If cellular changes are found soon enough 90% of chronic illness is preventable. Proven strategies include advanced biomarker testing, evidence-based diet and supplements, intelligent self-care and the right healthcare providers, when needed. Dr. Charles Bens and Prof. Aubrey Mast help guide progressive individuals and organizations alone this health improvement journey on their weekly podcast Healing Trends with Doctor Bens.
Today, more young people are being diagnosed with cancer than ever before.Today, more young people are being diagnosed with cancer than ever before. There has been a 30% increase in youth cancer diagnoses over the past 50 years. Humans are exposed to more toxins today than ever before, including prescription medications and processed foods which contribute to the overall toxic load. However, we discuss some of the larger cancer accelerators on today's episode.
One of the largest cancer accelerators might surprise you, it is a device that you are most likely using to listen to this podcast…the cell phone. Cell phones and many other modern electrical devices have increased the radiation levels we are exposed to on a daily basis. The other big cancer accelerator we discuss is both the Covid infection and the Covid vaccine. A new article written after our taping is entitled Did a Famous Doctor’s COVID Shot Make His Cancer Worse? The Atlantic Magazine-September 24, 2022.
These are two things that are certainly hard to avoid in today's environment; however, we touch on some ways to limit the overall toxic impact on your body from these accelerators:
-Supplements like Chlorella and Vitamin D3
-Early detection screening, like thermography
-Clean healthy diet and intermittent fasting
-Exercise - we discuss interval training
These are potentially controversial topics for some people however, we try to share all the available medical science to allow everyone to make informed decisions.

Did you know one in four Americans suffer from fatty liver disease? On today's episode, we discuss fatty liver disease. Did you know one in four Americans suffer from fatty liver disease? The liver is the only organ that can regenerate itself however, because the liver is so resilient, it can be diseased up to 70% before the current medical tests are able to determine that there is an issue. Fatty liver disease can be very dangerous as it can lead to internal scarring and, ultimately, liver failure.
There are many preventable measures you can take to decrease your chances of suffering with liver issues. We discuss some of these ways more in depth:
Test your iron levels - did you know you can lower your Iron levels by donating blood twice a year?
Exercise - helps by lowering your triglyceride levels
Healthy balance of Omega 6/Omega 3 balance
Reduce prescription medications - there are usually natural alternatives
Healthy gut - 70% of all vitamins and minerals are made in the intestines
Dr. Bens also shares his enhancement liver formula consisting of 6 different supplements which he believes will help to repair liver issues as well as keep the liver healthy. These supplements and the value behind them are explained in greater detail on this episode:
Berberine, high quality chlorella, Vitamin E, Vitamin B complex, NAC and Omega 3.

On today’s episode, we discuss the many vision problems we encounter as we age.In today’s episode, we discuss the many vision problems we encounter as we age. However, do we need to just accept that our vision will deteriorate as we get older? Getting prescription eyewear is so commonplace that no one even thinks about the nutritional deficiencies involved. Today, we tackle this question and talk through some natural ways that one can help to protect and improve their vision.
Specific foods such as carrots, kale, nuts, & seeds can help to provide your body with the carotenoids and other nutrients it needs for healthy eyes. We review many different supplements that you can begin adding to your daily pill packs such as lutein, zeaxanthin, zinc with copper, bilberry, omega 3, and vitamin D, just to name a few.
Many doctors will prescribe a certain medication focusing primarily on a specific health issue; however, this often results in side effects that then need to be treated and managed. Wouldn’t it be great if you could add a food or supplement that would not only help improve the health issue at hand but simultaneously benefit other parts of your body as well? We explore two supplements that will not only benefit the eyes but will also improve and positively affect many other parts of your body.

