Hey Listeners! Life has so many to-dos, plans, and directions. In the last couple of weeks, I said I was done following a script. I turned a well-known challenge into my version. I couldn't follow the script - for all the right reasons. It's okay! If something isn't speaking to you the way it should, PIVOT! Life is too short to feel okay about what you're doing. It's too short to spend time not connecting to what you are committing to. I've been struggling for a bit now, and the clouds have finally parted. The self-love work I've been doing and banking paid off - as I could pull myself back to where I feel happy and energized again. Tune in to find out what I learned and how it can apply to things in your life. Put yourself first and love yourself inside out! @MrsLaurenElizabethJones | MrsLaurenElizabethJones.com
Hey Listeners! Kay Castro is on the pod! We laughed throughout the recording and covered a lot—her entrepreneurial career, balancing family life with everything else, and her journey with PCOS. She was an open book, getting real and raw about her struggles and triumphs. You'll learn how to listen to your body, make decisions that work for you, and how to succeed at what you set out to do. Plus, Kay provides a few freebie self-care beauty practices (for you!) that you can do at home with ingredients you might already have. She also shares what she does to practice self-love and how she found her way to putting herself first. @MrsLaurenElizabethJones | MrsLaurenElizabethJones.com Meet Kay! @heykaycastro | KayCastroBeauty.com Kay Castro is a Dallas-based makeup artist and creative entrepreneur. Hey Listeners! I'm excited for you to listen to the episode today! This episode is from the heart. I talk about something I'm struggling with. Just the last few days, I've realized that when I need support, I should lean in versus pulling away and continuing down the negative self-talk cycle. Plus, I discuss how cool it would be to live out Valentine's Day every single day! Think of self-love practices and actions you can take to share love and kindness with others. Tune in now to hear all the goodness. I have to share a little bit of a woo-woo story to share about the 444 in the title. Check out my reel on IG to find out why it's there. Hey Listeners! This podcast episode was inspired by Lauren Graham's book "In Conclusion, Don't Worry About It." If you haven't read her books yet, I strongly encourage you to do so. She is so full of life and zest and truly sparkles. Her energy is uplifting -- which is everything I want to have during the "year of me." She had the opportunity to give a commencement speech at her high school years after graduating, and this book started from the speech she was working on. I am so glad she published it because it is full of hope and acknowledges that you don't need to be perfect or follow a set plan. You can change course. It's okay if you haven't gotten your dream title or hit a milestone you set for yourself. The accomplishments you've had are enough - you are enough. Perfect isn't perfect. Amazing things are ahead. This pod discusses all that and how you can move and grow in the time ahead. Tune in now to get your weekly dose of positivity and confirmation that you are enough, just as you are. Welcome to 2024 - The Year of Me! Your year should be built to let you be your best self. You don't need a hundred resolutions to do things because others expect you to do them. Or to invest in ways that aren't aligned with your goals. I am committed to stepping back and focusing on the simple things that will allow me to live happily and healthily. I'm setting myself up for the years ahead and reinvest in me. I have no expectations other than to constantly be aligned with what I want, give myself grace when I know I won't be perfect at it, and find joy in what I'm doing. I'm living this year more authentically by leaning into myself, honoring my intentions, and celebrating a New Year, More You vs. New Year, New You. Join me on this journey to living one of the most empowered years yet - by making ripples of self-love and being the best you! @MrsLaurenElizabethJonesMrsLaurenElizabethJones.com

It's the holiday season, and I know of a gift you can give yourself and others that costs nothing. It's forgiveness. It's a gift that can positively change your life and the other person's. Forgiveness is deeply personal and can create vulnerability. It can be challenging when emotions are running high. It's something to take a look at for yourself. You can forgive the situation even if you never express it to the other person, which creates peace for yourself. In the episode, I talk through a recent interaction where I could give someone the gift of forgiveness and some thoughts about how you can get to a place for forgiveness for yourself. Tune in now! Next week on the podcast, I have a special guest who will give you the ultimate pep talk to kick 2024 off right! It's a can't-miss episode. @MrsLaurenElizabethJonesMrsLaurenElizabethJones.com

