Today I’m speaking with Havening Practitioner Elle Louise McBride and she’s going to help us understand exactly what is happening in our brains when we replay traumatic events in our mind and how we can unbind from their power.

Meet Elle Louise McBride, a force to be reckoned with in the world of NeuroSelf Care. With a holistic approach that blends various modalities, Elle empowers women and young adults to live their best lives and reach their full potential.

When I see people with big communities begin to talk about the challenges that conception can carry, I feel a kinship. When Lisa began speaking about her fertility challenges, approximately 8 years in, I knew immediately I wanted to speak to her.

Not for any other reason than that, I had to know how someone navigates what she has, runs a company, maintains relationships and seems to be relatively well.

Having navigated my own experiences with conception and through supporting thousands through the podcast and hundreds through my coaching, I have a pretty fair idea of what it feels like to go through IVF and infertility at it’s worst.

In our conversation today Lisa shares that sparkly spirit that we all know and see through her social channels, but she also allows us to see the rawness of what she has navigated. From the lowest moments, big financial choices, pregnancy loss and everything in between.

Somehow she manages to share the realities of HER story, while also bring lightness, hope and an unwavering resilience that I know we can all learn from.

Lisa launched The Messenger Group in 2001, which has custom published more than 400 books for companies and individuals and now releases 40 – 60 products per year globally. Lisa has authored and co-authored more than 36 books and become an authority in the start-up scene.

Her passion is to challenge individuals and corporations to change the way they think, take them out of their comfort zone and prove that there is more than one way to do anything. She encourages entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and innovation and lives life to the absolute max. With fans including Sir Richard Branson, New York Times Best-selling author Bradley Trevor Grieve, and a social media following of well over 800,000 across the Collective Hub platforms, Lisa’s vision is to build a community of likeminded people who want to challenge the status quo and change the world.

I absolutely loved this conversation and I truly cannot wait to hear how Lisa’s story, helps support you in yours.

I know you’re going to love this one.

If you’ve ever felt completely overwhelmed by the world of astrology, you’re not alone.

In this episode I bring it back to basics with my incredibly knowledgeable and very cool friend Kristy Gray.

Kristy is an Astrologer and Life Strategist from the Gold Coast. Her career started in Learning and Development in the beauty industry, working for the likes of Clinique and global beauty giant Sephora. A passion for developing people and brands blossomed into a 10-year career, but Kristy was perpetually curious about astrology - she was ‘that girl’ in the office who was always asking everyone for their star signs.

In 2018, she found herself sitting in front of an award- winning Astrologer who became her mentor, and instantly fell in love with the stars and how they can help you understand more about yourself to make conscious decisions. Five years on, Kristy has become one of Australia’s leading Astrologers. Through her signature formula, Astrostrategy®, Kristy combines mystical insights with practical tools to dismantle the uncertainty that’s been holding you back. When she’s not stargazing, you’ll find her at the beach, fantasy novel and green juice in hand.

In this episode Kristy walks us through the foundation of our own charts when it comes to living full expressed and aligned as individuals. With her empowering approach Kristy shows us how to navigate the world of astrology with our internal filter switched on.

We explore …

  • Sun, moon and ascendent and how understanding them will give us an even deeper insight into who we are and what to celebrate within ourselves
  • A brief look at the planets and houses
  • Whether you have a daytime or nighttime chart and how that can inform the best way that you operate in the world (this is super easy to grasp!)
  • Your North and South Nodes and how to use these to help you live more aligned and fulfilled

Plus so much more!

At the top of the conversation Kristy guides us to pull up our own natal charts, follow the link below to do that for free, and if possible have on hand while you’re listening.

This week I’ve invited Jacq and Britt of Day One Fertility onto the podcast to help us unpack pre-conception health - with some added info on pregnancy and postpartum too.

With 5 children and 20+ years experience in the health industry between them, Jacq and Brit know a thing or two about nutrition, optimising fertility and parenting! But when they first started out, they too felt the overwhelm and lack of credible resources to truly feel empowered by nutrition for fertility. They value evidence based nutrition, and have combined the science with their practical experience as mothers to deliver you a series of in depth courses in nutrition for fertility at Day One.

