In this episode, I have the amazing Marisa back for her second episode.
We're back today talking about conscious parenting, being perimenopausal, reflecting on our lives, and balancing self-care.
I love continuing to have these open and honest conversations. The more we talk about these topics the more we normalise them.
As a first-time parent to one child, I am always learning as my daughter gets older.
There is always a tug of war between spending time with her and doing my home chores, ensuring that I'm being a good mum, ensuring that I'm being a good wife, and continuing to do work within my business. Hearing from other mothers who run their own businesses is so helpful, especially when they’ve been where you are and share their knowledge and insights.
Marissa is a playful parenting coach, yoga teacher, and board-certified genetic counselor. She helps. Parents and children who feel mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted from trying to carry the weight of the world on their shoulders.

Ever feel the need to just shake off unwanted energy in the middle of the day?
Yep me too which is why this week’s episode is all about reminding you of ways to shift your energy. Our energy is so precious and sometimes we don’t realise how the outside world is affecting it. Have you noticed how your mood can shift after picking up your phone to check your emails or if you’ve been strolling aimlessly on social media and you come across something that just doesn’t sit right with you? Yep been there too, and for me that feeling can stay with me for the whole day unless I direct my energy elsewhere.
In this short episode, I share with you the ways I choose to shift my energy, to help with my mood, mindset, productivity, creativity and so much more
It really is time to choose your peace over everything especially if you're trying to juggle it all.
I hope you find an easy strategy to implement from this episode.

As we get older we are made to feel that we should be scared of ageing! Society makes us feel like we should do everything in our power to stop the aging process and from what I’ve witnessed that also includes not talking much about what is happening within our bodies.
How do you feel about getting older?
Do you panic when each birthday comes around, examining your face and body every morning for those tell-tale signs of ageing?
Or are you, like me, simply happy to be alive and sharing these wonderful moments with those you love?
I’m going to turn 45 in just a few weeks. And I’m noticing small changes like joint pains, brain fog, skin sensitivities, and my hands are forever dry. Sometimes my energy levels and sleep can be a bit all over the place.
Then it can be more difficult to concentrate at different times of the month, I don’t want to be social and sometimes, I can’t even remember what I came into a room for!!!
In this episode, you’ll hear:
And so much more!
Join me as we unpack the importance of education, community, and the courage to listen as our bodies' calls for attention.

In 2015, my life changed forever when my mum passed away. I was heartbroken, and my body shut down. I distracted myself so I wouldn’t feel the pain of losing a parent. One of my biggest lessons learned is that time waits for nobody. My mum had so many plans, but dying at 56 meant she didn’t get to fulfill many of them. People often plan, but they don’t execute the plan. They make excuses, procrastinate, feel overwhelmed, talk themselves out of really going for what they truly want, and then they freeze...
I believe that we should all have the opportunity to live the life we long for. After 18 months of distraction, I had to review, reflect, and replan how I would live my life without my mum, so planning became really important to my lifestyle. Now that I’m juggling motherhood, being a carer, a wife, and a business owner, being strategic about my planning for my life and business needs is really key. Especially since I know that my time in all of my roles is limited.

Ever get lost in a good memoir and feel like you're right there with the author, living through their highs and lows? That's exactly where I found myself when I decided to dive into more books by black authors last year.
In this episode, I take you on my latest literary adventure.
I explored stories of resilience, love, heartache and so much more from icons like Cicely Tyson in "Just As I Am" and eagerly anticipating the screen adaptation of "Black Cake." There's a certain magic in reliving Mariah Carey's life through her autobiography and getting swept away by the vibe of her live performances – a magic I can't wait to share with you.
But this episode isn't just about reliving stories; it's like a virtual bookshelf full of recommendations spanning genres and experiences.

I’ve always found the ageing process so fascinating. In a world where we have access to so many images, products and services that promote anti-aging, it’s intriguing how discussions around natural alternatives seem so taboo!! I knew I had met someone special when Carelle slipped into my DMs a few years ago.
Carelle Rose is a face yoga instructor, a Gua Sha therapist. reflexologist and is very passionate about holistic healing and natural pro ageing alternatives to Botox and fillers. When I found this out my ears pricked up, as I have no interest in having injectables. This is no judgment to anybody who does, I simply believe in exploring alternatives that work.
Carelle openly shared her journey, including her personal experience with Botox, leading to her obsession with holistic face and body care. In our vulnerable conversation, we delved into the challenges women face, both physically and emotionally. Normalising that we are human and we all go through our own hardships is so important to both of us. Especially as mothers raising young girls.
In this episode Carelle shares:
And so much more!
Carelle also shared her experience of balancing her children's health and wellbeing and the significance of nourishing them with nutrient-rich foods. Towards the end, Carelle shares a jaw tension relief technique that made an instant difference for me. Tune in to this enlightening and honest episode about facial fitness, holistic parenting, and everything in between. It might just change the way you approach ageing!

The Holiday seasons are always so hard for me because they remind me that my mum is no longer with us. So in this episode, I'm sharing with you some of the things that I will be doing to make my life easier and less emotional during this time.
I really enjoy celebrating and spending time with my family, but sometimes the emotions can take over which means that everything can become very draining. In previous years I've overcompensated because I wanted to ensure that everyone was having a good time but when you’re trying to do all of the things yourself, you can end up burnout and miserable.

One of the reasons I love what I do is because I get to witness people transforming their lives to get what they desire. Over and over again Money Mindset Coach and Accountant Karen Noel, my guest for this episode, has shown me that having a good mindset around money attracts money. We met in a business development programme in 2020 and Karen then contacted me to be her coach! We’ve been working together ever since.
In this episode we share our coaching journey together so far, Karen shares her personal journey from accounting to coaching, and how she aids her clients in realising their dreams.
This episode is not just about numbers and budgets, it’s also about setting meaningful goals, acknowledging the power of small action steps, and manifesting dreams - like Karen's own accomplishment of living on a beachfront.

After 15 years in the fast-paced, high-stress world of corporate project management, burnout sets in and I decided it was time to take a step back to heal. So, picture this: I was battling a health issue, feeling exhausted all the time, and my body just didn't seem to be on my side. A few years back, my husband and I decided it was time to start a family, but things weren't happening as quickly as we hoped. That's when I knew I had to find out why.
It turned out that I had fibroids, a blocked fallopian tube, and possible polycystic ovaries. It was tough news to hear, but I wasn't going to give up. I refused to let these challenges defeat me.
I took charge of my health and made some major lifestyle changes. And you know what? It worked wonders! I managed my fibroids naturally, and guess what? I conceived naturally too! But this transformation wasn't just about becoming a mum. It was a total life overhaul.
I went from being a burnout corporate worker to a mother and a businesswoman, all while dealing with fibroids. I'll be honest with you; it wasn't easy, but it was so worth it.
In this episode, I'm going to share all the changes I made in my lifestyle.
Things like incorporating juicing into my daily routine and finding effective ways to manage stress. These changes not only helped with my fibroids, but they also boosted my energy levels and improved my overall health.
You'll hear all about how:
Oh, and before I forget, I've got something special for you. I've developed a 21-day holistic health reset plan that focuses on nutrition, sleep, exercise, and even a social media detox. It's been a game-changer for me, and I'm sure it can be for you too.

When I decided to start a podcast, I didn’t even think about reaching this 100th episode milestone.
I had a desire to get my voice out there and share my message with other female entrepreneurs who were experiencing the same thing as me. I knew that I could make a difference in people’s lives.
But it was just a thought for a long time.
I decided to explore the idea and do a podcast course which I just found too overwhelming. There was so much to do and I believed there was simply no way I could get it all done.
Then I was referred to a brilliant podcast team who could take care of the technical side of things and allow me to focus on creating magic. It truly is a gift for me.
And as they say, the rest is history!
In this special episode, I’m joined by Anne Garcia, CEO of Team Dklutr, my podcast production team. The Eleshia Show was launched in 2021 and continues to be published weekly because of this amazing team.
I also want to take the opportunity to thank everyone who listens to the podcast and supports it every week. I’d love for you to continue to share. Everything I’m doing is a labour of love and I adore doing it and can’t wait to change even more people’s lives.

Our hormones have a lot to answer for, don’t they?
We can feel super sociable, energetic, productive and ready to conquer anything at certain times in the month. Then at other times, we can struggle to feel motivated, don’t like being around people and can even find it harder than ever to think clearly or achieve our goals.
Even if we have reached perimenopause or menopause and no longer have our periods we still experience these monthly shifts that can affect everything we do in our lives and businesses.
Often we try to push through because that’s what society tells us to do. With all those projects, deadlines and various responsibilities, we often feel like it’s our only option if we want to live a rich, fulfilling, successful and financially stable life.
But as this week’s podcast guest, menopause rockstar Mairi Taylor tells us, if we can tune in to our natural female cycles, learn to nurture ourselves better and listen to our intuition, we can take care of ourselves, beat overwhelm, live in alignment with our values and achieve everything we set out to.

How often do you listen to your intuition when it comes to your health and happiness? Do you notice changes in your body, feel that you need a break or even struggle with a sense of overwhelm but continually put other people’s needs first?
As you know, I’m a huge advocate for prioritising your own needs so you can feel happy and healthy, feel confident that you can achieve your goals whilst also taking care of those you love.
As we move into our 30s, 40s and 50s and start experiencing symptoms of perimenopause and menopause approach, this becomes more important than ever. But at the same time, we’re usually busier and under more pressure than ever.
So we tend to ignore our bodies, trying to push through so we can achieve our business and lifestyle goals and keep all those balls in the air.
But as you’ll discover by listening to this episode of the podcast, reclaiming that essential ‘me time’, finding time to rest and listening to our bodies’ messages is more important than ever before.
For this episode, I’m joined by board-certified master hormone coach Kathy Fritz who helps women in perimenopause and menopause gain relief from their hormonal symptoms, lose weight, rediscover their energy, feel sexy and stop thinking that they’re losing their minds.

Let me ask you a question…
Have you started to doubt whether you can actually achieve the business success, happiness, and fulfillment you dream of?
You’ve been working hard, struggling to balance all the demands the world places on you and you still haven’t yet reached that big juicy goal you set for yourself…
Worse still, if you are surrounded by people who don’t believe your dream and think you’d be better off going back to that 9-5, you are even more likely to give up before the magic happens.
Let me reassure you that this is very common, but it DOESN’T mean that you’re doomed to fail.
If you can celebrate yourself and focus on your wins, take care of your body and mind and surround yourself with cheerleaders who believe in your success and get strategic when it comes to your planning, you’ll get back on track and rediscover that energy, optimism and self-belief you need to succeed.

We all know that launching and growing a thriving business isn’t for the faint-hearted.
You’ll need to focus on what matters, work your butt off and keep investing in yourself if you want to achieve your business and financial goals.
But there’s one problem. Although it's both extremely rewarding and exciting, it can also be a frustrating and exhausting process.
Especially if you’re working hard, chasing those opportunities and focusing on how best to reach your target audience but STILL not getting to where you want to be.
Many of my clients come to me feeling exactly like this.
They know exactly what they want but they’re tired of wasting time chasing their dreams when nothing seems to be working...
But what they don’t realise is that refocusing on their ‘why’, taking care of themselves first and learning the art of delegation can help them kickstart their business dreams without ever hitting burnout.
In this week’s solo episode of the podcast, I’ll be explaining exactly how you can do this.

