The current generation faces a unique challenge due to technology's instant accessibility, which poses obstacles for youth in critical thinking and problem-solving. By engaging in outdoor and social activities, we can assist our children in developing vital skills crucial for their future.
Combining her love for horses and mental health, Tiffany practices equine therapy, customizing methods to individual requirements. She strives to make mental health services inclusive to all, demonstrating openness, authenticity, and adaptability in her approach.

"What's in a Name?" Soul to Sole Connection is committed to supporting our Brave Veterans, active duty personnel, first responders, and their families. During the interview, Katie shares her deep admiration for veterans and other life protectors she assists, along with their families. Teresa Fletcher is the Executive Director of Pegasus TRA. With dual degrees in equine science and psychology, she leads innovative programs and initiatives, cares for the horses, and oversees community programs. Teresa is certified in therapeutic riding instruction and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning, and is an adjunct professor at Delaware Valley University. She may have a busy schedule, but she takes time for helping others. In this interview she shares her story and a very touching experience she has had while working to help humans at Pegasus Riding Academy.
Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Academy in Philadelphia offers therapeutic horseback riding programs and equine-assisted services for individuals with disabilities and those in at-risk populations. They provide over 100 lessons weekly to improve physical and emotional well-being. The academy offers specialized programs and aims to establish excellence in Equine Assisted Services.
Meet Jake LaRue, a veteran who spends his time working with wild mustangs and helping fellow veterans. Jake shares his personal story and explains why he chose wild mustangs as partners in his program, A Man with A Horse Project. As a Marine veteran, Jake shares the therapeutic effects of horses with other veterans who face similar struggles to the ones he has overcome.
Rachael is the founder of two equine-assisted learning programs in Wisconsin, UP THERE and Operation Horses Heal. UP THERE is an acronym for United Partners Through Human Equine Relationship Experience, and the team consists of people, horses, and dogs who work together to help clients achieve personal goals and build better relationships. Marcy Tocker is a certified professional counselor who founded Grey Muzzle Manor Sanctuary, Inc. which offers Animal Assisted Psychotherapy. Horses are used because they are social and have an extraordinary ability to read nonverbal communication. Healing Strides of Virginia is a facility that provides a unique approach to Equine Therapy. They have been providing this service to the community for over 30 years. Equine Therapy is a form of therapy that uses horses to help individuals with a variety of mental, physical, and emotional challenges. Carol Young, the CEO of Healing Strides, shares her journey to the program and how it has grown to what it is today. She shares heartwarming experiences of how Equine Therapy has helped individuals in their personal growth and development. With the help of staff members, volunteers, and their herd of 28 equines, they are able to offer several services to the community. They have partnered with several certification programs and offer training to those interested in Equine Therapy opportunities. Meet Meg Hill - a jack-of-all-trades with a heart for horses. After graduating from St. Edward's University, Austin, TX with a degree in Art and Education, Meg has spent 40 years riding horses in all styles - English, Western, and even Sidesaddle! With a lifetime of personal experience, Meg has always known the magic of horses, and recognized their therapeutic power from a young age. Settling in North Carolina for the past two decades, Meg saw a need for equine-assisted services in her community, inspiring her to create Asheville Equine Therapy Inc. As a center member, they provide equine-assisted services and beginner riding lessons, driven by their goal to enhance lives for all. Their services cater to people with disabilities, special needs, PTSD, and trauma through equine-assisted services, adaptive/therapeutic riding, and horsemanship. Meg and her team strive to build true friendships and make a positive impact on all who cross their path with the help of these majestic creatures.

Kristen Marcus Executive Director, a passionate advocate for CHAPS, shares her story and the programs available to the public. These programs include Adaptive Carriage Driving, Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Learning, and are designed to cater to individuals, groups of veterans, Pre-K children, and aged community members.
One of the benefits of human-horse interaction is its ability to provide both physical and mental-emotional benefits. Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy sessions work to reduce emotional reactivity, anxiety, depression, and improve coping, relationship and communication skills. CHAPS' professional staff and volunteers work closely with clients to ensure safe lessons and increase confidence, while every effort is made to ensure the safety of the client, horse, volunteers and staff.
CHAPS' instructors have a strong equine background, as well as an understanding of various disabilities, and each staff member earns a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education per year. The staff is comprised of outstanding individuals with a heart to help people, and they are committed to changing lives through therapeutic horsemanship.

