Blessing is empowering the intended purpose of the blesser:
The original plan was God blessing and validating man (mankind). This is why Jesus came back to restore us back to God: In order for God to validate us again, because we fall short of validating our family.
God intended for us man to pass the original blessing onto others.

The Book of Esther: The life of Esther starts off rather grim and then gets worst: Until Esther had lost her mother and father. She and her people were in captivity.

The tradition of fasting was forged in personal works to prove to deity your sincere earnestness and thereby hopefully persuade their favor. This is typical of the sin-conscious-driven currency. Their abstinence was praying for their sins and buying favor from their deity.
John’s disciples were under the old covenant and Jesus represented the new covenant.
God has placed creativity on each of us! He needs us to utilize the creative genius on the inside of us to bring about his plans, purposes and solutions.
