Going off social media for one day can be tough, but going off for 40 days feels like torture—at least to Sonia. Upon realizing the extent of her time lost to mindlessly scrolling through social media apps, notably TikTok, she realized the need of a break. Apart from this challenge, February was eventful for her; she celebrated her cousin's wedding, ordered Chinese food for the umpteenth time on Valentine's Day, and found herself teaching 3rd grade once more after securing a long-term substitute position, which only served as a reminder of why she quit in the first place.

When you're traveling to LA, you don't need to be there for very long before you realize two things: one, if you don't account for the traffic, you will be late; and two, visiting LA with a friend is definitely not the same as visiting LA by yourself. This was certainly the case for Sonia. On the 50th episode of 'What a Week', Sonia takes you through the second part of her 10-day vacation to Los Angeles as a solo traveler. What could go wrong?

This weeks episode of 'What a Week', is sponsored by caffeine. While caffeine cannot actually sponsor an episode, it is the jittery effects that helped Sonia get through this week's podcast. If you need to change the speed of this episode, we will not judge. Anyways, Sonia chats about working late, getting ready for Eric Nam's concert, and the freak accident that sent her to the nurse. Let's just say, this week left a mark...literally.

On this episode of 'What a Week', Sonia embodies the phrase "Que Será, Será." While she starts to feel the same stress build as behavior issues arise in the classroom, she quickly brushes it off and takes it day by day. Also, as comments about her appearance are made, she speaks up and does not let that dictate her mood. Being optimistic and changing one's outlook on life is not easy, but it has made this life much more enjoyable.