My intention in bringing the ladies onto the show was to help simplify nutrition, which I find can be overly complex when you’re trying to get pregnant.

In this episode we cover…

  • What research tells us about how we can improve our chances of conception
  • Why we need to start planning for conception at least 6 months prior (and so do our partners)
  • The 7 things you can implement today to improve your fertility by almost 70%
  • Conception supplementation, what’s actually needed
  • Why our diets are lacking now more than ever, and it’s not just about bad food choices
  • MTHFR and folic acid
  • Simplified nutrition for pre-conception and most supportive food lifestyle for fertility (backed by research)
  • The different calorie requirements for each trimester including postpartum
  • Delicious food ideas to support you to make eating for conception simple

I know that this is going to be a well loved episode for its information and clarity, as well as the easy to implement tools.

Once you finish listening don’t forget to take a moment to leave a five star review on your favorite platform. I deeply appreciate you closing the energetic cycle of giving and gratitude.

As mentioned on the episode you can find the Clean 15 here, and it looks like you will have to subscribe to download the dirty dozen

Alex first dropped into my orbit about 12 months ago when I worked with her in a one off session, as her coach, during her second pregnancy. Naturally I followed her journey through pregnancy and into motherhood with baby number two, and so beautifully we have landed side by side in the same coaching program with my beloved coach Ellie Swift.

I’ve wanted to have Alex on the show for months now but saw the space to honour her energy and that I knew she would have so much to share on this side of birth number two. And of course, what divine timing.

Alex is a sensual wealth coach who guides women to connect to their sensuality and unlock limitless exponentiality. Originally from Chicago and an entrepreneur at heart, she left her 'on-paper perfect' corporate fashion merchandising career and moved to Australia in 2018.

Fast forward to 2022 – together with her husband & their two daughters on her hip – Alex has built a million dollar soulful product business in under 3 years. Alex has also coached hundreds of entrepreneurs across the globe to build ecommerce businesses, which led her to explore how the mind, body & spirit interact in business and the creation of wealth.

Unraveling the connection between her sensuality, motherhood, and wealth has by far been the biggest needle mover in her own business and most importantly, in the lives of her clients. Her mission is to guide women and mothers everywhere to tap into their sensuality & alchemise the abundant lives of their dreams.

In today’s episode we cover…
+ What each of Alex’s first trimester experiences were like, and how she prepared the second time around. Including how she lent fully into being held and supported as priority.+ What each of Alex’s birth experiences looked like, and why she chose a new care provider at 40 weeks pregnant.
+ How she is feeling as she comes out of the fourth trimester, and where her focus and intention is and how this clarity is serving her to feel embodied at this time
+ What Alex learned about herself through the sacred container of birth and how that has more deeply informed her work in the world and her commitment to helping women remember their power
+ Why Alex believes we can have it all and how understanding our sacral chakra energy underpins our ability to do this
+ Why separating the ‘having’ from the ‘doing’ is essential for living an embodied and abundant life
Plus LOADS more.

This conversation was such a joy to experience, and I know that you will feel that through every moment.

In this week's episode I speak with Dani of @mydarlinghart. Dani is the kind of human that I watch in awe, knowing that what she has navigated must have broken her in ways most of us will never understand and yet, she manages to shine in the reality of her life and all that she has been through.

Dani is a 34-year-old wife and mama, who resides in Newcastle NSW. She has two beautiful daughters; Bonnie Hart in the stars and Inka James, who was born earthside this past Valentine’s Day.

Dani has poured her heart into a social media space, where she vulnerably shares her journey navigating infertility, baby loss, grief, and motherhood. She has recently found purpose in her pain, starting a volunteer role in Red Nose Australia’s new Footprints program.

She is passionate about sharing awareness and information (on safer pregnancy programs, safe sleep and bereavement care) and hopes that in the future, no parent will ever have to suffer the heartache of pregnancy or infant loss.

