Hello friends from Splinterlands, how are you? I hope so.

We are here together again for another awesome Splinterlands weekly challenge. I'm going to talk a little bit about the creature in the weekly challenge, the battle I used it in, and my overview of the game.

So here we go.

This week's theme is "DEEP LURKER".

The card chosen this week for splinterlands' weekly battle challenge was this amazing chaos legion water element common creature.

DeepLurker has 3 points of melee attack, 2 points of speed and a good 6 points of life, which makes it a medium resistance, all for the cost of 6 mana points, making it a cost effective card considering its status and its cost to enter battle.

After the release of Chaos Legion it has been very common to see the Deeplurker in many of the battles, having become, in my opinion, one of the most used cards of the water element.

It has, by default, the opportunity ability, through which DeepLurker is able to attack from any position in the team and will aim at the opponent's monster with the lowest life, a very powerful ability that makes all the difference.

At level 6 and above DeepLurker receives the skill poison, which gives him the chance to poison opposing creatures and cause damage every round with his attacks, and at level 10 he receives the skill demoralize, which reduces melee damage to all opposing creatures.

This week's battle had only 13 mana cap points, making it the second smallest possible to be played, so it would be a short battle and certainly with few cards.

Since DeepLurker is a water creature, my decision could not have been any other than to obviously choose a water summoner to build my team, which I did by choosing Kelya Frendul, this amazing summoner with 4 mana cost and that grants +1 point of speed and 1 point of defense to all my creatures.

Since Deeplurker has the opportunity skill and would attack from any position in the team, and considering that it costs 6 mana and my summoner cost 4 mana points, which would already total 10 mana points, I decided to put 3 creatures of 1 mana point in the first 3 positions of the team, allowing them to suffer the attacks while DeepLurker did damage to enemy monsters, and the chosen ones were Albatross, Chaos Agent and Hardy Stonefish.

So the battle beggins.

My opponent surprised me and came to the battle with an earth team and with the summoner Mylor Crowling, which has been little seen in recent battles, but which months ago was very used.

And to complete his team he chose Unicorn Mustang and Khmer Princess.

By the choice of team it was already possible to calculate that it wouldn't be a very long battle, and it started with the Unicorn Mustang attacking my Albatross and, after that, DeepLurker defeated the Khmer Princess.

From then on, the battle became 4 on 1, with only Unicorn Mustang attacking my initial creatures, which had the shield granted by the summoner, and my DeepLurker attacking him and taking damage from Mylor's ability.

This dynamic continued until the fourth round when my DeepLurker was defeated and Unicorn Mustang had only 1 life point:

There was not much left for my opponent to do until Hardy Stonefish defeated him.

It was a beautiful victory.

It was a very interesting battle, my opponent's choice really surprised me, if I hadn't chosen to put the 3 creatures of 1 mana cost in the initial part of my team it is very likely that I would have been defeated since the Unicorn Mustang has a high damage power.

Deeplurker is a great card and has certainly become one of the most used cards in recent Chaos Legion battles. I, for one, have used this creature a lot in conjunction with DiemonShark which makes them a very powerful duo.

So that's it, folks.

I hope you enjoyed it and thanks for reading.

Hello friends from the Splinterlands community, are you all right? I hope so!

Today we are together again for another Splinterlands weekly challenge, but today's post will be completely different from what I am used to do, because in this post I will bring my battle recorded on video, and not through prints as I usually do in the last ones.

So let's go.

This week's theme is "SHADOW SNITCH".

This is a common death card from the Chaos Legion Pack.

It has, at its first level, 1 meele attack point, 1 speed point and 5 life points, and costs 4 mana points to be added in battle.

Its status is somewhat average for its battle cost, so it is a reasonable cost benefit.

However, it has the ability Reach, which allows it to attack from the second position of the team, which, because it is a creature with melee attack, would not be possible without this ability.