If you’re a female entrepreneur, live a busy life or suffer from stress or anxiety, you KNOW you should give yourself a break.
Because there are often times when you want to hit that imaginary ‘pause button’ and get the restorative sleep and rest that you need to feel great.
But running and growing a business can be hectic, especially if you’re like me and have a family or partner, a home to take care of and a gazillion things you need to take care of.
Self-care and ‘me time’ can feel like an impossible dream.
So what if I was to tell you that you can do something quick, easy and relaxing that will leave you with a sense of calm, escape and actually support your body and mind?
Yes, start drinking more tea.

When you were a kid, were you ever told that ‘money doesn’t grow on trees’?
Or that ‘money is the root of all evil’? Or even that rich people are all ruthless, nasty and only care about their money?
These are just some of the beliefs that many of us have when it comes to money. (Yes, even those of us who are focused on growing our businesses and generating the level of financial success that we crave and deserve!)
But as this week’s podcast guest, money habits coach TJ Wey shares, if we want to enjoy our most happy and abundant lives, make our dreams come true and feel true financial freedom, we need to switch our mindsets and choose a different path.
We CAN create a healthy business that provides a real income so we can retire early pursue our dreams, spend more time with our kids or even treat ourselves to whatever our hearts desire.
We just need to switch our mindsets and choose abundance over scarcity.
If you’re struggling with the effects of the current economic situation, feeling anxious about the future or just want to get more financially savvy, you’re going to love this one. I certainly did!

If you’re the parent of a baby, toddler, or young child, you’ll know just how tricky it can be to help your child sleep well and for you to get the sleep you need.
We know that we’re almost certain to feel like sleep-deprived zombies when they’re tiny. After all, waking up for those endless nighttime feeds and nappy changes is part of the territory.
But for many, the issue can continue well beyond the infant stage and into toddlerhood and feel like it’s never going to end.
For some unlucky parents (ME!) their child used to be a good sleeper but then starts to fight against nap times and bedtimes and comes flying into bed in the early hours of the morning.
You don’t need me to tell you that being the parent, partner, friend, or business owner that you want to be can be extremely challenging when you’re sleep deprived. Not to mention the effect that it can have on your mental and physical health.
Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be like this. According to this week’s podcast guest, sleep coach Leann Latus, we can solve our children’s sleep problems, whatever their age, by making those essential changes so that the whole family is sleeping better.
I’ll be honest- my chat with Leann happened exactly when I needed it. I was struggling with an energetic 3-year-old who had far better things to do than get the rest she needed! She made a huge difference to my family and I know she will to yours.

“You need to be here for yourself. It's not just all about the hustle and the flow and running from this place to another.”- Eleshia Harris
When I launched The Eleshia Show podcast, I knew I could make a real difference in your life.
I knew that breaking through the hustle, chaos and overwhelm, getting clear on what you REALLY want from your life and prioritising yourself was key to feeling fulfilled and enjoying lasting success in business and life.
By combining over 15+ experience as an expert in business and wellness transformation, I knew that I could help you build the lifestyle YOU dream of, even if you’re already juggling a million different responsibilities and often find that you don’t have the mental capacity for anything else.
Over the past 18 months since we launched The Eleshia Show (and now 85 fantastic episodes, I’ve invited 31 female entrepreneurs and experts to share their wisdom and talk about overwhelm, self-sabotage, wellness, business strategy, pregnancy and motherhood and many other topics besides.

Are you living in your best body?
Do you feel confident, vibrant, and enthusiastic about life because you’ve been nourishing your body and mind and prioritising self-care?
Or do you feel tired, sluggish or even overweight? Lacking in motivation or focus? Perhaps you even avoid looking at yourself in the mirror because you know that you’re not going to be 100% happy with the person looking back at you?
So many of us lack confidence in our bodies and struggle with our self-esteem, especially as we get older. If you’ve had a baby or have struggled through an injury, illness, or burnout, it’s likely to be even worse.
And of course, I know that as a female entrepreneur or business owner, you’re juggling so many different responsibilities that doing something about it can feel close to impossible.
How can you make a positive change to your diet, find time for that workout or even start practising meditation if you barely have a moment free??
But according to this week’s podcast guest, researcher, nutritionist, and master healer Laura-Lee Bowers, we’ve got it all wrong.
Living in our best-ever bodies and enjoying our best-ever lives comes from self-empowerment, not by following fad diets or focusing solely on our physical selves.
By looking deeper within ourselves, considering our psychological, emotional and spiritual selves first, we can clear away those blockages then heal, grow and get that much closer to fulfilling our potential.

If I asked you what your perfect year would look like, what would you say?
Would you tell me that you dream of turning your side hustle into a highly profitable full-time income? Or launching that ambitious and exciting dream project that you still haven’t found the time to implement yet?
Perhaps you’re sick of feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and pulled in a million different directions and want to start prioritising self-care, spend more time with those you love and focus on feeling fulfilled, not sick of the drudgery of everyday life.
If so, you’re going to love this episode of the podcast!
With Christmas and New Year just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to outline your non-negotiables, live according to your values, and follow your dreams so that you can make 2023 your best ever year.
Yes- it’s time to focus on what truly matters, find time to pause and relax and make space in our lives for what makes us shine instead of trying to be superwoman all the time.
THIS is how we can be the happiest parents, partners, friends, and entrepreneurs and enjoy a healthy, rich and meaningful life. I’ve shared so many personal experiences and tips in this episode that I know you’re going to love it. 😍

Do you ever feel too drained at the end of your day to take care of yourself and enjoy the life that you just worked to be able to afford?
You simply have no energy left to go out and socialise with your friends, go to that yoga class, or do anything else for yourself.
Besides, there’s so much to do when you’re a female entrepreneur!
You have goals to achieve, opportunities to chase, and all those projects you need to tick off your list. That’s not even mentioning any other responsibilities you have outside of your career and your business!!
You’re determined to be the best that you possibly can so you find yourself working too hard, saying ‘yes’ to projects that don’t light you up, and then wonder why you feel so unhappy, unfulfilled, stressed, or even totally burnt out.
But as this week’s podcast guest, Rachel Carey-McElwaney says, if you can become more intentional about the life you’re living, start focusing on what boosts your energy, find balance, set boundaries and take care of yourself, you can start living your most fulfilled life.
She’s a Certified Leadership Coach, HR Expert, and owner of Emerging Lotus Coaching, and knows first-hand exactly what burnout can feel like.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, lack focus, or want to start enjoying your life make sure you listen to this episode.

Have you ever noticed how, when life feels hectic and stressful, something always seems to happen to make matters worse?
You were doing so well, taking care of yourself by eating well, trying to get enough sleep and taking some downtime.
And you DID feel like you were managing all the madness happening.
But then, out of the blue, you get sick.
Perhaps you get such a stinking cold that you can barely move for days. Or your stomach suddenly becomes ultra-sensitive and it feels that everything you eat leaves you feeling uncomfortable, bloated or even having digestive issues.
Or you’re sooo tired that getting out of bed seems like the most insurmountable mountain to climb.
It seems unfair, doesn’t it? You have so much going on and then THIS?!?!?!
But it’s hardly surprising because there’s a strong connection between our mental and physical health. When you feel stressed or overwhelmed by anything in your life, your immune system takes a knock, your body falls out of balance and yes, more often than not, you get sick.
In this episode of the podcast, I’m going to open up about this taboo topic and share the truth about what happened to me when I became ill a few weeks ago and nothing seemed to work, then how I reclaimed my health.
This is a topic that we often don’t talk about as female entrepreneurs and business owners despite how important it is. Don’t miss this eye-opening episode!

When you’ve had a long, hard day juggling all the demands and responsibilities of your life, what do you do to relax?
Do you collapse onto the sofa, breathe a huge sigh of relief and pour yourself a ‘well-deserved’ glass of wine? Or perhaps one glass turns into several and before you know it, you’ve drained the bottle completely.
Maybe you’re just the type of person who loves to enjoy a drink or two with friends or family. But soon find that you’ve had too much and struggle with a hangover or brain fog for days afterwards.
If so, this week’s episode of the podcast with sobriety coach, advocate, and a mixed media artist, Krysty Krywko is exactly for you.
Even if you’re not out drinking binge drinking in the clubs or don’t consider yourself an alcoholic, you may have fallen prey to our ‘wine o’clock’ culture and find yourself relying on alcohol far more than you should.
You might drink to unwind, cope with difficult emotions, help you deal with stress or overwhelm or simply feel lonely or bored. I know I certainly did after my mum passed away.
But if we continue along this slippery slope, we could find ourselves in trouble.
Besides the fact that it makes us look older and more tired, our immune systems struggle, our energy levels and motivation decline, our risk of serious health conditions and even premature death increase and, of course, our bank balances also suffer.
It doesn’t have to be this way. If we give ourselves permission to break free of societal pressures, prioritise our wellness and acknowledge, accept and work through our difficult emotions, we can break free.

If you’re feeling like life is hard and achieving your goals is so far away, that’s 100% okay.
We’re often pulled in soo many different directions and forced to deal with so many challenges that can leave us doubting our inner power and ability to achieve our dreams.
We just don’t give ourselves enough credit for everything we’ve been doing on this beautiful journey we’re on.
Now, I’m not only referring to your business here, but the rest of your life.
Despite everything, every day we’re moving towards our dreams like growing our businesses, achieving our financial goals and most importantly, ENJOYING our time here on this earth.
Because being happy is what it’s ultimately about, isn’t it?
We can achieve our business goals, hit a six-figure income, feel like a superwoman and make a real impact in the world.
But if we’re not genuinely happy, what’s the point?
This week, I want to remind you of your inner amazingness. Show you how far you’ve already come and give you the five key questions you need to be asking yourself so you can live a life of abundance and joy.

“We need to do a better job of putting ourselves higher on our own ‘to do’ list.”- Michelle Obama
Do you have kids? If so, you’ll have experienced the pure love and joy you feel when you meet your baby for the first time and then watch them grow.
But there’s another side to having kids that we often don’t discuss. It’s our sense of self.
As this week’s podcast guest, host of The Untraditional Podcast and mom empowerment expert, Myriam Banks shares, overnight we switch from being independent and empowered women to simply ‘mom’.
We’re expected to sacrifice ourselves entirely as we focus on our children, have them glued to our hips 24/7 and spend every waking moment dedicating ourselves to our needs.
If not, we often feel guilty and emotional, believing that we’re ‘bad parents’ if we try to claim some ‘me time’ or prioritise our own needs. We lose self-confidence, forget who we are as women and push our dreams to one side because..well…we’re parents now…
But here’s the thing. We need to be happy too.
We need to give ourselves space to breathe, to reconnect with our ‘selves’ during motherhood and to embrace everything that makes us individuals so we can thrive not only survive.
If not, we could end up stressed and overwhelmed, unable to be the best parents, partners and humans we want to be and even resentful of the pressures of motherhood.
In this episode of the podcast, I chat with Myriam about her experiences of motherhood, why we need to honour ourselves if we want to find joy in our lives and discover some easy ways we can make this happen.

Have you ever paused to consider whether all those tiny (and not so tiny) tasks that you spend your entire day doing are actually what you WANT? Whether you feel pumped about your life or just forcing yourself to get it all done because that’s what you’re supposed to be doing?
According to this week’s podcast guest and certified coach with a background in Positive Psychology, Jaime Mann, we're all really good at shutting out our own potential and limiting ourselves to thinking inside the box whilst letting our true desires pass us by.
But by shifting our mindset, letting ourselves off the hook, and asking for help, we can go about making those choices that are right for us.
It’s not going to be easy. We need to stop thinking that we ARE our jobs, businesses, or roles and instead discover what really lights us up inside.
As a busy mum, female entrepreneur and business owner, partner, friend, and carer who has overcome burnout and rediscovered the power of clarity, focus and self-care, I loved this conversation and I know you will too.