Is there any amount of alcohol that is considered safe?Is there any amount of alcohol that is considered safe? On today’s episode we will tackle this big question as well as hear Dr. Bens own personal health story and experience, and how changing his diet (and alcohol consumption) allowed him to treat his health condition naturally with zero medication.
We review a handful of studies that show how excessive alcohol intake is linked to digestive system issues, along with negative impacts on the body’s key organs. Alcohol consumption has been known to cause brain issues such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimers, and dementia.
When one mentions sugar, you may instinctively think of foods such as chocolate or fruit. Few people think of alcohol as containing a lot of sugar, however, that’s a big component of the beverage. Food is not the only thing you should be buying organic; wine also contains pesticides (glyphosates) that you should be aware of when opening-up your next bottle of wine.
We discuss how alcohol cravings, along with other vices (chocolate, cigarettes, etc. can be reduced by focusing on getting your body healthy. Getting healthy consists of eating a balanced diet, reducing stress in your life, doing daily exercise, and adding quality supplements to your daily routine.

On today’s episode, we discuss the Monkeypox outbreak and the data on the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of the newly developed vaccine. On today’s episode, we discuss the Monkeypox outbreak and the data on the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of the newly developed vaccine. There have been no randomized trials or long- term studies conducted for the Monkeypox vaccine. Just how safe and effective is this vaccine? There are still a lot of unknowns on how to prevent and treat this virus.
However, we do know that Monkeypox is in the same family of Smallpox. Today we talk about some alternative more natural treatments you can consider to help protect yourself from the Monkeypox virus, based upon what has been successful for treating Smallpox.
Below are a few recommendations we dive into:
● Strong immune system: which can be achieved by eating a healthy diet along with high doses of Vitamin C & Vitamin D
● Nanoparticle Silver: which helps to degrade the lining of the virus cell therefore killing it (we also share our favorite Silver brand)
● Herbal treatments- used by native people over 170 years ago.
● Homeopathic remedies- used successfully for hundreds of years.
We do not know how serious this outbreak will be or whether the new vaccine is worth the risk involved, considering the shortcomings of the COVID-19 vaccines. Sometimes taking preventative action and trusting long established natural treatments is the way to go.

On today’s episode, we continue our conversation with the Cardio Miracle team and dive deeper into the value of nitric oxide for our cells. On today’s episode, we continue our conversation with the Cardio Miracle team and dive deeper into the value of nitric oxide for our cells. We explore the specific ingredients in the NO formula and why they are seeing such amazing results. We review the Frontiers Institute article on Cardio Miracle and discuss how this supplement plays a big role in both the prevention and regression of heart disease, as well as other benefits.
John Hewlett recalls back in 2007 when he first became introduced to this formula; it consisted of Nitric Oxide, Vitamin B12, and a handful of Antioxidants. Then, 7 years later in 2014 when he founded Cardio Miracle, his new formula consisted of 53 ingredients (including astragalus root, grape seed extract, beet root powder, just to name a few). We discuss how this new formula was able to extend the Nitric Oxide release in the body 24/7 instead of just a few hours for most NO products as the longer Nitric Oxide is expressed along the capillary/arterial wall, the less inflammation there is in the body and the better the artery repair process.
We also discuss how adding Cardio Miracle to your daily vitamin regimen could help you pare down your list of daily vitamins as it acts as a super multivitamin. Dr. Bens begins to draw a connection between Cardio Miracle and how just maybe there are other illnesses outside of heart disease that this supplement could help with.

On today’s episode, we talk with John Hewlett (founder of Cardio Miracle) and Stanford Graham, CEO of the company producing the supplement, Cardio Miracle. On today’s episode, we talk with John Hewlett (founder of Cardio Miracle) and Stanford Graham, CEO of the company producing the supplement, Cardio Miracle. John Hewlett shares his own story and the heart issues he experienced 17 years ago along with the complications he faced from the surgery he had, and how that ultimately led him to begin looking into different, more effective, and less invasive cardiovascular surgery alternatives. During today’s interview, you will learn why you and your loved ones should add this supplement to your daily regime and how it can help you to avoid heart complications in the future.
Through his own health journey, Hewlett began researching and learning more about a 1998 Nobel Prize-winning Nitric Oxide formula and its powerful role in reversing cardiovascular issues. Hewlett was perplexed as to why more Cardiologists were not talking about this or promoting it. After giving up his successful financial career to become a full-time advocate of Nitric Oxide, Hewlett realized that there was even more that could be done to improve the awareness of this miracle cardiovascular solution. Hewlett set off on his own to not only spread the word of this alternative therapy to reduce your chances of heart complications but began working with a strong team of scientists, artificial intelligence experts, and doctors to tweak this original formula making it much more effective.