Starting at level 6 Shadow Snitch acquires the skill "Affliction" whereby a creature, when attacked by another creature with this skill, cannot have its life healed by other friendly creatures.

At level 10 Shadow Snitch gets the skill "Dodge" which gives him a great chance to dodge ranged or melee attacks and gives him 3 attack points, 4 speed points and 7 life points.

My current battle status is 297 rating and I'm in the "Bronze III" league, so those are the characteristics of the Battle Weekly Challenge, and the choice of battle rules was as follows:

As you can see, it was a complete battle, with 30 mana cap, which is very high, and all the elements available without any rules.

My opponent, in his last 5 battles, used mixed teams, so it is a little complicated to imagine which team he would use.

Anyway, I believed that the team would be the earth team, so I decided to assemble a team more focused against this element.

My team went into battle with the following formation:

Thaddius Brood as my summoner, for reducing 1 point of magic damage and 1 point of life of opposing creatures, which would be very useful if the opponent actually came with the earth team.

Bone Golem, as my tanker, because, besides having considerable status, in this case 6 life points and 2 armor points, it still has the Void ability, reducing the opponent's magic damage by 1 point, which together with Thaddius' debuff would be very useful.

Shadow Snitch in the second position, to be able to participate in the weekly challenge and for his Recah skill that allows him to attack from such a position in the team.

Disintegrator, because as I was not sure if the opponent would use an earth element team with a lot of magic damage, the "demoralize" ability of this creature would be of great value in case it was necessary to reduce the physical damage of the opponent's creatures.

Life Sapper, for its magic damage, and above all, for its life leech ability and the ability to gain 1 life point for every 1 magic damage done.

Death Elemental, for its magic damage and Sniper ability, so it would attack other monsters instead of the tanker, and in the end,

Weirding Warrior for its Shalter ability which causes the destruction of the opponent's armor when attacking.

So the battle beggins.

My decision was right and my opponent chose team earth to participate in the battle, having composed the same with the following formation:

  • Obsidian as summoner.
  • Mycelic Slipspawn as tanker
  • Goblin Psychic
  • Regal Peryton
  • Khmer Princess
  • Venari Spellsmith

Facing the Taunt ability of the opponent's Mycelic Slipspawn all my monsters focused their attack on it.

For the opponent all his monsters focused on attacking my Bone Golem, and only the Mycelic Slipspawn and the Goblin Psychic did damage to it.

But all the damage that was done to the Mycelic Slipspawn was healed by the Goblin Psychic, and this was the dynamic of the battle until the end of the third round, when my Bone Golem was defeated, pulling my Disintegrator into first place.

The battle was certainly off to a bad start for me.

Only in the fifth round I managed to defeat the Mycelic, still with the Disintegrator in first position, and it was there that the battle began to turn around, as my Life Sapper, by this time, already had 7 life points.

In the sixth round I defeated the Goblin Psychic, and in the seventh round it was the turn of the Khmer Princess to be defeated.

The battle had turned to my side.

In the eighth round, still with Life Sapper, Death Elemental, and Weirding warrior, I defeated Venari Spellsmith, leaving only Regal Peryton on the opposing team.

But in the ninth round he did not resist and the battle finally ended with a beautiful victory for me:

It was a great battle and I was really pleased with the result, my choices were almost all right and the creatures fulfilled their roles, which contributed to a positive result.

I am still getting familiar with all the creatures from Chaos Legion, but SHADOW SNITCH is one that I have used in some of my death battles, and it helped me in the weekly challenge.

It is a good card that helps the team a lot because of its Reach ability, as I mentioned above, which I will certainly continue to use.

I hope you enjoyed this new version of the post and thanks for reading.

Hello friends from the Gods Unchained community, is everything okay with you? I hope so.

Ever since I found out that every 25 levels up in Gods Unchained you get a legendary chest as a reward, which obviously contains a legendary card, which I became aware of when I reached level 25 and received a legendary chest, I have been working hard and looking forward to reach level 50 in the game and thus receive another legendary chest.