Did you know that around 1 in 5 pregnancies ends in miscarriage?
That equates to around a quarter of a million losses every year in the UK and even more in the US.
Yet despite how common it is, many women don’t share their experiences or the grief, trauma, and heartbreak they have experienced.
We often feel that we’ve failed or that we’ve somehow caused the pregnancy loss or haven’t yet announced the pregnancy so cannot express our grief to others.
Then we’re faced with dealing with a medical system that often isn’t set up to address the emotional trauma, undergo medical procedures, and deal with our sense of loss, all whilst doing our best to hold our lives together, despite the overwhelming emotions we’re experiencing.
I know exactly how distressing this can be because before I had my daughter Elessandra, I suffered from a miscarriage too and found that there was very little support for women like me.
That’s why, when I sat down with Leadership Consultant and certified Integral Development Coach and founder of Time to Flourish, Debbie Danon, and discovered that she had experienced the same, I decided to dedicate an entire episode of the podcast to talking about what we have both been through.
Hopefully, this will give strength to other women and help them work through their loss with the support and understanding of community. ❤

When it comes to starting and growing your own business as a female entrepreneur, you know that you’re going to face challenges.
After all, following your dreams and passions takes a lot of bravery and hard work, especially in a male-dominated world.
Then not only do you face the usual challenges like perfecting your vision, getting clear on your offering, putting all those pieces of the marketing puzzle into place and dealing with admin, financial pressures, economic conditions and so on…
…you’re also juggling EVERYTHING else in your life….
Now, if you’ve read any small business books out there, you’ve probably been encouraged to stay strong, push through and focus on your goals because YOU are the only one who can make this happen.
But it can be tough. Lonely, even.
It can often feel like it’s you against the world.
That no one else is facing the challenges that you do.
Or even worse, that everyone else has got everything under control and you’re clearly not cut out for this female entrepreneurship thing if you haven’t.
As you’ll discover from listening to this week’s episode with female entrepreneur and founder of The COVN collective, Ghaz Samandari, this is completely false.
It’s only by building community, leaning on the love and support of others, and having those eye-opening conversations that you can unleash the powerful entrepreneur within and make your business dreams happen.
As Serena Williams famously said, “The success of every woman should be the inspiration to another. We should raise each other up. Make sure you’re very courageous: be strong, be extremely kind, and above all be humble.”
You’re going to LOVE this conversation because Ghaz has faced many challenges in her life. Yet she has broken out of her comfort zone, found her purpose, and is now connecting with women from all walks of life so they can release their inner awesome.
It’s inspiring stuff and I can’t wait to hear your feedback!

Have you ever dreamed of starting your own podcast? Or growing your podcast so that it can help you connect with your audience, add even more value, build community and grow your business?
If so, you’re certainly not the only one. Podcasting remains one of the most powerful ways you can market your business, attract and nurture leads and make a real difference to those you serve.
This is exactly why I decided to launch The Eleshia Show.
I know that I could teach female entrepreneurs to get clear on their goals and then actually take action (without overwhelm!) so they could achieve the freedom and financial success they deserve.
With my corporate project management background, wellness knowledge and understanding of the unique challenges we all face, I knew how valuable this would be for you.
But let’s be honest. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy.
I had to overcome all those fears that were holding me back. I had to get strategic about content and marketing, even though I had zero experience. I needed to put myself out there in the world and turn to female mentors who could help me achieve the podcast success that I knew I deserved.
That’s why I was so excited to welcome entrepreneur and podcast expert, Kristin Molenaar to this podcast for this week’s episode.
With her mantra of "work less + make more", alongside her vast podcast marketing experience, she knows exactly how to make being a podcast guest deliver maximum results for your business and your audience.
I know you’re going to love her no-nonsense, uncomplicated approach! ❤

Being a female entrepreneur and growing your business can often feel like a very solo journey.
After all, it’s YOU who has the dream, YOU with the passion and vision to bring your wisdom and skills to the world and help transform lives.
And despite any valuable help or support you might have from your partner, family, or friends, it’s ultimately YOU who needs to juggle all your responsibilities, invest in yourself and claim the health and prosperity you deserve.
But this isn’t necessarily true.
Over the years, I’ve learned that connecting to other female business owners, having those key conversations, and really leaning on the community can make the difference between success and growth.
There’s nothing like chatting to someone who actually gets your vision, understands exactly what you’re trying to build, and knows the unique barriers that stand between you and your dreams.
That’s why, in today's episode of the podcast, I decided to make a super exciting announcement- we’re starting a female entrepreneur community!
I want to be 100% present for the wonderful women who I serve and help us grow together.

We’ve all been there. We’ve all found ourselves being pulled in all directions and placed under incredible amounts of pressure from work, our personal lives, financial problems, grief and so on.
If you’re anything like Mairi and I used to be, you probably tell yourself to stop being so weak, pull yourself together and push on through.
Those so-called empowering messages we often see online and the culture we live in means that we believe that if we want to make it in business or life, this is our only option.
But when we do this, we’re doing ourselves a huge disservice. 😢
We’re leaving ourselves vulnerable to stress, overwhelm and burnout. We can’t give our best at work, in our businesses or to our family and friends. Worst of all, we can’t ensure that we’re taking care of ourselves so we can shine brightly in the world.
There’s another option. 🥳
If we can honour what it means to be a woman, tune in to our female cycles and get strategic when it comes to how we arrange our schedule, we can make magic happen.
In this week’s episode of the podcast, I sit down with previous podcast guest and great friend, Mairi Taylor to chat about how this knowledge has changed our lives and how you can do the same.

Imagine that you’ve just faced a situation that has left you emotionally charged.
You’re feeling sad, angry, frustrated, jealous or rejected and feel completely overwhelmed with it all.
Perhaps you’ve just received terrible or challenging news. Faced backstabbing or gossip at work or between friends. Lost a parent or loved one. Had a fight with your partner. Or even lost out on that incredible business opportunity that you had your heart set on.
What do YOU do?
Do you push through those emotions, try to ignore them and just keep yourself distracted with work, growing your business or anything else that keeps you busy?
Or just close up, put on a brave face and keep marching on like nothing has happened and you don’t care anyway.
Or even feel totally destroyed, demotivated, and can barely move from your seat, let alone think about your business strategy or what to cook for your evening meal.
As I share in this week’s solo episode of the podcast, whilst you can’t control what is going on in the world, you CAN choose how to react to those emotional challenges so they don’t destroy your day, your week or force you to give up on your dreams.
Take it from me- when my mum passed away, I went into full distraction mode. I kept burying my emotions until my physical and mental health was in tatters, my body was inflamed and I struggled with my fertility. Then I had to spend the next 18 months trying to undo all the damage I’d done.

Are you feeling stressed, drained or even overwhelmed by everything that is happening in the world right now?
I know I’ve certainly been feeling the pressure.
Then when we’re in this space and try to gain clarity, plan ahead or set goals, we feel like we’re fighting a losing battle. Because what’s the point of even trying when we have no clue what lies around the corner?
But here’s the truth…
YOU CAN STILL DO IT!
When you have some form of clarity and a plan of action, you can still get to where you wanna be. If you can stay focused on that plan, then you’ll achieve real success in your business and life.
Focus on what you can control and the rest will come.
In this week’s episode of the podcast, we’re going to take a step back and learn how to take better care of ourselves so we can stop feeling so overwhelmed and grow our businesses, even during these uncertain times.

If you want to achieve real success in your business, grow beyond your wildest dreams and boost that bank balance, you’ll need to have a clear vision.
Once you have that vision you can bring it to life by believing in yourself, outlining your strategy then putting in the work.
As you’ve no doubt discovered already, it’s not always easy.
You’ll face multiple challenges, self-doubt is likely to pop up and you’ll need to take numerous risks along the way.
As a female entrepreneur, you’re also juggling so many other responsibilities like a partner, kids, a home, and perhaps a ‘regular’ job so overwhelm and burnout could also stand between you and your dream.
That’s why you must take time to stop, reflect and celebrate every win, no matter how big or small.
The only problem is, so many of us forget to do it!
So for this week’s episode of the podcast, I want to you grab a pen and a piece of paper, relax and listen. By taking time to celebrate yourself, you’ll give yourself the momentum you need to keep pushing forward, beat overwhelm and remember what truly brings you joy.

Do you ever feel that you’re stuck in a rut when it comes to your clothing? You wish you could be as stylish and ‘pulled together’ as some of the other female entrepreneurs you see.
You find yourself living in leggings and jeans, wearing the same old dull colours or struggling to find anything that you feel confident in.
Even if you do try something new, nothing seems to fit you properly or enhance your best features. More often than not, you can find yourself believing that it’s your fault, that your body is ‘strange’ and you should just give up with the image makeover.
If you’re over 40 like many of us are (or have had kids), the problem can seem even worse. Your body is changing and you’re not sure how to make the most of your gorgeous figure.
I can certainly relate. I’ve found myself pulling the same old colours (purple or neutrals) from the cupboard and sticking to leggings and jeans since I had my daughter. But I’m ready for a transformation and I’m sure you are too.
That’s why I sat down with personal style expert and body confidence coach, Brandi Johnson for this week’s episode of the podcast to find out how we can claim more joy, confidence and abundance in our lives and get that wardrobe that elevates our style and reflects who we are becoming.
She shared with me so many truths about our clothes, trends and choices and I can’t wait for you to hear the same.

Do you ever get sick of the way you get treated? You feel hurt or violated by the way you’ve been treated, overwhelmed by the multiple pressures on your shoulders, or feel like you’re expected to say ‘yes’ to everything.
If you’re nodding your head, it’s time to redefine your personal boundaries.
Boundaries empower us and keep us safe. They ensure that people treat you the way you want to be treated and that you can live life exactly how you want to, instead of feeling like you have no choice but to deal with everything going on in your life.
Most importantly, they release us from stress, give us a much-welcomed breather and help us become the masters of our own ships.
After the emotional rollercoaster of the last few weeks, I realised that I need to do exactly that. I knew it was going to require bravery but by doing so, I could ensure that I was OK.
In this episode of the podcast, I want to share with you what I’ve decided to do to redefine my boundaries (and why I’ve come to this point.) As a confirmed people-pleaser, this isn’t always easy but it has already made a big difference to my stress levels and focus on my business and the future.

We all love music, don’t we?
I only have to put on my favourite tunes, crank up the volume and sing and dance if I want to feel amazing.
Or listen to my late mum’s favourite songs if I want to remind myself of her love for all those years and feel grateful.
Or pop on those songs from the playlist I created for my birth experience if I want to go right back to that emotional, incredible time when I finally met my daughter, Elessandra.
But it’s not always easy.
Sometimes the songs that used to bring us joy trigger difficult feelings of grief, suffering and powerlessness and leave us unable to move through. You’ve probably experienced the same if you’ve lost a loved one and I know I certainly did when I lost my mum.
That’s why I was so excited to have this week’s podcast guest, Marlys Woods on the virtual couch to talk about how she uses her love of music, relationships and people to help those who seek emotional healing.
She shares so many fascinating insights into music and how it can be used therapeutically for everyone, no matter what challenges they are facing.
If you’ve ever felt shivers when listening to a song, don’t miss it!

