We all have been created on purpose with purpose and there was no mistake made by our creator, during this process.  We all have been endowed with gifts and talents that can be fashioned into passions that can ultimately lead us to our purpose.

For those still struggling to find their purpose, this concept may seem overwhelming; however, for those who have laid claim to our purpose, the journey can be just as arduous.

In this week's episode, I am being quite transparent about my disappearance from social media over the last 2 months and how, despite knowing my purpose, nearly gave up on it all. I discuss how I let feelings of inadequacy and insecurities play a major part in me ghosting my purpose.

Now, more than ever, I rely on the power of my tongue. I am careful and intentional about the words that I speak. I encourage you to speak life over your situation. Speak life over your circumstance.  In order to assist you, I have a free gift.

In today's episode, I talk with the founder of Cultivate Wholeness, Ted Ex Speaker, Author, and Purpose Cultivator Yah Hughes as she discusses her book "Hello Me". Yah teaches us "How to Cultivate Your Authentic Self".

" 'HELLO!' It's the most widely used expression or offering of a greeting we give one another. Coined in the 1800s, 'hello' was first used to attract attention or to express surprise and later evolved into America's standard greeting. It's the simplest yet perfect way to welcome, acknowledge, start a conversation with and embrace the person in front of you. Speaking of the person in front of you, have you looked in the mirror and said hello to the most powerful, intelligent, and daring person within...YOU?"

A toxic relationship is one that makes you feel unsupported, misunderstood, demeaned, or attacked. On a basic level, any relationship that makes you feel worse rather than better can become toxic over time. These relationships are unhealthy physically and mentally to not only those in it but to those close to it.

Relationships should be reciprocal. You should be able to receive the love, affection, and support that is given. If this is not being done, reevaluate.

1 Corinthians 13: 4-8

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

Key Takeaways:

  • It's Imperative to know God as a father.
  • Love does not hurt.
  • Trust in God's love for you.
  • God convicts. He does not condemn.

Quotes:

○ “What is stopping you? What is holding you back? You know your dream. You have your vision. You know your calling. But you just won't press publish.” [07:55]

○ “At one point I was thinking, 'you know what? It's better just to sit back and have this dream and dream it because if I never pursue it, I won't know that it failed. I won't know that I was successful at it but I couldn't keep it up.” [24:15]

“I'm here to tell you not everybody is going to support your vision sweetie. You know why? Because it's not theirs— it's yours.” [29:12]
