Spirit of Generosity – Part 3
2 Corinthians 9:10-11 (NLT) For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then breads to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be GENEROUS. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.
Generous – liberal in giving or sharing; unselfish, charitable, benevolent, bountiful, kindhearted
Acts 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

The Spirit of Generosity (Part 1)
2 Corinthians 9:10-11 (NLT) For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then breads to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be GENEROUS. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.
Generous – liberal in giving or sharing; unselfish, charitable, benevolent, bountiful, kindhearted
Acts 20:35 (NLT) And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
You give to what you love.
Romans 5:8 (NLT) But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
I must give to God first before I give to anything else.
Exodus 13:2 (NLT) “Dedicate to me every firstborn among the Israelites. The first offspring to be born, of both humans and animals, belongs to me.”
Proverbs 3:9-10 (CEV) Honor the Lord by giving him your money and the first part of all your crops. Then you will have more grain and grapes than you will ever need.
I honor the Lord by laying aside something on the first day of the week.
1 Corinthians 16:2 (NLT) On the first day of each week, you should each put aside a portion of the money you have earned. Don’t wait until I get there and then try to collect it all at once.
The tithe (tenth) belongs to the Lord.
Leviticus 27:30 (CEV) Ten percent of everything you harvest is holy and belongs to me, whether it grows in your fields or on your fruit trees.
Bring your tithe into the House of God.
Exodus 23:19 (CEV) Each year bring the best part of your first harvest to the place of worship.
Genesis 14:14 (NLT) When Abram heard that his nephew Lot had been captured, he mobilized the 318 trained men who had been born into his household. Then he pursued Kedorlaomer’s army until he caught up with them at Dan.
Genesis 14:16 (NLT) Abram recovered all the goods that had been taken, and he brought back his nephew Lot with his possessions and all the women and other captives.
Genesis 14:18-20 (NLT) And Melchizedek, the king of Salem and a priest of God Most High, brought Abram some bread and wine. Melchizedek blessed Abram with this blessing: “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. And blessed be God Most High, who has defeated your enemies for you.” Then Abram gave Melchizedek a tenth of all the goods he had recovered.
2 Corinthians 9:7-8 (NLT) “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will GENEROUSLY provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

Hungry for the Glory – Part 4
I believe we as believers must give more importance to the presence of God in our lives.
Glory – the manifestation of the presence of God
Review last weeks’ lesson
Hunger – a deep desire or craving
God doesn’t just want to manifest his glory in tangible ways, but he wants to manifest his glory in us. The glory is not limited to physical manifestations. But the Glory is a lifestyle!
We know this as the 10 commandments. Study shows that there are 613 commandments. They are listed throughout the rest of the law (Torah or Pentateuch) The first 5 books of the Bible. (Show graphic)
We are good with relating to God, but we are terrible with each other.
Matthew 22:36-40 (NLT) “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
The bulk of the commandments is how you treat others. If we aren’t showing love to each other, we are not displaying the Glory of God. With that being said God desires justice in how we treat and serve each other. He doesn’t want us to be so heavenly minded that we are no earthly good. Justice – to make right!
Amos 5:21-24 (MSG) “I can’t stand your religious meetings. I’m fed up with your conferences and conventions. I want nothing to do with your religion projects, your pretentious slogans and goals. I’m sick of your fund-raising schemes, your public relations and image making. I’ve had all I can take of your noisy ego-music. When was the last time you sang to me? Do you know what I want? I want justice—oceans of it. I want fairness—rivers of it. That’s what I want. That’s all I want.
Jesus was a revolutionary who came to shake up the world, so people could see and experience the glory of God through Him and not through the traditional religious community. Jesus didn’t fit in with the normal crowd. Jesus came to disrupt the normal so that His Kingdom could be established in the earth.
Matthew 10:34 (CEV) Don’t think that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came to bring trouble, not peace. (Trouble – Disturbance or Shaking Up)
(Graphic) John Lewis – “Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America.”
Jesus says I didn’t come to blend in, I came to take over. I came to shake some things up!
But today, we see a different interpretation of the Gospel. There is a great theological divide in the Christian community about how we think and operate as Christians…particularly black Christians.
And for some reason Christians of other cultures think we are not being Christian by stirring up the community and pointing out things that are unjust. I want to say that your interpretation of Christianity is why racism exists as we speak. Christianity was used as a back drop to enslave black people.

Exodus 24:12-18 (NLT) Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain. Stay there, and I will give you the tablets of stone on which I have inscribed the instructions and commands so you can teach the people.” So Moses and his assistant Joshua set out, and Moses climbed up the mountain of God. Moses told the elders, “Stay here and wait for us until we come back. Aaron and Hur are here with you. If anyone has a dispute while I am gone, consult with them.”Then Moses climbed up the mountain, and the cloud covered it. And the glory of the Lord settled down on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days. On the seventh day the Lord called to Moses from inside the cloud. To the Israelites at the foot of the mountain, the glory of the Lord appeared at the summit like a consuming fire. Then Moses disappeared into the cloud as he climbed higher up the mountain. He remained on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
Proverbs 21:2 (NLT) People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart.