Do you ever feel like, as a woman, the world has control over you and not the other way around?
Perhaps you’ve been a victim of sexual trauma. You’ve experienced difficult or painful gynaecological examinations from people who don’t seem to ‘get it’.
Or, like me, you’ve encountered unsympathetic and even rude medical practitioners as you struggle with your fertility, suffer from a miscarriage, or attempt to access birth control?
Maybe your smear test (pap smear) has left you feeling uncomfortable, your doctor touched you without asking or you felt vulnerable, exposed, and powerless.
As this week’s podcast guest, sexual and reproductive trauma expert, Lindsay Nelson shares, we need to reclaim our power by standing up for our reproductive choices and ownership of our bodies.
By communicating our needs, giving ourselves grace and asking for what we need, we can all gain a sense of empowerment that doesn’t just ensure we can reclaim our bodies but can also unleash our inner strength and confidence so we can step into our most awesome selves.
Lindsay is the founder of Repro Empowerment, the Empowerment Coaching and Awareness in Repro & Sex Health & Rights organisation that shares how self-advocacy and reproductive choices can transform your life, just as it did hers.

Do you ever take the time to reflect on just how incredible you are and how far you’ve come?
It’s all too easy to forget that once, your business was nothing more than a spark of inspiration, an idea, a dream that you hadn’t yet breathed life into. Whether your intuition told you that you could do it or you were overwhelmed by fear and self-doubt, you still stood up and started moving forwards. I want to congratulate you! I think you’re pretty amazing.
Getting from an idea to a fully-fledged profitable business that allows you to make a real difference in the world isn’t easy. Even more as women. Not only do we need to face the usual challenges that men do, but we also need to balance our multiple responsibilities.
We find ourselves reading blog posts on female entrepreneurship, listening to podcasts, watching videos, or reading books on productivity and learning how we can make it work. I’ve become somewhat of an expert over the years, believe me!!
But there’s also something we often don’t think about...Our periods!!

And much much more!

“It is so liberating to really know what I want, what truly makes me happy, what I will not tolerate. I have learned that it is no one else's job to take care of me but me." Beyonce Knowles
When we know what makes us happy, we can move forward with our personal goals and ambitions and start living a rich and fulfilling life.
But all too often, our circumstances get in the way.
We find ourselves struggling with grief. Or trapped in difficult relationships. Or even working our butts off in 9-5 jobs that don’t bring us any kind of fulfillment. Or simply putting other people’s needs before our own and wondering why we never feel happy.
Instead of pushing forward, we put our own dreams on the backburner until we feel that we have the ‘space’ to make them happen.
As I’ve learned over the years, this never ever works.
All too often, we end up missing out on the opportunities that are all around us or even ending our lives thinking, ‘what if??’
Over the past few weeks, I’ve faced the anniversary of my mother's death and my miscarriage, my husband’s grandmother has passed away and one of my closest friends also cruelly lost her mother.
It’s been a tough time. But it’s reminded me that life really is too short to put our own needs last. We need to take time out, consider what we really, truly need then take the brave step to make it happen.
In this solo episode of the podcast, I’ll be explaining exactly how you can do this, plus sharing some personal stories about why you should make this happen TODAY before it’s too late.

I’ll also be getting vulnerable explaining the struggles I’ve faced over the last few weeks with grief and loss.

Getting pregnant and having a baby is much harder than we all think.
According to the UK National Health Service (NHS) website, about 84% of couples will conceive naturally within a year if they have regular unprotected sex.
This means having intercourse every two or three days for couples who have been trying to conceive for three or more years without success. Or put another way, the likelihood of getting pregnant within the next years is one in 4 (or less)
Are you as shocked by these numbers as I was when you read them? Perhaps it gives you some reassurance that if you’re struggling to get pregnant, you’re not the only one.
Infertility affected me too. I suffered from polycystic ovaries, scarring, blocked fallopian tubes AND fibroids which prevented me from having the baby I dreamed of. Then when I finally did get pregnant, I suffered a traumatic miscarriage.
As Sherry and Perry mentioned in episode 60, this journey through infertility affects all areas of our lives, including our mental health, physical health and even relationships.
But my story has a happy ending.
After investing in myself, even when it was crazy hard, I eventually fell pregnant and I’m now mum to a bouncing, energetic 3-year-old.
In this week’s episode of the podcast, I’ll be sharing some of the lessons I learned so that hopefully you can benefit too.

When we are kids, we tend to believe that we’re invincible, especially if we had a relatively happy childhood.
We think that nothing bad will ever happen to us, that life is one big adventure and that those who we love will always be there for us.
But unfortunately, life doesn’t work that way.
I enjoyed a wonderful childhood, spoilt by the love of a beautiful woman who sacrificed so much to be there for me and my brothers. She was young and alone, but never let that affect us as we were growing up. She gave us everything she could, heart and soul whilst encouraging us to believe in ourselves and chase our dreams.
Then a few years ago, my life crumbled when she was diagnosed with cancer, battled fiercely and eventually passed away.
Over the years, I’ve struggled with my grief, feeling broken and empty because I missed her so very much. Both her birthday and the anniversary of her death were especially hard so I retreated into my shell and did what I could to survive somehow.
But this year, I decided to do something different and record a very special podcast episode- a message for my mum. I open my heart and share everything I’m grateful for, everything I regret and encourage you to do the same.
Make sure you don’t miss this emotional episode if you too have struggled with grief or loss, whether that’s losing someone to cancer, the break up of a relationship, financial difficulties or anything else.

Did you wait before you tried to have a family? Perhaps you wanted to focus on your career, become more financially stable or achieve some of your life goals before settling down.
You believed what we all believe. That if you simply decide to have kids, the magic will happen. You’ll get pregnant, start painting the nursery and celebrate your new arrival a few months later.
But what they often don’t tell us is that fertility can be a complex thing. It often doesn’t happen so quickly or easily and we can find ourselves thrust into a world of doctors and nurses, hospitals and invasive treatment.
That’s only mentioning the physical impact. Because it can be an emotional time that challenges our relationships with our partners and ourselves.
I know exactly how it feels because I’ve been there. I’ve battled infertility, suffered a miscarriage and struggled with the doubt, insecurity and soul-crushing feeling of blame.
So have this week’s podcast guests, life coach Sherry Samuels and her wife, Penny.
They too have battled infertility, experienced the internal struggle and understand how to build our connections with ourselves and others to get through this difficult time.
Sherry is the founder/owner and Certified Life Coach of Chrysalid Transformations, LLC, public speaker and educator, she teaches women how to get in touch with their authentic voice using compassion, curiosity, risk and trust and create a life that feels amazing.

“Challenges are gifts that force us to search for a new center of gravity. Don't fight them. Just find a new way to stand.”- Oprah Winfrey
We all face challenges. They’re part of the rollercoaster of life and push us to think about what really matters to us.
We can use them to our advantage, focusing on how we can improve our self-care, build our resilience and emerge emotionally, mentally, and physically stronger.
Or we can surrender, continue to feel overwhelmed, and miss out on this precious opportunity for personal growth.
Even when faced with extreme pain, grief, trauma, loss or uncertainty, we can get through.
Fostering this mindset is especially important at times like these. As I mentioned in this week’s email, this week has been particularly eye-opening for us all.
We’ve already endured so much over the last few years and yet life always brings surprises our way. It can often feel unfair, especially if we’re already juggling multiple pressures as friends, parents, partners, and business owners and female entrepreneurs working to grow our businesses.
That’s why I’ve dedicated this week’s episode of the podcast to explore how we can handle these challenges. By opening up about our feelings about grief, loss, infertility or uncertainty, listening to the signals our bodies are sharing, and then ensuring we’re taking care of our bodies and minds as best we can, we can get through.

Imagine if you could be happy today. Yes, today!
That regardless of the stress you’re under, how worried you feel about your finances or business, or the grief or heartbreak you’re working through, you could find that inner peace and joy that helps you shine.
I know…I know…it sounds unachievable.
Maybe you’re even thinking that this is completely unreasonable considering what has been happening in your life lately.
But as today’s podcast guest, Ronja Sakata, the ‘Queen of Joy’ says, life is short and we should live it to the full. Being here, being present and making the most of every moment is key to our happiness.
That doesn’t mean that we have to be perfect or try to pretend that we’re something that we’re not. After all, we all have our grumpy, hormonal, frustrated days.
But we can choose how the people we surround ourselves with, how we show up in the world and the positivity we attract into our lives if we just make that shift in our minds.
Ronja is a life and mindset coach with a zest for life and a talent for inspiring everyone around her and she’s here to do the same for you today. I loved our conversation and I’m sure you will too!

Money. It’s one of those taboo subjects that many of us women don’t like to discuss.
We grow up with so many negative associations with it that, although we’d love not to think about it, we can’t help feeling pulled in two different directions.
All our lives, we’re told stuff like money doesn’t grow on trees. Or that we have to work hard for it. Or that rich people are bad, selfish, and arrogant.
These negative thoughts and feelings about money stand in our way if we want to enjoy any kind of financial freedom.
Because money is simply a tool that can help us live the kind of lives that we dream of.
I’m not talking about buying that big house, driving a fancy car, living a jet-set lifestyle, or wearing designer clothes (unless that’s also what you want!).
It’s about enjoying abundance.
Giving yourself the freedom to live your life on your terms. To follow your passion projects, love and provide for your family and follow your true calling with joy and happiness.
In this week’s episode of the podcast, we tackle this tricky topic. We sit down with Certified Financial Therapist I™ and owner of Financial TheraPeace LLC, Magdala Adeleke to discuss how we can process our complex emotions around money and uncover the root of their financial behaviors in order to transform their relationship with money and build sustainable wealth for generations.

Hay fever and allergies. Eugh! 🤧
When you’re trying to focus on living your best life, be productive, look after your family, chase your dreams and grow your business, they can really suck.
If you’re sneezing, your nose is dripping, your eyes are red and itchy and you feel exhausted, you’re hardly in your best shape, are you?
Even if you take hay fever or allergy medication, it’s not like flicking a switch and getting back to ‘normal’ because they do have their side effects. Stuff like drowsiness, headaches, nausea and having a dry mouth...
I’ve battled those hay fever demons for as long as I can remember and seen the impact it can have on every area of my life.
But when I decided to take my fertility into my own hands, I learned that there is another way to control these frustrating and even debilitating symptoms without feeling like a zombie….
By taking a natural approach.
Today I want to share with you the ten things I’ve done to help ease my hayfever symptoms and feel like myself again. They’re all completely natural and they’ve really made a difference in my family’s lives.
Listen to find out more about controlling your hay fever using natural remedies.
If you’re anything like most women (me included!) you often find yourself running around all day, trying to get everything done.
You have your partner or family to take care of, a household to run and let’s not forget a business that you want to launch or grow as soon as you can.
Then you collapse into bed and wish you could somehow escape and find time to relax and unwind. Or even cross your fingers and hope that you can claim extra hours in your day!!
I understand.
As a busy mum, partner, carer and business owner, I get exactly where you’re coming from.
(And last time I checked, there were still only 24 hours each day!) 🤣
And I know that if I’m not careful, I’ll end up burning myself out.
If I ignore the signals, my business will suffer, my health will suffer, my feelings will suffer and more importantly, I will suffer too.
So in this episode of the podcast, I’m here to remind you that you must take care of yourself. I’m going to explain the seven ways I plan to prioritise my self-care during May so you can do the same.

