We have become so caught up in doing that we no longer return to being. Yet everything in life pulses — it goes out, and it comes in — and the coming in is not idleness but the way we are nourished. A reflection on presence, the rhythm we have lost, and the healing that is already within reach.
Many of us want to be fixed. Very few want to be healed. A reflection on the difference — and why healing, not just the fix, is the deeper invitation.
The Caribbean has always been a teacher — of rhythm, resilience, and relationship.
We live surrounded by water. Endless water, and so little land. Yet we often live as though we were somewhere else — trying to imitate the solidity of continents, building walls and habits meant for places not our own.
But we are not that.
We are a people of water — fluid, adaptable, ever-changing.

This journey is very important and we need to constantly check to ensure that we are on the path.

Facing these uncertain times has opened up many and varied conversations. Conversations that may be overdued but must be had sooner rather than later. These conversations remind us of the universal nature of this human experience.