Hey Listeners!
This is the last episode in the three-part series about my why. In the pod, I share all that has happened since therapy (so much goodness)! A lot has changed. I explain this more in the episode. It’s important to share because it has to do with my mental health journey, and we need to end the stigma around mental health. I hope someone listening can relate and realize they aren’t alone in their journey and that help is available if needed and when ready. No one solution works for everyone, and this is my story. It’s not meant to be applied to anyone else.
Part 1: Background
Part 2: Action
Part 3: What’s Next
Thank you for listening!
Hey Listeners! Welcome to part 2 of the 3-part series on My Why. In this episode, I talk about my time in therapy, the EDMR treatment route I chose, and what happened during the sessions. I am not a therapist, nor am I trained in this. Please do your homework and research to decide what's right for you. This is my story of what happened to me. Please keep in mind we're all different -- so my experience may not happen to others. For me, the EMDR was literally magic (I dig into this more in the pod). Participating in therapy was hard work, and it required me to dig deep and sit in uncomfortableness. I decided I was ready to do whatever was needed and that the journey would be worthwhile. That was my mindset when I entered therapy, and I believe it's what gave me the power to push through. Check out this episode to hear about my therapy journey. @MrsLaurenElizabethJonesMrsLaurenElizabethJones.com

Hey Listeners! We do all this work on self-love, building confidence and growth -- and realize that one little insecurity can still creep in. I'm bummed that I'm even giving space to an insecurity in my mind. Today, I discuss an insecurity I am currently dealing with and how to stop it. Hey Listeners! Have you ever struggled with imposter syndrome? Or thought about what someone else was up to, and then thought, why can't I do the same thing? Maybe you have felt jealous of someone else's progress on a goal you want to achieve. I've been there recently. When you have a goal but aren't sure where to start, it's easy to find someone doing what you want to do and think, why can't I have what they are having? They've seemed to crack the code or know the secret to getting whatever it is done. I've caught myself jumping into the black hole to gather every insight I can. Hoping I'll get the same results. Trust me, it doesn't work - ever. You are an individual and are wired differently than everyone else. I discuss all this and the one fail-safe way to ditch the imposter and jealous feelings. Hey Listeners! Speaking your truth might keep you stuck when you're in a rut. It might take someone else, a cheerleader, to move you to the next level. In this episode, you'll hear about how my CrossFit journey has challenged me and is a living example of how a cheerleader (in this case, my coach) helped me change my narrative. I was speaking my truth and was giving myself the perfect justification for not changing. Hearing positivity and new words to identify with has pulled me out of my rut. It's time to stop stopping! We all procrastinate on something. It's so easy to stay in our comfort zone. I am guilty of saying tomorrow, the next day, or after x, y, and z. I think we forget about the little milestones along the way to the goal we're trying to achieve. Today on the pod, we dive into what can happen along the way and how to get yourself over the beginning pause. It's time to free your thoughts of everything you can complete if you stop stopping. Hey Listeners! In this episode, you'll get awesome inspiration to get up and go! Do whatever is on your list, vision board, or thoughts. Now is the time, as there is never a perfect moment, and we don't know what tomorrow holds. This was a hard episode for me to record as it's a tribute to my friend Craig, who left this world too soon. I am so lucky to have met Craig, as he was one of a kind. He exhibited so many things that most of us strive to achieve. He left a legacy through his daily life and through something super cool he did to give back. Follow Me: MrsLaurenElizabethJones.com@MrsLaurenElizabethJones About Brooke Hi, Hello, How are you?! My name is Brooke and I am a mindful branding and web designer as well as a mindset coach. Two things that have really stayed consistent in me for YEARS now are my love for creating and the power of our minds. I am a multi-passionate entrepreneur who believes that we all hold the power to create a life we love for ourselves, and I want to encourage you to chase all of your passions while doing so (you don’t have to pick just one). I have walked this talk by taking the leap of faith and quitting my corporate job to go full-time in my own business after coming to the realization that I was the common denominator in my life and in my unhappiness. So it was up to me to take back my power and flip the script of settling into the societal norms of life that we were all taught. I’m continuously expanding, loving my journey, and I am on a mission to help other multi-passionate women break the mold and create a life they love. When I’m not completely immersed in my entrepreneur life, you can find me in a hot yoga class, having a glass of red wine or a dirty martini while doing some form of creation for fun, or exploring my new city with my husband. reverieinspiredco.com@iambrookecsmith