I do not remember how long it took between level 25 and level 50, but I can safely say that it was more than 25 days between these, and this period was prolonged as a result of the end of year holidays, so I can say that it is not such an easy task to evolve so much.

In fact, if it were not so, that is, if it were easy to evolve 25 levels, we certainly would not be rewarded with legendary baus.

So, considering all the factors involved in reaching level 50, it deserves to be shared when it is done, and that is what I am here to do with you in this post today, that is, I want to share with you my arrival at level 50 in Gods Unchained, and then show you the legendary chest and the cards it contains.

And here we go.

I decided to record the moment of reaching level 50 when I was very close to it, specifically at level 49 with no more than 3 battles left to level up, and then I started recording the battles and later recording the opening of the chest.

And it was indeed necessary only 3 battles to reach level 50, having won one and lost two of the 3 battles, which can be seen in the video above, but which I will deal specifically with below.

But initially it is pertinent to note that in the three battles I used a nature deck, which I have already dealt with in a previous post and can be checked here.

Let's look at the battles:

The first of the 3 battles in I started with a victory against an opponent who also chose the Nature Goddess.

He had a big disadvantage in the match, because even though he was the second to play, he simply "skipped" his first turn, giving me the opportunity to add 2 creatures to the battlefield already in the second turn.

From then on I kept a good grip on the battle, always having an advantage in the number of creatures.

On the fifth turn I added "Bladefly", a wild 2/2 creature that, with its Roar ability, summons another two 2/2 "Bladefly", that is, 3 creatures on the same card.

And on the next turn I used Wildfire, through which one damage is done to all my opponent's creatures and my Wild creatures get 1 point of strength, 1 point of life and 1 point of regeneration, they got really strong, let's see:

This is one of my favorite combos from this deck and it certainly proves to be very powerful, the creatures become very strong and still gain life regeneration.

From then on he didn't have many options left and his opponent gave up just 2 turns after the combo.

It was a beautiful victory.

In the second battle my opponent chose a light team, having started the battle by summoning a relic on the first turn and, on the second turn, the legendary "The Nemean Lion" whose ability is to increase its status by 1/1 whenever a creature enters the battle.

On my second turn I made a wrong move, summoning a creature with Roar that ended up increasing the strength of "The Nemean Lion", which did not prove to be adequate afterwards.

This mistake caused me great difficulty in later defeating the Lion, because the opponent kept focusing on adding creatures with Roar to the battle, making it stronger and stronger.

He also managed to control my creatures well with the God of Light's "Lysander's Honor" ability, through which he reduced the strength of one of my creatures by one point.

On the fourth turn I ended up making another mistake, as I summoned the "Bladefly" again and thought that only the first of these would have the Roar ability, but this was not the case, all three "Bladefly" increased the Lion's strength and life, living and learning.

And this mistake really cost me, as in the next round the opponent brought into play another amazing legendary creature, "Bardelys, Parthene Orator" which also had the Roar ability and gained 1 strength point for each of my creatures and 1 life point for each of his creatures, becoming a 5/4 creature for the low cost of 3 mana points.

I tried to keep my defense always active, but my creatures didn't even last a turn on the battlefield and I couldn't do anything with them.

And after completely dominating the battlefield with 5 creatures, 3 with protection, the opponent still used "Radiant Dawn" which grants 1/2 to all friendly creatures, making them extremely powerful:

There was not much that could be done, so I decided to quit after 2 rounds, when the opponent had 24 attack points on the battlefield.

The third battle was again against the goddess of nature, just as it had been the first, with me taking the first turn.

In this battle I was really completely dominated, having kept a little control just at the beginning, but my opponent played amazingly well and imposed himself.

By the fifth round he had 2 powerful creatures, including one that granted him a nature card every round (Celestial Stag), which remained until the end of the battle.

In the seventh round the battle was contested, but the opponent used "Sudden Bloom" which granted him 5/5, overkill and twin strike to his most powerful creature, having annihilated all my creatures with just one attack, so I left the game the next turn already defeated.