Natural science has proven what the FDA, the CDC, and every other national media expert have failed to understand is that COVID-19 has always been totally preventable.Natural science has proven what the FDA, the CDC, and every other national media expert have failed to understand is that COVID-19 has always been totally preventable. In an article published recently, a hospital in Ghana reported that all patients (4,000) and staff (89) avoided being infected with COVID-19 by using hydrogen peroxide up the nose and some down the throat every day. The treatment involved a 0.5% hydrogen peroxide nasal cavity rinse and a 1.0% hydrogen peroxide mouthwash that was gargled. Within days of the announcement that a new virus called COVID-19 was spreading (around March 2020) I began to recommend hydrogen peroxide for anyone who became seriously infected with this virus. I’m absolutely certain that many natural and functional medicine doctors were also recommending hydrogen peroxide for their patients.
There is a much easier treatment that I have also recommended to everyone I was able to reach by articles, podcasts, television, and emails blasts: colloidal silver. Yes, that’s right, at the end of each day where someone had contact with other people I recommended a few sprays of silver up the nose followed by deep breathing to ensure penetration into the sinuses. Then a few sprays down the throat, and as you may have guessed not one person using this approach became infected. There are hundreds of scientific studies validating the use of silver against viruses, and yet the FDA went after health practitioners with a vengeance if they even mentioned the word silver. During today's episode, we will discuss this study and much more on how scientists and doctors have successfully treated this virus.

Dr. Bens' doctor has been telling him to get a colonoscopy for 4 years now.Dr. Bens' doctor has been telling him to get a colonoscopy for 4 years now. But he has been reluctant to do that because of the risks.
Those risks include perforation, taking the gut out of balance from all the chemicals you have to put ingest to get cleaned out, and the risk of bacterial infection because a lot of people don't clean the equipment the way they should.
In this episode, we dive into those risks in detail and discuss the other tests available that you too can use as a substitute for colonoscopy.

The headline of a recent article read “We get a new liver every three years”. My immediate reaction was isn’t that great, I would love to have a new liver every three years. Then I paused and reflected on that thought. The headline of a recent article read “We get a new liver every three years”. My immediate reaction was isn’t that great, I would love to have a new liver every three years. Then I paused and reflected on that thought; how can that be possible with so many people getting liver cancer? I know the liver is the only organ that can replace a part of itself if it is damaged or even cut off. And, I know that almost all cells have a cell replacement program built into our cellular repair process. Then I remembered another study that exposed a flaw in this cellular replacement process.
Apparently, many patients are diagnosed with cancer of the liver but had no evidence of liver problems in the years prior to this diagnosis. How is this possible? It seems that the liver is indeed very resilient and has the ability to continue to function normally even though up to 70% of it may be diseased. That’s correct, the other 30% keeps performing all of the liver's 300-plus functions with no liver enzymes being released. Then all of a sudden liver enzymes show up. However, after liver enzymes are found some doctors have been known to do up to ten biopsies finding that nine of the samples are diseased. In other words, the diagnostic system is flawed and should be seriously reformed.
In today’s podcast, we will consider what tests might be better as well as what people can do to protect their liver from damage. We will discuss detoxification, foods, and some very strong nutraceuticals such as CoQ10 and vitamin E, which can ensure that the liver functions effectively for a long time.