In this episode we talk about …

  • Dani's story of conception and pregnancy with each of her girls
  • Placental abruption and how that lead to the loss of her first daughter Bonnie Hart
  • How she navigated that time and when she knew she was ready to begin IVF again
  • What pregnancy after loss was like and how Dani was able to move into this next pregnancy at all
  • How history repeated itself in the way of another placental abruption, and how she feared the worst
  • What her birth was like with Inka James
  • How motherhood has been since welcoming her beautiful Inka James into her arms
  • What she is focusing on now and how we can support other parents navigating the unfathomable loss of an infant

Dani mentions her work with Red Nose Australia’s new Footprints Program and as mentioned on the episode, I want to make mention to this in case you are called to offer support in Bonnie’s honour.

Finally, you can make a difference and help fund world-leading research and support families impacted by death of a baby or child by making a donation to Red Nose. You can read more about Dani’s work with Red Nose in the Shownotes for this episode.

It’s been the longest time since I’ve recorded a solo episode, and it’s so fun to be back here sharing with you in this way.

When it comes to conceiving, many of my clients are focused on what they need to add to their lives to get the result they most desire. Supplements, self care practices etc, but often the key is in letting go.

What is it that you most need to let go of in order to move closer to what you desire?

In this episode I’m sharing the 5 things I regularly support my conception clients to stop doing, so that you can start to make a shift today.

The key to moving through all of these is through self care practices. A ritual, a practice of devotion to keep you plugged into your inner wisdom and inner guidance.

It's been a big few years, and now more than ever I am seeing fried nervous systems that have been running on auto pilot since 2020.

This is your invitation to join me next week across 3 days (21st ,22nd ,23rd June), as I teach you how to regulate your nervous system and create inward connection, all in micro-pockets of time.

Stress free conception, pregnancy and motherhood are absolutely in reach.

I'll walk you through one micro-lesson each day to help you create an internal shift in just 10 short minutes. But the true gift here is that the tools and information I share will support you through conception, birth and beyond.

Live and free, this mini series of lessons will help you make big shifts, in pockets of time!

I have loved and followed the journey of YCL for years now, but only recently discovered the founder and creative director, Fabienne, on social media. I quickly learned she is a fellow Taurus, I can just pick them! But I also learned that Fabienne’s journey to motherhood was a complicated one.

I got in touch right away, and I couldn’t be happier to be sharing her story with you today.

From not wanting to be a mother, to discovering her nurturing side and knowing motherhood would be part of her path, then discovering that conception would be a little different for her and her partner. Fabienne shares with openness and vulnerability, and I know that her story will bring validation to those on their conception path.

Fabienne is the creative director and founder of YCL Jewels. She began working in aged care as a nurse when she was 15 and went on to study a Bachelor of Nursing at ACU in Brisbane after Highschool. In 2013 she left her stable career & university degree (just two subjects short of graduating) to pursue her love for jewellery making full time. Fabienne is entirely self-taught in jewellery design and has no formal training in jewellery making or business.

Fabienne has dedicated herself to building a beautiful and intentional brand with YCL now exporting to over 100 countries globally, with main international export countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, & Germany.

At the time of recording, Fab is 36 weeks pregnant.

In this episode we talk about…

  • How Fab didn’t want to be a mother, and what changed that
  • How her pregnancy has been, and why the night be we recorded she was thrown off
  • How Fab’s plans for birth have changed at this point, and how she is working through that
  • Her journey with IVF, including egg collection, hormones, embryo’s, failed transfers and eventually pregnancy - and everything in between
  • How she plans to spend her postpartum period

And so much more.

Back in episode 48 I spoke with Braydan when she shared her heartbreaking story of loss at 11 weeks pregnant while on holiday with her family.

In this episode we fill in the gaps in the story, and Braydan shares that at the time of recording she is 30 weeks pregnant with their little miracle babe.

