There was a storm in the UK recently and many trees fell in the wind, but many others were felled! You can learn the different between these two verbs in the podcast!
to fall / fell / fallen
to fell / felled / felled
Additionally, we look at some other weather-related vocabulary!
- inland - describing a location which is away from the sea or the coast
- high winds - describing very strong and fast winds
- hail - small balls of ice which fall from the sky!
- coastal - describing areas which are close to the sea
- exposed - describing land which has little protection from bad weather