Hey Listeners! Think about how many times you've started over on something. As a kid, you might have fallen off your bike and then got on it again. Now think about how many times you've tried something new as an adult that didn't work out, and you shied away. As we get older, we tend to get more scared or make more definitive decisions about not trying something again when it didn't go right the first time. Let's change that cycle - who cares if it didn't work or was embarrassing? Who cares! Let's forget judgments, reason, or what's holding you back, and let's try again. The future is bright! @MrsLaurenElizabethJones MrsLaurenElizabethJones.com
Being authentic is everything. Today on the podcast, I get raw about things not always being rosy, you know not a perfect Instagram moment. In the moments when you consider not doing it all or question your why - it's your inner strength that you can rely on that can pull you through. The Year of 40 - Making Big Moves
This is my "year of 40"! What does that mean? I've decided to invest in myself in BIG ways ($, self-love, believing in me). I had to ask myself if now isn't the time, when would it be? After restless nights of sleep, I realized that now is perfect - it.'s time! It's time to invest in me, jump all in and accomplish my dreams.
Investing in yourself can be scary - especially when your plan has a price tag and long-term commitment. You might be wrestling with thoughts of how I can spend that much on myself, or can I succeed? Or maybe, am I good enough? There will always be challenges in new and exciting things. It's when you've decided to believe in yourself, give yourself a boost of self-love, and take that leap that MAGIC happens!
We've talked about writing your narrative - now we're onto Legacy Status! Every single day you are building your legacy. It's so cool that we can leave a legacy and actively participate in what it is. Your decisions, authenticity, and how you show up in your life are the things that go into leaving a legacy. So often we think of words as limiting, like someone labeling us. Let's flip that script and embrace our empowering words. That's right. You can choose words that empower you and share them with the world through how you move through life. "The pen is mightier than the sword" - Edward Bulwer-Lytton. He knew the power of words. When used in the right way words can elevate us all to be bigger and better.
Tune in as I discuss the difference between labels and empowering words! It's time to own your narrative and let yourself shine! Love Yourself Inside Out!
Even if reality TV or Real Housewives aren't your things, this pod episode is still for you! Reality TV is full of strong individuals putting their lives on display for all to watch. In most cases this leads to judgments (unfortunately), but these people have to authentically own who they are and the decisions they make because anything off will come out.
I walk through 5 reasons I may not be the ideal candidate for the Real Housewives franchise. I think the flavor I'd bring would be so different -- even though I would 100% say yes to the opportunity to be on the show. I'd be trying to diffuse the drama! Lol! Not so fun for TV. However, I love that the shows allow me to learn more about myself and think about how I'd show up in those situations.
It's so important to love yourself as you are and allow others to show up as they are. I'm so impressed with the Real Housewives and have mad respect that they are going for it and making the mistakes and having the successes for us to enjoy and learn from. Tune in now to see what kind of Housewife I'd be.
Hey Listeners!
Your journey is yours! Only you know what is right, and you can't go wrong when your head and heart are aligned. You are allowed to zig and zag and zag again. I get it though, you commit to something -- you share it with your world and then you change your mind about doing whatever it is you committed to. I've done this a million times. I've felt ashamed like I let myself down and others down, especially if I hear the disappointment in their voice. When it's your journey, you only need to be concerned with how you feel about the situation and if you are moving in the right way for you. Tune in now and join me as I share my stories and struggles with all of this!

This pod me is jumping back into it all and sharing something I am proud of. Find out why YOU should be proud too. Tune in anywhere you listen.

Guys I hit burnout -- after being on the GO for a long time.
Burnout lasted a few years and looking back I for sure missed some of the warning signs. I'm sharing my story about burnout because I feel like people hide when it happens. It can be embarrassing to admit that you can't do it all. Or maybe you can't even do some of it or anything. No joke, I became a couch potato when I was in it.
I'm sharing my real and raw emotions about what I went through. Tune in to realize you aren't alone when burnout occurs.
The second half of the Pageant Weekend pod is here!
This episode covers all things pageant -- find out what happens once I stand on stage (multiple times). It was so fun, and more than I hoped it would be. Every contestant was so nice and we created a bond that day. I had such a fun time meeting everyone; most of all, I loved showing off my hard work. The day was a win for me because my confidence was next level -- which is a major accomplishment considering the years where I've struggled with self-love.
I literally asked a panel of people to judge me and I felt empowered by it. Tune in now to hear about it all.
My first pageant was an AMAZING experience!
I caught the pageant bug and will be competing again (soon)! Before we get too far though listen now to hear all about what went down during my first pageant. This two-part pod is full of info and gives you an inside look at my pageant experience.
This episode takes you through the lead-up to the first walk on stage. It was a life-changing experience, but you'll need to listen to find out why.
Yes, we're talking about COMPLIMENTS!
We've talked a lot about giving compliments and how they can make someone smile or totally change their day. We really haven't talked about accepting them when someone gives them to us.
It feels so uncomfortable at times to hear someone say something super nice about us, especially if we've never thought about ourselves in that way. I know I've been guilty of shutting down or deflecting a compliment. It's such a detriment when that happens as we're basically telling ourselves that the negative self-talk is right and that the nice thing meant nothing.
What if you could sit and soak in the compliment and even start believing it? YOU CAN! Tune in to find out how you can take it and start letting positive self-talk rule your narrative!