Pregnancy after loss is like nothing else, it’s such a mish-mash of emotions, and truly requires a day by day approach, which Braydan echo’s so beautifully throughout this episode.

If you are looking for a story of hope and commitment, and a light at the end of the conception tunnel, this episode will be it.

Braydan is self aware, raw, generous in what she shares and a vision for those of us who are still on this journey.

In this episode we spoke about…

  • Preparing to try and conceive again after loss
  • Braydan and Ryan’s conception journey after loss back in 2019
  • How Expand Align Conceive supported her to navigate conception again
  • Testing and the decision to explore fertility treatment
  • Lockdown and the impact on trying to conceive
  • Support, and unsupportive comments
  • How the news of conception surprised them after two years since their loss
  • Navigating the first trimester after loss
  • How she has supported herself throughout pregnancy
  • Braydan’s plans for birth and postpartum

And so much more.

Connie Chapman is a Life Coach, Writer, Podcast Host and Speaker, helping big-hearted women discover a new way of living; one that is guided by their hearts, fuelled by their intuition, and filled with love.

She is here to guide you on the journey of turning inwards; of coming back into connection with yourself and discovering the power, wholeness and love that exists within you.

As you peel back all of the old layers of fear, limitation, lack and struggle, Connie believes you will be able to step fully into your authentic self and start creating a life that you love.

Connie played a pivotal role in my healing before Flynn was conceived, and I’m incredibly happy to have her here on the show today sharing a topic that she is so experienced on, manifestation. What I love about Connie's approach is how anchored it is in our feminine essence, how calm my nervous system feels, and the gentleness in moving through all of the ups and downs of the process.
In this episode we cover…

  • What the gorgeous Taurus energy is calling her to right now, and how she’s anchoring into self care
  • A high level look at Connie’s approach to manifestation and how it differs from what we have been taught, and how many of us approach the practice
  • What happens when fear gets a hold of our manifestation practice and how to come back to alignment
  • The role of self kindness and self care in manifestation
  • How our fears can bring us closer to our manifestation
  • What to do when the manifestation is taking longer to appear than we would like ie Extended conception
  • The energetic difference in calling in a baby, vs other manifestations, and the mindset shifts that may support you with that
  • Where to start with this practice, or how to change course now

Plus so much more.

There is so much gold to be taken from this episode, I recommend listening with a pen and paper to take notes!

Natalie Rolland is a mother and wife based on the Gold Coast, and owner of Altered Sense.

I discovered Nat online when she was about halfway through her pregnancy, and quickly learned that she had a challenging experience to get to that point. I always find it so refreshing when I see women share their truth with such kindness, vulnerability and strength.

In this episode Nat and I discuss her experience of fairly straight forward conception x3, followed by three miscarriages, back to back. She talks about her mindset at that time, and how much she was pushing for answers when her Doctor wasn’t offering much.

Nat and her husband came back with a DQAlpha match, and with the help of Dr Kee Ong (the same Fertility Doctor that has been supporting us) she went onto an immune protocol, and into a medicated IUI cycle.

In this episode we talk about that experience, Nat’s less than favourable pregnancy symptoms, and how that affected her view of pregnancy, and her incredible birth story. Spoiler alert - her hubby didn’t make it!

Nat is open, strong and resilient, and I truly admire her ability to move through all that she has in such a short amount of time. She really is a special soul to carry such a lightness about her, after all that she has been through.

This episode is a must listen, I cannot wait to hear what you think!

I was recently speaking about my deepening understanding of the South and North Nodes in our personal astrology chart on Instagram, and it opened up an incredible conversation. These two parts of our chart have so much to reveal to us about our lessons and direction on earth. I have heard of them referred to as ‘our karma and our dharma’.

As I have been going deeper into my own North and South Nodes, and what I am learning about myself through them, I naturally wanted to speak with someone on the topic who has a deeper understanding of what they are here to teach us.

I knew Tiffany was the person to help us with this!