Although it was only 1 win in the 3 matches, the experience gained was enough to reach level 50 and win the legendary chest.

The opening of the chest can be seen in the video above, and I received the following cards:

As you can see there were 4 common cards, 2 nature and 2 neutral, and a legendary card of the Goddess of Death.

Among the common cards, the one I found most interesting was the first one, "Canopy Barrage", which deals 4 damage to a random enemy creature and costs only 2 mana points. This spell can be interesting for killing a creature with a mana cost much higher than 2, and is certainly an advantage.

The legendary card contained in the open pack was "Cerberus, Styx Hound" from the Goddess of Death whose 5/6 status is average for a 7 mana card.

But "Cerberus, Styx Hound" has an amazing ability whose effect is to randomly destroy three other creatures with 3 life points or less at the end of the turn.

It is really a battlefield "cleaner".

It can be very useful if used wisely, since you don't need to destroy an opponent's creature until its life is reduced to zero, just leave it with 3 life points and you can attack another one, because at the end Cerberus will finish the job.

And that's it my friends, this is another milestone reached by me in Gods Unchained and now I also have another legendary card, I hope you enjoyed it.

Thanks for reading.

Hello friends, how are you? I hope so.

Here I am starting well 2022 with another post about Gods Unchained, and today I will present you a Thaeriel deck, god of Light, that I have been using in my most recent battles, with which I have been getting good results.

The deck was created based on some card tests that I made and with the improvement of some other cards that I received via pack, which I present to you below.

And here we go.

With this deck I have recently achieved a sequence of 5 wins in a row, which are shown in the video above, that's why I decided to share it with you.

Let's look at the cards that make up the deck in today's post:

Source: GUDECKS.com

As we can see above the deck is composed almost in equal parts between Light creatures and Neutral creatures, having as characteristic

In addition there is a division between the amount of mana of the creatures, not being a deck for a quick win, nor, a deck of very strong creatures,

The power I use for Thaeriel is Heal, which heals 2 life points of one of my creatures for the cost of 2 mana points.

By the way, the use of Heal through Thaeriel is one of the characteristics of this deck, because, as you can see in the battles I've done, which are in the video above, many rounds I used this power to heal creatures that had taken damage.

And Thaeriel's Heal power is combined with the "Radiant Spirit" ability, one of the good cards in this deck, so let's talk about it:

This is a very useful and dynamic card, because it has a good status (3 attack points and 4 life points) for its mana cost of 4 points, in addition to its standard ability to recover 2 life points from a random friendly creature.

Another distinguishing feature of the ability is that it takes effect as early as the turn Radiant Spirit is added to the battlefield.

Using it in conjunction with Thaeriel's Heal ability grants 4 life points to her friendly creatures, which can be a nice plus.

Another amazing creature in the deck, its 1 attack status and especially its 4 life status are good for a creature with only 2 mana cost.

But the combination of Chalice's amazing ability to reduce an enemy creature's strength to 2, and its backline condition, whereby Chalice can only be directly attacked if there is no other creature on the battlefield, make it a great tool for controlling the battlefield.

If your opponent can't defeat Chalice with magic, he or she may have a very hard time trying with just physical damage, because if there is a friendly creature with more life on the battlefield, it can withstand the 2 damage attacks (reduced by Chalice's ability) and then have its life restored by Thariel's ability or by Radiant Spirit itself.

This is a great combo that, when successfully included on the battlefield, can mean a good path to victory.

Patron's Sacrament is a spell whose effect grants frontline and protected to a friendly creature.

At first it may seem like a simple spell, but considering its low mana cost (only 1), it can be used to grant such effects to a very powerful creature in the deck, Feral Shapeshifter for example

I really liked this card, it is a spell with low mana cost (only 2 points) but with totally undefined healing power depending on how many life points the target friendly creature is missing. With only 2 mana points you can recover 100% of a strong creature that was close to defeat, bringing it back into battle and gaining a big advantage.

