There’s no way we can have expectations of God and other people but not for ourselves.
Expectation alone though is not enough. It must be accompanied by action.
It’s what I do every single day, the choices I make that will determine if my expectations eventually materialize.

God will do whatever it takes to provide for his children. And I know it may be hard to believe based on our experience with humans.
We’ve depended on people who said they would be there, should have been there but left us high and dry and ran from their commitment.
But God is NOTHING like man, He keeps his word. He will not lie to us.
Everything in His word is infallible and true… today, yesterday and forever.

Being malnourished, failing to thrive and having developmental delays as Christians is detrimental to our purpose. We are the light of the world, salt of the earth but if we only want milk, our lives will be powerless and ineffective.
If you can accept the meat of God’s word, you open yourself up to a level of blessings that people who only drink milk will never know anything about.

God never planned for his children to ride the struggle bus all our lives, live in the past, be consumed with what other people are doing and be in the same place emotionally, physically, spiritually and even financially that we were a year ago.
We should always be evolving, moving forward and advancing his kingdom in the earth. It is something that he expects and requires of us.

Jealousy continues to be a huge problem in our world. Satan is behind it but his mission is still the same…..he’s eternally miserable and looking for as much company as he can get.
We’re all susceptible at any moment to fall prey to jealously and envy. Anyone can be jealous of you and you can be jealous of anyone… nobody’s exempt.
Jealously leaves a trail of destruction.

Let’s be diligent about shedding anything from our lives that hinders us and dishonors God. Let’s not waste any more time holding ourselves back.

Discontentment and unhappiness come from within so it’s easy to fall into the trap of trying to fill our own voids by giving our heart what we think it needs.
There’s a saying…. the heart wants what the heart wants, but let me ask you…what happens when the heart gets what it can’t handle?

Although I have never physically been to Antarctica, metaphorically I found myself in a place that was bitterly cold, dark and unrecognizable. My years of making decisions from a place of brokenness eventually caught up with me. My life went from thriving to completely unraveling.
I ended up losing myself and the life that I always imagined was being washed away. Choosing to leave God out of the most important decisions of my life ended up costing me dearly and I wasn't sure if or when I would recover. Regret, guilt and shame made me believe that I deserved the end result, so I decided to just hope for the best.
But the wonderful news is that my story didn't end in defeat. I had the most unforgettable encounter with the unfailing love of Jesus and my journey to wholeness began.
