In this episode we discuss, the meaning behind "Plant Food Anyway" and explore how what we believe can lead us to make decisions that we are not ok with and perpetuate systems that inevitably lead to our own downfall. Walk with me as we explore and open space for discussion to learn new ways of being.
A Podcast about the simple things, we inevitably being plant food should have the ability to talk about complex issues and concerns in ways that allow us to come to new definitions of old things for the betterment of us all.
Gentrification is pretty terrible, if you ask me. It hurts and dehumanizes and those are the things that I feel, never having been displaced from a home because of it, so imagine what those who have are feeling as a result.
We have to start seeing people in ways that make them feel seen, felt, heard, and loved.

Why are we even doing this?
What demands are we placing on each other to show up in ways that we don't even enjoy showing up in ourselves.

Its been a while but wanted to get these thoughts out.
What are you ok with and how are you making that possible?
What are you not ok with and how are you contributing to that thing existing?
In the simplest ways we can create a world that is safe to exist in for all people but it takes sacrifice, unless we are ready to make that sacrifice we will continue to see the same results from the same system. Change the input to change the outcome.

Question: Why do African Americans feel the need to redefine the masters tools?
Question: Do the masters tools of another color produce different results?
Question: Has the presence of black police officers reduced the impact of the prison industrial complex?
Question: How do we move forward with the same intention, but different actions to produce different results?
Lets talk about the safety of black women in the black community and put the onus for change on the ones who need to change. Black Men!!!
The harm that comes to black women is often time at the hands of black men and how do we as black men remove the ever-present threat of harm, that women feel the need to be protected from. (This is not the only harm that is present for black women but one that I as a black man have the ability to impact in my day to day life)

I've got a lot of questions but not a lot of answers. Hopefully you can help me out. Maybe Ill talk about something else in the next episode but until then here's what on my mind.