Doctors are not practicing safe medicine out there, so how can you protect yourself?
Dr. Bens was working with a patient this past week who had arrhythmia, caused by the COVID-19 virus and then allegedly exacerbated by the COVID-19 vaccination. Her doctor put her on an arrhythmia medication—which she was on for two or three days. Unfortunately, it not only didn't help, it produced undesirable side effects.
So, she said: "That's not working for me!"
They put her on a second medication, and that one only lasted two or three hours before she confirmed it was not working either. Then, they put her on a third medication. Guess what? That one didn't work either! Her doctor said, "Well, now the only thing we have left is many, many x-rays... and surgery."
Doctors are not practicing safe medicine out there, so how can you protect yourself?
In today's episode, Dr. Bens welcomes Total Health Magazine researcher and editor John Barson. In their conversation, they provide some answers.

That's the concept behind this episode on psychiatric medicine, talk therapy, and mass shootings.
One theory behind the recent rise in mass shootings is depression medications like Prozac—but you will never see that in the popular media.
Today we dive into why talk therapy is bad, the problem with Ritalin, school lunch programs, and how better nutrition in our schools would stop mass shootings.

We don't think about muscles a whole lot. But, we should. We don't think about muscles a whole lot. The heart is the most important, but people don't think about the heart as an actual muscle!
Today's focus is on the role of muscles in our overall health.
Most muscular challenges are caused by fungi, parasites, and other viruses that act as the triggers of these diseases. It turns out there are hundreds of them.
This presents a challenging situation for doctors as well. There are too many factors to measure, and they may not get to the root of the problem.
We start this episode with a story about Dr. Bens' son contracting COVID-19 at the gym through his glutes. We then discuss Muscular Dystrophy, the link between the COVID-19 vaccine and Guillain-Barre syndrome, high-dose vitamin C, and the best diet to prevent inflammation.

Gut problems are so common these days. How can you relieve your symptoms?Gut problems are so common these days, with people complaining of gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance, bloating, cramping, and more.
With the way we are eating, our body is trying to digest chemicals and sugars—and it is not getting what it needs. But, enzymes are a simple fix!
Enzymes do a lot for our bodies and guts, including breaking down nutrients and delivering those nutrients to cells.
Today Dr. Bens and John discuss how to get those enzymes, the best supplements, autism, and tests you can undergo to find out more about your digestive system.

Cells are the building blocks of all living organs.Cells are the building blocks of all living organs.
Our cells take nutrients from the food we eat, and those nutrients are converted to a form of energy that performs specialized functions. Those specialized functions need specialized material to work with. You can't build a house without a hammer, nails, and some plywood.
We have to start thinking about our bodies in this way. These actions aren't visible to the human eye, but they are crucial for rejuvenating the human body and brain. If you're getting a solid eight hours of sleep, that's where all the work is really being done. This precious window works to repair all the damage we've done to our bodies throughout the day.
Listen as Dr. Bens and John discuss the levels of cellular deterioration, cellular repair, thoughts on stem cell regeneration, and so much more.

Climate change has huge impacts on health.Climate change has significant impacts on health. A recent headline that got Dr. Bens' attention really drives this point home: "This is Why We Will Be More Sick in the Future."
As the planet warms up and shifts occur, we will have to start becoming more aware of our personal environment. We always talk about taking control of your health, but people truly have to start thinking about the environment and its impact on physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Rising temperatures, flooding, infection, and crowded life in urban areas are just a few of the climate issues Dr. Bens and John discuss in this episode—as well as some ways to combat them to optimize health and wellness.

The rest of us in urban society would benefit from some tips and tricks to get the best, natural sleep of your life.
Think of your sleep as a pit stop for a race car. It's all hands on deck! Mechanics rush out and immediately take action to get the car back in tip-top shape. That's what's happening to your body when you sleep well.
Some simple things to try: exercising during the day, taking pro-resolving mediators, deep breathing, and cannabis.

Patients are not challenging their practitioners enough. We believe there are a number of questions you should ask in advance of deciding on a practitioner, instead of just relying on referrals or online ratings.
Today we're talking about the topics you should ask your doctor or specialist before entrusting your health to them.
Some of those questions include:
- What is breast cancer?
- How reliable is mammography?
- How do you factor nutrition into a care plan?