Did you delay having children because you just weren’t in the right place in your life at the time? Your career was taking off, you weren’t in a financially stable place or you have other life goals that you want to tick off first.
But then you get to your mid or late 30s and you start wondering why nothing is happening.
There are times when you get your hopes up. Your period is a few days late and your heart jumps with excitement.
Maybe, just maybe, it’s finally happening….
Then your heart sinks when you go to the bathroom and notice those tell-tale drops of blood in the toilet bowl.
Did you leave it too late? Have you missed your chance to have children?
I know how traumatic this can be because it happened to be. I was so focused on building my career in the corporate world and taking care of my terminally ill mother that having a baby got pushed way down my list of priorities.
Then when it was finally time, nothing happened.
It was only by taking my fertility into my own hands, being my own detective then trying the holistic route that I was able to get to where I am now- a mother of an energetic, beautiful little lady.
Today’s podcast guest, fertility and obstetric acupuncturist, herbalist, educator and non-practicing doula, Naava Carmen understands just how hard it can be to get pregnant after 35.
Using her unique approach of mainstream and holistic approaches to fertility, she has enabled women just like you and I to have the family they dream of.

“One productivity expert says that for every minute you spend planning, you save 10 minutes in execution. That's a 1000% return, right? If you could get that in the stock market or in any other investment, you do it.”
It’s a pretty exciting thought, don’t you agree?
As a self-proclaimed planning geek, I know that planning is indeed my superpower.
It’s how I manage to manage my life as a busy mum, female entrepreneur, wife, sister and friend. It’s how I ensure I reach my goals without ever reaching burnout whilst also finding the time to live my life to the full.
That’s why I couldn’t wait to invite Alegre Ramos, expert planning coach, homeschooling mum and owner of three businesses including Beyond Your Wildest Dreams (as co-founder) to the virtual couch to share her wisdom.
She knows first-hand that ‘traditional’ planning hacks don’t always work for us women. We often don’t have those ‘chunks’ of time when we can focus uninterrupted and tick stuff off our ‘to do’ list.
Besides, we often don’t have that time to do stuff we want including getting our nails done, taking a long hot bath or just chilling in front of Netflix for a while.
But as she shares in this episode of the podcast, there is a better way. Learn the art of planning for women and you can become your most productive, effective and successful self, no matter what else is happening in your life.

“The first step in crafting the life you want is to get rid of everything you don't."
Have you ever sat down at your desk, ready to conquer the world and unleash your business ideas, only to get distracted?
There’s that big pile of laundry that needs doing, you can’t find those super important documents or you simply can’t get your brain to focus. Before you know it, hours have ticked by and you STILL haven’t got everything done on your ‘to do’ list…
Know what the most simple solution is? Decluttering!
As this week’s podcast guest, Robyn Reynolds says, even if we’re not thinking about all the clutter, it’s still weighing on you because you know that it’s there. If you want to become your most productive, effective self, reach your goals and grow your business, you need to take a deep breath and start the decluttering process.
Robyn Reynolds (aka ‘the diva declutterer’) is a certified professional organiser, female entrepreneur and owner of the fantastic brand, Organise 2 Harmonize. She’s a busy woman just like you and understands what it’s like to feel stressed out about juggling everything.

Being a female entrepreneur and business owner, you know why planning is so effective. You might even have decided to give it a try so you can finally get shit done.
I’ve been reminding you for months why it’s so important if you want to achieve real lasting success in your business. It’s how you gain clarity, remain true to yourself, define your goals then head out there into the world to make them happen.
I’ve also tried to convince you that planning is, indeed, super sexy (although I’m not too sure that you believe me yet!) 🤣
But here’s the deal. Planning can be YOUR superpower too, just as it has been mine.
If it wasn’t for the fact that I’d pushed myself out of my comfort zone and planned how to make this podcast a success, I most likely wouldn’t have been here, celebrating our 50th episode (woo hoo!)
It’s such a huge milestone for me, especially because I procrastinated about it for YEARS before finally taking the leap. What an amazing journey!
In this solo episode of the podcast, I’d like to invite you to celebrate my successes (including being invited to appear on the Goal Digger Show!), how it all happened and how you can do the same using the art of planning.
You’ll learn how to deal with life’s setbacks and frustrations, what to do when you haven’t achieved everything on your to-do list and how to move forward. Enjoy!
If you’ve enjoyed the show, don’t forget to leave me a positive review on iTunes. 😃

Most of us female entrepreneurs and business owners set ourselves goals to ensure we achieve our personal and business goals and reach our full potential.
But have you ever noticed that sometimes this just doesn’t happen?
Despite all our efforts, we find ourselves on a completely different path. Or worse still, we reach our goals yet discover that they’re not exactly what we expected.
We still don’t feel fulfilled. We still struggle to find our purpose.
We still struggle with feelings of unhappiness or confusion even though we set out what we wanted to achieve.
As my guest, author and transformational truth teacher, Kute Blackson shares in this week’s episode of the podcast, we could have it all wrong.
Instead of using our logical minds to find our truth, we need to ignore the ego, surrender, stay open, be willing to acknowledge the truth and then wholeheartedly follow our souls.
By listening to the guidance of the universe (even if it comes in a whisper) we can discover our true purpose and start moving in the direction of what we love.
This is how you make real magic happen in your life and business and achieve the happiness and success you crave.
Listen to this episode of the podcast now then join the conversation on social media.

“It’s not selfish to put yourself first
To protect your energy and mental health preserve”
Vean Ima- poet
As women, we have often been told what we cannot do by the outside world.
We cannot chase our dreams because we’re female or because we’re women of colour. We need to find a husband, have kids and then be content breastfeeding and changing nappies.
We must accept a lack of autonomy and freedom and prioritise the needs of our children and families, ending up with very little time to spend on ourselves.
We absolutely can’t stand up, share our stories, and empower ourselves to live our best ever lives.
But as you’ll discover when you listen to this week’s episode of the podcast with writer, poet, singer and mother of 6, Vean Ima, this is absolutely BS.
We are strong, powerful and beautiful both inside and out and are capable of so much more if we only allow ourselves to embrace it.
As Vean says, all of us are born with a gift. Find it and choose to pursue it and you will change your life.
Listen to this eye-opening episode of the podcast to learn the impact that endometriosis had on Vean’s life, how she proved the doctors wrong by having six healthy children, why we need to focus on what we love too and why she’s sharing our stories to spark meaningful change in the world.
This is the first time I’ve ever done a face-to-face podcast interview- I’m sure you’re going to love it.

“Let food be thy medicine and let thy medicine be food”
This famous quote comes from the father of modern medicine, Hippocrates back in 440 BC.
Despite the fact that many of us seem to have forgotten, this remains true, especially during our perimenopause and menopause years.
If we want to remain energetic, focused, and truly enjoy our lives at midlife, we need to rethink our eating habits.
This has long been a priority for me. Even back in my corporate days, I used to rock up with huge bottles full of green juice (and people used to laugh) and eat as healthy as I could. But as I’ve got older, it’s become even more important to me.
But what does rethinking our eating habits actually mean? How do we support our bodies so we look and feel at our best?
In this episode of the podcast, I speak to our special guest, Louise Carr. She’s a nutritionist and self-proclaimed ‘wholefoods ninja’ and has her own story to share about eating for optimal health at midlife.
When she experienced a health crash at 46, doctors said that she should expect to feel that way at ‘her age’ and put it down to menopause. They didn’t provide any advice or recommendations…
But she didn’t just accept her symptoms. Instead, she focused on retraining as a nutritionist, discovering how she could tweak her food and lifestyle habits to feel better.
Now she’s here to do the same for you.
Whether you’re starting to notice symptoms of perimenopause, you’re struggling with symptoms or you simply want to get clued up for what lies ahead, I know you’re going to love this episode.

Did you know that you’re utterly amazing?
This week, I’m here to remind you of exactly that. Because I’m pretty sure that you forget far too often.
You get so focused on juggling all the demands that life places on you that more often than not, you neglect yourself.
Or worse still, you believe that you have to become ruthless with yourself and the world around you. That you need to be superwoman, push forward on your own and keep saying yes to any opportunities that come your way.
You must work all hours of the day, compromise when it comes to sleep and push your family’s needs aside whilst you work on growing your business.
As you’ll know if you’ve been following me for a while, this is total and utter bull****.
Today, I’ll be sharing the five key truths that will help you get from where you are today, right to where you want to be. We talk about learning to appreciate ourselves, delegation, community, seizing the moment and learning to say no. Don’t miss it!

I recently wrote this quote:
“Sometimes you don't know where a decision is going to take but you make it anyway”
Then I posted it to my stories on Instagram without even thinking about the impact it would have on people who read it.
I had just made a serious life-changing decision and I was still in the moment of actually processing what I’d just done.
This decision got me thinking about my journey into self-development, healing, and self-discovery and brought up all types of emotions.
But it also jogged my memory of all the books I’ve read that have led me on this entrepreneurial journey and why I keep on going back to ensure that I look after myself.
Curious to know what they were? You’re in the right place!
In this episode, I share with you the three incredible books that really changed my life and set me on my way to become a business owner.
No exaggeration- these same books helped me make key decisions in my life and I’m hoping you will take the time to reflect on how they can help you change yours too!

If you’re like me, these are some of the things you may experience from time to time:
Fret not.
You’re not alone.
Whenever these thoughts and impulses threaten to come at me like a tsunami, I go back to the one place that’ll balance things out...
Self-love.
Self-love isn’t an act of selfishness. It’s nurturing yourself and attending to your body by surrendering to its needs. It’s choosing to do the things that refuel you, not drain you of love, energy, or creativity.
Take the time to listen to this quick episode, hopefully, you can use this time to reflect on your own path to self-love. Have you been neglecting yourself lately? Do you put yourself last often? This may be the nudge you need to get back on the right track and to choose self-love over everything else.

Do you feel like you're juggling all the things? You're trying to look after yourself, take care of your loved ones, and build your business. Overwhelm creeps in before you know it and things start to escalate from there.
Do you ever take the time to pause and observe how you’re breathing? Or do you continue and keep going despite the stress and anxiety build-up?
Oxygen is one of the most vital things our body needs. Effective breathing can help us in so many ways such as better sleep, effective food digestion, it can enhance our immune system, decrease our stress levels and so much more.
Without noticing, most of us are shallow breathing daily. We miss the signs that our body shows us to slow down and focus within.
This week, I will be sharing with you the challenges I’ve faced over the past few days, the lessons I learned from them, the different methods and benefits of breathing, and some books and app recommendations for you to try. I talk about the things that many of us forget during these hard times: To relax and breathe.
Join me in Episode 43 to be more mindful of how you’re feeling physically, mentally, and emotionally by using the power of your breath.
Also, stay tuned for our new book: The Women Who Gathered.

Do you ever stop and reflect on everything you’ve achieved?
Or use what you’ve learned to develop a strategic plan that can take your efforts to a whole new level?
If you’re anything like most people, this doesn’t happen very often, except perhaps at New Year or Christmas.
But if you’ve been a female entrepreneur for a while or in the business world, you’ll know that you should do monthly reviews if you want to keep moving forward towards your dreams and achieve your goals.
As I’ve discovered in my own life and business, it also helps to ensure that you stay happy, healthy and connected to your family.
By becoming ultra-strategic in this way, you can stay focused and ensure you’re investing time, energy and money into the stuff that really counts. You remember your ‘why’, stay creative, keep on top of your multiple obligations and can actually enjoy your time.
If you’ve been listening to the podcast for a while, you’ll know that I’m the Queen of Planning (it’s my secret weapon!) and I’ve witnessed how powerful this can be.
That’s why I’ve decided to make this episode the first in a monthly series to make sure you’re not forgetting to use this productivity-hacking trick. Don’t miss it!

