The Avengers originally ran on British television in the 1960 and became a radio program in 1971 in South Africa on Springbok Radio. It starred Donald Monat as John Steed, and Diane Appleby as Emma Peel, and like the television series before it featured quirky villains, mad scientists, secret organizations and off-the-wall situations.
