Today we discuss the Oprah interview where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tell their truth around why they decided to leave the royal family. We talk through our personal take aways from the conversation and look at it from the perspective of a “black sheep” and/or scapegoat, being gaslit, and the consequences of leaving toxic professional and/or familial environments. We hope this weeks episode provides some reflection but also some comic relief during this very difficult time. #stopasianhate #truthtellers

On this episode, we will be covering the humanitarian crisis happening in #Tigray, the northern most region in Ethiopia. Since November 4th, 2020, the people of Tigray have been suffering from food shortages, mass violence, sexual violence, displacement, and other atrocities amounting to war crimes because of political conflict between the regional and federal government. However, the international community has remained largely silent.
We have invited special guest, Melat, #Tigray advocate, to unpack the realities of the #Tigray region and innocent people.
This episode also launches a collaboration with Melat and others in fundraising for survivors of sexual violence in Tigray. We will be raising funds through the end of March. Stay up to date with our awareness campaign on our socials and help by sharing, reposting, tweeting, and donating! https://linktr.ee/amiwholeyetpodcast

This one might ruffles some feathers ....
We want to be intentional in saying we love and respect our families and their humanness. This is just us processing our lives and what feels true based on our experiences. Our truths have to be spoken regardless of who may be inconvenienced by them. It’s all love, we are just pursuing healing. We hope this one empowers you to process your own role in your family and how it appears in your present life! Enjoy!

Sam + Maki
