On this weeks episode of The EMpowering PATH Podcast, I am joined by my life and business partner Nick Edgar and our special guest, Danny Andrews.Danny is a radio presenter at Surrey Hills Radio, speaker, fundraiser, ambassador for Mindfest and a huge advocate for supporting mental health and breaking the stigma.
In this vulnerable episode, Danny shares the challenges he faced in his childhood including the relationship with his father and the falling out of love with football after an injury. Danny shares tales of his beloved Grandad, John Andrews, who sadly lost his fight to Parkinsons' Disease earlier this year and how Danny has been navigating his grief since. Danny recently raised a huge £2615 for Parkinson's Disease in honour of his Grandad, where he delivered a 30-hour charity broadcast. This is alongside a long list of charity fundraising that Danny has completed. In this solo episode, I talk all about hyper-independence, something that can be incredibly common for those humans who had to grow up quickly and potentially caretake for those around them. As a COA (child of an alcoholic), I grew up incredibly quickly, and it is only now at the age of 39 that I can look at myself and understand the armour and independence that has protected me throughout my life.
Asking for help can be incredibly hard. I see you.
This is your reminder of how worthy you are of being witnessed, heard and supported.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday this weekend to spend the day listening to the most inspiring Buddhist monk, Gelong Thubten at a Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Centre in London.
The weekend allowed me to deeply reflect on the mindfulness and wellness space, especially within the western world, and some of the toxic positivity that I have noticed for a while.
Are our well-being practices actually bypassing healing?

I wanted to share this very personal episode on Children of Alcoholics week.
920,000 children are living with alcoholic parents in the UK and the government abolished any funding to support children with this......don't get me started.
This share is terrifying for a part of me, the recovering codependent that doesn't want to upset anyone with this share.
I know how much other people's stories have helped in my healing and growth journey which is why I have decided to share about alcohol has contributed to my pain, and how it has helped to numb it.

In this episode, I share the reasons behind saying goodbye to my social media name 'The Highly Sensitive Coach', and how I am reintroducing myself as Jess Frost.
I reiterate the power of reflective practice when it comes to labels and how we can begin again and pivot as often as we want.
I am still coaching highly sensitive people, but this episode discusses how my practice is so much more than our wonderful trait. My passion is to support you as you go deeper into the root causes of our beliefs and behaviours and to help you thrive authentically, in all areas of your personal and professional life.

I also talk about the power of labels and diagnoses, something I have been personally reflecting on for a while. I discuss how we can cultivate curiosity and self-agency when it comes to our ever-evolving beliefs and opinions, and how we can choose when labels move from empowering to disempowering. Lots for us all to think about :)

How can we go inwards and observe our body and mind when we experience vulnerability hangovers? How can we cultivate inner safety as we navigate our healing journey, and share our story and experiences with others?

In this episode, I offer the view that your high sensitivity is NOT the problem. Yep, I said it!
This was one of my biggest lessons during my empowering path journey and something that I now support fellow HSPs with both 1:1 and in Sensitive Soul Society. Our HSP trait is a layer of the onion. A very important layer, granted, however, there are so many more reasons why we feel 'stuck', 'overwhelmed' and lacking in self-belief.
How can we take our self-awareness and self-compassion to a whole new level and take responsibility for all of the areas of our self-development?

In this episode, I am joined by Psychotherapist, Harriet Gleeson aka @the.good.enough.therapist on Instagram.
Deep, unconscious feelings of not feeling good enough can be masked by behaviours such as perfectionism and overworking, which I have personally experienced and have worked hard to heal. In this episode, we discuss why and how these unconscious beliefs about ourselves originate, how we identify them in our adult behaviour and how we can get the support to overcome them.

In this solo episode, I reflect on the language of overwhelm and overstimulation.
Overstimulation is a sign of being a highly sensitive person, and is something we may experience on a regular basis. Could the word 'overwhelm' be a gateway to shame and harsh inner criticism? Could 'overstimulation' be a more empowering way to describe our experiences?

In this solo episode, I talk about my journey with perfectionism and finally realising my worth.
“Understanding the difference between healthy striving and perfectionism is critical to laying down the shield and picking up your life. Research shows that perfectionism hampers success. In fact, it’s often the path to depression, anxiety, addiction, and life paralysis”. – Brené Brown.

A deeply personal reflection from me in this episode. As a HSP, I have always found criticism and negative feedback incredibly difficult to deal with. I wanted to share how I dealt with some criticism over the past couple of weeks, and walk you through the tools that I used to ground myself.
If you resonate, you are not alone. I have a little gift for you......
On Tuesday 30th November at 7:30pm, I am hosting a FREE virtual masterclass, 'Overwhelmed to Owning it'. In this masterclass, I will share some of my healing journey, and the 4 stage process I used to empower myself and OWN IT. Are you ready to start standing in your sensitive superpowers?

In this solo episode, I am talking all things triggers. If you find yourself reacting rather than responding, and consumed by strong negative emotions such as anger, sadness, fear etc, I urge you to listen to this.
For years I was unaware of the power that triggers have, and if I am conscious of them, they offer a gift of healing and growth.

A vulnerable, solo episode reflecting upon my personal lessons from corporate leadership. I wanted to share my experience of leading as a highly sensitive person and empath. I thought my leadership journey was over when I was told "I was too sensitive to be a Manager and Leader", and that "leaders don't show emotions", but thankfully it wasn't. Through working with various coaches and self healing, I was able to channel my sensitive superpowers to thrive within leadership. I hope you enjoy and there are some takeaways for you too. Until next time, take care of yourself and protect your energy.

In this special episode, I am joined by the wonderful Kat Horrocks. Kat is a Mindset and Success coach who helps ambitious women and female founders rewire their mindset for success, achieve their goals and step into their next level! Kat was my first ever 1:1 coach who helped me to work on sticky money mindset blocks, cultivating confidence and to finally put myself first after years of codependency. We discuss our experiences of shadow work (understanding and healing our unconscious mind) and how important it is for life and business. We talk money beliefs and how we can unconsciously create a ceiling for our success, the importance of understanding our shadow to truly support other women, manifestation about understanding the blocks, and the importance of letting go and surrendering to the process. Welcome, to episode 4 of the podcast! This is a very special one for me. In this episode, I am joined by my dear friend Riley @theempowermentguy, who talks openly about his transgender journey, along with his experience of ADHD and being a fellow Empath/HSP.