Rex Buchman is a christian horseman, Clinician & Rancher - "Staying Safe in the Saddle on the Trail."
A third generation rancher from the Flint Hills of Kansas. A Christian, father to five, who with wife Teresa, works raising ranching heritage horses, registered red angus cattle and hosting dude ranch adventures. He created the “Trail of Billy’s Last Ride”, a historic 170 mile trail ride tin New Mexico that lasted for 10+ years. Rex served on the board of the Ultimate Horsemen’s Challenge Association and competed in that association for five years. He has shown in the Midwest Ranch Horse Association.
Rex has attended, hosted, and even taught a few colt starting and horsemanship clinics. Rex has made a living starting colts for five or six years after returning to Kansas from 11.5 years as a county agent in New Mexico. He has coached 4H horse judging teams and colt futurities while in New Mexico.
Rex's purpose at EquiFest is to offer people some help with their horses, to increase their level of enjoyment and safety as they live out their horsemanship journey.

Region 6 is one of the North American Trail Riding Conference regions and is comprised of Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri. Region 6 has its own governing board with each active state represented by board members who work to establish regional by-laws and procedures. Region 6 has two elected national board members who represent the region at the national level. A regional convention is held each year in alternating locations and members of the region represent NATRC at local and state horse fairs as well as at various equine events.

Lisanne Fear grew up in Pinedale, Wyoming, and began her mustang journey while training horses to pay for her books during college. Later, she worked with a guest ranch that bought mustangs from a prison program. She enjoyed seeing the mustangs learn and grow into wonderful horses, and take riders to spectacular places in the mountains. After the ranch, Lis took an interest in camping with horses and ran her own pack trips with friends. She doesn’t like walking or carrying her own gear, so horses are an ideal mode to be able to “camp in comfort” in the backcountry. “Horses have expanded my life,” she says, “and I continue to learn more from them every day.”

Filipe Masetti is a world-renowned Long Rider, award-winning filmmaker, and best-selling author. The Brazilian born cowboy is the youngest person in the world to cross the Americas on horseback and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
In 2020 he was chosen as the Calgary Stampede’s Grand Marshal and ‘white-hatted’ by Mayor Naheed Nenshi. He is the author of the international best-sellers, Long Ride Home (soon to be a motion picture), Long Ride to the End of the World and Last Long Ride.
In 2022 Filipe released his feature Documentary, The Long Rider, on Amazon Prime Canada. The film which tells his 8-year ride from Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina has garnered 19 international awards, including the coveted Western Heritage Award, and received much acclaim from critics! It will come out around the world in 2023.
The first pair of boots he wore on his Long Ride are on display at the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto and two statues, more than five meters tall, have been erected in Brazil to celebrate his feat.

Gary Hink from Paola Kansas has a passion to restore the town square. He began with the purchase of the Jackson Hotel which dates back to 1863 which is still sitting in the same location. If only buildings could talk. Can you imagine all that it has seen? Western movie starts Roy Rogers and Gabby Hayes stayed there in September of 1940. As we sat in the hotel for this interview, Gary tells us where it began for him tells us how he restored this project. He isn’t finished, there is more on his future project list.

Dalton Bruton, 16 years old, tells his life and death experience. Dalton shouldn’t be here but another plan came into play. Dalton is joined by his father Phillip in this interview as they tell about this life threatening experience.
Phillip had to preform CPR on his own son to keep him alive. Can you imagine? Dalton didn’t have much time, odds were against him.
As his little brother handed him his favorite stuffed animal to keep, he wondered if Dalton was going to die. Dalton responded “ I’m not Dying today”.
