’t have to be set (or achieved) in January. Your priorities can be nurtured year-round, whenever your energy feels right.
Choose Peaceful Productivity: What if you could be productive without sacrificing your mental, emotional, or physical well-being? The secret is to align your goals with your natural energy, and approach growth as an ongoing rhythm—not a frantic dash.
Budget Your Energy Like Your Money If something matters to you, make sure it gets a slice of your daily energy budget. Your energy ebbs and flows throughout the year. Be kind to yourself in the darker months and shorter days. No one has “summer energy” all year long.
Above all…be gentle with yourself. Your dreams are important—the process can be peaceful AND productive.

When you think of living an abundant life, how do you feel? What do you notice?
Is it possible that abundance is waiting for you, just beyond your “want list”?
Here are 3 key takeaways:
You’re more supported than you think. These moments remind us we don’t walk our paths alone, especially as we step into new seasons of life.
Healing and dreaming go hand-in-hand. The episode is a testament to moving past limitations, embracing abundance, and allowing ourselves to forgive, love, and dream bigger—sometimes beyond what we even know to want.
Community unlocks possibility. When we connect and encourage each other, we expand what’s possible for ourselves and those around us.

This week on the podcast, we are looking at the power of energy—from noticing it, to leveraging it for powerful decisions and desired results. If you’ve been feeling drained, overwhelmed, or simply want to create more ease and joy, this episode delivers actionable insights and heartfelt encouragement.
Here are 3 key takeaways.
Noticing Before Deciding: The step between “notice” and “decide” is crucial. Pause, breathe, and evaluate your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual energy BEFORE making decisions. Jumping into action with the wrong energy rarely serves us well.
Aligned Action Over Hustle: Instead of pushing forward while overwhelmed or exhausted, focus on finding aligned energy. Whether it’s rest, journaling, movement, or creative expression, intentionally restore and realign your energy before moving ahead.
Set Sustainable Goals: Give yourself permission to set timelines that truly feel manageable and safe—even if those goals are years away! By planning with ease and patience, you’re more likely to create lasting, vibrant results.

Hope is the highlight of the Christmas story.
This week the podcast is focusing on the story of Mary, the mother of Jesus and remember that the good news of great joy is for ALL people.
Here are 3 takeaways:
True strength and significance are found in surrendering to God. Surrender can be tough—especially for those of us who like to be in control! Mary’s story reminds us of the power found when we say “let it be.” Believing that we are ambassadors of God’s love for the world is where we find our purpose and strength.
Your purpose and worth aren’t defined by what you do or what others say. It is easy to believe lies spoken over us. We all need someone in our life—like Elizabeth was for Mary—to remind us of who we really are and speak God’s truth over us.
God’s faithfulness gives us hope even in the hardest times. Whether you’re celebrating or struggling this season, the Christmas story reminds us that God is with us in every circumstance.

In this episode, I share my insights from an online Cathy Heller event from November, where she encouraged us to tune into our most authentic, abundant selves.
This is so important, especially during the busy holiday stretch. As we move through the holidays, let’s ask ourselves what we truly want and intentionally align our thoughts and actions to create a vibrant, authentic life.
Here are my top 3 takeaways:
Get Clear on What You Want: Reflect and ask yourself, “What do I want?” Write it down! Whether it’s joy, peace, or abundance, being conscious of your desires opens you to receiving them.
Tune Your Thoughts Like a Radio: Identify the thoughts you want to keep on repeat to support your vision and energy.
Practice Receiving Abundance Daily: Simple rituals—like journaling, breathwork, nature walks, or prayer can be helpful.

What energy would you like this holiday season? I don't think any of us want to be frustrated, resentful, annoyed, or aggravated, which is a frequent mindset during the holiday season. We give lip service to the idea of “peace and harmony”, but how much effort do we each actually put into doing OUR part towards that end?
Many of us wait for a sense of peace passively, as if it's a state caused by life circumstances going well or based on what other people do, as if we are victims to the whims of the world and those around us. This is not accurate thinking!

**Have you ever heard the phrase “don’t get tired of doing good”? (It’s from the Bible) Taken out of context, it is often misinterpreted as a call to not take care of yourself and to put others first at all costs.

