Our storyteller, Melinda, meets Ryan and from the start, strange things start to happen. An accommodating tree trunk transports them to the Dog Star, Sirius. Once there, they begin their journey to the Mine of the Mind (Ryan’s mind) where all the prickly fears of Ryan’s obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) will come to life.
En route to the Mine of the Mind, Mel and Ryan realize that they’re not alone. Two dwarf stars have hitched a ride on their backs—literally! Meantime, they discover that Elsewhere isn’t a place at all....
A painter’s subject comes to life...spooky?...a little. Peculiar?...definitely. Pentimento is a term used in art to describe when a painter changes his or her mind and paints over a part of their painting. The painter is said to have repented.