After having seen above some of the cards that make up this deck, let's see it in action with 3 battles, which are available for viewing in the video.

Opponent chose Goddess of Death, in the initial card draw I did not get any cards with 1 mana point, so I already had to spend my additional mana point on the very first turn.

I used Brilliant Intervention right on the second round to recover life, as well as grant the frontline ability, to my Skeleton Heavy who had just defeated the opposing creature.

In the next turn I already used Watchful Hound, which I talked about in another post (here) completely disabling the opposing creature, but this lasted only one turn.

On the fourth turn we can see the use of Thaeriel's Heal ability, recovering the life of my Skeleton Heavy that had already defeated 2 opposing creatures, on this turn I also added the "Chalice Priest" having a 2/4 creature on the battlefield.

What would be a great combo, as we dealt with above, but the opponent focused on destroying it with a spell, not keeping any creatures on the battlefield.

After this I had the game totally under control and not much effort was needed for victory, having completely dominated the battlefield:

In the seventh round the opponent gave up the battle

This time the opponent was God of Magic and my card draw was certainly better, coming out with good 1, 2 and 3 mana cards.

In the second round I added Skeleton Heavy to the battlefield for fear that my Chalice Priest would be defeated by a simple magic, but I should have opted for Chalice, which I added in the third round, having managed to reduce the attack of 2 opponent creatures until it was destroyed with a magic.

After that I had a little difficulty, because I did not have enough mana to summon the creatures that were in my hand, and my opponent always focusing on causing damage to my God, and I always using his Heal ability.

The opponent almost dominated the battlefield:

On the ninth turn the opponent added Hired Muscle to the battlefield and then I used Penitence, transforming Hired Muscle into a 2/2 Acolyte and gaining control over it, adding frontline, protected and ward to it.

He was certainly nervous about this move, so much so that from then on he could not do much, and a few rounds later he was defeated.

Opponent decided to choose the nature team and again I got good cards in the initial draw, drawing two one mana points and one two mana point.

It was a closely fought battle until the sixth round, with new creatures being added to the battlefield at each turn.

In the seventh round I added Chalice and completely dominated the game:

There was not much for my opponent to accomplish and in 3 rounds he was already totally defeated leaving the game.

I hope, with the explanations presented, have been able to show you a little of the functionality and use of this deck that, for me, has brought good results and a good average of victories.

With it I have achieved a good control over the battles, many times not even being seriously threatened by the opponent, and the existence of cards with varied amounts of mana make it very dynamic, possessing enough strength at the beginning of the battle, to resist more aggressive decks and, at the same time, possessing powerful creatures to resist longer battles.

On the other hand, there are the heal abilities, as mentioned above, that help us in several moments of the battle.

In the future I will carry out new tests and make changes to the deck, including one or two relics to make it even more powerful.

Thanks for reading.

Hello dear friends of Gods Unchained, are you all right? I hope so.

In today's post I want to share with you more information about an amazing legendary creature from Aeona, Goddess of Nature, the powerful Gersemi, Freyja's Spear.

I will bring more information and my opinion about the card, its potential, its abilities and what my strategy is in game, including a gameplay that demonstrates well a battle in which I got total success with the strategy.

And here we go.

Gersemi is one of the cards in my not-so-large collection of legendary cards, but very much liked by me, that I often use in my decks.

First of all let's look at Gersemi, Freyja's Spear:

Gersemi has a cost of 3 mana to enter the battlefield and has 4 attack points and 2 health points, so, as you can see, it is not a creature whose strength and life status are its great differential.

It has the ability Roar and the ability Afterlife with the same effect, such as giving +1 regeneration to all friendly creatures on the battlefield.

These skills, at first, do not prove to be of great value or even of high offensive power, however, if well used at the right time can mean the difference between victory and defeat on the battlefield.