Tiffany Victoria is an Astrologer, Cosmic Channel & Conscious mother of 4. She specializes in Cosmic Timing, Vibrational Mastery and assisting with Soul Awakening, and in this week's episode we unpack parenting and life in this new earth. And you may remember her from Episode 70.

We covered a lot in this episode…

  • Our personal North and South Nodes, and what they are here to teach us
  • How we can see our nodes in our own chart
  • How our south node can lead us closer to our north node
  • Examples from my chart to help you understand what you could learn from yours
  • The energy of the collective, and what is happening right now that will be influencing how you are showing up for life
  • What this current eclipse season is here to teach/reveal to us, and how we can use that energy for our personal growth
  • The Taurus New Moon on 1st May and the Scorpio Full Moon on 16th May, and what you need to know!

Plus so much more.

This episode is timely and a must listen for anyone wanting to grow and expand in 2022 with intention, and the support of the stars!

**Today’s episode is something different to what we’ve had before. Our guest is a past client of mine whose story I am really excited to share with you.

Hayley Williamson is a photographer, and a single mother by choice to her beautiful daughter Neve who was born in august this year. Back in 2018 Hayley was diagnosed with estrogen dominance which led her down a path of balancing hormones and lifestyle. During those 12 months she had also spoken with a GP and gynecologist regarding her AMH levels and had started exploring the process of freezing her eggs.

Hayley hadn’t been in a serious relationship for 10 years and after mourning the realisation that she didn't have a partner or that ideal family that we’re ‘meant to have’ she made the decision to do it alone. She didn't want to wait any longer for the possibility of meeting the right person with the added pressure that she knew she wanted to have kids. So she made a plan, and when covid hit she had to re-evaluate what it is she wanted from her life and then made an appointment quite quickly to speak with her fatality specialist. After a lot of consideration and honoring what felt like the best situation for her body, Hayley chose to do an unmedicated IUI cycle with an anonymous sperm donor from the US.**

In this episode we talk about...

  • Hayleys experience of deciding to go down this path and what it looked like for her
  • What Hayley's conception experience was like
  • Hayley’s desire for motherhood and how that progressed over her adult years
  • Hayley’s journey into motherhood and the choice to use a donor
  • How Hayley supported herself after losses
  • Navigating postpartum as a solo mother

I loved this conversation, and the opportunity to share this beautiful story with you. I trust it will inspire you as it has me to sink deeper into what I truly desire in this life.

**Alex has worked in primary schools for the last 10 years as both a classroom teacher and Behaviour Advisory Teacher where she was trained in coaching both parents and teachers in behaviour management strategies. It was through this training, some extensive research and becoming a mum herself (Abel 3 yrs and Ari 9 months) that she decided to start offering Parenting Coaching to parents with children school age and younger. This age is the biggest leap in development and if we can help children with these behaviours before they start school, we can maximise their social emotional learning outcomes as well as academic outcomes.

I was so excited to have this conversation with Alex because I know how beautifully simple and supportive her approach is. While we don’t yet have another babe on the way, it’s something we hope for in the near future, and I learned a lot that I will be able to implement when the time comes.

Whether you are introducing a second, third or fourth child (and beyond) this is a must listen for parents wanting to emotionally support their older child/children with the change in family dynamic that begins in pregnancy.

Alex is educated and practical in her approach and she completely inspired me to observe Flynn’s behaviour in a new light.

In this episode we talk about …**

  • The biggest challenges families go through when they go from one to two children
  • What behavioural changes are normal in your older child/children when a baby is introduced and how to support your older child with them
  • What to look out for in pregnancy, and how you can prepare your older child for the babies arrival
  • Why your old child may act out when baby arrives
  • What to do if your older child hits or is rough with the baby
  • How role play can support your child and why you should support it
  • How to entertain the older child while you feed baby
  • Why creating a photo book can be incredibly helpful
  • How your older child's needs may vary when baby is introduced, depending on their age

This episode is so practical, and I know you’re going to walk away with so many tips to support your family with your exciting new addition!Find Alex On InstagramFind Alex OnlineAccess the show notes for this episodeBuy Me a Coffee in Gratitude

