Boxing Talk Radio Welcomes Shannon Briggs
Listen in as former heavyweight champion, Shannon Briggs 51-6-1 (45) speaks out on his career, his past and his future. Briggs, a native of New York, has participated in the bang for your buck sport since 1992. And in his time he has shared the ring with the likes of George Foreman, Lennox Lewis, as well as Vitali Klitschko. In 2004, Briggs, behind on points dropped and stopped Siarhei Liakhovich with one second left in the fight to garner the WBO heavyweight title. All though Briggs has not fought since 2010, when he lost a ten round decision to WBC champ, Vitali Klitschko, the Cannon plans on making his return in the near future. Tune in as an always candid and colorful Briggs speaks out on his return, giving his thoughts on the heavyweight division, and breaks down this past weekend’s fight, when Wladimir Klitschko defended his titles against Alexander Povetkin.

Listen in as the host, the Big Dog Benny Henderson Jr. gets the thoughts and opinions from Minto as he prepares to travel to Germany October 25th to take on the former world title challenger, Francesco Pianeta 28-1-1 (15 KO’s), in a scheduled ten round heavyweight match-up.
This will be Minto’s fourth time to travel overseas since taking on and defeating former world title challenger, Axel Schulz in November of 2006. All though the Butler native has not been successful in his recent outings fighting on foreign soil, the Beast believes he has the skill, experience and will power to gain victory in his quest for a shot at the heavyweight crown.
