About Speak Out & Up LawLeslee Matthews is the Founder & Managing Attorney of Speak Out & Up Law. She is an advocate for social justice and passionate about connecting the community with resources. She is also a Licensed Master Social Worker and attorney who has dedicated her life’s work to serving underserved people and communities.  The team at Speak Out & Up Law is focused on working to end violence against women and girls, building community with uncommon allies, elevating the voices of those who have been silenced, and enhancing service provision to underserved communities. Joshua Rivera is the Community Director at Hub Coworking Hawai’i. He has a background in marketing and is committed to helping local businesses and entrepreneurs. He was previously a Community Coordinator for Yelp Hawaii, planning community events and managing their marketing initiatives. Prior to marketing, Joshua served 4 years in the U.S. Army as a Mobile Gun System Platoon Leader and Signal Corp Platoon Leader. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a focus in marketing.

George Yarbrough, Nam Vu, and Meeta Vu are cofounders of Hub Coworking Hawai’i. In this month’s Humans of the Hub episode, they discuss the Hub’s origin, community impact, and potential happenings in 2023. 

Nam and Meeta continue to spearhead operations at the Hub. George is attending school at the USC Iovine and Young Academy and working at the University of Hawai’i Office of Innovation and Commercialization, where he is developing an incubator for UH faculty who want to commercialize their innovations.

Veronica Vera is a Honolulu-based writer and host at the Hub. She is leading a weekly writing meetup during November for National Novel Writing Month, during which she is tackling a Sci-Fi novel. Other members of the group are writing memoirs, poetry, and other creative works. Some of the stories crafted during November will be shared during an upcoming Stories Out Loud event.

Anette Arinix joins host, Alexander Deedy to talk about the "Haps" in and out of the Hub! Arinix is a Samoan-American comedian, actor, writer, and producer from Hawaii. Local audiences may recognize her as “the wife” in the popular Diamond Bakery commercials.

As an actor, she has performed with various Honolulu theatre companies, including Kumu Kahua, Manoa Valley Theatre, and Stage Fish. She has also written and performed in The Hawaii Comedy Festival for several years and is a regular player with Improv Hawaii.

On October 15, 2022 as part of the Hawai'i Comedy Festival,  Polynesian AF, a sketch comedy show co-produced by Arinix and Asian AF will go up at Studio 909. She is also a co-producer for several Improv Hawaii in-person comedy shows and live streams.

Staci Taniguchi does civil and environmental engineering design consulting work through her
firm Kokoro Engineering.  She worked for a private Honolulu-based firm for 15 years before
launching her own business in 2022.   Staci  has been a member of Hub Coworking since April
2022 and has launched a monthly lunch series at the Hub, Hub Dojo.

She's run 100 miles of a cancelled mountain race alone, thru-hiked New Zealand's 1700km Te Araroa trail, and cycled across the USA.