My strategy for using Gersemi is to include it on the battlefield at the moment when there are as many friendly cards as possible, but this is not always possible.

In the vast majority of cases, when Gersemi enters the battlefield the mana cost to summon it prevents other creatures from being summoned first and benefiting from the effect of its roar ability.

However, even if it is not possible to summon creatures and Gersemi on the same turn, it is possible to do so on the next turn, and the new creatures will benefit from the effect of the afterlife ability, no longer the roar, when Gersemi is defeated.

At this point it is interesting to note that my core game strategy, and not only with the Aeona - Goddess of Nature - deck, is focused on creatures with frontline ability, I believe this is not a pro-player strategy, but it gives me the security of the game, protecting my God and my weaker creatures, as well as allowing the adoption of some combos.

Therefore, before adding Gersemi to the battlefield, I always try to have a creature with frontline on the battlefield, this will make it difficult, but not impossible, for him to be defeated on the next turn, making it impossible to fully benefit from his abilities.

This way, when I already have a creature with frontline on the battlefield I try to "calculate" the possible attack damage of my opponent on the next turn, being impossible to measure with total security since there are many spells and creatures with direct damage on the summoning turn, and then I summon Gersemi when there isn't much chance of being defeated on the next turn.

With this tactic the creatures that were already on the battlefield, including the one with the frontline ability, will benefit from the Roar ability, and on the next turn I can summon other creatures that will benefit from the Afterlife ability, and the ones that benefit from Roar will cumulate regen.

So far so good, but an interesting insight I've had in recent battles, and which has improved the use of Gersemi, is to attack and cause it to be sacrificed at the end of the round after adding the creatures to the battlefield.

This strategy has 3 effects: i) reduce the amount of enemy creatures for the next turn that could possibly attack; ii) make it harder for the newly added creatures to the battlefield to be defeated the next turn and iii) grant the benefit of Gersemi's afterlife ability to the newly added creatures.

This will leave your opponent with a reduced amount of creatures on the battlefield and you, on the other hand, will have several creatures with +2 or +1 regeneration.

But let's leave the theory aside and see, in practice, how this strategy worked.

As you can see in the video above I present 2 battles, these being:

Battle 01: Until the sixth turn the battle was very evenly balanced, with the opponent in this round having four creatures on the battlefield, one with protected, and me only one, an Overgrown Rhino.

So, although it was not the ideal scenario, I had in my hand an amazon flanker, whose roar ability is to summon 2 more amazon flankers, that is, 3 creatures for 1.

And I cast my luck by placing the gersemi on the battlefield, and my opponent then decided to attack my god with full force, and stopped attacking my creatures.

The next turn I went from 3 to 6 creatures with Amazon Flanker, with one of these being defeated on an attack from me, and I subsequently sacrificed Gersemi granting +1 regeneration to friendly creatures.

And from then on the game changed substantially, as it took only 2 turns for me to win the game and liquidate the 19 life points of the opposing God.

Battle 02: In this battle I got Gersemi right from the card draw and kept him in my hand.

The opponent maintained a very aggressive posture against my God, constantly attacking him with direct damage.

I put Gersemi on the battlefield on turn 4, when I had 3 other creatures on the battlefield, including a black Jaguar that already had a regeneration point.

I used this battle as an example to demonstrate how important it is to use a frontline creature in conjunction with Gersemi in this strategy, because the opponent had total focus against it and defeated it on the next turn, causing the 3 creatures on the table to receive the benefits of Roar and Afterlife.

The Black Jaguar even remained with a status of 3/3/3.

And only 2 turns later the opponent simply gave up the game when his God had 17 life points, demonstrating Gersemi's strength even if the strategy worked only partially.

Well my friends, this is the strategy that I like to adopt with Gersemi and I have been very successful with it, which has helped me to raise my ranking by increasing my win rate.

It is certain that the strategy will not work every time, nor that it will mean a sure victory, but it will certainly give you a good advantage and a great control over the battle.

I hope you enjoyed the content.
