The Re:Man Initiative is a Short Form podcast dedicated to helping men hit the Reset button on their faith and their lives. It's our belief that many men what to understand and live in a life of faith but haven't been able to put the pieces together and so they have simply given up.They need a Do-Over and this is what Re:Man is all about; teaching men to walk and live in the ultimate Do-Over.
Today is the last episode of the Re:Man Initiative in this format.
I have hope that in the future I can do something like this again but in a Live Q&A mentoring and coaching format instead.
I has been my honor to be used by God to develop and record the content that has been released here over the last year.

The Day I truly believed I was a much loved Son of God.
As we lead into Easter this year, I think it is important to recognize that Jesus did all of this for a specific reason.
Knowing that reason is what this series has been all about.

Today, I want to talk about the importance of understanding and connecting to the debts that Jesus has paid for us on our behalf.
Jesus said that in the lat days, the love of many would grow cold.
But when we know the sins, the debts we have been forgiven of; when we can connect to that hopelessness of our dead state, the life Jesus offers us becomes something that fans the flames of our love for him and for others.
Sons who know they have been redeemed, value the sonship they get to walk in.
This week, we will look at the truth about the bondage that we as humans are born into.
As we approach Easter, we are setting the stage for a better understanding of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus and what this really means for us.
I really don't like horror movies. Even when I wasn't walking with Jesus, I avoided them.
But, I see something in Zombie stories that intrigues me and I thought I'd share with you some thoughts that moves like World War Z, I am Legend and the Walking Dead series brings to my mind.
Believe it or not, our story as humans can be seen in these stories, which may be why we resonate with them.
This is the final episode in my daily prayer practice and in this teaching around how I pray.
There is so much more that I have to learn about prayer, but if I wait until then to share anything with anyone else, nothing would ever be shared.
My practices are not perfect or exhaustive in content. This is just what has been producing life in me and transforming me in Christ.
This is where Holy Spirit fills me, teaches me and gives me boldest to live my faith out loud.
I hope that this tutorial has been helpful and that many of you will start applying this sort of practice to your daily walk with Jesus
This week we pull the curtain back a little further and I share with you my practice of praying for my family as well as my conversation with Holy Spirit as I pray for myself to be the leader that I am called to be.
In this Episode I'll be sharing a practice that Jesus has used to Re-Wire my thinking and my Identity.

This Morning, Friday 2/17/2023 at 2:30 am, Holy Spirit wakes me and begins to speak this message to me.

I LOVE MY KING and I want to always be obedient to whatever he asks of me.

This week is the Intro to set the table for some Hands on Training.
I prayed to learn what Holy Spirit wanted me to share with this audience.
The answer was simple. Teach them how stuff that will help them become disciples.
So, for the weeks to come, I will be doing my best in the format to share with you what I do and how I engage with God, Father , Son and Holy Spirit on a day to day basis.
Think of this as an audio version of a Disciple's Field Manual.
My hope is to make this series really practical and give you something that you can do in your own life. Practices that, once faithfully engaged in will connect you to Christ is ways one can hardly image.

Learning to live like a Son is a GAMECHANGER!!
If you have been struggling in your walk with God if you have been estranged from the Father because of some past sins, this episode is one you needs to listen to.
The area of boundaries was a real challenge for me when I was struggling in my faith and blowing up marriages.
I didn't have any. I had false boundaries that were weak and very ineffective.

I may have mention before that I have movies that I like so much I can watch the countless times and still enjoy them.
One of those for me is “A Knight’s Tale”, near the end of the film, Count Adamar, a man who has a title of nobility but who models not even a single trait of it ...has been defeated in a jousting match, by William, a man who has no title or birthright but in whom nobility seems to just pour out of.
There, lying flat on his Back, Adamar finds William and his crew stand over him and as his eyes open to the horror of that moment, they speak to him saying, ‘You have been weight, you have been measured, and you absolutely have been found wanting. Welcome to the new world! God save you, if it is right that he should so.”
In Adamar’s world, Nobility was rank you’re born into and it was there to serve him and his desires alone, but in this new world True Nobility was something that even the lowest of men could aspire to and it served those around it.
IT IS this new world, where nobility is within the reach of every man; regardless of race, stature or station in life, I want to talk about today

In this episode we start our study in 2 Peter Chapter 1.

The man's life and his Witness of the Life and Story of Jesus is POWERFUL and he has tremendous insight from the perspective of a man who also had some MONSTER failures.

The Apostle Paul challenges us as believers to adopt the attitude of a Living Sacrifice to God, which he says is our Reasonable or Logical response to God considering all he has done for us in and through Christ Jesus.
Evangelist D.L. Moody once comment that the problem with Living Sacrifices is....They Keep Crawling Off The Altar.
I'm Guilty of this in my past as I was struggling in my faith walk with Jesus and I have seen countless men and women struggle this same way.