Instead, they found out because they had very serious problems that turned out to be cancer.
You can do the math: Only 26% of people are taking proactive or precautionary steps to prevent or keep track of their cancer risks. Why? Individuals are hesitant to find out their status and are more likely to wait until their symptoms deteriorate enough to cause major issues.
But, if you find cancer early through AI analyses, there's about a 95% chance you can prevent it.
Dr. Bens and John discuss breast cancer screenings and thermography, getting your vitamin D levels up, broccoli's superpowers, and overall ways to optimize your cancer prevention and recovery.

Every now and then you hear the story of a healthy, athletic person going on a job and dropping dead from a heart attack.
Every now and then you hear the story of a healthy, athletic person going on a job and dropping dead from a heart attack. Now how can that be possible?
It might sound strange, but exercise can kill you. When you exercise, your body needs more energy. And to make that energy, your body needs magnesium because magnesium is the mineral that transports glucose and oxygen into the mitochondria of your cell to make energy.
If you don't have enough magnesium, you can't take that energy-making combination of oxygen and glucose into the cell, into the mitochondria to be used. So that means that that glucose continues to circulate in your body causing damage to your arteries because that glucose is a toxin. And if it's not processed immediately as an energy tool, then you end up doing irreparable damage.
Dr. Bens & John look back at the stories they have heard over the years, why you need an instant pot, why athletes are getting COVID-19, and the best prevention methods and products to help you healthy enough to exercise in an optimal way.

Did you know that most humans have enough telomeres to last to 120 years old?! There are so many factors that we can modify if we catch them early enough and slow down the aging process.
Haven't heard of these tests? Well, don't have too much confidence in your current doctor, there's more they're not telling you. This is where doing your own research comes in.
Dr. Bens and John Barson cover these tests and more. And remind you to keep tabs on air pollution in your area, and water toxicity. In fact, if you're not careful, your inside air is worse than the outside air.

In fact, a lot of people aren't paying as much attention to their kidneys as they should be.
Did you know that just two or more sugary drinks a year can lead to serious kidney problems and kidney stones? In other words, two soft drinks are all it takes.
We need to take a little more responsibility for paying attention to our kidneys because they're extremely important, and this episode is going to cover how important they are and how to make them healthier.
We discuss kidney stones, drinking water, minerals and supplements to support kidney health, and harmful foods.

You've probably had an experience much like John's, where you head to the doctor with a complaint, he hands you a prescription, and when you pick it up at the pharmacy, along with the pills are pages and pages of warnings and side effects. Most of us probably just throw them out, but it's time to give those pamphlets a readthrough.
Once you block something with a prescription, then the body has to try to find a workaround. And then with the workaround, we end up getting a lot of side effects and things that really weren't intended for the body when it was first designed.
this episode touches on the problem with most prescription medications, what the media isn't telling you, misleading commercials, and if you choose to stay on your prescriptions, our hosts offer some supplements to take to balance out the effects of the pills.

Today we are focusing on spike proteins in the RNA vaccines. The government and many doctors don't seem to understand what's happening in our bodies and how the spike protein is causing havoc everywhere. The spike protein is turning out to be a toxin, that actually replicates on its own after it's in the body.
But that's one of the things we try to do on our program, is to try to get down to the root cause of things and try to give people a working explanation of what's happening.
In this episode, Dr. Bens and John Barson talk about the difficulties of being unvaccinated in our current world, the standards for who is administering vaccines, and what happens if spike proteins get into your bloodstream.

It seems women are a bit more interested in learning about their health earlier than men. And men not only have no idea but don't really want to try to change their lifestyles. But why is it so hard to change ANYONE's health habits?
Well, between Dr. Bens and John Barson, there is a ton of experience in this episode about people resisting the knowledge that could help to save their lives. They talk about why they distrust mainstream media, the COVID-19 vaccine, government protocols, and how it all boils down to money.