If you’re anything like me, you really care about what you’re putting into your body.
You choose the most nourishing food (organic, if your budget allows). You select the highest quality nutritional supplements. You avoid smoking, keep your alcohol intake under control and even ensure you’re getting plenty of natural sunlight to boost your vitamin D levels.
You believe that you are taking care of your health, exactly as you should.
But there’s a secret threat lurking right there, all around you. TOXINS.
They’re in the cleaning products you innocently use around your home, in the cosmetics you slather all over your body and even in the water you drink.
Even though you might not realise they exist, they have a huge impact on your overall health. Over time, these toxins overwhelm your natural detoxification pathways, accumulate in every cell of your body and could trigger symptoms such as brain fog, nervous system damage and even disease.
But you do have control.
You can reduce your toxic load without needing to make huge compromises or break your budget.
In this episode of the podcast, I’m going to explain exactly how you can reduce your toxic load, completely stress-free. We’ll discuss everything you need to know to optimise your health so you can push forward with your business with all guns blazing.

“Never forget that the magic is within you!” - Eleshia Harris
The start of every year gives us a fantastic opportunity for growth, change, and reaching our full potential.
Even if New Year’s resolutions aren’t really your thing, you’ll almost certainly be looking back and recognising just how much awesome stuff you’ve achieved over the past year (both in business and in our personal lives) and hopefully making plans to make 2022 even better!
As Anne Frank said, “What a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives haven’t even happened yet.”
So whatever challenges 2021, let’s come together and welcome 2022 with a fresh set of goals, a sense of purpose and a vision for our lives without compromising our health or happiness.
Focusing on wellness is key here. Because if you don’t take care of yourself, there’s no way you can unleash your full power in your business, personal life, or personal growth.
This week, I’ll explain exactly how to do this as we move forward. I’ll be explaining the top wellness trends, tips and lessons I’ve learned along the way and giving you a word of warning that you absolutely cannot miss! We’ll also cover decluttering, business trends and how to invest in yourself!
Phew! What an awesome way to say goodbye to 2021. Listen to this episode now.

As a female business owner and wellness coach, you’d think that I’m just about pushing hard to achieve your goals. But I’m also a huge believer in taking care of our bodies and minds so we can become our happiest, healthiest selves.
With 2021 coming to a close and 2022 just around the corner, I want to remind you just how essential this is.
If we don’t rest, eat well, sleep well, exercise and truly believe in ourselves, we’re going to struggle. This applies to our lives as female business owners but also as parents, partners, friends and human beings.
Today, I’m here to remind you about how important you and your wellbeing are when it comes to your business. Think of me as your health fairy godmother, if you will.
I’m speaking from experience here. Because I know how tricky it can be to ‘keep all those balls in the air' whilst still pushing for success.
In this week’s episode, I share with you some of my own stories about battling to balance life and business, health and productivity, fighting FOMO and overwhelm, and just all the things life can throw your way.
Listen to the struggles I faced in my journey and why I do the things that I do today.
I also touch on the key points from our most downloaded solo episodes to remind anyone who might need it.

Do you love the magic of Christmas and look forward to it with excitement? Or do you dread all the stress and chaos that often comes with it? This time can be even more emotionally charged if you have lost loved ones or have experienced problems.

Yes - you CAN enjoy this precious time with your family, get into the festive spirit, grab this opportunity to relax AND avoid ever feeling overwhelmed.
Now that Christmas is just around the corner, I decided to explain exactly how you can do this.
In this week’s episode of the podcast, I’ll share with you some tips and strategies I apply during this busy season to enjoy myself without the overwhelm.
I talk about planning for the next 90 days, batching my work tasks (such as recording for this show), having a social media detox, delegation and how to avoid the food coma! Have you ever heard the ‘oxygen mask’ cliche?
That you need to put yourself first if you want to unleash your best possible self into the world and serve others as best you can?
When I was a new parent, I heard this all the time.
They told me to take care of myself, make sure I got enough sleep and put my own needs high on my list of priorities so that I could be the best parent that I could (without turning into a zombie in the process!!)
And although I inwardly rolled my eyes at the time, it’s true. For parenting, for running a growing business and for becoming the happiest, healthiest versions of ourselves possible.
Yes, it’s difficult. Yes, you may feel like you’re being selfish. But it works. And I’m living testimony to the fact. I’ve seen how transformative prioritising my own needs can be for my life, my relationships and my business.
This week, I want to show you how this philosophy can benefit your life too.
That’s why I’m excited to share with you this week’s episode which is a recap of the conversation I had with my fellow Pilates teacher Martin Reid.
We talked about the importance of surrounding yourself with supportive people, having different communities, knowing your self-worth, finding joy in what you do, setting the right boundaries, and so much more.
If you’re an entrepreneur who needs help with growing your business, staying on track and gaining the confidence to turn your desires into business growth without burnout, you won’t want to miss this one.
Want to put your goals out there and implement them yourself? I’m kicking off the year with my new programme this coming January: the Winter Business Growth Implementation Academy. It will help you plan, prioritize, get organized, and implement your goals.

“Being strong is admitting when you're not.” - Brooke Siler
As business owners, we try to put on a brave face at all times even if we find ourselves struggling. We believe that we have no choice- that we have to put up and shut up, deal with it all ourselves and push on through regardless. That we are the glue that holds our businesses together and to admit how we feel will leave us looking weak or vulnerable.
But as this week’s podcast guest, the incredible Pilates teacher and author, Brooke Siler shares, why vulnerability matters.
If we truly want to achieve success and happiness in our lives and businesses, we need to be honest about how we feel, ask for help and perhaps most of all, be kind to ourselves.
In this week’s episode, Brooke and I sit down for a refreshingly honest conversation about what it means to be a female business owner. We learn how Pilates helped her regain her best self amidst the problems she faced physically and emotionally, how our hormones can impact our power as entrepreneurs, the power of building genuine relationships and the healing benefits of Pilates.
As the former owner of the award-winning Manhattan Studio re: AB Pilates, author of the New York Times’ Best Seller “The Pilates Body” and with big-name clients that include Kirsten Dunst and Kate Moss, Brooke certainly knows what she is talking about.
Be inspired by Brooke as we shift our mindset, offer ourselves grace and appreciate just how much our body has done for us.

We all want to succeed in life, don’t we?
But all too often, we let fear get in the way.
We procrastinate or get overwhelmed with all those things we will have to tackle to make our personal and professional goals a reality. We’ve got too much on our plates, we don’t have the time, or worse still, we think that we don’t really have it in us.
We self-sabotage with our thoughts or our behaviour and let our dreams and goals slip through our fingers.
However, this fear is all part of the process.
But to finish the race and achieve big things, you must keep your head up, gather the courage and run towards your goal.
You have to ask yourself: Am I pushing myself towards my goal? Am I doing enough to keep moving forward and achieve things for my growth?
By identifying your unique patterns of behaviour, you can identify strategies to both stop them in their tracks and create new healthy habits that foster confidence and success.
In this week’s episode, I’ll be sharing five strategies that will help you stop self-sabotaging and move forward with your life. I use these strategies when I am getting to a place where my inner critic is becoming so loud that I just want to sit down and do nothing.
Join me as I talk about procrastination, overwhelm, and overcoming your fears.
If you want to talk business, wellbeing, lifestyle, mindset, goals, and scaling organic growth, don’t miss it!

It’s never easy to step out of your comfort zone, is it?
It’s far too easy to take the path of least resistance and allow your doubts and fears to control your future. That’s what I did for a long time when I avoided starting this podcast.
However, as I discovered for myself, if we want to grow and reach success, we need to step out of our comfort zone and see things from a fresh perspective. There’s simply no other way.
It wasn’t easy. In fact, it was scary as hell!
But there’s no way I’d be where I am today, enjoying this level of global success if I hadn’t taken that first step, faced my fears and pushed myself.
My guest for today, Nikki Rogers is testament to the power of following your dreams and breaking out of that comfort zone.
By setting her mindset, focussing on her goals and dreaming big, she has become CEO of Bladen Group and host of the Women Thriving in Business podcast. In this episode, she talks to us about her experiences, her inspiring journey as an entrepreneur, her company’s vision and purpose, what pushed her to start her own business and how she started her podcasting journey.
Join us in Episode 28 as we talk more about goal-setting, time management, visioning workshops, maximizing your income, and so much more!

We know that we need to eat a delicious, balanced diet full of fresh produce if we want to enjoy optimal health. We hear it on the news, we read it in blog posts and we understand that what we put into our bodies matters.
But how often do you make compromises for the sake of convenience?
How often do you pull that ready-made (and perhaps even organic) pizza from the freezer because you’re short on time, you’ve had a stressful week or you just can’t be bothered to cook?
It isn’t our fault. We live busy lifestyles and the convenience that these foods offer has changed our lives.
But by making these choices, we are neglecting our health. We’re needlessly putting ourselves at greater risk of hormone problems, sleep problems, illness and much more besides by exposing ourselves to the additives, preservatives and other chemicals that these foods contain.
Even adding that quick squirt of ketchup to our organic meal will undo all your hard work.
In this week’s episode, I’m joined again by women’s health coach, hypnotherapist and personal trainer, Pamela Windle to discuss why we need to open our eyes, reduce our exposure to chemicals and go back to how we used to cook and eat.
We’ll be discovering how our food choices impact our hormones, mood, sleep and our overall wellbeing and why many of us still choose to use ready-made foods in our kitchens.
We’ll also explore the role of gut health when it comes to wellness, explore the benefits of batch cooking and food prep and share some alternatives for the plastic items we use every day.
Join us for this episode to learn how YOU can take action and make the change to keep your body healthy as you age.

Do you ever feel like the world is treating you unfairly or discriminating against you?
That everywhere around you, people are casting horrible judgements on you for being female, a solo parent, still single, LGBTQ+, a certain ethnicity or religion, having a funny accent or whatever else they choose to pick up on first.
This can really hurt. It can make you feel afraid, isolated and anxious. It affects your self-esteem, can destroy your self-confidence and can even make you feel ashamed of who you are.
And although we have come a long way when it comes to discrimination and racism, we’re definitely not even close yet.
It still happens every single day across the world. It happens to me.
But unlike before, we’re not willing to accept this. We’ve learned to stand up, protect ourselves and fight for what we deserve. It isn’t easy, but the experience makes us stronger than ever.
That’s exactly what we’ll be talking about in this episode. I’ll be sharing stories with you about the discrimination I’ve faced throughout my life as a black woman, including why a company’s culture made me decide to start working on my own. I’ll also explain the key role that boundaries play when learning to respect others.
If you’re also someone who wants to step out of their comfort zone, follow their dreams, and start their own business, you’re going to love this episode.

