Consuming Heads: Recent Episodes

Banter of Brothers

These podcasts all fall under the topics of Culture, Cosmology, and Comedy. In Culture we will be discussing the information we are constantly consuming with our heads like art (movies ,literature, photo-shop, music,). In Cosmology we will discuss our view of the universe or the cosmos. We will discuss the beauty of the created universe and current events that involve cosmology like space colonization. Ultimately it is whatever we have consumed with our heads that we feel we need to discuss. DON'T LISTEN TO THE INTRO episode! start at dreams.

We apologize for splitting these episodes in 2. Our current plan with our Spreaker platform does not allow us to have longer episodes without splitting them. We will mostly be doing shorter episodes from now on unless the topic needs more time to talk about. We will be shooting for under 30 min. Thank you for you patience and as always keep consuming great culture, cosmology, and comedy.

We kick off the new year with a film review of the movie Interstellar. Here at CH we encourage you to watch the movie in preparation for this episode so there is no spoiling of the movie. That being said if you don't care it is still a great episode and you should listen. We discuss the film as an art form and how the culture views this as a science faction film. Discussion of how the science in the film applies to us as Christians is what will mostly lead the conversation. There is also a conspiracy theory segment in which Gabe digs up an old science epidemic the Bible has had the answer to for ages. P.S. Tell your friends and family about us.

We discuss the reality of angels and spiritual elements of the universe and what the Bible says about the balance between spiritual and physical. Ultimately we talk of space and the theories about it.

For comedy there is a zodiac game with Noah and Gabe. Also a fun story from Gabe about boy scouts.
(There are many scripture references to Genesis, Romans, Psalms, and such. Also sections of OUT OF THE SILENT PLANET are used along with quotes from C.S. Lewis, Flannery O'Conner, and others.)

Art {broad}, which is the first episode in the art segment, covers what the meaning of art is as a whole. We discuss how some people define art differently than others, but we do define what a baseline view of art should be (opinion is subjective not objective). There will also be some fun madgabs and thought provoking thoughts.
(Also we are discussing art as in HUMANITIES. We are not discussing "the art of performing sports, flying a kite, etc.)
