We are in control of our own destiny and can attain liberation. While he believed that there is no superior being or god who controls our fate, the soul follows the cycle of birth, death and rebirth until it reaches liberation.What is the purpose of this universe? One who is free of deceit is pure. Only the pure attain liberation, like a fire sprinkled with ghee. Religion is the pond; celibacy is its sacred shrine.

Communication Breakdown, What’s happening today? We don’t say what we mean, And we don’t mean what we say.
We trundle along in life, Not speaking when we should, We wait until it’s too late, And then say nothing good. We don’t look at each other, Nor smile as much these days, We are all so busy, Being busy is the craze.
But what is so important? That we don’t really talk? Why don’t we make time? Instead of running, we could walk. We use our text messages, Our computers, to speak for us, We use our telephones, And rely on our trust.
It’s hard to know what’s behind talk, If you’re not face to face, It’s hard to get a clear message, Isn’t it a disgrace?
That we don’t meet each other, And look eye to eye? That we don’t take the time, And understand why.
Why it is so important, We connect and really speak, Why it is essential, We truly listen and not freak.
When someone suggests something, That’s so far from our minds, World peace depends on these things, So lets not be so behind.

Jamaica was the first tropical country to take part in the Winter Olympics. This event has always been dominated by countries that are farther away from the equator, and it was a big joke in Jamaica when the government announced that they were sending a bobsled team to the 1988 Winter Olympics.
Things have changed since then, and the Jamaicans won the gold medal at the 2000 World push championship in Monaco. This story was made into a Disney film called Cool Runnings.
Say What?!
The Jamaican bobsled team did not own a bobsled and had to borrow one to compete. In Jamaica, there is an equivalent to bobsled racing that is called pushcart derby. This is basically racing downhill in a handcart and requires just one driver and passenger. The driver steers while the passenger uses his body to help the driver keep the cart on track. So far it has not been recognized as an Olympics-worthy sport, but you never know. It’s almost as if you need never ask about the origins of Africa; there never was a time when Africa was not here.
There is always a sense that whatever story about Africa is told, there is one story before it. And even when that story is told, there never is a sense that it is a story of origin. Africa was always here.
Every time this African story is told, you are left feeling that there must have been, at whatever point in this perpetual story with no beginning, a story of glory, a story of triumph, a story of kings and queens who were considered all under heaven, capable of shaping the whole world into their own image.
But that story does not seem to exist, not in any story that is ever told, and when it is even claimed, it does not belong: Africa could never be Rome; Africa could never be Greece. It always seems, Africa can never truly claim glory from history.
This African story feels like a story of a rise and fall with the tale of the rise wiped out of history so that all Africans could ever be conscious of is a state of perpetual fall that itself feels like a permanent phenomenon that always was.
While typically a fall is from grace, for Africa it feels as if the fall itself is both the beginning and the continuum.
To be born in Africa – more precisely, to be born African – for the longest of times felt like a life sentence to struggle. Is there any good thing that can come out Africa, the God-forsaken continent?

Change can often be a difficult thing for everyone to accept. No matter how big or small, sadly many of us fear it. The worry in change can be seen evidently in that friend unsure of his future after high school, or that family member who stumbles when asked what they would like to eat, only to order the same thing they have ordered the last 10 times.