Answer this question for me: WHY do you want to build your business?
What are you doing all of this for? And why do you want to have a balance between making your career and financial dreams come true and having a healthy, happy personal life?
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been focussing on topics such as believing in yourself, creating productive systems, accountability, time blocking and looking after your own needs.
But there is one key message that I want to bring home to you in this episode.
You need to start with you.
When you can put yourself at the core of your business, find what motivates you and take action (however small) you can beat overwhelm and procrastination and start making your dreams come true.
I've always believed that if you are not well, you have no business.
Therefore, you need to invest in yourself and your own well-being so everything else will follow.
Start small. Make a decision. Make a 1% change. And start making it happen!
In this week's episode, I’m here to help you do just that. I’ll be sharing my personal insight, strategies and stories that can help you enhance your well-being and build your business.
We’ll be talking about everything from how I do my internal reset, how journaling helps clear the mind and refresh the soul and how you could get clear on your desires, goals, and dreams. Don’t miss it!
You can also check out otherrelated episodes on how you can invest in yourself to keep your businesses thriving.

Do you ever wish you could control your schedule so it couldn’t control you?
That you could maximise the time you have, stay completely on top of your game, get stuff done and find time for yourself and your family too?
One of my favourite productivity hacks- Time Blocking- will definitely make a difference to your life!
It’s the perfect tool for you if you juggle multiple responsibilities, spend too much time responding to emails and messages, battle constant interruptions or struggle to find the mental space to grow your business dream.
In this episode, I’ll be explaining everything you need to know about time blocking and how I use it to optimise my time and keep my life beautifully balanced (well, I try!)
I’ll be revealing how I spend my days envisioning, planning, and dreaming of tasks that need to be done and how I can take action in doing it.
I’ll also be sharing info about the project management tools, applications and websites I use to help me prioritize my tasks, get my work done and move on to my next goals. By using them, I know I’ll still have the time and energy to see my family and friends whilst having the satisfaction that I’ve got stuff done!

"You are the most important thing in your business because you are the driver to get the things that you want to get done.” - Eleshia Harris
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word ‘accountability’?
Like many others, you probably think of business accountability. Saying that you’ll do something, then following through and getting it done. Taking responsibility for your actions, behaviour, performance, and decisions when you’re running your business and ensuring your projects and ideas reach their full potential. Pushing yourself forward to achieve your dreams.
But it can also refer to our personal lives. Making sure we are there when our kids need us, that we get those essential tasks ticked off our lists, finding time for self-care and all the other responsibilities that we have.
If we don’t keep ourselves accountable, we won’t keep our heads above water. We won’t be able to care for ourselves, our families, and our businesses to the best of our abilities.
That’s why, if we want to achieve real, meaningful success, we need to focus on accountability.
But that doesn’t mean that you have to beat yourself up to get it all done. Nor do you need to sacrifice your sanity or in the process.
You simply need to take your time to reflect, understand, and learn from the mistakes you made in the past. This episode is going to help you do exactly that.
I’ll be talking about what I do to keep myself accountable and explain exactly what external accountability means. You’ll learn how to live more harmoniously by spending more time looking after yourself while building your business and ensuring that you don’t get burnt out!
So what are you waiting for? Listen to the full episode today!

Distractions are the plague of productivity. Whether you're attempting to focus on an extremely important task, working on a project, making plans for your business, or even sorting out your day-to-day life.
When you're trying to be productive, it's easy to get sidetracked by your child, pet, emails, social media, and many other things besides.
But if we want to make our business dreams come true, we need to boost our productivity and get it all done.
Multitasking isn’t the answer. It limits your brainpower, makes you less efficient and you end up making mistakes. Studies say that only 2.5% of us can multitask effectively (link.springer.com/article/10.3758/PBR.17.4.479).
That’s why, if you want to get that stuff crossed off your to-do list in the most effective, efficient way possible, you need to focus on your productivity. Improve your time management, get organized, set priorities, and get a little help from the available technologies around you.
In this week’s episode, I’ll be sharing with you the productivity habits and secrets I use every day to keep my working day flow. I’ll be sharing helpful systems, products, and techniques I personally do to increase my productivity and efficiency in completing day-to-day tasks.
Curious? Then hop on the podcast train and listen to Episode 22!

We as entrepreneurs are constantly multitasking and juggling our commitments to get things done each day.
But when was the last time you assessed yourself and your balance of time and energy?

Feeling tired, overwhelmed, and stressed all the time? Do you doubt yourself, feel helpless and struggle to get things ticked off your ‘to do’ list?
If so, you could be suffering from an increasingly common phenomenon known as ‘burnout’.
It’s caused by chronic stress and is often triggered by a combination of too much stress at work, family responsibilities, financial issues, bereavement, toxic relationships and much more besides.
Many of us end up burnout without ever realising that is what we are experiencing. We are so busy charging around getting stuff done that we never even notice the toll that it’s taking on our bodies and minds.
What we need is the space to recharge and rethink our approach to life. To take care of our bodies and minds, protect our health, and allow ourselves to make our dreams come through.
Opening up the conversation about burnout is a vital part of avoiding it. This is why, in this episode, we will be sitting down and talking about how it happens, the role that imposter syndrome plays, how to handle burnout and how to avoid it in the first place.
Just like Eleshia, you’ll learn why spending quality time with yourself is beneficial, how sleep makes a difference to your body, how to end toxic relationships, and how taking care of your wellbeing can affect your overall quality of life.
Join us for this episode and learn how to think, act and move from a place of love, hit that pause button so you can reflect and listen to what’s within and harness your creative mindset. This is how you can live the best life that you want!
Don't forget to also check out Michelle Rohr's episode - Part 1 & Part 2, as she shares her journey on how she sparked the changes to her mindset and behavior so she could step up and make an impact in the world.

"Sometimes when people talk to carers, they are always so sad about the situation which doesn't always make us as carers feel good. " - Eleshia Harris
Autism is a complex range of conditions that are characterised by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviours, speech, and nonverbal communication.
Affecting the person for life and differing from person to person, it can affect the way they live their lives and interact with the world.
If you’re living with a person on the autism spectrum, you’ll need to have a great deal of patience, understanding, attention and love so you can help provide them with the support they need to thrive.
Although our society is starting to open up and talk more about autism, there is still a certain degree of stigma attached. That’s why we need to communicate more openly about what it means to live with the condition and what it means to care for someone with autism.
In this week’s episode, Eleshia shares her journey as a carer, sister, and mum to her younger brother Jordan who has autism and tells us how she learned to handle fear, develop responsibility and patience and use love to conquer all.
Listen to the episode, get inspired and have a more profound insight as to how it feels to live with autism with gratefulness and appreciation.
It’s also a great episode to start with if you intend to parent mindfully because we can change the world for those with autism. We can teach our children the importance of treating others as equals, regardless of race, gender, economic status, education, sexual orientation and especially differing abilities.

“The crux of a mindful family, if I sum it up in one sentence, is how you interact with your family members so that everyone feels seen and heard.” - Marisa Raymond
Being a parent is a difficult task. Aside from changing nappies, being up all night with a crying baby, and doing your best to juggle everything, it’s constant. You don’t get a second off unless you have childcare or they fall asleep.
But what's even harder is learning how to manage the ups and downs that life may bring and keeping everyone healthy and happy whilst also finding a little time for yourself.
Sometimes you just need to relax, take a deep breath and allow yourself to focus on the things that matter the most.
In this week’s episode, Eleshia is joined by Marisa Raymond, a parenting coach, yoga teacher, and genetic counsellor to learn how mindful parenting can help.
They’ll be discussing what mindful parenting is, why it matters and how it can help your children grow up to be well-balanced, respectful, and loving individuals. Listen to the episode to learn how to calm the chaos in your home proactively, why having family meetings are helpful, how to find the right level of communication with your children, and how to be more intentional and mindful.
And remember- there's no such thing as perfect parents. You don't have to figure everything out all at once. Each day, you’ll learn how to be more mindful in everything that you do and discover how to manage your unique family’s long-term happiness.

“Knowledge is power, but actually understanding when, where, and with whom to share that knowledge is wisdom.” - Rachel Cooper Kennedy
Cancer is one of the most feared medical conditions in the world. So much so that many people avoid mentioning the dreaded ‘C’ word.
But why?
Is it right that we feel ashamed? Or that we whisper about it in conversations for fear of being shunned or pitied by others? Do we really have the information we need to protect ourselves and our bodies?
And what about those on their own cancer journey- do they have someone to talk to about it?
In this episode of the podcast, Eleshia is joined by the inspirational Rachel Cooper Kennedy, a natural lifestyle coach, essential oils guide, and host of the radio programme “Natural Solutions Show”.
They bravely open up the discussion about cancer, sharing all those nitty-gritty details such as the hardest decision that Rachel made in her life, her fears, and dealing with the emotional trauma.
From seeing the symptoms to paying attention to the signals that her body is showing her, she learned to accept the changes in her body that she needed to go through to conquer breast cancer.
Rachel’s story is powerful as it is something that many cancer patients and survivors experience.
Tune in as both women share the benefits of natural oils, green cleaning, academic approach to fasting, oxygen therapy, the keto diet, and how they all work together.
If you know anybody who’s going through their diagnosis and might need deeper support, share this episode with them! The only way we can help is by creating a safe space to talk, providing the support they need, and letting others learn from their experiences.

We often complain that women have it harder than men.
Unlike the opposite sex, we have to face periods, childbirth (if we choose to have children) and menopause. That’s not even mentioning the burden of our daily responsibilities, lower wages, matters of personal safety, discrimination and our emotional ups and downs.
However, it’s these very struggles that make us strong. They force us to stand up for what we believe in, develop coping strategies to help us manage our lives, and tune in to the incredible changes that happen within our bodies every month.
The perimenopause - the years of hormonal transition before menopause- brings us back to our physical selves and reminds us of the cycle of life and what it means to be a woman.
During this natural stage in a woman’s life, you may start to notice that you feel more anxious than usual, that your energy levels are low, that your periods are heavier than normal, that you are gaining weight in all the ‘wrong’ places and that sex isn’t as enjoyable as it was before.
But it doesn’t need to be like this. By equipping yourself with the necessary information and learning to love and accept this transitional stage, you can continue to live your life to the fullest, look and feel fantastic, and still reach your personal and business goals.
In this episode of the podcast, host Eleshia is joined by expert women’s health coach and hypnotherapist, Pamela Windle to discuss how you can stay healthy at different stages of perimenopause and menopause. They explore topics such as oestrogen, detoxification, hormonal shifts, weight gain, stress, diet and everything you need to know to feel empowered at this often challenging time.

How do you spend your time on an average day? When was the last time you paused and appreciated the beauty of each moment in front of you?
Sometimes we believe that we need to stay busy to be productive. That having a lot on our plate will help us feel valued, in-demand, and on top of our game.
But it's not always the case.
Having too many obligations and responsibilities could have the opposite effect and might even harm our productivity, well-being, and relationships.
So, if you have been focused on achieving your goals and being successful in business despite the mental breakdowns, pressure, and physical fatigue we feel, it's time for you to start asking yourself one key question.
How am I?
Remember, self-care is not being selfish. It’s necessary. It helps us maintain a sense of balance, peace, and sanity in an otherwise crazy-hectic world.
You need to give yourself space, check how you feel, and stop feeling guilty about giving yourself this essential time to breathe. Track your period, learn about your cycle and use this information to develop an effective self-care plan that allows you to honour your body and optimise what you can offer the world.
In this week’s episode of the podcast, we’ll be focusing on this stage of overwhelm and listening to Eleshia share her own experience with self-care. She’ll be sharing the eight things you need to check with yourself when you feel that life is getting on top of you so you can feel empowered once again.
And, as I mentioned in this episode, I'm doing a summer programme to help you prioritise, get organised, and implement what you've been putting off in your business. Join the E-Lifestyle Implementation Summer School and be with a community of like-minded women moving towards their goals. Limited spaces are available. I hope to see you in the programme!