You CAN take good care of yourself and also serve others if you shift your mindset away from giving to others endlessly at your own expense. There is another way. Many of us think of “rest” as maybe a nap or just a break from what we're currently doing. However, there are many kinds of rest and it’s important to choose and practice the ones that are right for you. In this podcast, I'm offering nine different ways of thinking about rest that roughly correspond to the nine Enneagram types.
As none of us need to stay “stuck in the box” of our main type, we are also not “stuck” with just one version of rest. There likely are several types of rest that will work well for you in different circumstances. It doesn’t matter if you know your Enneagram type or not.
Take a listen and try out some new kinds of rest in your regular practice - see what a difference it can make in your life! Nine KInds of Rest
1 Gift yourself some time away
2 Give yourself permission to not be helpful
3 Be unproductive on purpose
4 Connect to art or nature
5 Make time for solitude
6 Let someone else make decisions and take responsibility
7 Allow stillness
8 Create a space you enjoy
9 Take time to journal & notice what you you’re thinking

Did you know that getting satisfaction from completing a task isn’t the same thing as enjoying the action of completing that task?
When considering what you “enjoy” in life, many of us squeeze out true fun and enjoyment by focusing on getting things done and checking things off our lists.
Getting things done is certainly important, however, checking things off our lists is not the same thing as “having fun”. Taking time to really consider what you actually enjoy, like, and love to do is not a trivial exercise.

And it is ALSO work to stay healthy and aligned so that you can pour into other people. It ALL matters! You bring more value than you may realize. Take some time to consider this. With summer around the corner, it's time to inject some intentional fun and growth into the season.
Can you recall a time when you consciously stepped back, noticed your life, and decided to say 'yes' to what truly matters and 'no' to what doesn't?
That’s precisely why I created the "Live a Vibrant Life" coaching program.
I love to share the tools I have created on my personal journey that led to a life brimming with vibrancy.
This episode underscores the importance of self-awareness in decision-making.
Self-awareness holds a mirror to life, asking us to reflect on our thoughts, feelings, and commitments and encouraging us to focus and let go as required.
This week we discover how the simple practices of morning pages and artist dates can spark joy in everyday life.
So, gear up to make this summer a season of growth, fun, and intentional living!

Are you ready to live a Vibrant Life?
You experience a vibrant life when you decide to invest your energy in the part of life you have authority over, which is :
Accepting what we CAN'T change or control is a crucial first step. ( we are not in charge of what others think, feel, or do!! Frustrating, right?)
Coaching can help you discern what's needed - acceptance or courage. That's where wisdom comes in. But it takes a lot of practice!
Once you start making progress, you’ll start to notice there is a ripple effect of growing self-awareness that has a far-reaching impact.
You are worth the work, time, and effort it takes to be self-aware and transform your life!
When you invest in yourself, EVERYONE gets the best of you!

The Enneagram helps us understand WHY our time and energy focus is the way it is.
Humans need future, present & past focus of energy- but we are unbalanced, ( and lean into one focus), until we become self-aware.
Noticing what energy focus is easiest for you to access or what is hard to access is another layer of clarity.

4,5,9 Past-Focused

**Decide to focus on one important result- a priority-that you are seeking to work towards, then decide on small action steps that will move you toward your chosen priority.
2-3 small action steps per day, 3-5 days per week can help you move towards a vibrant life!**
The first few minutes are a bit hard to hear, but hang in there and you can learn my Sticky Note System.
Decide to invest your energy and create results this spring.
What could your life look like when you notice and invest your energy?
Energy management is important because not all hours of the day are of the same value. Two o'clock in the morning is not high energy time for most people.
Not only do we have different amounts of energy, but we also have different energy on different days based on the energy we used the day before.
When you begin to track your energy, it turns out it's not exactly the same every day. Notice your mental, physical, and emotional energy by naming it with a color
( green, yellow, and red ) for a couple of weeks.
In general, most people have three to five high-energy hours a day.
Our goal with is to Live A Vibrant Life and choose to invest our energy into our purpose. I hope this week's podcast is helpful for you as you learn to do this.
Have you wondered what is needed to live A Vibrant Life?
Coach Kelly Tibbitts shares the steps on the journey to a life where we are Healthy in Every Season.
The Serenity Prayer is the starting point. It is where we notice what we need to accept to create serenity or peace in our lives.
Then we notice the need for courage to think the thoughts, feel the feeling, and do the action steps to create important results.
Finally, we grow with small practice steps as grow in self-awareness.

What is the Enneagram- Ennea (9) Gram ( diagram)

The 9 numbers are grouped in groups of three, and these groups, called triads, can be useful to explain energy, position to time, and our center of intelligence.
Triads- are how we process and respond to events or information.
