Grow and Glow with me as I explore topics on love, sex, finances, family, femininity-masculinity, goals, growing pains, self care, mental health, accountability, friendships and everything in between.
Why can’t we just bloom where we are planted or better yet go where we are watered! Oh I wish it were that easy to navigate the nuances of life. More often than not we’re a victim of circumstance and sometimes of lack within self… let’s navigate the reality of life in blunt honesty. Is it really that easy to do better… or better yet to find better? It is not everyday that we have the privilege to do either… what do we do then ?
In this episode I’m dissecting imposter syndrome- what it is & what it isn’t too! As we get to understand this syndrome together I will also be sharing my 3 step formula which I believe helps combat this state of being. Tune in and enjoy! The agenda is to eventually get to a place where we constantly operate at our highest form of self and live within the vision we have for our lives!

Everytime I am reminded that I’m going on 30 soon I panic- cause listen how am I counted amongst the grownups🥴I barely know what I’m doing. Let’s talk about it- adulting is exhausting! You invest in your education only to be paid less than your rent- that time some people also have black tax. You have good intentions only to be hurt in these streets and wait a minute...medical aid, life insurance and the works- faints*. We’re supposed to have it all figured out but is it safe to say I’m not the only one still figuring it out? In this episode I’m real about life and of course close up with a positive affirming energy because after everything is said and done- we’ve got this!
It is sad just how much of an affliction comparison has become. Today I’m going to focus on it from a different angle. Mostly comparison is referred to as the affliction that comes from being saddened by what others have that you do not. Yet rarely do we realize the endless days we waste whilst copying other people’s ways of doing life- be it business wise, religion or even in love. We sometimes believe that if we do it in the way that those we look up to did, we will be guaranteed to succeed. Then we encounter great defeats when even the formulas of our mentors and those we admire fail to work for us. We forget that each person has their own path- there is no formula to life. You must find your own way and may even have to constantly revisit your vision board because as humans we plan but life also happens along the way.
Tune in and listen to my interview on Capitalk Fm Channel 100.4 Zimbabwean radio -hosted by Ntandoyenkosi Khumalo! Amazing experience.
This is an introduction episode into a new Series! Let’s talk relationships- and everything about them ups and downs of it all. Today outside of opening up about my own abandonment issues...I’m talking in depth about a certain type of situationship that reflects abandonment issues, Daddy issues (or mommy 🤷🏾♀️)- trauma bonds, wound mates and soul mates. Listen it’s deeper than it seems but there’s no situation that can’t be handled - or left😂.
This is a new mini-series! Let’s talk about the growing pains we experience as we maneuver our early 20’s into mid to late 20’s. This adulting stuff doesn’t come with a memo you know! I’m joined by Shimonè who was my best friend since I was 18. We’ve been through a lot together and today we scrape the surface of our friendship roots. We open up about how a friendship can make or break you, we loved each other so much and yet we suffocated each other so much. We were each other’s anchor, comfortable with taking turns to drown so one of us can come up for air. Friendships can make or break you. Today we open up about the reality of it all, and how having individual identities is key when building a bond. Friendship breakups can hurt more than relationship breakups sometimes, we broke up and didn’t talk for 2 years. Only to find our way back to each other, more mature , healed and accountable and now we look back and laugh, realizing how life has brought us into a complete circle. So we have decided to share these lessons with you in this new mini- series. Two women of color sharing their life experiences together- in different parts of the world. We hope you appreciate and respect our vulnerability and honesty as much as we appreciate you listening to us❣️.
Being single definitely has its pros and cons. Dating in the 21st century is like participating in the Olympics with no prior training lol. When you’re single you have time to discover yourself but no one addresses the cons like those sudden waves of loneliness and longing. It’s even getting more difficult to be happily single and still be searching at the same time- it’s becoming a pick a side reality. So let’s get into it. We all have standards and I’ve come to understand that the consequence of having standards is being okay with waiting. But have you ever asked yourself: How do we approach sex when we’re single? Are you your type’s type? Would you choose you? Do you know who you are? If not then how do you expect to know what you need ? Have you ever taken time out to address your inner self and heal ? Partly Being single is not just waiting for the right one it is also taking time to become the right one but there is so much more to life than just searching.