Kelle Howard is an interior designer, creative director, stylist, speaker and mentor that somehow still has time for daily meditation. She has consciously created a business and life she once dreamed of, including a six-figure interior design empire; a large and loyal social media following; Bajo el Sol, her globally recognised home; a series of brand partnerships and collaborations; a digital course, Behind The Brand; and a 12-week Soul-Led Mastermind. Just to name a few. Kelle is guided by intuition and feeling, infusing her relaxed personality and coastal, luxe style into each and every project. **I met Kelle for the first time in person a few years back in an airport and it truly seems like a lifetime ago. It’s incredible how quickly things can shift when we drop into alignment, which has absolutely been the case for both of us.

Over the past few years Kelle has returned to her Interior Design work after putting it on hold while she had babies, and if you follow her online you will know she has landed back in her zone with a bang!

In this episode we talk about…

  • How Kelle came to work as an interior designer
  • How her multi passionate soul is continuously offering her new ways of doing life, and how she embraces it
  • How Kelle nurtures herself amongst work and motherhood
  • What she has learned about herself over the past 9 years, and how that is reflected back to her through her work
  • Why she likes to involve her children in her business, and how she does this
  • Why Kelle doesn’t like to share much about her challenges publicly
  • Kelle’s thoughts on starting a business and following your passion after having children
  • What growth has looked like for Kelle, and her tips for staying in your own lane
  • How and why we need to make our home a sanctuary
  • How what you feel right now is influencing your future
    And so much more!

I loved this conversation, and the opportunity to go a little deeper into Kelle’s journey. Even though we have known each other for many years now, there is something special about truly taking the time to hear your friends' stories. What privilege to have her with us on the show.**

I don’t often share much about my life before coaching, not because I don't want to, but more because it has never felt overly relevant. But today felt like a great time to share with you what my transition into coaching looked like, and what was occurring for me at the same time.

It was a transformational experience, and a case of following my intuition and I have most certainly reaped the benefits of that.

This episode has been a long time coming, and I’m honestly a little nervous sharing it because it’s vulnerable. It’s never easy to share about our own personal struggles, but I know that I have such a beautiful community and that it will be landing with you with compassion.

I want to add a disclaimer here that whatever your challenges are, that if they are real to you, then that is enough. We don’t need to be validated in our struggle. Whether it's harder or easier than someone else's is irrelevant. What matters is how we feel, and how we’re moving through it.

In this episode I cover…

  • My story with intermittent fasting
  • Weight gain, mindset issues and changes to diet and how I’ve been healing that
  • What people said to me when I expressed my issues with my weight and energy
  • What we need to ask instead as a society
  • What I discovered after I had my hormones tested (it surprised me)
  • The protocol I’m on now and how it’s helping me heal
  • Other healing modalities that I’m using
  • What I’m focusing on for part two of 2021

And lots more

Matrescence is the term used to describe the transition that a woman goes through from the time she decides she wants to conceive and it continues through to motherhood. With an undefined beginning and end, and as a vastly different experience for all women, it can feel lonely, confusing and isolating to learn who we are on the other side of the birth of our child.

In this week's episode I speak with Chelsea Robinson. Chelsea is a motherhood therapist, a postpartum doula, a wife and a mother. Like so many other women called to work with women on their journey of motherhood, it wasn't until Chelsea experienced the profound change within herself as she transitioned from woman to mother. Spending several years digging more deeply into her own "becoming Mama", she came across the concept of "matrescence" which unlocked so many doors for her and greatly empowered her in her motherhood transition.

Throughout her work with women and mothers, she has continued to see a theme around how much influence society has on what women believe about themselves. She enjoys working with women + mamas to "de-socialize" themselves, taking what works for them while creating themselves as they grow to trust their own beautiful intuition. She now offers matrescence coaching, therapy to women anywhere along their journey of becoming "Mama", couple counseling to expecting/new parents, mama circles and blessings and a variety of other workshops throughout the year.