When God made the First man Adam, he formed him from the Earth, the Dirt.
We are at our core, still Dirt and God is still in the business of shaping & molding this Dirt.
God is the Potter and we are the Clay, but not every clay is suitable for shaping. Most clay needs so prep work before it can be formed into a useful vessel.
When a man starts to be transformed by the Gospel, his Dirt, The Soil of his Heart as Jesus called it ....is tested.
What condition your Dirt is in becomes important to the process of transformation.
Today, we will learn to recognize the 4 possible conditions of Dirt and how those conditions react to the transformation God offers.
This week we continue to discuss what real Spiritual Transformation looks like for a Man and where this process even takes place.
This is a foundational piece of the Gospel story that can't be missed if we are to ever stop acting like slaves and start acting like sons.

Sin is part of every man's story, but it doesn't have to be a continual part of your story.
When we enter into a relationship with Jesus, we become the Sons of God and at that point, how the sins of sons is addressed both by the Father and by the enemies of God changes.
Learning how to discern the difference between the enemies approach and that of the Father is important.
This was a lesson that took me many years to learn and I hope that by sharing with you what I've learned here, you won't need to take as long and as hard a road as I did to get here.

I felt deeply sorrowful for the School Shooting that occurred in Texas yesterday (May 24th, 2022) and was moved in my Spirit to record this response.
Warning!
There will be some that will be offended by what I feel the Holy Spirit pressed me to say today.
I'm not offering apology for this. Those of you who know me, know that I am unapologetic when it comes to my loyalty to Jesus and his Holy Spirit.
And while you may be offended by what I have to say in response to this, it may be an offense that quite honestly, we need.
I deeply love you all and I pray comfort and mercy upon those who are suffering because of this horrible act of violence.
God have Mercy and be with us all.
I've had the privilege of doing life with an incredible group of men for the past 4.5 years.
As with any group of men that are seeking to do life at a higher level, the desire for building resiliency and GRIT is present.
Several years ago we spent a month or so talking about GRIT in our group.
That conversation was the launch pad for me to start asking myself some questions about what really constitutes GRIT.
Learning to do hard things can bring benefit to a man, BUT if you want to build TRUE GRIT... sustainable, Charge Hell with a Squirt Gun kinda GRIT; Cold Showers and Hard Stuff Weekends aren't enough.
Why? Because it often misses the foundational building block of TRUE GRIT.
In this series, I will share with you what I believe the Gospel teaches us about GRIT and how to build it.
This is a four week series .
It was one of the first series I ever recorded and it was one of my favorites because I learned a lot as I searched God's word for GRIT and found it in there in the Gospel.

In this episode I be sharing with you some lessons that have taken me a long time to learn around the need for and power of boundaries.
We need them, we just don't seem to have a good understanding of why this is so.
Some men put up wall around their hearts, but those aren't boundaries, those are Prisons.
Other men like myself put up weak virtual non-existent boundaries that are nothing more than cardboard picket fences.
It was a quote from Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr John Townsend's book Boundaries that triggered this episode for me.

I see men wearing tee shirts that promote their deeply held belief that they ARE NOT SHEEP but Fierce Lions.
Is that REALLY true?

The lessons I will be sharing with you in this series took me years to learn, BUT once I understood the principles at play and allowed myself to be aligned with what was TRUE, I grew by leaps and bounds as a Husband, Father and Man.

Do you have a plan for life? 5year? 10Year?
In this Episode I want to explore the idea of the the span of our days and how we spend them.
I was in the Dr's Office with my youngest son, Colin and while we were there I saw a sign that stated "Life is Short".
Aside from the obvious ironic nature of the sign and where it was placed; my superpower of ADHD kicked in and while on a hyper focused train of of thought around this question, Holy Spirit jumped in and really changed my mindset around this.

Some musings on lesson I was taught by one of my spiritual mentors.
This has served me well for years. I hope something here serves you.
This was one of my favorites of the Episodes I have recorded to date. I moved this into the Episode 2 slot because I personally liked it LOL!
When I was a kid my dad was a Department Store manager for J.C.Penny. When the first Mall opened up in my home town, my Mom took to see where Dad would be working.
What I experience on the trip was unlike anything I had ever known and it started a mindset that in my that followed me for most of my adult life.
One that God has been working to rid me of.
The story told in this episode Inspired me to change the way I think and learning to RE-Think is a powerful part of how the Gospel changes a man.
In this Episode I share with you a story that Jesus used change me in ways I could have never imagined.
I didn't really know how to treat a woman. I just didn't understand. I thought they were the problem, not me.
This simply story ended up convicting me and bringing to a place of repentance and true change.
So much so, I have a tattoo on my left shoulder that reminds me every day the importance of how we value others.

The rock bottom moment shared in this podcast was a catalyst for my own personal experience with the RE that only Jesus can offer.
These are not conjectures or theories based on what I've heard other people talk about. This is RAW unfiltered pain, I have personally tasted that caused a Rude Awakening in me as a man.
Often before we can have any Great Awakenings as must first have a Rude One. This was mine!
