James 1:22-25 ESV
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
People can project their thoughts onto you all day. Something I’m learning to do is listen to what God expects from me vs. what other people expect from me.
1 John 4:1-6 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Who are you eating with? Are you eating with your friends who put you down & confirm ever bad thing you already think about yourself? Are you eating with your friends who don't have an answer for your problems or their own problems? Or are you eating with The One who has every answer you've been searching for? Luke 5:27-32 Jesus calls Levi to follow Him.
Exodus 20:17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbors."
What are you consuming? How is it keeping you from moving forward? "Blessed are those who hunger & thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled." Matthew 5:6
Faith requires us to take what we know to be true and apply it to our own lives & others we come in contact with.
Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to grow your mustard seed type of faith into a mustard tree type of faith?

I used to be someone who thought being a Christian meant never doing anything for myself. I no longer believe that. I believe that I serve a great God and because He lives within me I feel capable and called to do great things also.
