Guys... its been a tough week so far.

Difficult start for each team: the Mavs fell 2-0 after a disheartening loss in Phoenix, while the Stars battled it out in a narrow 1-0 loss to the Calgary. Zach was in a bad mood before the show, but he managed to pull it together.. for the good of our listeners that is!

The guys also give an update on the world of Texas baseball, with the Rangers recent victory against Atlanta, and the Astros latest hitting spree.

Make sure to stick around - to hear one of the "best nba analysts" Shaquille O'Neal's interesting comparison of Tyler Herro to Luka Doncic and Trae Young.

ON TODAY'S SHOW (recorded Wednesday, April 28th)

The guys introduce a new segment: Lone Star Loser of the Week - where we highlight baffling takes from analysts that deserve to be shamed.

There is a ton of misinformation in sports media. We are in the middle of the playoffs and Skip and Shannon are still talking about the Lakers. For Lone Star 360 - We want sports news to be both relevant and accurate. This is our attempt at enforcing misinformation in sports media.

Also on this episode:

If you're a Mavs fan, there's a good chance you spent Monday night frantically pacing around your living room. We know we did... what a game.

  2. USFL Begins

  3. Mavericks made history - in multiple statistical categories

Yes the Dallas Mavericks are in the playoffs - but unfortunately a cloud of doubt hangs over the Mavericks as superstar Luka Doncic' strained his calf in their final preseason game vs. the Spurs. How will the Mavericks fare on Saturday vs. the Utah Jazz?

This week, the guys chat about the upcoming NBA playoffs, the start of MLB season, and FC Dallas' recent success.

Zach's home was indeed threatened by a tornado - you can even hear the wind passing nearby... but not to worry. Everything turned out okay and no one was harmed!

After a week of no basketball, the guys reflect on an awesome NBA All-Star Weekend. The league celebrated its 75th anniversary by honoring the NBA's 75 greatest players of all time. It was an extended halftime presentation, honoring players as far back as Bob Cousy (1950) to more recent legends, like Stephen Curry, who put on an amazing performance dropping 50 points - 16 three pointers all in one game.

In this episode, we'll give you  the latest on the MLB lockout, the Dallas Stars' Playoff Hopes,  Micah Parsons being named defensive ROY, and the Mavs' chances to win 50 games.

Unbelievable week in Texas sports. We are all still recovering from the Super Bowl this past Sunday, and of course, the trade that shocked Dallas. UT Sports are on a roll ( to Zach's dismay), and Texas Tech was recently named to be one of 8 teams to win the national championship this year.

There were also some things we had to talk about that were in the news for the wrong reason. Dallas Cowboy's Senior VP of of Public Relations was accused of voyeurism, and the Cowboys paid a hefty settlement of $2.4 million to the victimized cheerleaders.

Internationally, Russian skater Camila Valieva is receiving some heat due to the comparison of her doping case to that of Shakari Richardson's suspension for marijuana. Where will the line be drawn?

The NBA was was turned upside down this week. Heading into the NBA trade deadline, we saw major franchise players like Harden, Simmons, Haliburton, and Sabonis get traded. We didn't expect the Mavericks to make a move, but we were all in for a surprise.

On Thursday afternoon, the Mavericks traded former All-Star: Kristaps Porzingis and a second round draft pick to the Washington Wizards, getting Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans in return. The move shocked individuals all around the league - was this a good trade for the Mavericks?

Also in this episode, we hear a little bit about our other Texas basketball teams: The San Antonio Spurs & Houston Rockets. Zach, Ryan, and David give their midseason grades for each team.

Is Patrick Mahomes' Legacy being tarnished by the actions of his family?
What are your predictions for this weeks' Super Bowl?

Thanks for tuning in - we appreciate the support!

We took a little break, but we're back! There was a lot that happened last week - between the NFL playoffs, college football drama, and the Olympics starting up, there is a lot you might have missed. Zach wasn't the only one ranting this week, as Texas A&M's football coach Jimbo Fisher took out his frustrations with Nick Saban in a recent interview. Tune in to hear our honest and unfiltered opinions!

This weekend was arguably the most entertaining NFL playoffs week we have ever seen. There were upsets - Top seeded Green Bay and Tennessee fell to Cincinnati and San Francisco, which was surprising, but the real excitement came on Sunday. Brady and the Bucs' tried to forge a comeback, but Stafford's heroic throw to Cooper Kupp set up the game winning field goal. Over in Kansas City, a back and forth QB battle resulted in Twenty-Five points in the last two minutes, and Mahomes took his team down the field to strike first in OT.

Congratulations to former Longview Lobos Trent Williams, Travis Howard, and Jamycal Hasty for making it to the NFL Conference Championships!

The Cowboys are done, but we've still got one DFW team that knows how to play some defense. Mavs have been #1 in Defensive Rtg in the past 20 games. Are the Dallas Mavericks legit?

David and Ryan are pleased to introduce a new segment to the show "Zach Rants" (still thinking of a new name). The purpose of this segment is for Zach to let out all of his latest frustrations - but not get carried away.

This episode, Zach is upset with A&M prospect Harold Perkins, and Dallas Head Coach Mike McCarthy... tune in to hear his thoughts.

Thanks for listening!

In a year chalked up as "Super Bowl or Bust," the Cowboys chose bust.  Join us in a "feel-bad", but humorous episode, and hear as Zach revisits his delirious comments from early in the season. Who is to blame for the cowboys' first round exit?

In this week of Texas Sports, David, Ryan, and Zach recall the Cowboys' 25-22 loss to the Cardinals  - and their run in with legend, Dirk Nowitzki, as he prepares to get his jersey lifted into the rafters this Wednesday. Over at FC Dallas', USMNT forward Pepi Ricardo signed with FC Augsburg of the Bundesliga. How will his career pan out in Germany?
Special thanks to Shahzeb: a Green Bay Packer, 'Bama, and OKC fan for joining us this week, and giving us unbiased perspective about our teams.

Check in with the guys as we reflect on a wild week in Texas sports. The Mavericks show signs of life despite a lack of depth, and seem to have found valuable contributions from players on 10-day contracts. The Mavs made a huge splash after signing well respected veteran Isaiah Thomas to a 10-day deal of his own. In Jerry World, the Jones' family watches on with glee as a Cowboys squad obliterated their division rivals, the Washington Football Team. Washington fans were not as gleeful, however, and a fight erupted just a few rows ahead of the Jones' family suite. Hear what David had to say about the altercation.
