What Gives Traction to Your Ministry
Here’s the overall life development process I’ve followed for years.
Once I figured this out, I got more and better kingdom results.
Even though I got pretty good results early in my ministry, discovering this primary key really escalated all God did. Nowadays, the kingdom results continue to expand and deepen.
It can happen for you if you follow it.
This myth is most popular among new ministers, regardless of age.
It’s a sophomore mistake.
“Organic growth” sounds spiritual and maybe biblical, but it is neither. It also does not work.

So much of our leadership comes from the way we think. Our deepest work and greatest results come from changing our mental processing.

Too often we create the blocks to progress. I hear it a lot from leaders and churches who are not getting traction towards increased ministry effectiveness.

Every ministry (and I rarely use the word “every”) needs a clear mission/vision. Otherwise, nobody really knows what we are seeking to accomplish as a collective. But very often you should not work on the mission until some things get cleared up.

Many leaders deal with problems as they come, especially when they are new.
New leaders want to make a great impact, so they believe handling the problems brought to them will help grant them credibility and momentum towards moving the ministry/church forward.

Problem is, we fall short. Sometimes (if we are honest), our new idea doesn’t seem to gain much traction. Then, we wonder why.
We accomplish some good things. But, when we take a step back and look at the effort and time we invest, the results we get aren’t all that extraordinary.

The Worst Form of Church Governance
Church governance determines the structure your church uses for leadership. It’s the format your leaders follow to make decisions, establish controls, determine direction and handle problems.
Sometimes governance is called “polity.” Polity comes from the word “polis” in the Greek language, which means city. It often referred to municipal government, i.e., the way cities were governed.
Churches, as organizations, need a system of polity to function effectively. Many different opinions exist about how churches should be structured.