Well, it's all about shortening the length of your telomeres. And how many foods are shortening our lifespan without us even knowing?
Turns out, most people will not change their eating habits until they become seriously ill. Studies have consistently proven that about 90% of people do not eat a healthy diet; chronic illness has increased 700% in the past 60 years, and life expectancy has actually declined in the current generation and will continue to decline in future generations.
Stories of long-lived grandparents with poor eating habits are actually rare and not supported by scientific evidence. This display of American individuality and arrogance is
harmful and will be one of the things that finally helps to bankrupt this country.

Genes play an important role in how long we live, but nutritional scientists feel there are other factors that are even more important, and about 80% of them are within our control. Nutrition is the most important factor along with a few other important health considerations.
A brilliant nutritional scientist, Bruce Ames, has shown that nutrients we consume are utilized on a priority basis with reproduction and germ treatment first and second priorities, and chronic disease and longevity last. This is why we are facing a significant health crisis in this country.
The National Cancer Institute studied over 16,000 people aged 2 to 80 and could not find one person with a truly healthy diet. In fact, most were deficient in 11 out of 14 nutritional categories. And over 70% of adults have one or more chronic illnesses and this is up from 10% about 60 years ago. This is why healthcare costs are going through the roof in the United States.

Self-care is a journey that many of us will be on our entire lives.
Self-care is a journey that many of us will be on our entire lives. Dr. Bens says self-care can probably be best described as common-sense health care whereby people take more responsibility for their health with an emphasis on prevention.
Unfortunately, too many people pay very little attention to prevention, and they wait until a health problem of some kind occurs. This results in medical response and treatment of some kind by our conventional health care system. Besides being very expensive, this treatment-based health approach represents the number one threat to
the health of our country.
Self-care can be defined in many ways, and we should carefully consider its many variations be in order to optimize the opportunity for illness prevention and cost
savings.
Today we'll discuss the different levels of self-care, figuring out what self-care means to you and your health, teaching Millenials, and changing the narrative around sick care and preventative care.

Most likely, you've experienced some kind of gut issue in your lifetime. But did you ever find out why? Most likely, you've experienced some kind of gut issue in your lifetime. But did you ever find out why?
There are many ways our guts can be eroded and altered through our lifestyle and dietary choices. Many respected health experts have proclaimed that most disease starts in the gut (intestines) because this is where nutrients are extracted from the food we eat. If we do not have the appropriate levels of good bacteria in our gut then food will not be broken down properly causing up to 50%, or more, of the nutrients to be lost.
Aubrey takes the lead on this episode in how we can begin to heal our guts, how a healthy gut affects brainpower, the best foods for a happy belly, chewing your food properly, fermented food, and more.

Arthritis is inflammation of the joints and it occurs in over 50% of people over the age of 50. A small percentage of cases are due to genetics or injuries, but the vast majority of cases are caused by poor lifestyle decisions such as:
Excessive consumption of alcohol or sugar of any kind.
Excessive consumption of red meat, dairy products, and other “unhealthy” foods.
Being overweight, which puts pressure on the joints and causes fat cells to excrete inflammatory molecules.
Some plant foods such as tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, and peppers can also contribute.
Caffeine and tobacco also create acid in the body, which contributes to arthritis.
Most of the dietary factors contribute to excess acid in the body, which gradually eats away at the joints. When people stop eating these foods in favor of a more plant-based diet the pain and inflammation often stops in a matter of days. A good way to test for acid is to use pee strips in the morning before eating or drinking anything. A healthy urine pH level should be 7.0 – 7.4. A good blood test for inflammation is C-reactive protein.
Arthritis can also be treated with prescription medications or nutritional supplements. The most common drugs used are called NSAID’s, which suppress symptoms but do not resolve the underlying causes and actually cause an increase in the deterioration of the joints. There are several safer, more effective, and less expensive natural supplements proven in scientific studies.
Curcumin- derived from the spice turmeric, curcumin can reduce inflammation and actually repair damaged cartilage.
Glucosamine- This polysaccharide has been proven effective for joint pain and inflammation. It is sometimes combined with chondroitin and MSM to assist in the repair of damaged joints.
Hyaluronic acid- This polysaccharide helps to rebuild the synovial fluid in the joint for lubrication of the bones.
SAMe- S-Adenosyl methionine is helpful in the methylation or breakdown of many other nutrients that improve the repair of damaged tissue and joints. It has also been studied for its beneficial reduction of depression and other brain related illnesses.
Fish oil- This omega 3 supplement is a strong anti-inflammatory and also improves the ability of cells to absorb nutrients and eliminate waste.
Boswellia and ginger- These herbs have both been proven to reduce inflammation and pain caused by arthritis.

