Behind The Scenes With Teens (BTSWT) is a podcast where a group of outspoken, jovial and witty Christian teens come together to discuss issues and topics that we see on social media and in real life. We ask questions, give facts, answers and boldly speak our minds. At the end of each episode we look to see what the Bible says about these issues and where God and Christianity stand on the matter. These conversations are fun, meaningful and always enlightening.
In this episode we unpack how teachings and popular ideas about purity and virginity influence our lives. We ask whether virginity is a social construct or something more than that and discuss the differences in how virginity is discussed with boys versus girls.
More importantly; what does the Bible say about virginity, sex and purity?
Probably rated as the most exposed group to this topic, we unpack the concept of swearing, cuss words and all ‘bad words’.
What counts as swearing? Is it context-dependent? Does it vary depending on the situation and the intent behind the words? Can swear words be used to affirm people? Finally, what does the Bible say about swearing?
Our emotional, psychological, social and spiritual well-being is influenced by a number of factors, such as our environment and the state of our interpersonal relationships.
In this episode we discuss how the way in which we’re parented can greatly influence our mental well-being and how our parents’ emotional and mental well-being influences how they parent. We talk about the characteristics we’d include if we were building the perfect parent and look to scripture to find out what God’s parenting style is.
