Leo joined the pod and was the most invasive guest! Meg and Cheryl sit outdoors enjoying the last tiny bits of the warm weather. Meg shares with us her romantic surprise getaway where she was folded in half and it wasn’t by her husband while Cheryl shares her inability to act normal at funerals. Is it that these two can’t be normal or is it that they just can’t have normal things happen to them?

Rassy brought in the Red for this episode. Lots of red cheeks while she listens to the redhead share her favorite books and favorite authors. That's right listeners, Maria (Red) is back on the pod! This time she is sharing out what keeps those pages turning. Red is an avid reader and is known for her quick summer reads...fall reads...winter reads..you get the point. This one would have been a good one to have had on video because the eyeballs and the facial expressions you will just have to imagine through our words. Grab your pen and paper and get ready to take some notes on what brings this Red back to her books, even after a night on the town! And, if you have read any of these books or books from these authors, share the episode, tag @rassy6 and @manakans and let us know what you've read!
Cheryl is in her “shorts era”.
Her kid asked why she didn’t wear shorts to the gym. So she had two choices and they looked like this.
Choice 1: Tell her…
Because I hate my legs. I’ve hated my legs forever. When these legs helped me run fast to play years of field hockey, I hated them. When everyone wore shorter dresses at school, I wore long dresses. I think I’m the only human who wanted knee implants because I thought it would make them appear slim . When my legs kept me upright from being pregnant with 4 kids, 2 at the same time, I hated my legs. The veins got worse and traveled from my thigh down to my calves and now they bulge. I never had cellulite and now I do and it’s everywhere. I never had saggy skin and now when I look at my legs they just remind me how fast I’m aging and losing elasticity. I hate my legs. I’ve stood countless of times in the mirror marking how far apart my legs would need to be or have been to create space between my thighs. I just hate my legs.
Choice 2: Wear Shorts…
Tune in as Cheryl and Meg talk about their summer bodies and the difficulties that come with the gift of aging.

Tune in and listen as Cheryl shares some exciting news that's on the horizon and these two banter about trips, vacas and forced time off.

On the couch today is Cheryl and Meg and they talk about just how unfair some situations can be. They cover identity theft, car break-ins, dog attacks and youth sports. What ties all of these things together is how despite our best intentions and efforts, sometimes the world isn't fair. While this episode may be discouraging to hear facts based on real situations, hopefully you will be able to take something away so that you can not only protect yourself, but your car, your identity, your dogs and your kids. Don't worry, Meg and Cheryl can never be too serious. There are a lot of laughs and plans to be the new leaders of the neighborhood watch as well as traveling to a junkyard to test out how actually easy it is or isn't to break into a car; with permission of course.

HAT TRICK! You got that right! PJ is back on the pod for the 3rd time! We start off with an awkward story because let's be honest; who doesn't love a good Cheryl story? Chery convinced PJ to sip on an "adult drink" as they chatted about...the gym, romance, PJ's proposal, childhood stunts, social media problems and a touch of how dudes just don't care.

In this episode Connor takes us on his journey of self discovery. It was an honor that Connor shared his story on this platform. He brings us through the questions, the emotions, the freedom and the struggles he still faces today. Connor is a magical and kind human and boy does he make me laugh. Connor created a space where questions could be asked and his answers were so true to his story and mindful of others.

Captain of the Jets, Randy Rasmussen was known as the "Farm Boy from Nebraska". 15 Seasons, 1 Super Bowl Ring, 207 Games, 2nd Team All-Pro 1972 and 1979, and 199 Consecutive Starts, but you couldn't meet a more humble man. In this episode, Randy takes us on his journey of being a Jet. Maynard, Johnson, Buttle, Klecko, Namath, and Hill, are just a few of the players that Randy mentions as having an impact on him as a player and as a person. This is for everyone. It's for all of the football players, all of the trainers, it's for the coaches and the teachers, it's for the farm boys, and anyone else who ever had a dream, but it is especially for his two sons and all of his grandkids. We will definitely treasure this episode forever. Our wish as a family is that through this journey, Randy Rasmussen enters The Ring Of Honor for the 2023/2024 NFL season.

On this episode, Cheryl interviews Meg Badger, NTP & Doula, as they review Cheryl's most recent hair analysis test. Meg helps women who are struggling with infertility heal their metabolism & get pregnant. Now don't get the wrong idea here, Cheryl is NOT trying to get pregnant! Meg offers a variety of services and knowledge. Recently Cheryl had some hair testing done to see the levels of minerals and toxic metals in her body. Meg reviewed the results and set up a meeting to explain and make a plan moving forward to level out any deficiencies and/or excessive levels of minerals and toxins. Is drinking mules causing Cheryl to have a high level of copper in her body? I guess you will have to tune and find out!

Cheryl is flying solo for this episode! Listen in as she talks about what January means to her as she sips (or slurps) on some tea. With the New Year here and her 44th birthday approaching, Cheryl begins to think about where she is going in life, who she wants to be, and the things she needs to put into motion to keep her in the groves of this forever changing life...and body. With some awkward editing, because she thought an attacker was coming up the stairs, it was just the heaters, Cheryl will leave you thinking and laughing.
Wishing everyone a very happy 2023. Here is to a year of more laughs, more crying (because let's be honest the girl can cry), more honesty (or less...) and lots of amazing resources.

Cheryl sat down with one of her favorite humans for this episode, Brian Abbale. Brian is a health and lifestyle coach but his title is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. Brian and Cheryl can talk for hours about cells, nutrition, supplements, sleep, and the benefits and data from the Oura Ring (this is not a sponsored episode). Yes, they can talk for hours about this stuff, but don't worry, they only recorded an hour of many for this episode! Listen as Brian walks you through tips for getting a better night's sleep and how he helps guide his clients away from fad diets and processed foods and towards having a healthy relationship with real food. Cheryl's sleep has improved immensely because of Brian and the only thing that has her eyes open is for a world where real food is used for fuel, strength and longevity. This episode will get you ready for sleep, but also spark your interest in how you look at food.