For years we have used the phrase “the power of positive thinking’ without knowing very much about how or where this power actually came from. For years we have used the phrase “the power of positive thinking’ without knowing very much about how or where this power actually came from. In fact, for hundreds of years, the brain was thought to be totally separate from the rest of the body having been declared so by the French philosopher Rene Descartes and the British scientist Sir Isaac Newton.
These were Western perceptions, which ran very counter to thinking in India and China where the mind and body were thought to very closely related to each other. Influenced by Western thinkers we got stuck with the separation view and our medical community was unconvinced of any connection until the 1970s. This change in thinking began when scientists like Candace Pert conducted research on the structure and function of cells that started to show a connection between the mind and the body
We have known that disease can be caused by toxins, genes, stress, lack of exercise, and poor nutrition, but we now must add the mind as a powerful determining factor. In fact, the mind may be the conductor of this orchestra helping the body to heal itself by creating and activating all of the right chemicals, as well as the on and off switches, after all of the other elements are in place.
Detoxify, manage stress, exercise, eat healthy and let positive thinking take it from there. You can find Aubrey on her website, LinkedIn, or Instagram

And yet, if you ask them what they are doing to avoid this dreaded illness a vast majority will give another one-word answer, nothing. That is both shocking and surprising because there is actually quite a lot a person can do to prevent Alzheimer’s Disease.
A prevention program is needed because current treatment is inadequate. Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death in the US, with 5 million cases now which could increase to 16 million by 2050.
In today's program, we dive into all of the vitamins, minerals, and lifestyle changes that will help you keep your memory functioning well into your later years.

And, because enzymes are primarily found in raw fruits and vegetables, most people are not getting enough of them. Some of the key biochemical processes where enzymes are needed are energy production, oxygen absorption, healing wounds, and dissolving blood clots.
One of the most important roles of enzymes is in the digestion of foods, and as we age, we make less and less of these digestive enzymes. It’s all part of the aging and dying process, but you can slow this process down by eating more raw fruits and vegetables, as well as taking digestive enzymes in supplement form. A deficiency of digestive enzymes, made mostly in the pancreas, leads to a deficiency of metabolic enzymes, which are the ones doing all the work in the aforementioned biochemical process.
Over 90% of the food Americans eat is processed. This destroys enzymes. Most of the food is then cooked, which destroys any remaining enzymes. This leads to digestive issues, such as constipation or diarrhea, which in turn leads to poor nutrient absorption and the production of toxins. Eventually, this leads to the development of chronic diseases, including heart disease and cancer.
Enzymes do not need to play such a negative role in our health. In fact, if we eat enough raw food, and take digestive enzymes in supplement form, some very good things can happen.

Our cells are programmed to die and be replaced on a regular basis. Soft cells, like skin, are replaced sooner than harder cells like bones. Sometimes this cell replacement process is disrupted and the replacement cell is not as good as it should be.
This replacement process can be disrupted in a few places in the cell development cycle, with some factors including lack of adequate enzymes, emotional stress, exposure to radiation & chemotherapy, and genetic pr-dispositions.
Most cells can be returned to normal healthy cells in the first three stages, but are less likely to return to a healthy state once they have become mutated or diseased.
Chronic disease and cancer- Most chronic illness develops this way, and cancer is just one of the more serious responses. However, there are science-based strategies for both preventing and reversing chronic diseases, including cancer.
Today we're talking all about anti-cancer strategies, including thermography to find cells that are heating up (a sign of cancer), eating a plant-based diet, testing vitamin d & galectin 3 levels, reducing stress, supplements, and much, much more.