Chelsea believes that not only does it take a village to raise a child, but that it also takes a village to raise a Mama.

In this week's episode we cover…

  • What is matrescence

  • Where Chelsea's passion came from to nurture women through this time in their life

  • The rebirth of the women into motherhood

  • What does the matrescence experience look like and how can we care for ourselves when we are also learning to nurture our new little babies?

Today I am speaking with Jenna Agius. Jenna is a photographer and independent mother to her son Ollie. I wanted to bring Jenna onto the podcast because she is such a vibrant soul, and I know that anyone who is in her presence would agree with me.

Jenna has gone on to follow her creative passion after birthing her son, and is most certainly living her truth as a result.

I’ve been sharing more on social media into what my day to day life looks like, and I’ve really been enjoying it.

It’s been a natural progression for me as I’ve fallen back into alignment.

But I have been asked how I have the space for solo bike rides, beach meditations and all of the other self care, with a toddler and a business.

During 2020, this wasn’t the case.

I started the year in alignment, but when the world was turned upside down with the pandemic, I slipped into a reactive state.

Rather than creating the life I desired, I was completely reactive to what was happening around me.

I put my goals to the side, and made a couple of choices that snowballed.

12 months on and I was completely depleted and not all feeling like myself.

If this is you too, then this episode is for you!

One of the most common conversations that I have with my clients and women in my community is around their internal nasty voice, and what I’ve come to know is that we ALL have it in varying degrees. But it’s not so much the voice itself, but rather what we do with it, that matters.

Jolinda Johnson is a Wellness Mentor (M.S.Ed., CHHC) and Priestess who’s passionate about helping her clients break up with burnout and return to the wild: whole, healthy, and free.

As a result of working together, her clients begin living in harmony with their hormones and menstrual cycles, build trust in their bodies and their inner wisdom, and rebuild the spiritual connection they've been missing to surrender into what feels good (not just what makes sense). They then have the courage to move forward and experience vibrant health from a place of wholeness, worthiness, and wellness on their own terms.

She's originally from Detroit, Michigan but has lived in Barcelona, Spain for the last twelve years. Once upon a time she was married, but is now a single mom to a six-year-old son named Leonard (Lay-o-nard) who was sent to teach her how to live in the present and finally go with the flow.

In this episode we speak about burnout and how we can pick up on the early signs on our journey to and through motherhood.

Jolinda is wise, articulate and practiced in this work, and the way she shares brings a deep level of resonance that you I know you too will feel.

More specifically, in this episode talk about…

  • How to reprogram from stress
  • The mind and the body and how they rule
  • Why you need to check in with your body as your guide
  • How and why you need to body scan
  • How to truly tell if you’re currently under stress
  • Your markers for stress
  • Managing pregnancy in the workplace
  • Early signs that you’re headed for burnout
  • What it can mean if you’re craving sugar
  • Why you need to look at your relationship with rest and what it’s telling you
  • How to course correct if you see that you’re headed for burnout
  • The role that your hormones have in burnout
  • The role of exercise in stress management
  • Why you might need to move before you meditate
  • Sleep and why it is key
  • How to avoid burnout with a newborn
  • Ataptagens and postpartum

In this week's episode I speak with Reproductive Health Massage Therapist Kimberley Peters.

Kimberly has over 15 years experience in the health industry with a focused interest in Women's Health, fertility, reproductive and menstrual health imbalances.

She dives deep into her work with passion, sensitivity and empathy, walking with women on their fertility and reproductive health journeys.

She understands that to ready our bodies for healing, healthy cycles and hormones, conscious conception and pregnancy, we need to connect into our womb wisdom and nurture our heart to womb connection.

Kimberley's work centres around the guiding principle that in order for women to flourish with optimal fertility and menstrual harmony, Womb Medicine needs to play an integral role and is the missing link to the holistic framework of women’s health. Kimberley practices Reproductive Health Massage & Bodywork in Hampton, Melbourne and is completing her studies in Acupuncture and Herbal Chinese Medicine.