Menopause. How do you feel when you hear that word?
For many, the word sparks feelings of anxiety and frustration. We feel old. We feel sad. We are forced to face these unwanted changes in our bodies and do our best to make sense of this new chapter of our lives.
Yet menopause is a natural and gradual process that doesn’t signify the end, but a brand new beginning that magnifies our unwavering strength and the immense power that lies within ourselves.
They are part of the cycle of life that we have to face. Together, we will conquer the world, having a more positive mindset, healthier lifestyle, and better overall wellbeing as we approach this transformational time of our lives.
In the sixth and last part of our series ‘Harnessing Your Female Cycle and Learning to Live in Flow’, Eleshia and Mairi talk about everything you need to know about menopause so you can approach this natural phase of life feeling more informed and can accept and embrace it with enthusiasm and gratitude.
Even if you’re in your thirties and don’t think this applies to you yet, make sure you listen. The shift starts around 35 and you owe it to yourself to understand what might lie ahead.
It’s been amazing to go through each phase of the female cycle and share so much knowledge, information, and inspiration. We hope you enjoyed the series as much as we did.
If you’re new here, don’t forget to listen to the first five episodes of our series so you can benefit from everything we’ve discussed so far.

“Just like puberty, menopause is a completely natural process and transformation that we will be going through.”
- Mairi Taylor -
Have you ever felt so sensitive that even the smallest thing triggered a sudden shift in your mood? Perhaps you find that you sometimes completely lack motivation, even though you’re usually a super-motivated, productive person? -
If this is the case, it could be that you’re reaching the last part of your cycle- the luteal phase. This happens after ovulation between the time when your body is preparing for a potential pregnancy and then when you move towards menstruation. It’s also completely normal to feel tired, weak, or more emotional than usual as this is when PMS (premenstrual syndrome) happens.
In this fifth part of the series ‘Harnessing Your Female Cycle and Learning to Live in Flow’, Eleshia and Mairi talk about this last phase in the female cycle which is the luteal phase.
They discuss the two phases of the luteal cycle, pregnancy, handling our energy shifts through the month, how to get our bodies and minds back in balance, and how we can use this time to our best advantage. They’ll also be touching on a topic that remains relatively taboo yet it’s something that every single woman experiences- the menopause.
By tracking our menstrual cycle and making the best of each phase, we can get more educated, protect our overall health, optimise our productivity and even rewrite our menopause stories.
Remember that there are tons of ways to make the best of every phase, and the whole idea is to become more educated and enjoy each phase of our cycles like never before.
If you haven’t listened to the previous episodes, make sure to go back and listen to all parts of this series and subscribe to The Eleshia Show. Enjoy!

If I asked you when you had your last period, could you give me an answer? What about if I asked you when you ovulated? Could you give me an exact date and share the tale-tell signs with me?
Many women couldn’t.
I certainly didn’t have a clue before I started tracking my menstrual cycle to get pregnant. But once I started, I soon realised that my body had been sharing the signs of ovulation with me all along. I just hadn’t been connected to what my body was telling me.
Better still, I realised that this phase, the ovulatory phase was when I was on fire! I was always bursting with energy, uber-creative, hyper-productive, and ready to rock and roll with whatever project life might throw my way when I hit this phase of my cycle.
By aligning my habits, my schedules, and my focus with this phase, I could feel fantastic and get a ton of shit done!
And you can too!
Listen to this fourth part of the podcast series ‘Harnessing Your Female Cycle and Learning to Live in Flow’ to understand more about what is happening in our bodies at this exciting time.
Whether you’re planning a pregnancy, want to avoid pregnancy, or simply want to maximise your productivity, you need to listen to this episode!
We will be talking about everything from our hormones and our oestrogen-progesterone balance, our changing food choices are affected, which essential oils can help with our energy, and even a few tips to help you take your business to the next level.

For thousands of years, talking about menstruation and menopause was considered taboo.
If women ever did speak about these topics, they did so in code using words and phrases like ‘that time of the month’ or say that they were ‘going through the change’. They had to hide and mask these conversations for fear of being judged, discriminated against, or even outcast.
Thankfully, those days are over.
Today’s generation is more open, and maybe even bold enough to confront issues about femininity and women’s health. Although we still have a long way to go, more of us are having these conversations, embracing our femininity, and taking the steps towards empowering ourselves and others so we can all become healthier and happier.
In this episode of the series ‘Harnessing Your Female Cycle and Learning to Live in Flow’, Mairi and Eleshia tackle these topics, sharing the importance of having these honest conversations so we can overcome the sense of shame, break the stigma and learn to love our flow.
If you’re someone who has been feeling depleted during your menses, they are here to help you save your energy and build a stronger body and mind. You will have all the information you need during your Venus Week to optimize your productivity and maximize your time wisely.
They’ll also share some excellent practical recommendations such as which essential oil blends to use, business strategies you can put into place, and how women can support and empower other women to be the best version of themselves.

Menstruation is one of the most difficult parts for us all every month. Not only do we have the mood swings, low energy levels, discomfort, and cramps to deal with, but we also feel embarrassed, uncomfortable, and even worried that we’ll bleed through.
Many of us try to push through, ignoring the messages that our body is giving us and believing that our periods are an issue- a problem that we need to struggle against and fight through.
It’s even harder when you’re a busy working girl, you have a family or you have other responsibilities that you need to take care of. We rarely see and appreciate how incredible our menstrual cycles are, forgetting that this is a superpower that we carry within us.
In this episode, Part Two of the series, we’ll be focusing on menstruation itself and work towards understanding what is happening in our bodies so we can become more compassionate towards ourselves.
Hopefully, by learning how we can get connected and in tune with our menstrual phase in our monthly cycle, we can help women honour themselves, take care of their bodies, and learn to love their flow.
Aside from empowering women, this is also an opportunity to educate and enlighten those people surrounding them, so don’t miss out on this episode!

How many times have you dreaded your period coming because you worry that you’re not going to feel at your best? You know that your energy levels will be low and that you won’t be your usual confident and productive self?
Imagine if, instead, you could make your menstrual cycle into something to be honoured, celebrated, and welcomed with open arms. Better still, imagine if you could work with your natural flows not against them, and turn your periods into a tool for productivity.
Sounds too good to be true? It’s not.
In this episode, I’m delighted to have Mairi Taylor, also known as the “Menopause Rockstar” joining me as my co-host for this series.
Together, we’ll be discussing exactly how we girls can maximise our productivity, harness our unique female energy and boost our skills during all phases of our monthly cycles.

We all face challenges in our lives, whether that’s struggling with a difficult client, dealing with relationship problems, fixing health or financial problems, or even dealing with grief.
It can often feel like we’re in a never-ending cycle that we will never break free from. No matter what your challenges, remember that each day is a new day, and it’s okay not to feel okay.
In this episode, Eleshia shares the story of one of her biggest struggles; her miscarriage, and how she has learned to face the month of June anniversary with strength, courage, and bravery.
As she explains in the episode, June is also when her mother passed away, which makes the month a time when she often wants to hide away from the world and deal with her grief alone.
But instead, she’s welcoming the month of June with a new mindset: celebrating life, cherishing herself, being committed to honouring what she is feeling, and looking after her wellness and wellbeing. Won’t you join her?

Self-love means accepting yourself as you are right now, embracing your feelings as they are, and prioritizing your physical, emotional, and mental health.
Thelast episode opened my eyes to so many things. We learned about trauma, healing, saying yes to yourself, and just enjoying the small pleasures. As Michelle said, it’s so important to celebrate our small wins, treat ourselves, look out for ourselves and enjoy our journey so it can be just as beautiful as our destination.
In this episode, I’ll be sharing with you exactly what helped me master my mindset so I could reach my personal and business goals, enjoy life (very important!), and make sure I’m OK. We’ll talk about juicy topics like boundaries, forgiveness and investing time in ourselves (and why it matters) then I’ll walk you through how to do a quick wellbeing reset.
Just like the old saying goes, “You can’t love others if you can’t learn to love yourself.”
It’s as simple as starting with the little things like decluttering, getting a subscription box for yourself (here’s an affiliate link to get a free months subscription), treating yourself to a little shopping trip, taking breaks from your screens, and taking care of your mental health as much as you do your body.
Always remember that you don’t have to wait because you already deserve it.

Getting to the destination is more exciting to me than actually being at the destination.
- Michelle Rohr -We’re beings who are constantly looking for new experiences, but we often forget to take the time to really enjoy the process of getting there. So often we feel like we have to suffer in order to grow our businesses, enjoy our lives and take care of ourselves.
Ask yourself these questions: Are you happy with your current workspace? Did you choose to eat your favorite meal today? Did you finally buy that bag you’ve eyeing? If not, why not? What’s stopping you?
Inpart one, Michelle Rohr founder of Secret OWL Society shared with us what happened when she made the decision to take 100% responsibility of her life. By giving herself space to focus on herself, she was able to honor her deepest desires, concentrate on personal development and grow a business that runs on her terms.
This episode is a continuation of our conversation on trauma, why you need to say yes to yourself now, how to maximize our small pleasures, cultivating what you want, changing your mindset to believe you deserve, your desires and so much more.

There is something so powerful about seeing a woman say yes to herself. - Michelle Rohr -
Have you ever noticed your inner voice spelling out exactly what you need to do to achieve your desires, but you’ve ignored it? Perhaps, like so many of us, you’ve felt trapped in an endless cycle of working your butt off, but you have nothing to show for it?
This is precisely the kind of life-changing epiphany that Michelle Rohr, founder of Secret OWL Society had about a decade ago. After a year of feeling burnt out and lacking in personal growth, she decided to break out of her comfort zone and take full responsibility for her life and her actions.
In this episode, Michelle shares her journey on how she sparked the changes to her mindset and behavior so she could step up and make an impact in the world. By giving herself space to focus on herself, she was able to honor her deepest desires and learn what it truly means to be a powerful woman.
She also talks about the key turning point of her business, the important lessons she learned along her journey, and why personal growth should always come first.
As she so wisely says, our goal in life should always be to arrive where we want to be, whether that’s our dream job, ideal lifestyle, or a mission we feel we have to fulfill. But we should also cherish our journey along the way because this is how we grow as individuals and learn new lessons that can last a lifetime.

"My definition of living a meaningful life is waking up every morning focused on what I'm here to create, how I can help somebody, and live my life on purpose.”
- Uma Girish -
Losing someone or something that matters to us is very painful. We experience a storm of emotions that only we can understand. We heal and cope in different ways. You can try to hide your pain, deny or push your grief away but when you don’t face it head-on, it will rear its ugly head and find a way to come to you.
We are all so busy chasing different things. Money, fame, luxuries and the finer things life brings that we often forget that we can’t take these things with us when we’re gone. Instead, we must focus on building our legacy by reflecting on what truly matters to us.
In this episode, we invited Uma Girish to share with us her experiences and her transformational journey on how she overcame her loss and the lessons she learned on the importance of having the right relationship with grief.
She also shares the period of the apprenticeship of her soul, different coping mechanisms, we talked about different types of grief, primary loss and secondary losses, understanding the pain of others, and finding the real meaning and purpose of your life.
Remember that everyone’s journey is different. You’re allowed to mourn your loss in every way. It's okay to fall apart, you don't have to be so strong all the time. But don’t forget that there’s always sunshine after the storm. Time and acceptance can heal you and your soul.