Hungry for the Glory – Part 2
2 Chronicles 5:13-14 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith…
Quote – When you find your stance, you will have Power, Mobility and Balance.
Power – how you punch in the fight (Strength)
Isaiah 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Mobility – how you move in the fight (Transitions)
Philippians 3:12 I have not yet reached my goal, and I am not perfect. But Christ has taken hold of me. So I keep on running and struggling to take hold of the prize.
Balance – how you stand in the fight (Position)
3 John 1:2 Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in soul and spirit.
Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Refresh your Spirit, Replenish your Body and Renew your Mind
Ecclesiastes 9:7-9 Be happy and enjoy eating and drinking! God decided long ago that this is what you should do. Dress up, comb your hair, and look your best. Life is short, and you love your wife, so enjoy being with her. This is what you are supposed to do as you struggle through life on this earth.
Psalms 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.
Proverbs 24:16 (Message) No matter how many times you trip them up, God-loyal people don’t stay down long; Soon they’re up on their feet, while the wicked end up flat on their faces.

Daniel Fast Devotional – Day 1
FOCUS – Matthew 6:5-18 (KJV / NLT)
Jesus gives us instructions on how we should pray and fast. As you read the verses, you will discover that prayer and fasting are not meant to glorify you but glorify God. You will also see that you ought not to bring attention to yourself during your time of prayer and fasting. When your FOCUS is on God, He will reward you openly in front of others. Remember you are doing this as unto the Lord, and not man.
Jesus gives us an example of how we ought to shape our prayers so that we will pray effectively. We often call this the Lord’s Prayer, but this is a prayer template or guide for your time with God. As you read through the prayer in verses 9-13, start to write your prayer by using words and phrases that fit the template Jesus left for us in verses 9-13. Try writing some things down so that you can stick to the template and start shaping your prayers into being more effective.
Ask God to help you forgive others just like Christ has forgiven you. See others the same way God sees them and loves them. Ask God to help you with the hurt and pain they caused in your life and release that unto the Lord. You will find a weight being lifted off your shoulders as you let go of the hurt and embrace God’s love.

Fasting For Results
One of the main reasons is to develop a deeper spiritual awareness of faith and trust in God. By fasting, one draws closer to God by abandoning body pleasures (such as food and drink) or anything that may be a distraction in your spiritual journey. This makes the sincerity of your faith and devotion to God all the more evident.

Favor for Your Miracle (Part 2)
Luke 1:26-30 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
Protection – to defend or guard from attack, invasion or loss
Psalms 5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
Promotion – to advance in rank, dignity, or position; to go to a higher level
Genesis 39:1-4 (AMP) And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the captain and chief executioner of the [royal] guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him down there. But the Lord was with Joseph, and he [though a slave] was a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all that he did to flourish and succeed in his hand. So Joseph pleased [Potiphar] and found favor in his sight, and he served him. And [his master] made him supervisor over his house and he put all that he had in his charge.
Psalms 75:-6-7 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one and setteth up another.
Provision – to supply or equip
Exodus 3:21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:
Exodus 3:21 (MSG) I’ll see to it that this people get a hearty send-off by the Egyptians—when you leave, you won’t leave empty-handed!
Psalms 102:13 Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Hold On To Your Faith - Sunday, November 28, 2021, 9 AM Service
Hold On to Your Faith
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
2 Corinthians 4:8-9 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
Quote – “A faith that hasn’t been tested is a faith that can’t be trusted” – Adrian Rogers
Keep My Focus on God
2 Corinthians 4:18 (NLT) So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
Establish My Hope in God
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Psalms 62:5 (NLT) Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him.
Jeremiah 17:5-7 (NLT) This is what the Lord says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord….“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.
Trust the Power of God
1 Corinthians 2:4-5 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (MSG) So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us.

The Power of Thanksgiving
Learn to give God thanks in the midst of hopeless and challenging circumstances. If you can thank God while you’re in it, He can help you get out of it. – 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (AMP)
Try to spend more time being thankful and not complaining. It’s hard to be thankful and complain at the same time. Thank God for everything that you have. – Philippians 2:14 (NLT)
Learn to be content with what you have. Don’t let what you don’t have to make you not appreciate what you do have. – Philippians 4:11 (AMP)
Give thanks for the opportunity to come to church and worship the Lord with your brothers and sisters. Come into the sanctuary with the spirit of thanksgiving. – Psalms 100:4
The Spirit of Thanksgiving releases Healing, Provision, and Deliverance.
Giving thanks releasesHEALING in your life. When the leper came back and told Jesus to thank you, it released him being made whole. Thank God for your healing. It releases a miracle in your life. No matter how you feel physically, thank God for your healing and praise him that it's already done. – Luke 17:12-18 (NLT)
Giving thanks releases PROVISION in your life. When Jesus gave thanks for the food he had, it released a supernatural miracle on the five loaves and two fishes. Thank God for what you have, and watch God give you more! – Mark 6:41-44 (AMP)
Giving thanks releases DELIVERANCE from anything that has you bound. When Jesus gave thanks, it created an opportunity for Lazarus to be raised from the dead and loosed from his grave clothes. As you thank God, whatever had you bound must let you go! – John 11:39-44 (NLT)
Give thanks for the food you eat. Make sure you say a prayer before you eat your food. Ask God to sanctify and bless your food every time you eat. – 1 Timothy 4:3-5 (CEV)
Give thanks to your loved ones. Be thankful for the time you shared with them and the good they deposited in your life. Celebrate their good works during this time. – Revelations 14:13 (NLT)