There was so much about this conversation that felt like a coming home for me, and I’m certain that as women, these messages have a deep resonance for us, essentially a soul remembering.

In this episode we cover…

  • The sacred space of the womb
  • What happens in a womb medicine session and how it can support conception
  • The cause of disease in the body
  • How your sacrum could be influencing your fertility
  • What a sensitive belly button might mean
  • The connection between the abdomen and femininity
  • Inner seasons
  • What your midline could be trying to tell you
  • The psoas muscle and what it could be storing
  • The maiden, mother and crone archetypes
  • Thresholds
  • Menopause
  • 7 year cycles
  • Why fertility challenges can be the perfect storm to disconnect from the body
  • The one thing to focus on if you are trying to conceive

I know you’re going to appreciate Kimberley's wisdom and passion, enjoy!

At Tiny Hearts, our mission is to bring education to all Australian parents that will transform their parenting experience, giving them the knowledge to move through pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood with confidence.

This conversation gave me a completely new perspective on how I can empower myself as a mother to a young child, and that it truly is my responsibility to seek out this support.

This episode is empowering, grounding and practical. I know you’re going to love it!

In this week's episode I speak with Tara Sea from the Name Nest.

The name nest is a collection of names unlike anywhere else, created with so much love and light by Tara Sea. Under the warmth of the sunshine in her little home studio on the Gold Coast, Australia, Tara Sea lives out her dream of being the artist she was born to be. She shares with you her love of names with her intuitive writings of the meanings, creating artworks and helps to inspire those who love to share her journey. Through her own awakening while on her motherhood journey, the name nest was born.

I loved opening up this conversation with Tara, it’s usually something that is saved to be spoken about between the parents of a child, not so much discussed in this way.

Her take on choosing names, and how she goes through that process truly inspired me.

When it comes to naming your child or future children, this is not an episode that you want to miss!

We talk about…

  • How the Name Nest came about
  • When children choose their own names
  • Name regret
  • How we chose Flynn’s name
  • Whether we need to consider trends when naming our children
  • Tara’s current favourite names
  • What she’s got in the works

In this episode we talk about the role of a doula and how that compares to other care providers, the rituals associated with placenta encapsulation and how we can adopt this ancient wisdom in modern times, why you might like to consider consuming your placenta and the benefits associated with it, how pre and post natal yoga can be deeply supportive to mama and so much more.

I also share about a incident that occurred 17 years ago that has had a lasting and long term impact on my health, and how I'm nurturing that through conception. As well as our more recent miscarriage, vitamin levels, my current health, the procedure I had last week and LOADS more.

In this episode we dive into Nat’s journey to the Vada and Vedic meditation and the impact it has had on her life, and that of her clients.

She advocates this practice, particularly for mothers, because of it’s simplicity and compounding impact on their life.

At the time of recording this episode, I was about to embark on Vedic Meditation training with Nat, make sure you check back in for episode 14 where I share my experience of the course and also with Vedic meditation.

What I love about Nat’s approach is she gives us permission to let go of the story that meditation needs to be one particular way in order to actually ‘count’. If you think you can’t meditate or that you’re terrible at it, this episode is a MUST listen.

If you've ever said to yourself 'oh I'd never do that!' Or 'that's definitely not for me', this episode will offer you some eye opening insight, as a reveal the list of choices I made as a mother that my pregnant self would have turned her nose up to.

In this episode I share my perspective of Flynn's birth, and why that's the only thing that matters, why we sleep trained twice, and then used the cry-it-out method (shock horror!!) As well as many more things that had the capacity to shake me off course in my first 12 months of motherhood, but didn't.

How did they not shake me, you might ask? I'll share that too!! This is the big takeaway of this episode, the key to being unshakable in your choices as a mama might actually be quite different to what you think.

Just a trigger warning also, in this episode I share my most challenging moments in birth and early motherhood, for some listeners this might be confronting. Make an intuitive choice on whether listening to this episode feels like it will spark growth within you, or whether it encourage you in the opposite direction. You know what's right for you mama.