Don't Hesitate - Just Do
Well, when it applies. I can get caught up thinking and thinking until I talk myself out of something. Sometimes I do the pro/con analysis and stop myself. Other times I'll just jump into the negative and stop the positive benefits from coming. Does anyone relate?
Sometimes you just need to go all in and jump into the new and exciting journey! Regardless of the outcome, I can guarantee you'll learn something new about yourself and you'll grow from the experience. Tune in now to see when to dive in!

What Would You Tell Your Younger Self?
This a deep question, but so good. When you really sit and think about it, I'm sure you could come up with many things to say. There are so many life lessons we've learned, so how could you pick just one lesson? For me it's easy - but you'll have to tune in to find out what I shared. It's raw and real and would cover some hard spots in my life. Can't wait for you to listen to get inspired to figure out what you'd say!

You Make a Difference
Your words and actions impact others and I think it's super easy to gloss over that, not recognize it or forget what you said. If you think back to a person that's had a positive impact on you, it's interesting to think if they realized at the time the impact they were making. I recently learned firsthand what impact words can have even for people that I barely know. It is truly amazing. Tune in to learn more about the impact you make.

Omg. Episode 30! Thank you!!!
This is a special episode because it's the last pageant update before the big day. I can hardly believe that the last couple of years has flown by. A dream born out of watching reruns of Toddlers in Tiaras is now coming true. The journey has been a lot of hard work with ups and downs. I've learned so much about myself and cannot wait to step on the stage! I am ready, excited, and can't wait to let myself shine - in a new exciting way. There is ALWAYS a reason to celebrate. If you can't think of one - you're not doing yourself justice. Some days making it to the store is the reason to celebrate. Celebrations don't have to be big and they don't have to be grand. The celebration has to be personal and something YOU appreciate. Figure out something you can celebrate today!
It's my anniversary week! 17 years - OMG! While I'm sharing some favorite memories, there is something in it for you too. Ever felt vulnerable? Ever felt like you lost part of your identity? Umm... everyone's hands should be raised. I'm sharing one of my most vulnerable and embarrassing life situations, how I worked through it (not perfectly) and the lesson learned.
Ever feel like you want to hide from others? I get it. Been there done that! I've offered to take the picture instead of being in it. I've made up reasons to ditch the gathering. I've been in spots where I've judged myself so harshly that there was no return. It's no fun to hide in plain sight, especially during this time of the year. This topic applies year-round, but I felt like it was so important to discuss now as there tend to be a lot of social obligations in the month of December. Sometimes it's just not your thing and that is okay. However, sometimes it is your thing, but you're holding yourself back. Tune in to hear more about hiding in plain sight.

2023 is right around the corner! Starting a new year is always exciting -- it's also a time to reflect. I'm ready for 2023 but am grateful for 2022, rough start and all. December can be a crazy month with holidays and celebrations -- some would call it stressful. There could be pressure and a feeling of not living up to expectations. Your goal for the last month of 2023 should be to make yourself a priority and realize it's okay not to do it all. Live in the moments that happen over the next 34 days and know life isn't perfect and you don't have to be either.
It's the week of Thanksgiving! I dive into my plans and what I'm thankful for. In addition to all of you, I am super grateful for validation. Tune in to get tips on how to give someone else the gift that keeps on giving. This episode of the Love Yourself Insideout pod will give you a break from the holiday prep or work stress. Remember to give yourself "me" time during the holiday season!
Life is full of lemons - but you've got it! You can turn a lemon into lemonade. Easy. You already have all the ingredients you need. Self-love is number one. Listening to your gut is second. Relying on yourself to take steps toward a solution is last. If you were using a fresh lemon, you might remove the peel, cut the lemon into smaller pieces, or juice the lemon - you'll do the same thing to whatever issue is ahead of you. Sometimes it helps to have a visual to work through the challenge ahead. Tune in now!

Food is a touchy subject for a lot of people. We all have to eat to live, yet a lot of judgment happens around what others are eating or aren't eating. I'm curious why people feel like they should talk about what others eat. The thing about eating is that people have so many reasons for eating what they do. Just like you have a history with food, so does everyone else. It really sucks when you feel like you can't eat without someone else taking inventory or judging what you're consuming. In this episode, I share some personal stories about my relationship with food and some other fun things. Wonton-a-thon anyone? Tune in now to find out what that is and why food judgment needs to stop.