There have been over 34,000 scientific studies on the benefits of vitamin d3 over the past 15 years. This vitamin regulates over 2000 of our genes and at least 50% of the adult population is deficient in this key nutrient, as are 70% of children between the ages of 6 and 11, although it should be remembered that deficiency levels represent the minimum levels required to maintain good health, they are not optimal levels needed to prevent many chronic diseases.
What is the appropriate level of vitamin d3? Some scientists suggest blood levels of 50-70ng/ml, while others recommend 50-90ng/ml are needed for the prevention of some chronic diseases such as cancer. It is very difficult to achieve this level with just diet and sunshine. A person would need to eat a nearly perfect diet and have sufficient sun exposure between 10 am and 3 pm in order to achieve these optimum levels.
Most recent developments in the world of vitamin d show its effectiveness in the fight against Covid 19!
In this episode, we hear about the many benefits of vitamin d, sunshine, different kinds of vitamin d, and ways to incorporate more of this wonder supplement into our lives!

She could not have been more wrong and this actually points out a serious flaw in the education most doctors receive.
Common toxins are fluoride, chlorine, mercury, smoking, saturated fats, alcohol and more!
These toxic substances including some foods we eat accumulate in our bodies due to our body's inability to process them or remove them in a way that avoids many diseases. How can any doctor deny this? Some of these toxins are actually administered by doctors in the form of mammograms, X-rays, CT scans, and vaccines. That is the reason why more people are opting to visit a holistic doctor or one who practices Functional Medicine because they understand the dangers of these toxins.
Also, these doctors who have advanced education and training have tests out that can detect these toxins when there are only small amounts in our bodies and then use scientifically proven detoxification programs to remove them before they can do any harm. In many cases, these tests can find cells challenged by these toxins 5 to 10 years before conventional tests can find anything, which allows the doctor to use natural treatments instead of some of the harmful treatments used by conventional medicine.

Persistently high blood pressure can lead to kidney disease, dementia, heart disease, stroke, arterial disease, and vision problems. Conventional medicine uses medications for high blood pressure such as Diuretics, Beta Blockers, ACE Inhibitors, Calcium Channel Blockers, or Aldosterone Blockers.
These medications are often effective. But can also cause many side effects such as heart muscle dysfunction, asthma, low heart rate, irregular heartbeat, dry mouth, kidney dysfunction, swelling of ankles, and rapid heartbeat. These negative side effects can often be avoided by following a more natural approach based on excellent scientific evidence.

Popular weight loss programs seem to be lacking two very important things; actual scientific evidence and documented long-term results for all participants.Popular weight loss programs seem to be lacking two very important things; actual scientific evidence and documented long-term results for all participants. Independent analysis has revealed that only 3% of people who try these programs keep lost weight off and there can be serious long-term health risks.
This modern diet isn't how we were designed to eat, and over the past million or so years and going back - a hunter-gatherer diet is the only way to safely lose weight, keep it off and prevent the many diseases that have been created by the current western diet.
Eat only whole foods such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, seeds, fish, and skinless poultry.
In this episode, Dr. Bens and Aubrey discuss why these programs fail, food addiction, how mindfulness could help, and managing gut health.

Diabetes is a terrible chronic disease with many debilitating health consequences including heart disease, blindness, amputation, cancer, and much more.
What makes this such a compelling topic is that a vast majority of Type 2 diabetes is preventable and reversible. In fact, some cases have been reversed in as little as three days with some basic lifestyle changes. So why has diabetes reached epidemic proportions if it is so easy to prevent or even reverse? The answer is that it is not that easy for most people due to some very important factors.
Dr. Bens & Aubrey dive into 7 steps to preventing and reversing Type 2 diabetes in this latest episode: what you should & shouldn't be eating, the supplements you may need, exercising and its impact on insulin receptors, and much much more.