Today I’m joined by two lovely guests Vin and Kamila (IG: @vin_milton and @kama_k.k ) We’re talking about monetizing your passion, having big dreams, daring to want more in life and everything that comes with it! Our 2 guests are young entrepreneurs who are steadily growing into everything they have ever dreamed they’d become and more! Oh and they are a couple- how beautiful is that!? We’re addressing issues like motivation vs discipline, support systems, comparison and staying aligned and focused. This is the perfect episode for anyone who is chasing their dreams, discovering their passion or needing a little nudge of encouragement!
Let’s unpack and address sexual shame. It is rooted in so many things, sometimes it’s our families or guardians that passed it onto us, sometimes it’s from being bullied or body shamed, or being made to feel inadequate by a sexual partner- other times it comes from us not having sexual confidence or feeling ashamed of our past decisions or lack of adequate sexual knowledge. So how do we address it? I break it down a procedure of finding the root cause-sitting with it and dealing with it... then finding partners that feel safe, learning our own bodies and how to communicate with ourselves first and with our sexual partners. Lastly I address how to let pleasure in- to live. You must allow yourself to be happy to laugh, love, breathe and just BE. To welcome sexual pleasure and confidence in your life you must first welcome the possibility of better and brighter days and open yourself up to everything that life and our bodies have to offer. Tune in! Let’s chat.
In the previous episode I spoke about how your potential can be recognized and still be taken for granted! In this episode I’ll be addressing how to safeguard your potential so that no one takes you for granted - not even Yourself! Every single space in which you place yourself in be it a friendship- relationship or work, whatever it may be: it MUST add value to your being. So let’s talk about how we can master the art of walking in our worth and knowing when something is not worth our time.
Just because you are valuable and worthy it does not mean that you’ll always be treated accordingly. It is vital for us to be weary of the relationships, situations and spaces that we place ourselves in. If you’re not careful you’ll enter a situation whole and be discarded and left feeling empty, worthless and and broken. It’s important to constantly work on yourself and to remain intentional in how you share yourself with others so that you don’t always end up being collateral damage.
Today I’m addressing femininity. Not the materialistic one that talks about buying certain things or dressing a certain way. I’m talking about embracing the ultimate feminine energy that brings healing, release, peace and abundance. Welcoming pleasure in every shape and form into your life with open arms. Switching from identifying as a strong person to realizing that strength is not an identity but a personality trait so you don’t have to identify as one thing. You can be strong, sensual, divine ...everything and more!
Let’s address the issue that is becoming increasingly problematic, which is friendship dynamics. What makes a friendship unhealthy and in what ways do we contribute to the cycles we sometimes get stuck in
In life we often step into situations that make us question wether we’re too much or we’re not enough. If you don’t honestly answer these questions you run the risk of living in a victim mentality. So in this episode I address Healthy ways in which we can address these questions in a way that helps us grow and know what is for us and what is not for us.
It’s ridiculous how we ask for the mountains in our way to be removed when we’re the ones who are constantly placing them there. Perfomative Faith is not the same as Active Faith.
It seems that people feel it is okay to denounce other people’s relevance when they mess up. My question is according to whose narrative are we operating when we decide to nullify other people’s relevance? We forget so quickly how it won’t be long before we also make a mistake- denying others room for correction is just denying the same for yourself.

Let’s talk about how sometimes the love we’re raised on contributes to how we maneuver in the world. And how sometimes we may stand in the way of our own happiness just because we are living in survival mode.
It’s saddening that the average young adult finds information about sex from pornography or trial and error. When in reality we should be creating gentle and safe spaces that discuss this topic in depth. So let’s actually talk about it!
